year long. There is no offseason with the fantasy footballers. Head on over to join the foot.com, our fantasy football community, and stay connected with the show all year long. The fantasy footballers podcast with your host, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright. Oh, it's going to be a long Tuesday, December 29th. You look like Dr. Claw, petting the cat.

2:17 ↗

Except it's a trophy. It'll be a long Tuesday. I was going to say, this is trouble. Congratulations, Jason. Man, I'm having a difficult time. Yeah, welcome to the show. Jason has won the championship of our league of record, a long-running league. I'm taking this guy to Disneyland. And that's actually not a joke. I'm going next week to Disneyland. I'm taking him with me. Going to get a lot of pictures and post it to...

2:45 ↗

Everyone in the most mocking manner. Jason's championship is sweet relief to all of us who had to endure him over the last week of anxiety, as well as proof that men with poor grasps of the English language can indeed win fantasy championships. I am here for all of the regular people. Well, congratulations. You have done it. The world is right again, as you said, and you have...

3:10 ↗

come wearing, for those listening, they don't know that you are wearing a robe of royalty. Yeah, it's my king of the castle robe. Which somehow you own. Yeah, well, you know, I've got a great wife and she sewed me a robe that says king of the castle on the back. This old thing? I've had this for years.

3:30 ↗

Oh. It's winter. What? You guys don't have your winter king of the castle road? You look like a combination of Game of Thrones and Santa Claus. I can't stop thinking of the king from Mr. Rogers neighborhood. There you go. Now you have to go to YouTube and subscribe so you can see the glory. He wasn't the king, but I'm trying to think of a character from the show. Well, you'll have to look it up. I mean, we're going way back.

3:59 ↗

That's when I won my first title back when I was watching Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood. Eight years old. Welcome to the show. We will endure Jason's championship fervor, excitement, joy, pride, all of those things. We have news and knows to catch you up on. We got Week 17 talk for you, WaverWire Talk, if you're still playing. Some championships are not done, and we're still here to help. We're here for you, and we're also here for, so for some of you,

4:29 ↗

Today is the first day of preseason football. And that's the season that we're entering is preseason for getting ready for 2016 championships. It happens now. Everyone else, we're going to get you won this week. If you need an example of what that's like, like Dallas. Like Dallas has been in preseason. Right. Looking ahead. For a decent amount of time. So we're a lot like them. What else do we got going on? If you've won your title, this is your first day of your reign.

4:57 ↗

Okay. And we'd love to see a picture of you holding your trophy or showing incredible joy proportional to winning a fantasy football title. And if you do want to share those with us, there's a lot of ways to do it. We've been getting emails and we've been getting notes through the submit a question form on the site. But the best way for us to see them and respond to them is on Twitter and use the hashtag foot clan title. I hashtag foot clan title last night as an example.

5:25 ↗

There you go. Congratulations. Thank you. And so we got a good show. We got some streaming quarterback options for you today. We'll certainly reflect on this past week and this season. And if you want to follow us on Twitter, we are on Twitter at the FF Ballers. We're on the Fantasy Sports Network. We're on YouTube. You can subscribe on there and get all of our off-season content. And I'm not going to tease it like I did yesterday. Oh, no. Which really wasn't to tease as much as a warning.

5:54 ↗

And if you heard the show yesterday, you know what I'm talking about. We are on, as Mike said in the beginning, we're on Patreon. Jointhefoot.com is how you can support the show. We're an independent podcast. We're on Facebook. On iTunes, thank you for all the great reviews on there. We like to read those once a week just to say thank you. And so I think we are going to do that right now. Are we skipping the quick portion of the show? Well, we do have a congratulations.

6:24 ↗

To straight out of Gronkton, the winners of the Listener League, the Foot Clan Listener League. Yes, Mike, if you see the trophy right there, we'll be sending that out. We've got to get an address for Mr. What, the Shepers? Yeah, it was... Took care of business? Yeah, they did. Yeah, Gronk. Gronk took care of business. Okay. All right, and then we have, we also want to do a quick shout out to Caitlin Dalton, a friend of the show, going through some hard things. A big...

6:51 ↗

Big shout out to Caitlin Dalton. We love you. Winning that title. Winning that title. Exactly. Congratulations. One of many Foot Clan members who have brought it home this year and made us proud. Let's move on. Review Osoris Rex. This one comes in from, your boy, Jay-Z. It could have been said the way. That's what it says. This podcast is better. Your boy, Jay-Z. Than Star Wars. Whoa. Whoa, listener.

7:23 ↗

Slow your horses down. This is what he said. He or she says. Well, I guess it's he, right? This is Jay Z. Just let him go. After years of finishing second or third, I took my championship because of this podcast. This podcast is like week 15, David Johnson. While all the other ones I've tried are like Devante Adams' hands. He stinks. Really bad. I've been with standing victories all year after starting one and four.

7:50 ↗

I found this podcast and finished 10 and 4 and won the championship on the shoulders of David Johnson, Blake Bortles, and DeAngelo Williams. The Wheel of Water App is great, and I got my friends wet with bets like David Johnson versus Adrian Peterson and Jordan Reed versus Grong. Thanks for the great work, and I can't wait to keep listening through the off season. Well, Jay-Z, I'm happy we could finally help you out. There we go. Thank you very much for that. Young Hova himself.

8:19 ↗

I mean, that's... Very kind. Send some of that case this way, Jay. You want a piece of the nets? Yes. Send over a piece of the nets. Like, flame? No, no, no, I would rather just have ownership, you know, some stock. Very complicated world we live in. All right. News and notes from around the league. Doesn't it just kind of feel like the regular season's coming to an end?

8:51 ↗

Yeah, we're getting there. It's running down. We've got one week left for a lot of people. Lots of news. The big news this week is we want to know who's playing. We want to know who's playing and who's sitting and having to manage that. And hopefully your opponent has a lot of people who are sitting. And hopefully you've got some people that are playing. Bruce Arian said, hey, don't worry about the Cardinals. We're playing everybody.

9:14 ↗

We're going all out to beat the Seahawks in Week 17. I don't have his quote in front of me, but it was something to the extent of, I don't think it benefits anything to sit anybody. So. Yeah, and that's his way. He's always been aggressive. What's his quote? No risk it, no biscuit. There you go. So, and I love biscuits. Expect your Cardinals to play. Dan Campbell said Ryan Tannahills day to day should be ready to go in Week 17 if you're one of those.

9:41 ↗

family members of his that count on him in fantasy football. Or a wife of a cornerback from the Miami Dolan song. Ridiculous news, man. If you didn't see that, Brent Grimes' wife came out and just bashed Tannenhill. She's not too pleased with the play of Wright-Taniel. Oh, we don't need to get into that. Really nobody is pleased with Ryan Tanyl right now. Especially you. You were one of the people that thought he would continue the career art. His career art had been better, better, better, better, better every year.

10:09 ↗

Until this year. He bell curved already. Yeah, he's done. Panthers coach, Ron Rivera, said Jonathan Stewart might be ready to play in week 17 against the bucks. It's interesting because they actually have something to play for now. You know, if they had locked up the first seat, you would probably not see him. Correct. Now we have to pay attention to it, monitor it and see what happens. I believe, and I said this after the show yesterday, I believe the biggest impact to their game.

10:37 ↗

this past week was not having Jonathan Stewart. You know, the zone reads don't work when, one, you're not confident enough to call them because you're worried about fumbles or whatever takes place with an inexperienced running back. And, you know, two, if you don't have an effective running game, and they don't respect Cameronor's pain the way they do Jonathan Stewart. Fuzzy Whitaker is now out with an injury. And so I think them getting Stewart back is key to their offense, and so we'll see what happens. It probably has an impact on Cam Newton in week 17 as well. And the Cameronar's pain here,

11:07 ↗

could get a big bump with, like you mentioned, Fossey Whitaker, a high ankle sprain. So he's likely out. I personally don't expect to see Jonathan Stewart this weekend. And they play Tampa. Who's left? Who's left? I mean, Tolbert and Artis Payne. Yep. For those with Dynasty League thoughts about Calvin Johnson considerations.

11:32 ↗

There are opinions around Detroit that he will stay with the Lions next season. We know the cap number is going to be big, but we've seen this with Larry Fitzgerald. Yeah, but if he's willing to take less money to be there, to stay there, to be part of that community. There are a lot of reasons to stay. So we'll see what happens with Calvin. He's definitely going to have to take a lower contract. His cap number is over 20. It's way too large. I'll say this. The fantasy owner wants him to stay in Detroit.

12:03 ↗

That's the truth. Yeah, because if he goes someplace else, he's not going to be as effective. He's not going to be as good. We've seen this too many times with receivers at this age. You don't want him to Andre Johnson? Or Greg Jennings or, you know, anybody that you just go and get into a new system, new quarterback, and he's got this rapport. They have the goal line plays. I think the fantasy owner probably wants him to stay in Detroit. I would agree. But he's got to be healthy.

12:28 ↗

Let's see here. We talked about if Faisy Whitaker, high ankle sprain should be out. Jay Glazer is saying Brock Eyes Osweiler will start the rest of the season. It's been a rough second half for Peyton Manning. You have had injuries, the lack of performance on the field, the team fighting to make the playoffs. Then this oddball report comes out about H.D.H. Assuming he's telling the truth about that, he's okay. But if he's not, even a worse ending to this career. Well, I mean, that's not really our...

12:57 ↗

Our forte is to get into that kind of stuff. Al Jazeera is not on our... But, I mean, apparently, allegedly, the source has already recanted the story of some... It's a mess. It's a mess. And there's probably a lawsuit coming for somebody. Yeah. It's possible. Also possible recantation was very expensive. You know, you never know what's going on around there. Yeah. Yeah. That's true.

13:24 ↗

All right, we've said it before, but we'll reiterate it today when we're thinking about week 17. Jay Gruden said he needs to be smart about resting his players in week 17, which means we don't expect to see any of the Redskins playing. Means they're forfeiting. Yeah, no one's going to play the game. We don't have enough players. Sorry, guys. You got to go home. I didn't see this report, but Drew Brees said he does not see a scenario in which he and Peyton are not on the Saints next year.
