Oh, it's Friday. It is Friday, December 4th. Hey. Isn't it feel like a Hail Mary Friday? Oh. Oh, my. You'd say your Hail Marys. Oh, my. That was something. That was something. What a game. What a game. What a finish. Richard, Aaron, the Rogers combined. Rogers to Rogers.

2:21 ↗

It's unbelievable. It's a law firm. And we didn't get watered. Oh, yeah. I feel like I'm the last man standing over here with a full voice. Yeah, you guys are playing. We did play a little flag football last night. I don't know if they had anything to do with it. It was pretty cold outside. As soon as it drops below about 90 degrees, everyone gets sick.

2:46 ↗

But we're not resilient in Arizona to the cold. The fantasy footballers are never scared to double down. So we doubled down with Foot Clan Mike on a Lions versus Packers bet. Clearly it was super smart. And man, that looked so bad for so long. For literally 60 minutes, that looked like a terrible choice. Is there anybody listening that doesn't know?

3:13 ↗

what happened at the end of that game, do you think? Spoiler alert. Yeah, the Packers won the game. They were down 20 to nothing at halftime. Actually, I don't know if it was 20-0-0 at halftime, but they were down at 20-to-nothing at one point. I know they had no points at halftime. And the game was all but over. In fact, they had gotten to the point where Rogers was so far away from the end zone that he could not hail marry it. So they threw underneath and played the lateral game, which somehow the ball got thrown all the way back to Rogers, and he got face-masked.

3:42 ↗

Asterix. Which I said before the, I don't blame the refs at all for making that collic. I hit in the face. It wasn't really a grab, but whatever. Then he got one more play. The Lions put in all their shortest guys. And then Rogers threw it 61 yards in the air for the longest Hail Mary touchdown catch by Richard Rogers since night. I mean, longest one, I think completed since 1983 is what I heard. It was. And incredible.

4:10 ↗

The whole entire play, the throw was just ridiculous. I mean, first off, that you can even throw football that far to start. It's so high. And then you add in the arc of that football to come down perfectly, perfectly in the end zone, and Richard Rogers just squaring up and no one contesting the catch at all. And Aaron Rogers, on his birthday. I mean, what a birthday present.

4:36 ↗

Yeah, that was a gift. It felt like a gift to me because I'm so dry. And my favorite part of the game. My favorite part, and I do apologize to all of our lovely Lions fans out there. That was just a heartbreaking loss. I don't think they're bad. They're not bad. I agree. They've lost two ridiculous end of games. But when that, when Richard Rogers came down with that touchdown, my favorite part of the game, as we were watching going, what?

5:04 ↗

You know, we're screaming. We don't have any horses in the race other than this water bet. But then the camera immediately switches to all of the Lions fans' faces. And it's like it's video, but it's like it's a photo because nothing is moving. Everyone's face is just in utter shock. Here's the problem that I have with the Lions on towards the end of the game. You can't run the ball.

5:33 ↗

You did a little bit better this game. I think they had over 100 yards on the ground, which was much more than their season. Well, it wasn't Joyke Bell, he had five. Well, because Joyc Bell, because Joyc Bell lost about 10 yards on that final drive, where they just said, okay, we're going to run it out, we're going to try and defense. Just try and win the game. Oh, I could not disagree with you, Mark. You were completely wrong. You are wrong because they threw. They threw and got a big first down. At that point, you have to take the time off the clock. They basically won the game.

6:01 ↗

That is so ridiculous. I think that is the stupidest thing I've heard you say on the show. Because you're telling me that they had to do a 61-yard Hail Mary. They played it perfectly. They had Rogers down. They didn't even face-mask him. Now it's revisionist history. It's saying, okay, they lost on a Hail Mary, so they're stupid. And no, they lost on a Hail Mary on that play, they might have been stupid, but they weren't stupid in the way they ran it. They threw the ball on third down and got a big first down to win the game. Let me ask you this. I throw us land to Calvin Johnson.

6:30 ↗

Were they stupid... They did throw the ball. I continued to do it. No, you don't. Yes, I do. And guess what? When it's incomplete and you give Aaron Rogers a minute and a half to come down and win the game, you're an idiot then. Yeah, I agree. I think Andy's right here, but I have a question. Were they right to give it to joieck? Yes. Over, over Abdullah? Yes. Yeah, actually, I would agree. Abdullah's had fumbling problems. You can't give it to... Look, we're... Believe it or not, this is a fantasy football show, and we are missing the main point.

7:00 ↗

Shame. Shame. Eddie. Lacey. We are ringing the bell of shame for you, my friend. Three times. Take that walk. Shame. Take that long walk. So Mike, I'm going to let you speak on Eddie Lacey because you were in the Twitter sphere absorbing the massive tilt that was taking place. Yeah, so the game starts.

7:29 ↗

And it's James Starks. Well, the first thing that was strange was I was watching the pregame, and they're going through the teams, and James Starks is the starter. And I thought, well, that's kind of weird, that they're previewing him in these sweet, cool, graphic intros of James Starks as the starter. Okay, well, I expect to see Eddie Lacey. Nope, then we saw James Starks for an entire run, and then they had to punt the ball because...

7:57 ↗

James Starks is okay. Then they get the ball back, and there's still no Eddie Lacey, and no one has any idea what is going on. Nobody. Nobody had any idea. Finally, Lacey gets in, doesn't do a whole lot, and he actually kind of bobbled as he was running. He didn't fumble. And then he basically didn't see the field again, including a James Starks fumble that miraculously turned into a Green Bay touchdown.

8:26 ↗

And so at that point, you think, okay, let's get this garbage out of the way. Let's get Lacey back on the field. Nope. Nope. We're going to put an undrafted free agent rookie running back in this game that we need to win, and our offense is doing nothing. So we need a spark. We're going to go to this unproven guy instead of Eddie Lacey who's been a monster for two seasons. Now, I'm certainly happy that there's another Crockett.

8:51 ↗

In the NFL, for Jason's sake, because honestly, one wasn't enough for you. Need a lot of Betty Crockett. That being said, let me give you a little... Here's what it's like to be a Lacey owner. 5 for 10, negative 0.5 is what he scored against Carolina. 13.3, 21.6, last night, 1.1. He was... Look. And this is a play-in to win game. We're with you, Foot Clan. If that hurt...

9:20 ↗

We're with you on the complete and utter lack of knowledge. Nobody knew anything until you're halfway through the game. What did you say right before the show? So about in the third quarter or so, there was a on-field reporter, and she reports, the Eddie Lacey, not being on the field, is not injury-related. And then Nance on the broadcast, it's like, oh, it's a dog-house situation. You know, we kind of had an inkling of this yesterday in the pre-game meetings.

9:49 ↗

What? Somebody want to let us know? What? Something you could have told us 15 minutes ago! Green Bay Beat reporters! Where were you? There was nothing. There was not a single ounce that I had come across. Maybe in the dark net, there was something going on that people were spreading rumors about, but I heard literally nothing about this. And I was trying to figure out, was it because of the... Eddie Lacey kind of got benched last week because of a fumble.

10:19 ↗

And it's just, you can't, you cannot bench a guy like Eddie Lacey and then just try and throw him in here and there. That's not how it works. I mean, I have no idea what happened in the practice that put him in the situation of the doghouse. Yeah, that's all I heard last night was maybe there were some, there were practice issues. And, but you just, I feel like it's common knowledge in, of a running back like Eddie Lacey, it takes an entire game.

10:45 ↗

You let him wear the defense down, and then towards the second half is when things start opening up. For a power back, that's how it works. You can't just say, okay, here's three carries. Oh, you didn't do anything? Okay, get off the field. I'm surprised he got three carries. It seems like a game where they're saying, hey, you're sitting down because of whatever happened this week. I'm surprised I said, but you get to play a little bit.

11:09 ↗

No, that happens a lot. Guys get doghouse for the first drive or the second drive. Then they come in and they produce. Maybe he wasn't doing what they wanted to do when he did come in. And that was the reason. I don't know. I don't think you could have read into a practice squad running back signing to the main team and said Lacey was in the doghouse. But this is brutal. I mean, crapping your team. You can't start Lacey going? It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous. So can we even start Eddie Lacey? That's the quick question. Can you start Eddie Lacey rest of season?

11:39 ↗

No, not until he proves back-to-back games, which there's not enough time left for that. I mean, if he comes out next week, gets the complete lion's share, then maybe you could start. There is so much poop in those big boy pants. I don't even know what to do with it. All right, I didn't even tell everybody what we're doing on the show today. I mean, I think... Because there was too much. You probably know, but we've got the rest of the fantasy forecast. We've got some news. We'll give you our in-and-out segment basically...

12:08 ↗

catching you up on injuries, and we've got a mailbag. We're going to answer some listener questions on the show today, some of the things you're facing. I think every question we've received all week in every context has begun with the words, if I win, I'm in the playoffs. No pressure, people. Yep. No pressure. Start Eddie Lacey.

12:30 ↗

You can follow us on Twitter at the FFBallers. You can visit the website, the fantasy footballers.com and see our rankings for this week. If you have your own questions, you need a quick start answer between a couple of running backs. You can see where we have them ranked, where Jason, Mike, and myself have them individually ranked if, you know, you like one of us better. And when you see my ranking of Eddie Lacey, I had him at number three. I just meant he was going to get three yards.

12:57 ↗

Yeah, that's how our rankings work. I apologize if there was confusing. O'Neill Beckham, Jr. I have him down for one yard this week. So, okay, let's go and get into the news. News and notes from around the league. There's so much polarizing events that took place, you know, last night. So many extreme emotions, right? Between Lacey and the Hail Mary and Aaron Rogers, I mean, he was. He had a great fantasy day at the end of it.

13:26 ↗

Oh, and Jason and I are playing in that league where I need to win by like 37 to get the buy week from him. And I had Richard Rogers in my tight-in selection list. And it just... Vance McDonald! I went with Vance McDonald's, so... Very happy about that. We'll see how that goes. So, yeah, we set it. Eddie Lacey rushed five for four yards. We gave you the kind of the... We're not starting him going forward unless we have to. I mean, he has upside, but it's hidden with all that downside. All right.
