And Doug Peterson's system, if he's bringing over what Andy Reid did, they don't use a slot receiver that frequently. So Jordan Matthews simply will not be on the field with the frequency that he was last year. Over under seven touchdowns for Jordan Matthews. Under. I would take the under. Okay. First two years, eight touchdowns, a lot of garbage time touchdowns.

I was curious your guys take on that. He's had a lot of production for first two years in the NFL. I think he's good. And I think he's a good wide receiver. I think this is a bad system for him. He's going to be, he's definitely going to be the slot guy there. I just don't think the volume's going to be there for him to produce and fantasy out of the slot in this offense.

Mike made this point in studio Eric Decker since 2011, the number six in the league in total touchdowns. That just- That is B-Nanas. That highlights a consistency of being that kind of, you know, a guy that can get into the end zone. Last year he was incredible. He was somebody you could lean on the best probably wide receiver two you could have had outside of maybe, you know, no, that's probably it. When you kick in the draft value of last year. Exactly. That's what I mean. This year, it seems like people are finally going, oh, yeah, hey, Eric Decker, he's actually.

pretty good because he's going in the fifth round instead of the eighth or the ninth round uh but that like we we just highlighted in the fifth michael floyd eric decker or moncrieff uh i think that's a that's a tough situation for me to go in on decker there however if he falls to the sixth or so then i would be perfectly fine i could see myself taking decker

Even over Moncrief, who I like, depending on the situation, if I have, you know, one of those real big boom type. If I got, you know, Julio up top and I just want that plug and play wide receiver two I can count on, then I'm going Decker. I agree with Andy. He's a perfect wide receiver two. He always has been. He's not a wide receiver one in the NFL. He does not boom. But if you put him.

As the second wide receiver on the field, he's just so perfect. He knows how to get separation. He's a great red zone target. He's very consistent. He's got a huge red zone. Huge red zone. Golden Tate and Jarvis Lander will wrap up our wide receiver discussions before the mailbag here, 23 and 24 in our rankings. Golden Tate and Jarvis Landry. Now, Tate, he was a yak master two years ago, led the league in yards after the catch. He has a rapport with Stafford.

He always surprises us with his, how he looks on the field. I think he's a great wide receiver. I still like Marvin Jones to be the better draft value and actual NFL wide receiver than Golden Tate. I think he's a much better red zone guy, so that's why I like him. But Golden Tate, PPR Monster. What are your thoughts? Yeah, I can agree with the PPR Monster. And the thing about Tate is last year, don't.

Don't take his numbers from last year at face value. His average catch dropped from 13 and a half yards to nine last year. Everything was extremely bad for the Detroit lines, that first half. And if you follow his numbers and his box scores, like every Detroit line, the second half, the production went way up.

But my question for Andy then is, I mean, you have to at least on some level buying to Golden Tate if you like Staff at the way you do. Oh, I buy into Golden Tate completely. Okay. And this is just one of those T.Y. Hilton and Moncrete's situations where the price you pay for each guy, I'd rather just pay the lower price from Marvin Jones than I would for Golden Tate, but I love both players. I love the fact that Anquan Bolden is there. I think Anquan Bolden helps both of those guys. If you watch preseason game one or talked about how Bolden looks around camp, he looks like Amquan Bolden.

I mean, he is a strong, tough receiver that demands coverage in the middle of the field and will only help these guys on the outside. So to me, Golden Tate is a good value in the draft. Marvin Jones is a good value in the draft. Yeah, I agree. I think Tate's going to get 150 targets. Last year, the second half of the season, like Mike was talking about, he was the wide receiver 24. So, I mean, he was a wide receiver too, and that was with Calvin Johnson on the field.

His opportunity is there. He's always been good. And I know that there's a new offensive system, but he has a rapport built with Stafford. That's not going to go away. Golden Tate is good. I agree with you, Andy. I will end up with more stock of Marvin Jones. But I think at the end of the year, Golden Tate has more fantasy points. Jarvis Landry at number 24. The guy just is a target vacuum. He's a vacuum. He's the first second and fifth read for Ryan Tannehill on every play.

And he finds space. The real question for him is, you know, you just know he's not going to get into the end zone very often. Yeah. My favorite quote from the offseason from the Dolphins was Adam Gase was talking about Jarvis Landry about how he has just this vacuum for targets. He said he would script up plays intentionally trying to get the ball away from Jarvis Landry.

But Jarvis Landry would just get open and the ball would go to him. That's funny. So look, the production will be there for Jarvis Landry. The targets are going to be there. I think that he is a good football player. He is a great football player. He is not the ultra-dynamic athlete that we desire from our wide receivers, but he is a very good football player. I think he is over 100 receptions and over 1,000 yards again. I agree with that.

With that being said, when it comes to drafting, which is next week, my question is should I draft a stud quarterback within the first three picks? You're awesome. Here's what I would do. I would go check out. We did a live two-quarterback mock on the show, and I think we gave you a proof of life, so to speak, that you can wait on your quarterback, even your first one, and you will end up with a dominant team because your positions, your wide receivers, your running backs will be.

uh such at a higher tier than the rest of the league i'm not you can it it's perfectly fine to me if you want to jump in on the first round and and grab that quarterback okay or the first three round yeah i mean he didn't say you had to take it the first so first three rounds but it to me let's say i'm at the back of the first and there's just this huge quarterback run i'm not going to take the the lower tiered quarterback just because i feel like i i i have to we've talked

about this of, there was 40 quarterbacks last year that put up a top 12 week. There was more than 40 the previous year. So it wasn't this fluke thing from last year. These are, these are the trends of the past happy NFL that quarterbacks just produce. So personally for me, I'm still going to wait. It's not like a single quarterback league where I can wait until the 10th, the 12th round and get a quarterback, and I'm perfectly happy. But.

You know, I can wait until the fourth or fifth round and pull these middle tier guys that I love of Winston, cousins, Tyrod Taylor. These are names that guys are not going to particularly want at the top of the draft. All right. Adam in Philadelphia says, how often do you...
