I love it. Those have been, dare I say, very good to us lately. That's my job. They've been pretty good. Yeah, they've been pretty good. I really, really enjoy doing right by the people. Because when I hear that, you know, one of your picks, you know, Jason wins a guy a week, makes me happy. That's why we're here. That's why we're here. And actually, my quick question for the day has to do with some of those teams that are doing really, really well. So we'll get to that.

What are you expecting out of that game? A lot of defense. Yeah. I'm expecting a low-scoring game, which

It's Thursday night, and weird things do happen on Thursday night. I'm going to go against the grain. I don't think that's the case. I have not been impressed. Even at home with the Jets' defense over the last two weeks, Cromarty will be out. That might be a help to them. I don't know, based on how it's playing. All that being said, I think it'll be a, you know, it'll be a pretty competitive game. I agree that their secondary is very banged up right now, the Jets. And so you can pass on them.

Sammy Watkins, though, you know, when you've got that one big tool on the offense and then you've got the one big tool, Dorel Revis, on the defense, if that gets mitigated and you can't find another weapon, it could be low scoring. But it's like Mike said, Thursday night games, man, you just never know what you're going to get in those Thursdays. I agree, I agree. So one thing I wanted to let people know is, you know, we're trying to.

Make this show better every single day. So one thing we did this past week is we sent out a little listener survey to you guys. And we really appreciate the huge responses. Yeah. Thank you. A survey kind of asking some questions. What show do you love every week? What show do you like the least? You know, what are some things that you think you'd like to hear more about and vice versa? So one thing that we learned from that survey is that you guys want a little bit more on the Wednesday show.

Not just mailbag. And so we're going to be working to get that show going with some other segments. We'll still have our mailbag. We'll still be answering the listener questions. Some really fun segments. I'm looking forward to Wednesday's show already. Yeah. And it's a week away. It is a week away. So anyway, thank you very much for your feedback and all the information on there. And we're going to continue to make the show better. We want to be providing the very best fantasy content and not stopping, not settling into...

a routine, but just making it better and better. So that's kind of our goal. So quick question for the day, guys. What is your fantasy football philosophy on making trades at the trade deadline when your team is doing very well? Nine and O, eight and one. You're cruising, but you're hearing us talk about playoff matchups or players that, you know, we don't love what they're doing in weeks 14, 15, 16. So how do you approach that?

At this point of the season, let's say I'm 9-0-8-1, like you said, this is when I'm okay starting to kind of unload some of my depth. I know that I can absorb a loss or two if things don't bounce right because I still have a bi-week situation. I'd never want to lose. But I'm willing to start really doing those two-for-ones. We talk about two-for-ones a lot because that's great. I always feel like I win when I do those.

I want the best optimal starting lineup I can get if I can trade a good player and a good bench player and I can get a superstar for my starting lineup. I'm going to do it. I'm going to start preparing my team to have a positional advantage in every slot so that my decisions are very easy. Come to playoffs, I don't have this. Oh, crap. I have five guys. I need to pick the right too because you're not going to get it right.

This is science. Science backs that up. It's hard. It's hard to get it right to make the right pick every single time. Those are the hardest questions for us when the listeners send them in. It's, okay, I've got these five great players. Which two do I start? I just, I start focusing on that, the starting. So you're willing to rock the boat? Yes. Okay. Jason, what is your thought? My thought would be, this is the time when I really start looking at the playoff schedule. I know I'm in the playoffs.

I know I'm going to be there, you know, what weeks are my league's playoffs? Generally, you know, you're talking about 14, 15, 16, and I start looking at the guys that have really good matchups. Or on my team, I go, man, he's got an atrocious matchup. And so I'm not ever going to trade, you know, a better guy for a worse guy based on, oh, he's got a better matchup. But if I find that I've got a guy on my team,

who's just got terrible matchups, and there's a guy I like just as much who's got really good matchups, I might sweeten a pot to go get him and really plan for those weeks and make sure that I'm going to make him through those. And for guys like that, I'm not counting, I do that as well, but I do not count elite players. There's a lot of buds, Julio Jones, gets Josh Norman twice. I'm glad you're bringing that up. I don't care.

He's Julio Jones. I do not care. I'm not trading him for AJ Green or some. AJ Green is also elite, but Julio Jones is the best receiver in fantasy football right now until Big Ben comes back. But no, I'm not scared of that. I'm letting it ride. Don't care. That was going to be my follow-up question because I got a lot of them yesterday. All right, we don't, you know, Julio's got Carolina twice. What do you do? You play Julio Jones. He's Julio Jones. And some of the trades were things like, you know, do I get?

uh, Brandon Cooks and blah, you know, I was like, no, because if Brandon Cooks takes advantage of a matchup, maybe he ends up like Julio Jones. The, the way you can beat Josh Norman is up top. Yeah, we saw that. Josh Norman is six foot. Julio was six three. I'm, I'm, I'm, I think Julio will be fine. Yeah. And, uh, if we've seen anything from Carolina lately, just to give you some encouragement, Carolina has been giving up points later in games. And,

I have a feeling they'll be winning those. So, all right, let's go ahead and get into the news and notes. News and notes from around the league. All right, guys, we've got a lot. Yes. I'm going to take a deep breath. You ready for these? Now, one thing we didn't get to, we recorded the mailbag show, the Wednesday mailbag show, before the news broke, about Andrew Luck, the season that continues to disappoint us. So what is the story?

Andrew Luck, you probably have already heard, but lacerated kidney expected to miss at least a month. Man, Andrew Luck, this is a tough season. It's a tough season for it. I think it's going to be important how these next few weeks go for the Colts. You know, if the next few weeks you're losing games and all of a sudden you're out of the running, are you really going to bring Andrew Luck back for those last few? Chuck Pagano is going to bring Andrew Lug back. Yeah, I don't. I actually don't even.

Hey. That doesn't resonate with me at all. The division is terrible. There's no possible outcome. I honestly think if they lost. So you're saying if they go 0 in four these next four weeks. If they went 0 in six, I think they'd still probably be a game or two out. I mean, I think there's like no way. I'm not joking. Have you seen? Okay, who are we competing with? Brian Hoyer. Houston? Jacksonville? Tennessee? Yeah.

Mr. Beebe, Blake Portles bringing them. There's no way they're not a game or two out. That's the worst case scenario. And probably if they're playing any of those three teams, they'll probably win. So I think he'll be back. The Rams signed Wes Welker. Don't do you. That is all we will say about that. Move on. A few guys not practicing on Wednesday. Latavius Murray, DeAngelo Williams, Emmanuel Sanders. Do you guys have concerns about those guys? I...

Not huge concern, very low level, but Daniela Williams, foot swelling. Doesn't sound good, but monitor him. Really good matchup. Oh, man. The best, is the best matchup. Yeah, very good. DeMarco Murray showed up on the injury report with a groin injury, but is practicing in full. Yep, no concern. Nat Forte, limited in practice Wednesday. Here's the thing that sticks out. Uh-oh. John Fox.

Up to his foxy tricks. Yes. He's your favorite, too. It's cool to see. Do you have a John Fox fathead up in your room? I don't have one. What he's saying, punt? I don't have one. I have two. I have two John Fox fatheads. One of them is talking to reporters and denying any injuries to his players. So he's day-to-day. I don't expect him to play. Okay. John Fox, right?

Vincent Jackson remains sidelined at Buck's practice. Do we expect Vincent Jackson? No. They said when he got injured he would probably miss a couple weeks and it looks like he will. Did you say that you expect walk-ins tonight? Because I do. I do. I do as well. All right. Nick Mangold has been cleared for Thursday's game against the bills. So in your center only league? No. We say that because it impacts Chris Ivory quite a bit to have the best or one of the best centers in the game active. It looks like he'll at least give it a go tonight.

So for an owner like me of Chris Ivory, I kind of go, okay, that's good. Well, I'm kind of getting worn out, worn out with him. But Ballal Powell will not be back this week. He's doubtful. So I think he'll get another 10 days off. LaShawn McCoy is probable for tonight's game against the Jets. Mike, you're rolling him out there? I am. All right. I am. And if everyone wants to hear my decision, it's LaShawn McCoy.

And so I have a couple other players, but Jeremy Hill is one of them. So as of now, I'm playing McCoy overhill. Yes, that is helpful. Coach Jim Caldwell said Amir Abdullah is not in the doghouse. Does this mean he will get to play football this year? He's going to keep returning kicks. Yeah, yeah, I agree with you. All right, hey, Jason, I want to get your opinion on this and yours, Mike, but I'm going to point it to Jason right now. Mike McCarthy out of Green Bay said James Stark's quote is our number one back right now.

Heading into week 10, it is nice to get a declaration, isn't it? It is very nice to get a declaration. He's not going to be a bell cow there. If Eddie Lacey is in the game, it's going to be a split. But what we're going to see is we're going to see James Starks getting the first opportunity, the more opportunity. And the truth is he has been very much outplaying Eddie Lacey. So when they both get the ball, James Starks is playing better. And James Starks is going to get the ball first. So it's going to be better for Green Bay's offense.
