Week 8 Waivers + Full Stream Ahead, Seeing Ghosts

since week four, he's the wide receiver 14. And he's been, he's done that on the back to, I mean, if it, if it wasn't for the buy week in there, he finished number 11, 24 and 16. That would be, you know, the NBA jam rules. But more importantly than that, and it's tough to recommend Devante Parker in general. Plus, he's got a tough matchup at Pittsburgh. The Steelers defense has been much, much better after those first couple games.

Ryan Fitzpatrick being the quarterback makes a huge difference because I know for a fact that Fitzpatrick can support a great fantasy outing. Now, he can implode for sure, but Josh Rosen has never done that. Never ever in his career has he supported great fantasy outputs as far as being able to have a wide receiver one on a week or, you know, go throw for 403. Fitzmagic can do that.

We would be remiss if we don't also highlight his teammate. Preston Williams. Six for 82 on eight targets. He is also interesting with as long as Ryan Fitzpatrick is there. He is interesting. Also getting a huge upgrade because of a new quarterback. It appears the Tennessee Titans, Corey Davis, who is widely available, six for 80 with a touchdown on seven targets.

A.J. Brown was also six for 64. Finally had a good amount of targets, eight targets for A.J. Brown with Ryan Tannehill as the new signal caller. And Tennessee gets to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I know the bucks are coming off of the buy week, but they have been horrific. Horrific for the past four weeks. Years?

Did you say, sorry, I was tuning out, did you say weeks or did you say years? I said weeks, but if you want to extrapolate, that's probably an okay thing to do. Yeah, I do. Yeah, it's wonderful. In fact, I would take the Tennessee duo over the Miami duo. If I'm setting my waiver wire priorities, also let's give fab percentages for those of you playing in good leagues, which is fab leagues.

Not that waiver wires can't be a good league. Sure. But it can be a brew. It can be better. Yeah. Kenny Stills is a guy that I, you know, I'd spend 15% of my fab, which is a lot for me. I don't usually spend up for wide receivers. Spend what you need to get him because I think he's, if you need a play, I think he's going to be very good. For all these other guys, I'm basically sorting my order on them and then throwing out, you know, whatever, two, three dollars of fab.

I don't think anyone is a clear-cut winner. Now, between AJ Brown and Corey Davis, teammates, both getting an upgrade because of the quarterback position, who would you rather take the shot on? I will take Corey Davis. You know, I think I will too. When I watched the game, AJ Brown is good, but I mean. Even though they both ended up.

You know, A.J. Brown ended up with one more target. It looked like Corey Davis was the first read, was the first guy who was going to through the game. And then as coverage started to shift, then A.J. Brown came on a little bit stronger. But you have to say A.J. Brown, at least, has an upside that I don't know Corey Davis has. A.J. Brown is a rookie. Looks like a tank out there. Yes. He can hit the big play for sure.

I'm just looking at snap counts where A.J. Brown is, he's been living in that 60% world. Meanwhile, Corey Davis is, you know, in the 80s. So it's just the opportunity of being on the field a little bit more. I think the average person out there might spend more on A.J. Brown than Corey Davis. Just because of the unknown, the upside of the rookie talent, the big plays they've seen this year. So Corey Davis might be the more affordable.

and better option, but I like both guys. Kiki QT from the Houston Texans, he also is a bit more interesting now with Will Fuller out. They get to take on Oakland like we talked about. Let's talk about some Patriots-wide receivers. Muhammad Sunu. He's available in almost 50% of leagues, but then Philip Dorset, Jacoby Myers, these guys are available. But are you actually interested in...

Any of these guys. I'm not really interested in any of them. I think if you have to pick one, Philip Dorset has been getting it done. He's been scoring touchdowns. So he would be the guy that I would trust the most. Like I said earlier, I'm not going to be the one pre-grabbing Muhammad Sanoo, which someone will probably grab him. And he's probably been owned more than half of leagues he is owned right now. And he's not going to be dropped because he goes to the Patriots.

But I'm going to wait until after he shows that he's an active part of this offense. They did give up a second for him. But the way that the Patriots see their future always includes their Super Bowl run, which doesn't count for us in fantasy. So I don't think they're trying to rush him out. They're not in a need. They're undefeated. You know, this is, this is just a depth piece. The Green Bay wide receivers. Nope. Let's skip them. Okay. I don't want to, I don't want to talk about it.

He had two receptions. And it was late. It was much later in the game. He was being completely shut out. He was not on the field very much. But two receptions, 133 yards. And it wasn't even a bomb. It was just like, tackle him. Tackle him for a 10-yard reception. No, oh, it gets a 70-yard touchdown and ruins my...

My life and my heart. I like how upset you still are at MVS when it was completely a self-inflicted wound by you. Yes, that's why I'm upset because I'm not upset at MBS. And then you won. Meanwhile, I'm over here with the worst beat of the week and you're still me, me, me. You're handling it like a man. I'm hitting like a baby.

I was not last night. I was in a bad way, man. I was about to burn it down. I had so much empathy for you on Slack. I didn't know what to say, but I was with you because the night before, I was, when none of the Eagles were getting it done, I was, you know, to steal your phrase, I was in a bad way. Literally just, my downstairs, I was just walking around. Just walking through the kitchen. I would sit down, put my hands in my face, get up, walk around some more. It was, I don't even know what to do with myself right now. Okay. So to get back to the Green Bay Packers where I made the mistake, it cut MVS, and then he goes off for two for 133 and one on only three targets. Are you interested? Aaron Rogers looks back, baby, or looks at least.

I would rather grab these other guys we were talking about over. Even though the matchup at Kansas City, the beatable defense. Now, what's funny is the matchup against Kansas City, it seems so great. Their defense has been bad. I mean, they stepped it up last week. But even prior, you take last week out, they've been bad. They've actually been top 10 against wide receivers, which just seems so surprising. It's not the narrative that you would expect. It's not.

how it feels, but statistically, they've been top 10 against wide receivers. So Geronimo, Marquis Valde Scanling, you know, it's, it's, I don't really want to trust either of these guys. Factored into that for me as well is, is this the week that Adams comes back? He's been out since week four. Is that enough time for him to recover enough to play from the turf toe? I say yes. Get back out there, Adams. I need you.

He's literally like my most, my most own player through all my core leagues. It's been killing me. You know, based on what we've seen so far, practice-wise, reports-wise, comments from him, I still don't expect him back this week. But timeline-wise, it should be in the realm of possibility that he plays. Let's look a little bit deeper here, guys that if you're in a very active league, they may still be available.

Darius Slaten from the Giants. He's on the field. The whole game only had two targets, taken on Detroit, but tied for the fifth most wide receiver routes run in week seven. He is somewhat interesting. Zach Pascal, the breakout star from last week for the Colts, who went six for 106 and two on seven targets. Yeah. I'm not totally digging either of those guys. I would take Slayton over Pascal, despite the fact that Pascal had the breakout.

And Slighton did very little. But the name that... I was saying, how about these guys then? From the Cincinnati Bengals, Auden Tate just keeps getting it done. Auden Tate feels like you have waiver wire fatigue from talking about him. I don't understand how we can bring him up every week and then every week he's still 38%. Oh, nobody wants him. Nobody wants to play him. I mean, the guy's been pretty good.

He didn't play much in week one. He got the start in week two. From that point on, he's on pace for a thousand yards. I mean, he's been consistent. His one poor game, he actually caught a touchdown, so it wasn't that bad. No, this is Andy Dalton and the Bengals, and so you're not, I mean, maybe that's it. You want more of an upside, right? Obviously, we would rather have Kenny Stills and some of these other names. But Auden Tate, I think, has a much higher floor.

than a lot of these guys. I mean, if we're talking Darius Slayton, or even if you talk about MBS and Geronimo Allison, we've seen those guys just completely not show up, whereas Audentate every week has been steady. 50, 60, 70 yards or a touchdown. Yeah, Auditate's very interesting. Alex Erickson, any interest in him, the teammate of Audentate, eight for 137 on 14 targets. You buying into that at all?

I'm not buying into it. I mean, he's played the entire season. And prior to that, his weekly high was six targets. You know, people have outlier games. This was one for him. And Alex Erickson is usually the type of player. Obviously, it wasn't so much last game. But he's usually the type of player that's getting like a five-yard reception. You know, he's like the Ryan Switzer. Right. Let's talk about running backs. Oh, if Ryan, Ryan Switzer, you know, he's really neutral.

Yeah. No, I know. Yeah, he's Ryan Switzerland. Yeah. Are you pre-calling your shot? No, I just did it. I'm just saying Ryan Switzer, we're never going to be able to really get behind Ryan Switzer because he's irrelevant. But he's still Ryan Switzerland to me now. You heard it here first, folks, coined on the fantasy footballers on this Tuesday show. Congratulations. I mean.

Is no Kenny Bill. Oh, you want to talk about this guy? Oh, Kenny Bills. Oh, hold on. All right. Let's go to the most important position in fantasy football. And honestly, I would have started with this position, but I wanted to talk about Kenny Bills. Yeah, that's fair. Well, money, money, money, Latavius money. Oh. That one is not sticking. Latvius Murray. He's owned in your league, but sometimes just got to do a little peak because they're taking on Arizona.

We're not sure about Alvin Kamara's status. The main waiver wire running back pickup of the week, somehow it's still Chase Edmins. He's 48% owned. He went full hamburger this past week. It's not a pickup for our audience. Look, well, maybe you're new. Maybe you, you know, you've been playing well. You're in the playoff hunt. Pick up Chase Edmonds for weeks. He is a must. It doesn't matter if you have David Johnson. He's a guy that... Are you burning your number one waiver priority for Chase Edmonds? Yes. Okay. Yes. Look, what is today? Tuesday, today the Cardinals are bringing in Jay Ajay and Spencer Ware. And I heard Benny Cunningham was also added to that list. Sure. Just bring them all in. You don't work out these running backs unless you're worried about the depth.

and you're not worried about the depth if you've got two healthy starters in David Johnson and Chase Edmonds, and you don't. So, yeah, Chase Edmonds is a must own guy. The matchups suck for Chase Edmonds coming up, takes on the Saints and the San Francisco 49ers, but the Arizona offense will produce enough that Chase Edmonds will be a great play. Yeah, yeah. You know, this isn't chasing last week's three touchdown.

you know, game. We're not chasing the points here because we've seen this coming for a while. And yeah, I mean, his upside is certainly not going to be another 126 at 3 against the Saints, but he's a guy that has to be rostered and somehow he's still available in 52% of leagues. And you don't need another trolling from the Arizona Cardinals Twitter account where they said, you should have started Chase Edmonds in fantasy.
