Go look for that gift. Yeah, look that up. All right, today we do have a way too early mock draft, a February 23rd mock draft. It'll be fun. It'll be fun to talk about players. Yes, free agency is still to come. The draft is still to come.

Many changes will come to this draft board. But why not talk about some guys? That's really what a mock draft is about. It's about making decisions. It's about talking about players. No. There's been some awkward things happening in the booths lately with Eli Manning and Ted Thompson. People don't, you get in there and it's like you don't know what you're doing. If you had Thompson and Eli cheering at the same time at that Super Bowl. Not bad. Exciting. So we have the NFL combines coming up.

It starts on Friday. I think they're showing up today. So that's an exciting time for rookies. So we will talk a little bit about that after we see how that shakes out. Quick question for the day. We brought this up a little while back, or somebody brought up, that we should figure out how our streaming quarterback recommendations did during the year. And just to contextualize that, every single week during the year, we made three separate streaming quarterback recommendations.

Guys, you could get off of waivers each week for those of you that don't know what a streamer is. Yeah, somebody that you could probably sign in your league and start at quarterback. We're big proponents of drafting quarterbacks later and using your first picks on running backs and wide receivers or a more valuable position because we feel like you can get really good value out of streamers. Last year you had Carson Palmer, you had Derek Carr, you have Blake Bortles, you had Cam Newton, Tom Brady. All those guys went really late.

and they were really valuable. So we actually had a listener that decided to dig into the details. Now, we don't copy each other on our streaming recommendations each week because we want to give you three separate options because your league. Somebody might be signed. Kirk Cousins could be gone and you need to go get James Winston or something. So I'm going to go ahead and play his voicemail because he did the math and he deserves his time on the air. So here we go. Hey, what's up, guys? This is Jared from Vegas. I'm going to try to keep this.

Short, I did some number crunching on your quarterback streamers. I don't know if I'm the only one that did this. But overall, you guys on average for the season drafted the six or streamed the six best quarterback in the league. That's your total points divided by the three of you. Overall, you were six. 49% of your picks were QB1. You had two weeks where no one drafted a QB1. You had one week.

where all three of you streamed a QV-1. That was week 17. Individually, Andy streamed the fifth best quarterback all year. Mike streamed the sixth best quarterback all year. Jason streamed the eighth best quarterback all year. So you guys were all top 10. Andy, QV-1 is at 59%. Jason.

8 2B1s at 47%. Mike, 7 QB1s at 41%. And as far as standard deviation, that consistency with standard deviation about 4.5. Andy was second with 5, and Mike was the boomer bust at almost 8 standard deviation. When I figured standard deviation, I took out your worst weeks because you all had one.

Major outlier, Andy had Fitzpatrick the week. He broke his thumb. I omitted Jason's Landry Jones experiment and so on and so forth. So, all right, love the show, and that's it. So, first of all right, thank you very much. Thank you very much for that. That's pretty neat to see. And so just, you know, when you hear that, you basically could have...

stream the six best quarterback and then had that first pick for a running back or a wide receiver. And that's, I mean, that's essentially if you don't even draft a quarterback because we're finding these guys off of waivers every week. The idea when we draft is to get a guy, you know, last year you were looking at Philip Rivers, who you had for half of the year, who was really good, Mike. So, yeah, I mean, when you draft a quarterback high, you are wasting one of your picks when you can. Potentially. Potentially. Most likely. Obviously, if you land.

If you use a pick on that guy you think's going to be the number one quarterback and he turns out to be the number one quarterback, you probably didn't waste your pick. Maybe. Maybe. Well, that's why I say you didn't waste it. You didn't waste it. But you still could do better than that because even though the guy finishes number one, week in, week out, he's not going to be number one every week. And you'll never sit in. The only way it's not a waste to me is those years where you took Andrew Luck in the fourth round and he was clearly...

the number one or the year people were taking Wilson, which even this year he finished a bit high, but they took Wilson slightly later than his value returned. I just, I think if you spend a top two pick first or second round on a quarterback, you're not going to return your value for the points. Yeah, and so it's good to get some, it's nice to see some statistical foundation for that, because we talk about it all off season. And some people, you know, it's not easier.

I don't think it's easier for a fantasy owner to skip over a quarterback and draft one late because it's more work to stream a guy. But we think it's the most efficient...

All right, we talked a lot about Dionne Lewis a couple weeks ago. Lewis's ACL recovery has been going good according to surgeon. Going well. Did I say good? Yeah. Oh, I feel bad now. It's been encouraging, according to surgeon Dr. James Andrews so far. So they expect him back for week one. That's the news. That's the rumors on the streets. And I think it's fantastic. I believe that Dionne Lewis will be undervalued in drafts because...

of just the ACL combined with the scare of the Patriots and Bill Belichick screwing people over fantasy for years. However, as of this point, I'm fully on the Dionne Lewis bandwagon. All right. I like it. I made some arguments, didn't I? Didn't I talk you into it a little bit? Would have been fourth best running back when he left the field. He was great. Yeah, the problem is...

whether or not they're going to go out, for me, is whether or not they're going to go out and sign a bigger running back replacement if they are worried about the injury or, you know, draft one high. If they come back with the team intact how it is, they re-sign Legerat Blunt, they maybe pick up some. They just haven't done it. They haven't done what you're fearful of for so long. They have not. And so if they continue status quo, I am in complete agreement.

Dionne Lewis is going to be one of the steals of the draft. Somebody who, no matter where you would ever draft him, will always be overvalued forever. Joseph Randall has been arrested yet again. He was shown on video during the arrest saying, my career is over. It is. Which it is. That is so sad. Which is just a disappointing. Last off season, we were speculating about the value of Joseph Randall. He came out, he gave some people, you know, remember that Falcons game too? He had some big games.

but his career seems shot. And it's just sad. I mean, I didn't bring it up to make light of it, really, just to say, it's too bad. Can I tell you what I was wearing when I read this news blurb? Wow. This is like your JFK moment? Yes, this is my JFK moment. I was in my living room. I was upstairs in my master bedroom. I don't know where this conversation is going. I was wearing, well, because it came out the same day as another piece of news.

I was wearing my Arizona Cardinals Max Hall jersey. Why were you wearing? My three-year-old got it from me. Every person that is listening right now said, who is Max Hall? Yes, who is Max Hall. He is a 15 minute of fame quarterback who looked like he was going to be the next great thing until he fell into drugs and terrible quarterback play. Not in that order. Yeah, but he was also back in the news, Max Hall.
