In fact, I just saw the, I think the betting odds on coach of the year candidates. Yes. Before the show, it was John Harbaugh. Makes total sense. With the Giants. And then it was. Was it Minter? Yes. With the Ravens. Minter with the Ravens. And then it was Sala. Yeah. So, you know, the Ravens have been winners, but. You know, the opportunity to take a step forward, maybe with a new head coach and the other two teams. Turnaround teams. Right. I mean, the Giants. You know, I think that's got to be the coach of the year situation that's most often, you know, it's a team that was bad that turns it around.
It is funny to think about the Ravens. Like the, the, the opposition, you know, of Ravens fans, their coach. I mean, the, the team parted ways with Harbaugh, but he immediately goes and gets a job. And so you're like, do they want him to succeed? He might be far enough away from them that they do. Okay. I don't think they do. If that was, uh, it's kind of like when Andy Reid left Philadelphia and went far, far away to the AFC. You know, to me, it's a bigger deal if they stay in the conference, but. Certainly. But I don't know.
I, I would imagine Ravens fans. I'm not a Ravens fan, but I, I would imagine I love John Harbaugh and no hard feelings. Maybe. I mean, he brought you a Superbowl. Yeah. So I, I, you know, Andy Reid, how do Philly fans feel about Andy Reid? They never, he never got them one. Yeah. He got, he got ran out of town. Yeah. Is my memory of it. Well, they, they knew that he could win in the regular season, but he, he can't win a Superbowl. No. It'll never happen. Can't do that. But they're fine. Cause they went, they went and got their own.

Quick question of the day. I mentioned it. What team do you think will surprise the most this season? Three different answers here. Mike, you went with a team. Mine is disgusting. I mean, my real answer. I was shocked to see yours. My real answer is Jason's answer, but I have gone on and on about them. So I'll let someone else talk about it. But you want me to go first? Well, now you teed up Jason. So let Jason give the team that you apparently had in first place but couldn't claim quick enough. Yeah, I mean, I do think when I was looking at teams that I liked to have a bounce back, to have a surprise, I was between two.
One was the Raiders, who I think they're going to be better than we expect, but they're in such a tough division. It's going to be really difficult for them to actually surprise and, oh man, they're going to the playoffs. And the other was the New Orleans Saints. And they are in the perfect division where all four teams could win that division. That's part of it. The other part is Tyler Shuck. I mean, if you don't remember how last year went, let me read you how last year went for the Saints. They had a snake man named Spencer Rattler. And it went loss, loss, loss, loss, win, loss, loss, loss.
Then they made a change at quarterback and went five and four the rest of the way with Tyler Shuck. He's able to lead this team. I think they added great pieces in the draft. We talked about Kellen Moore and his pace of play and how that works for the offense. And from a fantasy perspective, I do think that the offensive speed with, you know, assuming Tyson ever gets his hamstring tied on or whatever they need to do there. I think the Saints are going to be a good team. And so a lot of times, I mean, this could really impact, say, Travis H.
And Jr. We want, you know, running backs who are winning more. Like last year, I believe the Saints trailed on 77% of their offensive plays. That's not running back success. And so if they flip over and you go, oh, this is a team that, hey, they won nine games. That's going to be more success for the running back. That's an interesting, I mean, the Saints are, I think, a team we're all rooting for. I would agree with that. I think that division, like, are they a good team or are they the best team in the division? I'm not sure those are the same thing.
I look at that stretch rundown at the end of the year. They beat Tampa Bay, Carolina, the Jets, Tennessee for that four-game winning streak. Carolina was the other win in that stretch. Everything else was a loss. So they're going to play those teams again. Yeah, they'll play Carolina and Tampa. And Kyle shared a graphic that just made me laugh. It was all four teams in that division, the Falcons, the Panthers, the Saints, and Tampa Bay, all with a thought bubble above their head that says, wow, this division sucks. Thank God I'm the only good team here. Because you can 100% make the argument for every team in that division.
Like, I can see Carolina. I can make that argument why they can win that division. Definitely can do it with Tampa Bay and what their personnel is. I think the hardest argument is probably Atlanta. But from a skill position standpoint, Bijan, Drake, London, if they can figure the quarterback position out. But no, I think the Saints, because of the division, because of the youth, that they added another weapon for Tyler Shuck. It's certainly a team that is primed to surprise. I think the Saints can have a one at every single position. A QB one, wide receiver, RB, and tight end one.
For fantasy purposes. Yeah. They better win. That's the path. Mike, you said you had a disgusting team. Yeah, because I want to bring them up. They just, they, they're not talked about really ever, as you will see by the ADP, but it's the Miami Dolphins. Oh. And, and it's like, I mean, the big splash, it starts at the top. Do I have another Malik brother? Well, Malik Willis is, I love him as a, as a late round pick. He, right now is quarterback 18 is what I'm seeing. So this is, that is the, that is late round quarterback. Like if you are.
You should be drafting him even if you drafted someone high. 100%. Just as a second quarterback stash him. This is, if he starts every game, there's 0% chance he finishes at 18. Correct. Right. It is. This is what, when, when the strategy really started to take off, it was, you know, and shout out to JJ Zacharyson, great friend of the show. He put his PDF out and it like, it kind of changed the landscape where it was telling people you can put together, you can piecemeal together production at the quarterback position late in your draft, especially when guys are mobile.
And now you need them to be like, they have to give you production through the air to become elite. But if they are a mobile quarterback, they're going to finish as a top 12 guy. It's just going to happen. And, and it was always, you can get these guys late because no one's really interested. People are not interested in Malik Willis the way I, I thought he would be like 13, 14. So the fact that he's going this late, it, you know, we have, uh, I haven't done enough. Well, I've tried all off. I'm here with, it's just, I think, I think the tough thing and the reason he won't rise
is because there are no weapons. Yes. So you have HN who he's going as a, as a top 10 running back right now, RB eight. After that, it's, it is pure nothing. And in fact, uh, the ADP I'm seeing right now is rookie Chris bell is the highest draft of wide receiver. Meanwhile, if you're paying attention to the beat reporters, Malik Washington is going to be the top target at the wide receiver position. At least the way that, that things are unfolding with the early camps. Normally when a team has vacated targets, they have the most vacated targets in the league.
Yeah. The fantasy community will 53% of their targets and 78% of their air yards are gone. And normally we'll pick somebody and at least one, two names get elevated for taking a shot. And right now that has happened. Not at all. I'm curious, Kyle, look this up. If you can, I'm curious what the lowest ranked number one wide receiver for a team is like ever, if they played, if they played say 16 games or 15, you know, I'm just curious. Oh, you mean end of season. End of season. I thought you were saying like who's, what team has had the lowest, like until their first
wide receiver was taken because right now they're undrafted. Yeah. They're all undrafted. But I'm wondering if, if we looked that up and assuming health, cause I'm sure there's teams where no one was really healthy and they, you know, they finished their best one and finished his water receiver 88, but I would imagine if guys are healthy, it's very difficult to have an NFL team, not in the top like 50, but we'll see. Kyle's Kyle's a robot. Well, nobody said anything nice about Miami all off season. So I'm glad that you're doing this. Greg Dulcich, I've brought him up before as a, you know, a very deep sleeper at the tight
end position, uh, who, I mean, not outrageous production towards the end of the year, but he ended with a string of success for the team. And then I wanted to bring up a name who has like, he became a curse name is Bobby Sloick, who was the OC for CJ Stroud's rookie year. And you had the breakout and that year, if you recall, you had Ben Johnson, you have Bobby Sloick there, the bell of the ball. They could go to any team they want. The two future stars. Both of them stay put or stay put. Ben Johnson has another monster year with the lions and the Texans really fall off.
Why I'm bringing that up is maybe it wasn't, maybe it wasn't Bobby Sloick who took, he took all the smoke, all the heat of the Texans offensive failures from that second year went to Bobby Sloick. But he wasn't there last year. Correct. And, and, and Stroud would look like, I mean, fantasy wise, Stroud was, uh, I got points per game. I guess he was slightly better than his sophomore year, but it was not, that wasn't the strength of the team. So I'm just bringing it up of like, well, let's go back at 4,123 out of CJ Stroud, his rookie year.
And it is just fallen. It's gotten worse, you know, as we're going. So maybe Bobby Sloick wasn't the huge problem. If Malik Willis works, he will be like, he'll be really solid for fantasy. I have no question with HN and it's like, and the money that they just spent on HN to me is, you know, you got to follow it. Okay. We got to keep him on the field. He's not a player who you can overload with carries. You can overload him with targets, but so it's just pay attention to this team. Cause there is the ADPs here are just, just ridiculous.
Chris Bell, wide receiver 92, and then just no one else. Well, the, uh, the final team, my team for the surprise of 2026, by the way, our three teams, Miami was 25th in points per game last year. Jason's, uh, New Orleans saints, 28th in points per game. Um, my team was 30th in points per game. So we're talking all three of them, bottom third offenses opportunities to fix it at the quarterback position. And on the offensive side, it's the Tennessee Titans. Um, I, I still believe in cam Lord. I certainly believe in Brian Dable. We talked about Robert Sala third leading candidate for coach of the year potential.
Sala not concerned with cam boards. There was a comical report that Sala is not concerned about the apparent report of OTA inaccurate passes. I'm like, Mike's like, you should be concerned about completing, completing passes. If not your primary concern is that your quarterback is accurate. Traditionally year two is a good bet for quarterbacks to take a step forward. Um, the last decade has seen top 10 quarterbacks average 2.6 more fancy points per game in year two. Cam Ward had a nice into the season where he reduced the turnovers was throwing some touchdowns. You have added Carnell Tate where, you know, some off season, you know, rookies have had
hype. Some haven't. Everything about Carnell Tate has been glowing. They add Wondale Robinson. Um, to me, this offense with Brian Dable is primed to have success. And, you know, it's not the same as the, you know, the saints inside of that South, but it's not, it's not a division. You couldn't see a team making a move in like Houston. Their defense is incredible. What is their offense? Indianapolis, Indianapolis, are they going to be able to do what they did last year with Daniel Jones? He's coming back from injury. Jacksonville. I think we've all, we all have high expectations, but Trevor Lawrence has disappointed us before.
So I think they have the pieces to do it. The whole, this, this one rests to me entirely on Cam Ward. Like if Cam Ward plays like he did last year, the pieces are, are not going to matter, but he does have like adding Carnell Tate and Wondale Robinson. I, I really like their option to, to take a massive step forward. They've done everything right to give Cam Ward what he needs. Now, will he be able to perform? Yeah. I'm skeptical. Yeah. And I know we're all going to be watching because this was a three and 14 team last year.
Um, but those are three teams I think we believe could have surprising years. And, and with that comes, you know, Mike brought up that nobody's being drafted in Miami. Yeah. So you don't have to do very much at all, but nobody's being drafted really other than like Carnell Tate is like a six round pick right now. You don't, nobody's drafted in the running backs in Tennessee. Wondale's a 10th round pick and that's it. I mean, Cam Ward is undrafted. So if these teams take step forwards, specifically in what I mentioned, 25th, 28th and 30th and points per game, you get to the middle of the pack, you're going to have more relevant
fantasy play. I think, I think Tony Pollard is right now. He's not a high ceiling type of player, but in certain builds, like we were talking about zero RB, um, depending on how far he's falling in a draft, you can get a starter. Who's one of the only guys who's like rushed for a thousand yards in the last handful of seasons. And if the team takes a step forward and he has more touchdown opportunities could be a value for a floor play. Absolutely. All right. We'll take a break and we'll jump into the news. See, I thought maybe they put the helmets out on the table of the surprise teams. Cause I saw Miami show up here. Okay. And I saw Vegas over there. Jason mentioned Vegas, but then I saw this team. I saw the jets up here and none of us said that. None of us said the jets. Yeah. I could, I could see it happening. I'm not pessimistic about, um, I am of course pessimistic about the jets future as a franchise the same way, just because they're a bad franchise, but I could see them surprising this year. They have so many good offensive weapons.
Yeah. Jason, that was the completion of my thought. I could see that. I, yeah. Um, you are a big Gino fan. I just want you to know that. I want you to know what you are. Okay. And you are a big Gino fan. Take it on the chin. Um, so congrats on that. We'll get you a Jersey. Texas tech quarterback, Brandon Sorsby plans to enter the NFL supplemental draft. Okay. This is a big deal. Sorsby was if he, so he's, he was embroiled in the gambling scandal that basically knocked him out of eligibility. Then he sued the school and then he dropped the lawsuit and entered the supplemental draft.
