And instead of coming to a job. Okay. Where he's despised and rejected. Well, now it makes sense. Is that accurate? Any retort from Deucer's Alley? You never know what a cruise ship's going to pull up with occupancy and need somebody to jump on. And he would jump right out of here. That's for sure. That's the way you treat him, Jason. Yeah, well, because I would be on his back and make him carry me there. Into the cruise ship. Welcome, one and all. NFL news to talk about. A couple of interesting pieces of news.

And then we have trending or ending a mailbag episode today as well. How are you doing, Mr. Moore? Doing fairly well. I'm excited for this season, this prospect season, the NFL draft. It's been a while since I've been this excited for the NFL draft. So special things in store this year. Yeah. There's going to be a lot of, you know, big time. long-term fantasy contributors coming from this draft. The wide receiver crop, in particular, the top end of it, is, has the potential to look like one of the best classes in a decade. Could it be a 2014 caliber class? Yeah, no, it's 2024 now. Oh. So it's been a decade. Whoa. Is it just the fours? Yes, it's guaranteed. But, yeah, the draft's going to be fun.

Jerry Judy has persuaded the Cleveland Browns to give him a three-year 41 million guaranteed contract extension that's worth up to $58 million. Chris.

habit of equity sports oh baby you sir are a master how did you convince the browns to do this i mean this is a lot of money for a very underwhelming player yeah i mean i know he's 24 i think i've been i've been convinced in the past that he was going to emerge i mean he he did finish at 21 fantasy wise back in 2022 in 15 games, 67 for 972 and 6. So the Browns were four seasons into his career. He hasn't hit 1,000 yards yet. To get 41 million guaranteed locked in, it just seems unnecessary. Through 57 career games for Jerry Judy, he has been a top 24 wide receiver 11 times. That would be 19% of the time he was a top 24 player.

Obviously, they think very highly of him. Yeah, I mean, they are expecting him to come in and play an important role. We're going to talk about David Nogoku in the trending or ending. And this money says that the Browns are expecting, you know, nay, demanding that he is the number two target in this offense. That's what they are wanting to shell out a $58 million deal for a JAG. Yeah, Kyle, you should let us know the Amari Cooper contract situation when we talk about Najoku later because I'm curious what the future is going to look like. They also don't have a settled running back situation. Deont de Foreman was added to the Browns, played for the Bears, was benched by the Bears. Well, you skipped a step. Played for the Bears. Yeah. Was really good for the Bears. Yeah. And then was benched by the Bears. That's true. I never understood it. They have Jerome Ford. They have Deonteforman.

They have Nick Chubb on the roster currently. Nick Chubb is they'd save $11 million against the cap if they cut him. He's recovering from a pretty catastrophic knee injury. And so. It would save a lot of money. They obviously have a lot of money. I still don't think they're going to do it. I was going to put you on the spot. I'm going to stick with that. I don't think they're letting go of Nick Chubb. If they do, there's a twisted irony of the fact that like Sean Watson and Jerry Judy have never done anything. And Nick Chub is the record setter yards per carry.

in the history of the NFL. Like he's right up there with Jamal Charles. And he's been an awesome Cleveland Brown. I mean, if they were to cut him while he's recovering from this injury, it would be bad PR. And obviously the Browns would just never do anything with bad PR. No. Ever. They shy away from. Can you picture the Watts and Judy billboards? I can. Just a new identity for the roster. It seems very Browns. Yeah. Mike Williams. There he goes. One year deal worth up to $15 million with the New York football jets. How do you feel about this? So Mike Williams, his timeline, he should be healthy. He should be ready to go. Pretty good. There's a week three injury for his ACL. They're giving him a lot of money to go in and get to play opposite of Garrett Wilson. And they desperately needed a number two. I mean, they didn't, Alan Lazard was not it.

There was no one else there that could like stretch the field. Right now it'll be Wilson, Mike Williams, Xavier Gibson. Those will be their top three wide receivers. It's a good wide receiver room when you got Breece Hall in the backfield. And what, conk conk at tight end? Yeah. I think I lean the more positive side for this one year deal than I imagine others do. Yeah. But maybe not you. It sounds like you kind of maybe like it. I do kind of like it. I think it's a great landing spot for all parties. Sometimes when a wide receiver shows up, you say this is good for the quarterback, or sometimes you say this is just a great landing spot for the wide receiver, doesn't really change the quarterback. I think this is really good for the team. I think it's a great landing spot for Mike Williams. The opportunities will be there for him. He plays a very different role than the Garrett Wilson role.

And obviously if you are a believer in Aaron Rogers and you want this offense to be good, they needed a number two wide receiver. So I think most people expected them to go after wide receiver in this draft. And they still could. They could add a third, you know, Gibson might not be that guy because he's not that guy. I think he's a pretty good player. But I do think they need to add somebody. And Mike Williams has to come out and say he'll be ready for week one. And whenever you have to come out and say that recovering from an injury,

That means that there's like, there's a risk factor. And Mike Williams is the only NFL player who at the peak of his jump, the gravity on earth changes. And he crashes down at a rate of speed, not congruent with Sir Isaac Newton. No. It is a, it's like another planet. Well, a lot of people don't realize it. When he elevates, he gains mass. Oh, okay. So that's, that's why, that's why the fall is. I don't know you're a scientist. Yeah. Well, you know, when you are super into fantasy football spreadsheets. You learn these things. Okay. The Raiders decided to muddy the waters, which we knew they would. Oh, of course they did. You think of this as muddy water? Oh, yeah, guarantee. They signed Alexander Madison. They have Zemir White. I expect them to also draft a running back somewhere. This is a disgusting backfield to prognosticate. I don't.

Look, I've never liked Alexander Madison. I'm on record. Never, ever, ever, ever liking him. That is true. You've talked very poorly about him for many years. And last year, when Mike was very pro-Madison, you basically talked about every other running back in the league is better than him. And yet, Minnesota gave him a lot of play. And he runs as hard as he can run. And that's the kind of player that... The Raiders love. And Zemir White is not a world beater. He was probably a bottom third running back starter in the NFL. And so I think adding Madison just muddies, they're going to run the ball a ton. And I think they're going to do it with multiple people. And I don't think that's what I wanted in Las Vegas. Now, you might believe in Zemir White more, but I've watched him play. You know who he reminds me of? Who? Alexander Madison. So you love him. Just fine. They're fine. Madison doesn't suck, okay?

There are running backs that straight up are terrible. He's not that, but he's not like a winner. Like he's not going to help you compare to the opponent. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, I know exactly what you're saying. He's just a guy. He's a lunch, pal, go to work, run as hard as I can't. He's A.J. Dylan. Yeah, that's a good comp. Zemir White, at least, is more athletic. I think he has more opportunity. And I believe he's the starter here. Now, it's not going to be. what we saw with Josh Jacobs, where he gets all the work, all the work, all the work. Then Josh Jacobs goes down, Zemir White steps in the last four games, and then he gets all the work. I think this will be a split, but I think Zemir White, having been the incumbent Pierce, their head coach really liking him. I mean, the four game stretched from weeks 15 to 18. I realize that wasn't bad, but what I'm saying is, is if Zemir White is what you said he is. Very athletic, which is what I said. No, no, no, the coach really likes him. Yes.

It's nice that he got nothing for 14 weeks. They liked him so much that an inefficient, horrible Josh Jacobs that was doing jack squat, they never even complimented him with Zemir White. They loved him that much. If you listened to Pierce last year during those times, Josh Jacobs was their guy. People would say, why isn't Zemir White getting play? Yeah, 6% of snaps for 14 weeks. Exactly. And he'd say, Zemir White, we love Zemir White, but. when you've got Josh Jacobs, you use Josh Jake. Like Josh Jacobs is the king here. Afterwards, though, this is how the season ended. The season ended with Zamir White getting 21 carries a game. He would have had a 17-game pace of 1687 rushing yards. So he was not bad, still was involved in the passing game. And then they let Josh Jacobs go.

And then they sign a middling guy. They tried to re-sign Josh Jacobs. Well, sure, but they didn't pay up for him. No, but my point is, is like, I think we're just going to disagree on their viewpoint of Zemir White. So who do you think is the start? You think Alexander Madison is a starter, Zemir White's the backup? No, I don't care about that designation for this team. I think it's, they're both RB2s. When you stat, so you're just going to give 50-50? Yes, pretty much. Yeah, I am. And the truth is, is Zemir White, they, if they wanted him to just be the guy, like they had them on the roster. They just.

This is the first running back that Antonio Pierce goes out and gets for himself. So I just think it's a backfield that sounds confusing to me because I know they'll want to run it. And so I think there will be value there. I just don't know where it's going to be yet. And it might get muddier if they add another. I mean, you knew they were going to add someone, right? Oh, yeah. We said it on the show last week when you were gone. But, I mean, you have to. They had Amir Abdullah behind them. There was, there's no running backs here. So they could have either gone out and got one of the, you know, first running backs of the draft, which would have hurt Zemir White much more, in my opinion, than them bringing in Alexander Madison. That could be true, depending on which one they would have taken. Rico Dada, one year deal with the Cowboys coming back. They have a running back now. That's good. They had none. So.

Who are they drafting? I think they, the nice thing for them is that they can do it late. I think it'll be, I'll put it this way. I think they're going to draft one later than people think, and I do not think they'll be, I don't think they'll be the first one off the board with it. I think it'll be, they'll be like the third or fourth running back off the board. Do you buy into the. team doctor being the Jonathan Brooks doctor. No. Inside information, if they draft them, they believe that the ACL recovery is going well. No, and to the Cowboys credit, they don't really do the Cowboy stuff anymore that you expect them to do. They don't. Give me an example. I mean, it wasn't that long ago that they said goodbye to, you know, Cooper while they signed Zeke to a monster deal. That's actually, uh,

I mean, letting go of Cooper is another example. They didn't spin up on him. They made a decision to divest of that selection. They didn't go this offseason, and they could have made the splashy move with Sequin or Derek Henry or somebody like that. That's the kind of old cowboys that I'm talking about. They spend picks on defensive and offensive line, and I just don't know if they're going to. I mean, they might get Jonathan Brooks in the third round or the fourth round. So in that case, they'll be fine. But I don't know. We'll be interesting. I do think whoever they draft is going to be very, very relevant with this step chart. Yeah, it'll be, right now it's what? Is Malik Davis still on the roster? Yes. He is. Deuce Vaughn. Yeah, I mean, Jason's point, well received. They're going to need to add somebody that'll compete to be the starter. I mean, I think that's the headline. Whoever they add in the draft will compete to be the starter. But I do think they like Rico Dado. And, um,

He may have more juice than some people think. Yeah, I mean, I wonder what their process was behind the scenes, considering how long it took for them to bring Dowdell back. You know, yes, they did not win any of these high free agent running back contracts, but I would imagine they were based on the length of time they took to get anyone back in the door. I would imagine they were having this conversation. And didn't find takers either. That's fair. All right. Do we have any other news, Brooksie? That's all for now. Okay. You know, in retrospect, now that I think about it, because we had a nice spirited debate about Zemir White and the viewpoint of Antonio Pierce and the Raiders. I do realize now inadvertently, it sounded like I like Madison. More than Zemir White. It sounded a little bit. No, just in general. Really? Yeah. I don't think so because you said I hate Alexander Madison. Well, I did say that part.

But I'm the one arguing that he would impact Zemir Wett. Yeah. So I like Madison less because of how much you like Madison. Yeah. I just feel like I ended up on the wrong side of the Madison situation. Well, you love him. This is your dude. Yeah. All right. Let's jump in. Trending or ending. All right. Our illustrious team over here at the Fantasy Footballers podcast with their. incredible dress apparel have put together a list of some trends that have taken place in recent years. Jason and I will be debating whether we believe these trends will continue or not. So let's begin. Isaiah Pacheco, trending or ending 20 opportunities per game. Very involved, Super Bowl champions.

He had a huge role to play. He's had the biggest workload since Cream Hunt for a Kansas City running back in the Mahomes era. So do we think that Isaiah Pacheco is, I guess, solidified as they're due? Oh, that's so hard to say. You know, it's like you need to kind of call your shot now before the NFL draft. They don't have a depth chart. Like they have one of these NFL depth charts where you go they have to add someone. They're going to sign a, you know, a middling veteran that's out there or draft a player. But I think they've got their guy. I really do. I think that they've just won back-to-back Super Bowls utilizing him in the playoffs. So I know at the end of the season, Isaiaho Pacheco was over 20 opportunities a game. It was a fantastic run to finish the season.

But he was so much more than that in the playoffs. 24 attempts, 24 attempts in two games plus 19 receptions or I'm sorry, targets through the playoffs. This was a guy who was extremely involved. It was a massive chunk of this offense. And they won the Super Bowl. Let me read you the best remaining free agents at running back. And you tell me if it matters to tie Zia Pacheco's workload or anything you view about him. Yeah. You already know the answer is no? I'm ready to say no. Zeke. No. Rashad Penny. Oh, you almost pump faked me there. Latavis. No. Dalvin Cook? No. No. JK Dobbins. Oh. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, what do you think? No. No. I think no. You think no. Yeah. What if it had been deontiform it? Would it be out of matter? No, I don't think so. I mean, look, all the major running backs. You're going to training. I am going on the trending side. They will add a running back.

at this draft. They're going to draft a running back. I will be very surprised based on the Michael P. Ryan and Keonté Ingram being the backups here. Yeah, who was the little guy that everyone wanted to buy into that they drafted? Do you know who I'm talking about? Remember the micro machine sized running back that everybody was all in on a couple years ago? I do not remember. Kyle, you've got to remember. Sleuth it. Find it, Kyle. There was a depth chart running back that was tiny that came out. And everybody went crazy about his opportunity. And he did absolutely nothing. Darwin Thompson. Darwin Thompson. So yeah, I mean, like the rookies coming in and establishing themselves in a two-time back-to-back Super Bowl Championship offense, I think is highly unlikely. It's more likely that they would get McKinnon back in the door or something like that. So I'm with you, trending.

His underdog best ball ADP right now is running back 14. Wow. So where do you think he lands? Last year he finished as the running back 16, but he missed three games. That being said, it's fair. It's a little unfair to qualify that he missed games because most running backs miss two games. But he was also injured in one of them. And his best run of finishes came at the back half of the year. I think he's a top 15 running back. So I'm fine with that spot. Okay. Do you agree? Yeah, I do. I want, you still want pieces of the Kansas City offense. I believe that they will throw the ball a little bit more this year. Some of what they did this past season and relying on the run was due to not having the weapons, but a year or two, Rashi Rice adding Hollywood Brown. I think they'll be able to open it up a little bit. DJ Moore, trending or ending top 12 fantasy wide receiver. First time he's ever done and he was the.

Wide receiver six. Okay. Incredible season from DJ Moore, yet his consistency is still sitting at a C. 47% of the time with games above 10 and a half. Didn't have Justin Fields for the whole year. Won't happen for any of the year this year. They made the big splash bringing in reliable Kenan Allen. I mean, he's the wide receiver 11? That's where he's going in basketball. That doesn't make any sense. That doesn't make any sense, which means we both. It's super stupid. Yeah, we're both on ending. We're both on ending. There's no chance DJ Moore is a top 12 wide receiver. They had. I'm a kale, well, you're best quarterback all the time. I mean, DJ Moore's a great wide receiver. Yes, I agreed. This is not an anti-DJ Moore take. It's a pro Kenan Allen take. CJ Stroud just had two top 15 wide receivers. It's not happening. It's not happening at all. Keenan Allen is a machine. A rookie quarterback coming in historically with.

So not historically. I know you, I know you lower the sample size to one year. Historically, that happens pretty frequently. If, if you lower it to one year, you've got a 50% hit rate of Bryce Young. You were going to say you know that I push back against that analytical view. Yeah, but I, and I love your post about pushing back to analytical views as the sole and only. operation, but I genuinely believe, even with the modern NFL, even just looking at the last four years, yeah, you have CJ Stroud, but you have way more. I mean, every year there's three or four first round rookies, you know, two to four first round quarterbacks taken, and they don't usually come through. Bryce Young was the 101 taken above CJ Stroud, and he's flat out sucked. I will agree. Yes, if you were, if you're playing the odds, they're still.

well below 50-50 that you get that kind of a year. The line set here is trending or ending top 12. So we're both ending on that, but I think 15 is okay. I think he could be at 15. Man, I- Shane Waldron coming in, passes the ball a ton. They'll probably do a lot of work to further equip Mr. Caleb Williams in this draft, protect him. He extends plays and when plays are extended, D.J. Moore gets open. I will say that. And DJ Moore's athleticism will have some monster games. I mean, that's what happened this last year, right? You had DJ Moore with a 45 fantasy point week against Washington when he went eight for 230 and three. But when you look at how it comes, maybe at the end of the year he's the wider receiver 15. You are not going to enjoy the process of getting there. He's not going to be the possession guy ahead of Keenan Allen, I don't think. You could argue that you didn't enjoy a wide receiver six finish last year. Exactly. So I agree with that.

I won't draft him at wider Super 15. If he drops into the actual... Well, you dropped him above Keenan? That's really interesting. I think I would prefer... So, I think I would prefer to have Keenan Allen and Keenan Allen will go far later in your startup drafts. DJ Moore is younger, more explosive, sexier. I would rather construct my roster with... I just meant that as handsome. I would rather construct my roster. with different explosive young wide receivers that are up near that wide receiver 10, 11, 12, and then add a reliable Keenan later. Well, let me ask you, will you prefer this player to DJ more or not? Trending or ending, D.K. Metcalf, two consecutive years outside the top 15 for D.K. Metcalf, not the kind of trend you wanted if you were a dynasty manager of DK. Last year, wide receiver 16, year before, wide receiver 18. It's not like he disappears.

always potential for double-digit touchdowns. He was at eight last year, 60 year before, but then two double-digit years before that. So they haven't been there since post-Russell Wilson. 79% of his receptions went for a first down. That was the second among all wide receivers. He's a very go-to type of wide receiver. It doesn't matter if you have Lockett or JSN. He has a go-to third-down receiver, goal-line receiver, had that. stupid, stupid, stupid three touchdown game against Dallas that no one, no one saw coming and it was against me. Someone hurt you. Yeah, he did. But trending or ending, D.K. Maccalf stays outside the top 15. Well, I'll answer your first question. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. D.J. Moore, D. I would way rather have D.K. Metcalfe than DJ Moore. Interesting. DK Metcalf is a better experience to have in our consistency metric. He's a B. He doesn't disappear as often as DJ Moore. And even though.

You know, if you talk, neither quarterback situation is great. A rookie coming in, Caleb Williams, at least you have hope that maybe he turns into, yeah, I mean, he could be. Who knows? But you have hope, like, oh, he could be awesome. Right now, who's the, is Gino, Gino? Let's say Gino's the quarterback again. They came out and said it. So then you've got, you've got no hope for some massive explosion. Some, some like, this quarterback is going to be. absolutely incredible under Mike McDonald. Like he's just going to take it to the next level. No, Gino's not doing that. 136 targets for DG. Moore last year, 119 for Metcalf. Very disappointing year for Gino. Yeah, I mean, I would, that's a team makeup situation. You'll hear us talk about this a lot. Like, if I took a super reliable week in and week out, like if this is not my number one receiver, I don't mind swinging for the DJ more fences here.
