2:14 ↗

We welcome you in. We hope you are enjoying your day or nights. I'm sure it's better than Gus Bradley's night. Or day. Or day or morning. There is no day for Gus Bradley. Everything is night. It's all darkness. It's all night. That is funny. You know, if the lights were out, we wouldn't have had to see the honey mustard jerseys. That would have been, they are terrible. They are bad. I couldn't watch it live.

2:44 ↗

And I'm listening on the radio. I watched it afterwards, but I was listening at first. And the announcers, both announcers, uh, were talking about how disgusting those jerseys were. Everyone on Twitter smashing them. They were like, you know, what was worse? Uh, Blake Bortles or the jerseys. Right. So then I go and I turn this game on to see these disgusting puke poop jerseys. And I kind of liked them.

3:11 ↗

I actually don't have a problem. I didn't think they were that bad. I was like, why do they ever? My problem with them is that's, that's the color. I mean, the jags have like some cool colors going on. They need to cover them in gold leaf. So you're reflective and it just flakes off during the game. It turns it just shames them by the end of the game. Yeah, well, we're going to talk a lot about this here in the quick question. So we'll get into it shortly. So much to say.

3:39 ↗

I mean, look, you're talking to the former love child of Avarian Foster and Gus Bradley, both of whom are soon to be very retired. I'm surprised you're alive. And Jeremy Macklin. There was a trifecta, and I'm, it's just not a good year for those guys. It's not a good life. It's not a good life. It's night. It's nighttime for those guys. Day, man. Oh, there it is. I knew it was coming. Welcome to the fantasy footballers podcast, Andy Mike and Jason. My voice is about the same as it was yesterday, but I got a, you know, I got a good night's sleep.

4:09 ↗

I'm here. I'm ready to go. We have a good show. We have a Foot Clan Friday on the show today. We have NFL matchups part due. Part due. So we'll go through the rest of the matchups on the show today. And we also have in and out. We'll catch you up on all the injuries, all the hard decisions that you have to make this week. And there are a lot of them. You know, the buys are here. Six teams on buy. Lots of decisions to make. And the reality of fantasy sports is it's not as easy as a start sit tool, right? Like, it's not just, you don't just plug in two guys.

4:38 ↗

I mean, it'd be nice, but that's, you know, you don't just plug two guys into a system, hit a button, and just start a guy. Because there's so many variables. There's the team you're playing. There's the other players on your roster. Do you need a boom guy? Do you need a steady guy? These are the type of decisions. You know, I was talking to somebody this morning. Tyreek Hill, really coming on in Kansas City, also returns kicks. They're in a return league. They're deciding between Tyreek Hill and Latavius Murray.

5:05 ↗

And then all of a sudden, you know, the decisions, do you need that steady guy or do you need the upside? So those type of decisions we try to help you out with every day. So we thank you for joining the show. You can find us on Twitter at theFF ballers. Find us on the web, the fantasy footballers.com and join our community at join the foot.com. Get involved with the show. We'd love to see you over there. It's always fun. You know, I think one of the best parts was the Foot Clan leagues that formed this past year. Yes. Hundreds of leagues from actually passionate.

5:33 ↗

People. Somebody sent me a trade yesterday that happened in their family league. It was, I believe, Antonio Brown and Tom Brady for, I think it was de Quiz Rogers, something like that. Some nonsense. Some nonsense that you, you know, in a family league, what are you going to do?

5:51 ↗

I mean, you're just kind of. You're going to go find a new league. Yeah, you're going to go make that trade. And you're going to win that league. All right. Quick question of the day. Major takeaways from the game last night. Oh, the garbage man can. I know we are a long ways away from our episode where we give out our footies, our footie awards. But it's going to be stuck in a lot of memories. This.

6:18 ↗

This level of garbage performance. What's the opposite of a positive regression? A regular regression. Ah, that's what Bortles is in right now. Uh-uh. He was fantastic yesterday. He finished as a, he's going to be a top five quarterback this week, isn't he? Absolutely gross. Yes, he will. People who hate Blake Bortles right now. Let's name them. Gus Bradley continue. Tennessee defense owners hate Blake Bortles right now. All people who.

6:48 ↗

had to watch the game. People with eyeballs? Yeah, people with one. Alan Robinson. Poor, poor Blake. Alan Robinson hates. You know who loves him right now? Tim Tebow's throwing coach loves him. So I told you. I told you that was the way to do it. Let's throw a. I believe Roto World said it looked like he was throwing a fully baked turkey. Like that's how you would throw. You'd sling it. That's a good writer right there. I loved it. I loved it. So, but if you started him.

7:17 ↗

you, as I tweeted, had sweet-smelling garbage all over you. So every week there are plenty, plenty of players that get a lot of their production in garbage time, and it's fine. You know, you kind of expect that. If I've got a wide receiver or a quarterback, they're down, they're getting blown out, and they haven't produced. I watched a game, and I think, okay, whatever, maybe I'll get some garbage time stuff. This was a different level of, like, it...

7:46 ↗

Like, normally it's garbage. What is, what's more, this was like vomit time. Here's, here's what this is. This is, like, sifting through dog. This, this is, this is, Blake Bortles is the equivalent of in the walking dead. When you have to smear yourself in the zombie guts and everything, you can trick people, right? You, they, they don't kill you. You can walk among them as long as you, you kind of look right. You smell right.

8:13 ↗

But things can go haywire and sideways extremely quickly. And that's what Blake Bortle is. His performance in the game yesterday had me questioning in the first half whether he was in an NFL quarterback anymore. Like whether this was going to be the beginning of the end, right? Like, I mean, the throws were so off. The reeds, the decision making. Alan Robinson, I mean, you could just see it in his shoulders. The arms slumping at the beginning of the throw because he knew there was nothing around. And he's throwing his helmet on the sideline.

8:42 ↗

You know, Robinson didn't crap your team last night because of garbage time. What were you saying about Alan Hurons? Remember the story from the beginning of the year? We had, there was a very funny story during draft time. A listener had sent in that one of their uninformed friends boldly proclaimed when it was their draft pick in the first round, Alan Hearns. And we laughed hysterically at that person's misfortune. But who's laughing now?

9:12 ↗

I thought that Alan Hurd's owner. That's who. I still think it's possible. I think Gus might get fired this week. I think, you know, the owner came out and I think he said he didn't want to make a coaching change right now, but I think it's still possible to happen this week. I hope he was twisting his mustache when he was saying that. They have a good roster. They do. And that's why I don't think it's the GM. It has to be the coach. I just, I just, I question there are certain franchises that I feel like if you get the right.

9:40 ↗

coach if you get a coach that can coach those players they're going to be a bad coach there's just nothing you can do in certain franchise situations and maybe i'm wrong maybe they they prove me wrong i agree i think they've got a very nice roster they should be able to get it done andy i think you should submit a resume uh i'll take it on we'll change the jersey situation i'll be going all black with gold highlights i like it you don't need to go gray

10:07 ↗

Yeah, that's what it is. There's got to be a nice, there's got to be a nice tone of gold. I mean, gold is a nice looking thing. Or the green, that turquoise green. Yeah, the turquoise green. That'll be hot. So many options. All right, it's Friday. You know what time it is. Put Clan Friday. All right. That's how you get happy. Every Friday, we have a giveaway for a foot clan member over at join the foot.com. Today's winner of a $50 gift card to shopballers.com is Derek Atherton.

10:43 ↗

congratulations Derek you did it you did it I mean you didn't do anything to do it but you did he did he joined the foot and he won yeah so congratulations we'll send that over to you today all right another reminder for the weekend Mike is on Periscope Sunday at 9 a.m. Pacific time regular time regular time so you know at that point you'll be what in the midst of the Washington game you'll be going on with the Washington game yes so if you have questions for Sunday you want to get those in on the Periscope

11:12 ↗

Mike will be answering them fast and furious. Let's move on. Let's talk news. News and notes from around the league. Big news. Big, big, big, big, big news. Yeah, I mean, that happened quick. CJ Anderson to the IR underwent arthroscopic surgery. Candidate to return in eight weeks, the team hopes maybe for a playoff run, but will not be a factor for the rest of the fantasy football season. So maybe you, what, you book your ticket to paradise? Booker your ticket.

11:46 ↗

Booker becomes very, very good. We see this every year.

11:49 ↗

There are a couple, this is about the time. CJ Anderson get hurt. Yeah, that makes sense. This is about the time of year where when people go down with injuries they could come back from, it's now season ending because we're halfway through the year for fantasy purposes. And those backs that were behind them that come in to take over, they end up getting a larger portion than they would have had if it was early in the year. So I think Booker becomes a rest of season top 10 running back. I mean, that's an amazing statement.

12:19 ↗

Because he wasn't. And now he is. Yep. And I agree. His next three matchups are gold. Where do you guys have him this week? Let's share the rankings here. Do you want to look that up real quick? Yeah, I believe I have him top five, which is scary for a guy that, you know, he hasn't done it. You haven't seen what he's, what his role is. I have him at age in half point. Where are we all at?

12:40 ↗

What's our consensus? Oh, I just have my personal rankings. Oh, okay, cool. No, keep it to your show, Mike. I really appreciate that. I have the best rankings. That's cool. I don't care about your rankings? All right. Booker, I know. I notice. I'll tell you right now. Booker, we have him as our consensus 10, and that's my fault. I have them at 16 right now, but that's going to change. I was just, you know, that was initial. That was before the CJ report. I haven't met four. Mike has him at eight. Hugh Jackson has confirmed Josh McCown will likely start on Sunday. Here's the reality.

13:10 ↗

I think McCown starts this week, but I don't think he keeps the job. I think it goes back to Kessler. Now, if he came out, set the world on fire, they win. Maybe this, maybe the story changes. I hope it does. Maybe. But they don't need, the reality is McCown's like 400 years old and they need to groom Kessler. And they could accidentally win with McCown. They don't want that. That's not good. That's not going to help them. Um.
