Thank you. All you got to do is never close your mouth. Yeah. You're just going to flail your tongue in. What was the movie he was in recently? Nobody. Nobody. That was fun. Yeah. That's how he sounded in that movie, too. Ah, ah, ah, ah.

Oh, no. It was a lot lower and grumbly. Dude, I couldn't understand a single word he was saying. I needed subtitles. He's, uh, he went in a time machine. He went far into his future. We're not expecting a fourth back to the future featuring. No, we're not. Dr. Emmett Brown. NFL news to talk about, like I said, the fantasy time machine will be trying to project some players. Yeah, basically this year's version of last year's players. Is that a? Fair, terrible way to describe it. I would say, because these are not bold predictions, but they get a little dash of pepper in there. Well, yeah, when you're looking for a little spice. When you're looking for a version of someone that was an outlier last year, you're trying to project an outlier this year. And obviously, if we knew they were going to do that, they wouldn't be drafted, you know, late. Also have another new segment to debut on the show today.

But check that out, my football family.com. All right, new segment. Welcome to the fold. Presented by Samsung Galaxy. All right, this is going to be our weekly waiver segment. But for the first couple of weeks, we want to highlight undrafted gyms, players that are not being selected in your fantasy football drafts. you know, might be very valuable waiver wire additions. Players you could add now, players you could add, you know, keep your eye on heading into the year. Yeah, if you haven't drafted yet, these are players that when you're looking at that last pick, the last two picks, they're probably available and you can snag them now. And honestly, some of these players are players where if you finish your draft, go look at your roster. You might have someone you don't like as much as these guys and they're out there just waiting for you to make a little swap ski. I have.

We've done a lot of drafts in the last couple of weeks. And I have gone really running back heavy. And I like the picks on this segment today. They're all wide receivers because you can get players that may have immediate and constant value at the wide receiver position. And you can get them for free at the end of your draft. My pick was the last pick of the listener league draft yesterday for my team. Paris Campbell wide receiver for the Indianapolis Colts. It's as simple as he's the starting wide receiver for the Colts, a team that we've shown a lot of excitement about Matt Ryan coming to the roster. You know, Michael Pittman has dominated so much of the headlines. And our hearts. But Mike, but Paris Campbell, the story isn't a great story. He's been very injured. It's the awful tower. Yeah, but, you know, sometimes players.

They recover from injury. And he has a starting spot. Alec Pierce, the rookie, fewer snaps in the kind of rehearsal game that we saw from the Colts last week. So Paris Campbell is going to be a starter for a team that we believe in. Michael Pittman is not going to catch every pass. And if Campbell is healthy, he'll be valuable. And if he's not healthy, you move on. The Colts are a good team. The Colts are a good offense. And the Colts have a good quarterback. He's the wide receiver two right now for that team. And that's pretty much. established. The only thing, like I've been anti-Paris Campbell for a long time. It's worked out because he's been injured. But if he's on the field, and right now he's healthy and he's active, there's very few players in that range on the waivers that are as good or have a better opportunity. I'm going to bring up another one who's pretty similar. He's struggled with health the last couple of years, and he is on a great offense with a great quarterback.

I know you love Cortland Sutton, Mike. I do. And some people are like, well, but what about Jerry Judy? And I would say, well, what about KJ Hamler, a guy that we were just surprised to remember that he was picked within a round of Jerry Judy. And you're like, well, no, Jerry Judy was the first round. Yeah. KJ. Hamler was a second round pick. The math checks out. They used their next pick on KJ Hamler two years ago. KJ. Hamler has a top six wide receiver finish already. Jerry Judy's never done that. And here's the nice thing is I said, I mentioned this a couple weeks ago that we need to pay attention to preseason week three and see if KJ Hamler is out on the field because he's coming off of a hip injury.

and a knee injury, and he's looked good months ago. He was running and looking good. He's been participating in camp. But, you know, it's kind of like Chris Godwin. Oh, he's at camp. He's not on the POP. He's not going to start the season healthy. He's not playing in preseason games. But KJ. Hamler was on the field. He is active. He is healthy. He is ready to go. He will be in there in three wide receiver sets. And I don't think, like, I genuinely wonder if there is a better. player, including Cortland Sutton, who I love, including Jerry Jude, who's great. I don't know if there's a better player on this team to catch moon balls than a 432 K.J. Hamler. That's very short. He's not 4'0.32 inches. He ran a sub 4.4. He ran the 40 and 4.32 seconds. Look, I'm with you. I'm a big KJ. Hamler fan.

But it was hard to find the path before the Tim Patrick injury. Now you can see a way for him to be valuable, especially if Judy doesn't step up, really. Judy has a huge opportunity in front of him. And, you know, he should be able to take advantage of it. But, yeah, very excited for Hamler. And the name that I will throw out is Ron Dale Moore of the Arizona Cardinals. And I told some of these guys may have been drafted at the very end of your draft. But again, There is a strong chance that they have not, especially in home leagues, looking at the ADP of these guys. Just remember what's going on with the Arizona Cardinals. DeAndre Hopkins will be gone for at least six weeks. Yes, they brought over Hollywood Brown, but there's really not much else at the wide receiver position. AJ Green is apparently still on this team. Everyone is trying to forget that, including...

Cliff Kingsbury and Kyler Murray. Rondale Moore was a second round pick last year. He is an absolute burner. He ran a sub for three, and he had a breakout as a true freshman back in college. He has the profile that you want with the draft capital, and now a huge opportunity here. Last year at the beginning of the season, he was one of our, his targets per route run were just sensational, which is, you know, When he's running a route, how often does he actually get a target? They just didn't fully utilize him this past season. And now they don't really have a choice. They have to put him on the field. Christian Kirk is gone. Christian Kirk had 100 targets last year. And Rondale Moore right now of profiles as the wide receiver on the team to take that job. So he's very interesting. And he fits that criteria that we love of the very end of the draft, possibly on your waiver wire.

Those first couple weeks, you're going to know. Is he involved week one? Is he not? If he is, boom, that's an undrafted gem. If he's not, you just cut him for your number one waiver. We had some news. Jimmy Garapolo has agreed to rework his deal. It will keep him with the team as the backup to Trey Lance. The new deal has a base salary of $6.5 million. He is now the highest paid backup in the league. He has potential to earn up to $16 million. That quote was from Rappaport. And like, did he forget that Sam Darnold exists? Like, Sam Darnel is the backup quarterback in Carolina, or is he not? Yeah. And I believe his salary is like 18.

Maybe he was thinking of it in terms of like sign to be a backup contract. That's fine. But just like don't disrespect what Sam Donald's doing over there. Yeah, never disrespect Sam Darnell. He's making that money. So, yeah, I'm curious your reaction from a fantasy perspective. I also want to shout out a Twitter account that is delightful. I don't know if any of you guys have seen this. Is it the draw? It's Rita Oak. Yeah, Rita Oak underscore art who has drawn a picture of Jimmy G. every day. until he gets traded. It's day 209 and she'll, she's going to continue drawing Jimmy G. I assume she thought he was going to be traded within four or five days of when she spun that up. We all, yeah, we all kind of. It's a lifetime account now. So I'll jump in here. We'll start at the top. For the San Francisco 49ers, the team, this is a fantastic move. You know that you have a very capable quarterback, a quarterback that.

brought you to a Super Bowl that was very close to doing it again last year. You're just, you're moving on to Trey Lance at six and a half. I get it. You're like, always the highest paid backup in the league. Well, he's still the backup for this team. He had the offseason shoulder injury or shoulder surgery. So teams just when they needed a quarterback weren't willing to make the trade for him at the time. He has not been allowed to practice with the team while they were trying to figure everything out, which was. trying to get him a starting position that all fell through so now he is the backup what this does to tray lance there is the mental part of the game where yeah it's you were told it's your team and now there's going to be a little bit of a problem of you're looking over your shoulder like well the guy who kept me off the field last year is still here if i make too many mistakes

Do I get to keep playing? So there is definitely that aspect of it, a mental and emotional thing that I'm not taking away from sports. But for fantasy purposes, Trey Lance, the plan is Trey Lance. And the ceiling of everything that I believe in for fantasy purposes for Trey Lance, that still completely exists. There is a definitely a slightly higher risk now because you could be in week five and they're sitting at somehow, they're at one and four. and it's Tray Lance's fault. The voices are going to get really loud in the media and in the stadium of put the backup quarterback in everyone's favorite player. So that risk is there. But for fantasy, what Tray Lance could do, everything is still there and his ADP might drop now. Yeah, his ADP might drop. I don't think you should drop him at all from where you were drafting him if you believed in Tray Lance, if you wanted that, because the reality is if he was going to come out and be completely replaceable and like,

come out and crash and burn and have the backup come in and take over, then he was going to be a bad pick anyways. Right. Where you picked him, it was like, okay, well, that didn't work. This is about upside when you're taking a guy and then you'll have to stream the position. So I'm not, I'm not crazy worried about that. Acknowledging that there is the mental aspect, maybe he's in his head a little bit. I just don't think that's going to happen. They had Jimmy G away for the entirety of camp. They've come out publicly supported Trey Lance. This is Trey Lance's team. I think that it's fine. It's absolutely brilliant for the 49ers because not only do you have a good backup, but I think they're actually still working to trade him. He has a no trade clause, but that doesn't mean they can't trade him. That means he has to be involved in picking a trade partner. If they were to release him, he was going to go to a team and be set up for failure, having no training camp, no, you know, investment there. Now the team.

says, okay, we get to work out a trade for you if we can, have a great backup if we can't. And worst case scenario, we pay you this money. You are not, you know, you never play. And then we get a compensation pick the next year when you go sign a free agency. It's just brilliant to me. If there wasn't human beings involved, I would say it's brilliant. I mean, the Cleveland Browns are a better football team with Baker Mayfield starting the first 11 weeks than Jacoby Brissette. Right? Sure. Yeah. So, but you can't do that, right? Even though that's like on the roster sheet, that would be a better thing for the team. They don't do that because there's humans and emotions involved. And Jimmy G brought them to a Super Bowl, brought him to an NFC title game. I'm not, you know, that worried, but you should, you have a higher probability of replacement during the duration of the year than you had before. That's the only factor. Yeah, agreed. I mean, your point about if he's great, he's great, he wasn't going to lose his job, of course.

but you have a higher probability of him losing his job if the team were to struggle. Now, I'm not saying they will, but, you know, for the 49ers, they've had injuries at the quarterback position every single year. Yes. So I would not be surprised that they're gun shy about going into, you know, you've got a running quarterback and Trey Lance. One bad play, your season's over. Now, you know, you look at betting on the 49ers. You have a backup situation where they were already great last year. You know, you think about, you know, your season can't fall apart from a future's perspective for the 49ers either. So Kenyon Drake, signed by the Ravens, moments before the season begins. To me, this screams a little bit of uncertainty about J.K. Dobbins, because Gus Edwards is on the P.U.P. And J.K. So I think it's more Gus Edwards related.

Yeah, I mean, if you look at the comments, there's certainly no guarantee J.K. Dobbins is out there week one or with a full workload. So it's depth for a team that loves adding really, really ancient running back depth. Mike Davis was to me a guy that was a pickup. He should be rostered right now, maybe even played week one. All this does is it completely muddies the water for all the running backs involved. Mike Davis. is not going to be the standalone dude if J.K. Dobbins is out now. If J.K. Dobbins plays, there's more bodies behind him to kind of siphon things off. So I think J.K. Dobbins has, the Ravens now have more opportunity. This is good for them that they can bring J.K. Dobbins along slowly. Make sure he is worked into it and not overdoing, you know, right when he comes back from injury. But that's bad for fantasy. Makes it a tough pick for J.K. Dobbins because you don't know when you get to start him. Like we were staring him down in listener league yesterday.

I wanted some J.K. Dobbins on one of my rosters. I just don't know when I get to count on J.K. Dobbins. Yeah, you want them the second half of the year. So trade for them or do something like that a month then. The Dolphins released running back Sony Michelle. So Chase Edmonds, Rahim Mostert, they're going to get the opportunities there. Mostert looked fresh in the preseason action, which was, you know, when you think about Rahim Moser, you want to see, is the speed still there? Because he already has such. a familiarity with Mike McDaniel and a trust. You know, they brought him there specifically because of that speed. So good to, good for people that would invest in Rahim Oster. He went very, very late in our draft yesterday. And obviously Chase Edmonds has that 1A roll locked up in Miami. We'll be watching to see what the goal line looks like. Yeah. That will mean a lot. I have no idea. Between, between those two guys, I don't know that they're.

will be a specified role there. It might just be who happens to be on the field. Yeah, whoever was on there. But Sonny Michelle is not going to be the coal line back. No, he will not. Jaguars traded away second round pick, former second round pick, Leviska Chanel to the Panthers. Whatever. Yeah. Cam Acres, Darrell Henderson, both back at a full practice on Monday. That's good. That's good for having them available to play week one. I do think we will, because both guys have been banged up, Even if the Canmakers Truthers are right and it's going to be the Canemakers show on the season. I can't imagine that in week one. I think it will be a timeshare week one. And then some other roster cuts all run through real quick. Kind of a surprise. Bill's released O.J. Howard. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Was he ever mighty? Oh, my goodness. His rookie year, he was thought to be the best tight-in prospect that we'd seen in forever. You're talking about before he played. Yes. Okay. That's what I meant by Mighty. Like, has he ever been a mighty NFL player?

He's a mighty projection. What was his big injury? Achilles? I wanted to say that, but I wasn't 100% sure. Well, I mean, Butterfingers? Is that an injury? I mean, he showed some stuff, but then he got he got catastrophically hurt. Kyle, look that up. He's been hurt a few times. He was a ruptured Achilles. There you go. Dude, the Achilles injuries are. Good luck coming back, man. It's a problem. Yeah, Philip Lindsay released by the Colts wasn't really important. Josh Gordon released by the Chiefs, Kevin Coleman released by the Jets. They had a crowded running back room. Bucks released Tyler Johnson. Sorry, Dynasty Dreamers. His career will not be continuing in a way for fantasy. And then Kellyn Monde released by the Vikings. They had traded for... What? They had traded for who? I release you.

Oh, is that a James Bond thing? Yes. It sounded more like a Bain thing. I thought you were doing Bain and I could not understand why. The name was Bond. Bain Bond. Oh, so you're combining them now. Next level. That's very troubling. Nick Mullins. Nick Mullins. That's what I was thinking of. All right, quick break and then back with the fantasy time machine. You might want to do. There might be kind of just the total. Bain Bond solo act right there. That might be it. You might not want to really muddy it down with more appearance. Well, I wasn't ready to do a full announcement, but it was just like a little tease. I have a one-man show. Oh, good. In the works. Called Bain Mond. Yes. Okay. Amazing. Yeah, I. It's real niche. Oh, wait, let the chimes happen. Let them do their thing. So our first journey in the time machine this year is, well, we want to find, and who wouldn't, we want to find the 2022 version of what Cooper Cup was last year. General guidelines here, gentlemen. General, broad. Third, fourth round or later, not exactly clear who the wide receiver won on the team was. I mean, that was something where last year, it was kind of a bold prediction. to say cup over Woods. I believe Woods had the higher ADP. He did, yeah. I mean, it was, it was, because he was so safe. Back and forth. New quarterback could be another variable here. They got Matthew Stafford last year. You know, are they eating meals together? That is very important. It's, you know, very important. And then is this a team that's projected to get some wins like the Rams last year? Those are some guidelines. I guess I'll go first.

Oh, we have another new graphic. Are you kidding me? You've made the graphic over again? Unbelievable. Michael Batman. I'm in the city, boys. I'm in the city. Hey, look. All are welcome in this city. Well, Jason's not. Well, how does it? I'm already in, man. You can't get rid of me. I built a back door. Yeah, I mean, you go through the tunnels. Yeah. No, look, Michael Pittman jumped off. Yes. Off the pages. Welcome in. Fitting the mold here. You got a new quarterback in Mount Ryan, right? Um, come on. This isn't a real report. Is it, Kyle? That's real from April. Yes. From April. Matt Ryan and wide receiver Michael Pittman have been meeting daily for breakfast. Oh, man. Oh, no. And have been practicing routes and timing. Yeah. Yeah. You know, it's hard to find a wide receiver in that category where you have the ability to take that leap at that draft cost with a new situation.

Over the last decade, players who were drafted in the first two rounds of the NFL draft and entering their third year of the league, if they got 120 targets, they were on average the wide receiver 10. Yes. You know, if you bump that number to 150 targets because what if, right? Yeah. They were the average of wide receiver three overall. So it's a target math situation. Matt Ryan hyper-targeted at Hulu Jones for years. It never mattered what the defense was doing, right? You just... went to him over and over again, and he's got the physical size where doing that isn't necessarily detrimental, right? I mean, you saw Matt Ryan talking in camp. It's like, I'm just going to throw it up to you. And Matt Ryan was showing how he was showing Michael Pittman, how to body out somebody and go get the ball. If you get that big target share, you guys are going to be dead on correct with this prediction of my best friend Michael Pittman. He will fight you.

Michael Pittman is scared of nobody. Do you think that that wide receiver three number is too ambitious? Of a ceiling. Like what's the real, is that too insane, 150 targets, wide receiver three? No, I don't think it is insane. I believe that he has, in his range of outcomes, his top end range of outcomes, it would be 160 plus targets. I mean, a true. you know, target leader in the NFL. If that happens with double-digit touchdowns, I don't think that there is a limit to how high he can go. That's not what we're projecting. We love Michael Pittman. I don't think that he's going to take over and be the number one wide receiver. But that is capable in this system for his, you know, wide receiver depth chart and his talent and quarterback upgrade. Yeah, I mean, the big story for Michael Pittman is going to be.

can he get into the end zone? Yep, 100%. Six touchdowns last season despite the breakout and Mount Ryan, I mean, Julio and Matt Ryan had a connection. It wasn't in the end zone. Certainly. But Calvin Ridley did. Yeah, and you really, you're right. You're right. Calvin Ridley did. And you hope that Michael Pittman with that size becomes a primary red zone target. And honestly, I hope that the Colts defense isn't as good as it seems like it might be. I mean, that's the storyline too. If you're that, I mean, I guess the Rams defense was pretty good and Cooper Cup still did it. But I'd like them to be in some more shootouts because when they're not, the Rams couldn't hand the ball to Jonathan Taylor and the Colts can. Yeah. All right. So, you know, when I look at Cooper Cup and think, okay, what made Cooper Cup? Cooper Cup, I believe he was super talented. We had seen it on the field already previous to the breakup. People don't even remember that three years ago he was the wide receiver four. Yeah. He was a top five guy already. And then.

He got injured, dealt with, you know, working his way back, got the quarterback change, boom, bam. He was unbelievable. Well, Hollywood Brown, to me, Hollywood. We got that? We should have that drop. Come on. Somebody find it. All right. Good work, team. There is. There we go. So smooth. On time. Look. Last year through week nine, he was already the wide receiver five. We have seen flashes of brilliance from Hollywood Brown, and that included a buy week. We talk about targets being an earned statistic. You've got to be good. He had the ninth most targets in the NFL last year with 145. He gets the quarterback change, and I think more important than the quarterback change, because Lamar is a good quarterback. I think Kyler is a better passing quarterback than Lamar, but you can have that debate and say, no, no, Lamar's better, whatever. They're both great.
