Mike Wright, Jason Moore, Andy Holloway, and the Ducers. Back for another spectacular episode. Friday, September 16th, more matchups. Week two of the fantasy football and NFL season is at hand. We have one game in the books. We will be talking about it. It was a fun one.

It wasn't the high-scoring affair that I hoped for. It was sketchy. The pass rushes for both teams caused significant issues for those big, big plays down the field. I really don't like when great offenses have great defenses. Let's get that out of here, okay? I want, you know, all these pass rushers come into the AFC West. That's nonsense. Okay, there's great quarterbacks there. Let's protect them. That's a good word. Mr. Moore. Thank you. I mean, we still hit 50 plus points, right? I don't know. Yeah, 24 to 27. Okay. Well, that did. Does the math check out? Math checks out. It kind of got there in the end. And this is the week of, dare I say, market correction for a lot of fantasy football players in both directions. Players that had big weak ones are going to come down to Earth. Players that were invisible, Mike Williams, are going to.

Show what they have and why they were paid and why they do what they do. Mike Williams with the big game. Big half. It was good to see. It was great to see. So thankfully, it seems that Justin Herbert avoided serious injury. That was frightening for a lot of fantasy players. If you have Keenan or Mike Williams or Austin Echler or obviously Herbert himself, if he went down to major injury, that would be a problem. Yeah, I think we're awaiting more information. The x-rays were negative, so he does not have broken ribs, but obviously he was hurt. I mean, there was the play where, you know, it was like third and two, and he could just walk to the first down and he's like, I can't do this. Yeah, he couldn't, and it could barely throw the ball away and looked like a completely broken man. And we're all in our slack. Take the guy out of, if you can't pick that up.

You're hurting your team. You need to get him out. And, of course, the next play. The dot to DeAndre Carter. Rips a dart down the field. You're like, oh, well, I guess he should be in. It was like he was so conflicting. 50 yards down the field and handed him the ball. It was the most perfectly thrown. And then a fourth down touchdown to completely change the betting lines in that game to Joshua Palmer. Yeah, which all the Joshua Palmer truthers. They sigh of relief because they snuck in. Did not have a good game and then had a good game. It was fine. Yeah. So. And then, well, if we're still, we're already in the game. We can just stay in the game. That's fine. All right. Austin Echler. How you? Yeah. Okay. Jason has pushed the microphone away from his face. We were talking about him earlier in the week. And it was like Austin Echler versus Sequin Barkley. And we talked about, well.

Echler now has two other guys getting on the field. And they didn't get a ton of work. Joshua Kelly had four carries. Sony had four carries, except the goal line carries went to Sony Michelle. And Sony Michelle had one where the first effort to break a tackle was extremely nice. And then it was some of the laziest goal line running I had ever seen. It looked like he would for sure have. an incredible play, break a tackle, and just walk right in. And then the defense smothers him, and he goes down. And if I'm a coach, you're out. You're not going back into this game. You're not getting another goal on carry. But that's not how they did it. And they went right back to him. The most upsetting moment of this, and I drafted Austin. For the record, I did offer the trade before this game for Barclay. I went through with it.

And it was not taken. I told you it will get turned down. So, but Sony Michelle, they got down to, I think this was the first time they got to the goal line. And Sony Michelle was in. And I was like, what? And then thank goodness, it was the end of the quarter. So I'm like, okay, they can make the personnel change. And, you know, they got to walk to the other side of the field. So get Echler in there. And then they walk all the way down to the other side of the field. And it is the new next quarter starts. And Sony Michelle.

What? Well, Austin Neckler had 20 red zone touchdowns last year. So if you go through two games and he doesn't score and he doesn't get red zone opportunities, there's going to be panic in the streets. Now, we had 10 targets. He was the leading receiver. He, yes. And I mean, it was not great until there was some garbage time there. Well, not garbage time. But you know, it was the two-minute drill. And the defense was saying, okay, go ahead, throw it to Austin Eckler. We don't care. And so at least two of his receptions and like 30 yards came on that final drive. But you get that with Eckler. Yeah, yeah, of course. Of course. 14 carries to four for each of the other guys. You do. But this was also without Keenan Allen, who probably would have been really involved in that stretch. And it was also when.

Herbert was injured and those dump off seemed a lot easier for him than to rifle something down the field. The big question for me for Austin Echler that everyone I'm sure is wondering is can he still be the top three guy, the top five guy if he's not getting goal line work? And to me it's no. And I'm adjusting where I'm thinking about Austin Echler. He's still fantastic. He's still a running back one. But for him to be. thought of as in the elite for fantasy football, I don't think that's going to happen this year. Unless the coaches saw the Sony Michelle efforts this week and make a complete adjustment next week. I do think this team is well coached, and I think that they are Super Bowl contenders, and they do not want to overuse Austin Eccler.

They are clearly aware that Sony Michelle is not as good as Austin Ackler. But at the same time, they want to keep him healthy for the season. They want to have this guy when it matters even more later. So I think what we've seen is what's going to stick. Mike Williams was 8 for 113 and a touchdown. If you started Gerald Everett, you were very happy. He once again looked very good. 10 targets, 6 for 71. Until the interception. He was, oh, you're saying because he was tired. Yeah. If he didn't see the play, Gerald Everett had a monster catch, just dragging people, unfortunately did not get into the end zone. Then looks immediately to the sideline and says, please take me out of the game. And they're like, no, no, go, go, go. And Herbert's like, the ball's coming to you. And the guy couldn't move. And then there was a pick six that ended the game for them. All right. Another good game for Everett, though.

Yeah, I mean, it was great to see him involved. I think he was the main beneficiary of not having Keenan Allen. So we'll see if Keenan Allen gets back next week. But regardless of, you know, Keenan Allen is there or is not there. Gerald Everett is a part of this passing game. And at the tight-in position where basically if you don't have one of the top guys, everyone else sucks, give me a major part of the Herbert Chargers passing him. I think he might be the late round tight-in steel. And then on the Kansas City side, Clyde did have a good game. It was big plays again. He only had 12 opportunities in this game. 12 touches. And opportunities because he caught all his passes. So 52-yard run. That really helped him on the rushing side. It was great to see. And then he caught four passes. I want to briefly say that Patrick Mahomes was telling the truth. Yeah. Everything about this passing offense is not.

Other than focusing on Travis Kelsey at times, everybody else is who's open. How does it, you know, how does the play shake out? Nine players with targets. None over five in this game. Justin Watson with the touchdown. Juju was terrible. MBS. Yes, it was seven targets. But these were not. If you watch the game. The targets were not reasonably good targets. Literally two of them were throw away over the top targets. Another one was a he's getting sacked and just kind of chucks the ball in the middle of the field where there's three receivers and MBS was one of the closest ones. He's not a focal point of the offense. Neither is Juju. Neither is Hardman. Neither is Watson. Patrick will get his, but I don't expect to have any confidence playing.

Anybody but Travis Kelsey in the receiving game. I'm sorry. Agreed. So your process moving forward are you're like if you got MVS and juju because when they were drafted in essentially every league. C U.T. Okay. So you are cutting. You're not even going to bench and see what happens. You're going to move on to a different player. Yeah, because there are better options off the waiver wire this past week. I would rather take a shot on Curtis Samuel than either of those guys. I'd rather take a shot on Donovan People's Jones's 11 targets and maybe being the one in Cleveland than I would either of those two guys. Fair. I mean, I want to see a player that's going to take over the offense. Sky Moore is legitimately the only one that could ever do that. If he showed some skill level that was demanding a bigger focus in the offense the way Tyreek did, MBS is not going to demand that.

This guy even have a target? No. He was really a special teams player in this one. So that means the packages did not involve him. He's on my roster right now in our main league, and I'm like, if Justin Jefferson didn't do what Justin Jefferson did a couple years ago where he was irrelevant for two games and then all of a sudden they're like, okay, now you're the starter? Because I agree. If he becomes a starter, the other guys just don't have it. Yeah, and Isaiah Pacheco. Go ahead and probably move on there. Jerich McKinnon was more involved. Pacheco had one carry. Goodbye. News and notes from around the league. Presented by USAA Insurance. Not to say it will stay this way, but through week one, week two now for some of these players, Pickens, Pacheco, Damien Pierce, at least to start the year, not making the preseason impression that they had made.

Sure. The Pickens was, I mean, on the field a ton. Of those three, I would feel confident in him moving forward. All right. News, Zach Earts, upgraded to a full practice. I had said yesterday that that was going to happen. The team had come out and said it. He's going to get more snaps. Ronda Moore didn't practice won't play. J.K. Dobbins, a full participant in Thursday's practice. Okay. Jason said yesterday, you got to watch and see before you put him into your lineup. You still hold to that, right? That's what I would do. 100%. His practice reports are irrelevant. It's wait until after his first game. I got some bad news guys. Michael Pittman didn't practice on Thursday. The downgrade is not a good sign. Quad injury. It could be pity city. That was with an S. With an S. This was for you, Michael. We built this city. Let it pass.

There we go. Let it power. Yeah, it's the trifecta. Everyone's in pity. Let it feel you. I don't know if you saw that, but the drop had the producers in it too. What? Really? That's fine. All are welcome. Yeah. All are welcome. In the city. But not this week, potentially. And if they don't have, like I made the almost subset pick with Jacksonville had no idea Pittman was injured because I don't think he was. And it's going to be really hard on this offense to. You know, nobody else stepped up last week. You've got the awful tower. It's going to be. It's just going to be Johnny Taylor. Oh, stop it. Stop it. I reject that. Jonathan Taylor is going to get 50 carries. He is, but Kylin Granson may have an opportunity in this game. So if you need a dart throw it tight in, he had the targets. DeAndre Swift did not practice on Thursday. He is expected to play. He did.

They said he's going to practice, quote, a little bit on Friday. A little bit practice. Is that enough for you to be confident? If he's active, I'm going to play him because he's fantastic. He rolled his ankle in the second quarter. But the thing with ankles is a lot of times when you. The thing with angles. Yeah. Well, those injuries. Rascals. You can play through it the, you know, when you injure your ankle. And then afterwards when you rest, it swells up becomes much more difficult. So, but I can't imagine. having the stones to bench DeAndre Swift after what he showed week one. Yeah, I'd play him. Just with some, uh, a little bit of fear and trepidation. Sure. That you could get a limited Swift. He may be DeAndre like kind of fast. Uh, yeah. I don't know. George, I, you know, there was a joke there. I just didn't, I just didn't find it. I was giving you the space too, but I couldn't think of a word that was a little bit slower than Swift. Can you help me?

I mean, molasses came to mind. That's really slow. I wasn't going for slow. I was saying instead of Swift, did DeAndre, any suggestions deucers? No, everyone, everyone's shaking their heads. No, see how there's nothing there? DeAndre jog? I mean, that's what I wanted to get into, but it's not jog, right? No, that doesn't work. Can we go back in time? Power walk. Yeah, it needs to be a singular word. All right. We'll work on it, Foot Clan. Help me out. George Kiddle, I'm going to get a ton of tweets with those words. What about DeAndre Quick? I said that. You did? I don't listen to you. Swift, better, faster than quick? Oh, yeah. Oh, okay. Yes. All right. DeAndre quick? I don't know. That still sounds pretty good. Yeah, it does sound good. And that's hard to find something a degree lower than quick, Jason. Get on it. I'm working it. George Kittle didn't practice, not expected to play. Hashtag sat. Brisk.

Oh, DeAndre Brisk? Yeah, that's not bad. That's it. I think that's it. Oh, Kyle, you nailed it. All right. We did it everybody. Group effort. So that, if I had said that, I wouldn't have gotten the, uh, you would have been a home run. No, I, they would have, they would have certainly applauded. This is like, it's like clown radio today. Alan Lazard remained limited in Thursday's practice. Do you have, like if he's active, Mike, is it a wait and see with Lazard? Because preferably, yes. Okay. Alvin Camara did not practice. Come on, man. Nervous? Yeah, a little nervous. I just talked about the injury to Mark Ingram and the fact that they brought in Latavius Murray. So you got a monitor. Going back to Alan Lazard, though, if he is active, I think I would play him. They needed him. He looked so necessary to this offense. The matchup is good. Maybe that's.

Maybe that's foolish. I mean, obviously it's always going to come down to who you have other options to start. But I'm not terrified to put him out there. He's in a tier where I would be pivoting to watch and see. Because you have an ankle injuries coming off of. So you do have that risk built in. And I guess at home against Chicago, you can feel better. Yeah, I'm saying I'm okay playing him. But if you are prepared for week two and you're looking like, oh, I feel confident these guys, I would move. What if it was Brandon Ayuk? Would you start? No, I'd go to Zard. I'd rather.

I'd rather never do that. Because the 49ers are playing in the rain every week. Yeah. Goodness gracious. T. Higgins returned to practice. This is great. Still in the concussion protocol, but a chance to be cleared. David and Joker returned to practice. He had missed not due to injury. And then the Bucks wide receiver room, which is a regular feature here. You ready? Oh, yeah. Give it to me. Return to practice today. Mike Evans and Julio Jones after DNPs on Thursday. That's great. Russell Gage returned to practice on Thursday. That's great. Sounds like a rest day on Wednesday. And then KJ. Hamler did not practice. That's not as great. If you took a late round shot with him, it's time to move on to somebody else because injury plus lack of involvement means go find a better upside option. Oh, come on. Sorry. There's more news. What's wrong?

Brian Dayball said Cadarious Tony's hamstring tightened up during yesterday's practice. Goodness gracious, that guy. Well, I guess I can go make a waiver. Yeah, that's almost, it's hard to paint the picture of involvement now. I do think later in the season, it gets healthy. He is the best wide receiver, but it's very difficult after him not being involved, only getting two touches last week. Yeah, this is no good. If he's currently injured, he's not going to get the involvement this week, Then you're not going to play him until after he gets involvement. Yeah. So I don't think he should be a roster clog, is my point. I'm going to look at the waivers and see if I can pick someone out that can help me now. We covered the Jets, Browns, commanders, lions, bucks, saints, Panthers, Giants, Patriots, Steelers, and Colts Jags on yesterday's show. Manders. Thank you. There's a lot to get through here. Let's begin with the 1-0 matchup of the week. Miami at Baltimore. The Draft King Sportsbook line, Baltimore minus three and a half. The overrunners 44 and a half. I've actually had a really hard time deciding in my mind who's going to win this football game. So I'd love to hear from you guys and specifically.

what fantasy players are going to have opportunities for success? Yeah, I think this is a game that should hit the over. I mean, you have two solid teams. They've got good defenses here, but the offenses should win out. When you've got Lamar Jackson on one side and Tyree Kill on the other, there's been known to be battles there. So I am pretty happy with most of the fantasy options. I think that the Ravens will win this game. They're at home. I think they are top to bottom, the better team. They have the more experienced coach. But it should be pretty exciting. So for the Ravens, I mean, of course, Lamar and Mark Andrews, they are in. You've said that you would bench J.K. Dobbins. I agree with that. I'm going to wait and see. Which if Dobbins is active, then I'm definitely not playing Kenya Drake.

Are you playing any of the pass catchers? Rashad Bateman had the huge 55-yard touchdown. DuVernay had multiple touchdowns, but no one, none of the wide receivers seemed like they were go-to guys. Like this was not Mark Andrews and Hollywood Brown, where you know the targets are going to those two players. So do you have any confidence in any of the wide outs? I do have confidence in Bateman. I think that Bateman is a fine play. He's not someone that, You have to play over everyone. But, you know, the two touchdowns to Devin Duvernay were bomb touchdowns that ended drives. So there wasn't, you know, as much opportunity there for Bateman. And Bateman actually had another bomb touchdown opportunity that was a near miss. So he could have been the Devon Duverne two touchdown deep target guy. He's just clearly the best wide receiver. And that's what it comes down to. It's not that he had some great target share. It's that of the wide receiver core, and they're going to have to throw the ball.

Bateman is the best wide receiver there and it's not close. I think it's close. Yeah. Between him and Devin. Yeah, I don't think that there's anything definitive to make that claim. Time will tell. But I mean, Devin Duvernay's had a long career of doing not much. Same with Bateman. Not a long career. Short career of not doing much. I mean, Barton was a rookie last year who was injured the first half of the year. I just didn't see anything on the field that made me think Bateman was better than Duverne. You're just saying in last the one game. Yeah, in the one game. Okay. Yeah, that's the only sample we have this year. So are you playing Bateman or Duvernay? No. You're going to chase anything? No, no, no. I'm going to watch both those guys. I mean, I guess I'm okay playing, playing them if you don't have better options. I'd probably go with Lamar at home over a shot on Traylon Burks or a, you know, an MVS type of start where you're just dart throwing or chasing. I don't think chasing the two touchdowns for Duvernay is something I want to do.

All right. But what was Bateman's total outside of that touchdown? What was his, that touchdown was his like target situation, five targets, two receptions? Five targets in the game. Like I said, it wasn't the great target share or anything like that. But I mean, I think it's a little disingenuous to ignore like Bateman was a phenomenal. Collegiate prospect who was a first round draft pick by them. He is a good wide receiver. He ran 25 routes compared to Duvernay's 18 and to Marcus Robinson's 17. Yeah, my jury's still out on what he'll become. That's all I'm saying. I'd like to see him demand more targets than five and catch more than two. Me too. Yeah, you got him on that roster over there. On the Miami side, Chase Edmund, 16 opportunities didn't do a ton with them. It will be kind of...

interesting to watch how that, what materializes? What kind of success do we see from Edmonds? The problem with Edmonds, his entire career, has been that he's very valuable for the team. Catches a lot of passes between the 20s, but it's harder to rely on him around the goal line. We saw no efficiency from him or Rahim Mostard in week one. Going on the road here, it will be kind of interesting to see what happens. Most have got all the red zone opportunities in week one. So that's something I'm a little worried about. Yeah, I mean, the past catching. If you're in a PPR league, at least a half PPR league, I think Chase Edmonds is a fine flex play because of his utilization in the passing game. But the goal line is going to be really telling going forward. Tyree Kill, he's in there. Jaylon Wado, how'd you feel after a week one? Good enough. He's very fast. Better than both of the Bateman Duvernay? Yes. Yeah. Okay.

All right. All right. Atlanta, O and one, taking on the O and one Los Angeles Rams. These two teams, same record, same team. Yeah, there's a 10.5 point line. Yeah, draft king sports book, 10 and a half. In favor of the Los Angeles Rams. They are at home. I don't think that the Falcons will have quite the same start to the week this week that they did last week. So. According to one of our great writers, Matt DeSorbo, he pointed this out in an article. Since 2000, teams favored by ten or more points win 85% of the time. We're expecting a positive game script, any bounce back performance from the Rams. They have three extra days of rest after their NFL, you know, game one debut on Thursday night. Stafford at home, Henderson should see a ton of touches. I actually think Agers will get onto the field a lot more in this game because

They may work out some of the, I don't know, they just work out some of his issues later in the game. Yeah, if you want to get him more involved, it's a lot easier to do if you're up, you know, by 17 points than when you're down and struggling against the, you know, Buffalo Bills. He's still a bench for me. Oh, absolutely a bench. But I do think, I agree with Andy. He'll have a few more carries take away a little bit from Darnel Anderson. But Darnel Anderson. a.k.a. Daryl Henderson is a great start this week. Alan Robinson, week one, played 97% of snaps, 96% of routes run, had just two targets. Are you willing to play him this week at home? That's a yes for Mike. Yes. I'm abstaining. Not really. I'm playing him actually in multiple leagues. But Jason? No, I definitely think you should start him. The pass rush isn't going to be what they dealt with last week. And, you know, when.

When guys are smashing your face, you go to your best friend as fast as you can. You know, Stafford had no time to look through his progression. And his progression starts with Cooper Cup. That is what they say. Mario and company, Patterson, Drake London, Kyle Pitts would be the three start considerations. Patterson or my name is Jeff against Seattle. Ooh, that is. Oh, man. I'm going to go with Patterson because we've seen over the last year in a game an explosive athlete. Against the Rams. I mean, it's one of those things where his involvement can be in the passing game. It can be on the ground. Too hard to binge after an RB4 finish? After an RB4 finish and after the season he had last year. So I think Cordero is probably in most people's lineups if you have it. It's a very difficult decision. I think I would go.
