We took Andy Dalton there in the sixth round, Lev Bell, Lechelle McCoy, Julio Jones, Ty Hilton, Thomas Rawls, the rest of the roster. Very strong, but you need to have the performance at the quarterback position in a league like this. And I think, let me ask you this, Jason, when you're in this situation and you're drafting quarterbacks late in a two quarterback league, don't you think that having three or four names is very important?

Not necessarily in a 10-team. In a 10-team league, you'll still be able to stream. I think 3 is okay. I mean, if you wanted to have... You're not going to be able to stream in a 10-team league. Sure you will. No, you will not. 100% you will. I disagree.

You have a 10-team league. Most rosters are going to have two to three. That's going to fill up all the starters. Yes, there will be one or two guys that drop into the waiver wire over the year, but that is not streaming. Okay, streaming might be the wrong word, but what I am saying is you're going to be able to use the waiver wire to supplement in good, impactful ways for your team. That's what I mean. I mean, we saw it last year. You can pick 50 quarterbacks, and no one drafted Ryan Fitzpatrick last year. Nobody.

Nobody was drafting Kirk Cousins last year, even in most two quarterback leagues. Nobody drafted Tyraud Taylor. Just because those anomalies exist. They exist every single year. But they're two or three. That's not flexibility to play your quarterback position. You're going to have an entire league competing for those guys. You do not have flexibility there. You have to have a foundation you can rotate in. I think you have to have a foundation of two good quarterbacks. If you want to add a third, you're fine.

You have to have three. Okay. Well, then let's get three. All right. We're sitting here in the seventh round. Jeremy Hill went off the board. Derek Carr, Dionne Lewis went off the board late. You can kind of see the impact of a standard league on his draft position. Jeremy Macklin, Greg Olson, Ryan Matthews, Kelvin Benjamin. James Winston is a quarterback that's still on the board. Tyrod Taylor. You also have Travis Kelsey that is intriguing me at the tight-in position this late in the draft. In a standard league, I really like the idea. I think Kelsey's a guy that will push eight to ten touchdowns.

7 to 10 touchdowns. It's in the middle of the 7th round. Well, read whether their tight ends are on the board. Delaney Walker, Kobe Fleener, Tyler, Eiffert, Gary Barnage. Yeah, I mean, for me, I have Kobe Fleener ranked ahead of, I have him ranked ahead of Travis Kelsey. Even in a standard league, I believe, let me verify that. So taking, obviously, I wouldn't take Kelsey over Kobe. Let me just make sure, yeah, in a standard league, Kobe Fleener is my fourth tight end.

You also have Jonathan Stewart, DeMarco Murray still at the running back position. Do you feel a pressure to draft the second quarterback here? I personally don't. Even now knowing it's two quarterback, I don't feel like we have to. Okay, so I see Tyrod Taylor, James Winston, Jake Cutler, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Joe Flack, Alex Smith, Brock Oswald. If you want three and you want to try to grab Tyrod Taylor or James Winston along with Alex Smith in a couple rounds.

I don't, you know, you're going to see three more guys go off the board between our two picks right now. So do you think we need to take a quarterback or who would you take here? Would you go with Kelsey? What are our wide receivers? Wide receiver wise, we have Julio and Hilton and we need another. Yeah. So I, for me, I really like a lot of the guys that are on the board. Golden Tate, Julian Edelman, Jarvis Landry, Eric Decker. Eric Decker as a wide receiver three, he is in a standard league. Michael Floyd? Where he scored, oh, Floyd is great. I mean, that's what I'm saying.

I would rather have those type of players. So you'd rather drop the wide receiver and wait another round? I would. So would you'd rather have Michael Floyd, Golden Tate, or Eric Decker? Michael Floyd, Golden Tate, or Eric Decker. I'm thinking because we have such top-in talent, I'm going to go for whoever is safest week to week, and I don't think there's anybody more consistent than Eric Decker. I'm totally fine with that. You got Ryan Fitzpatrick back, and Eric Decker deserves...

the same upside and praise that Brandon Marshall received earlier. Okay, so we drafted Eric Decker in the seventh. You had Golden Tate did go off the board. We did not see another quarterback go off the board. So I was wrong. Golden Tate went off. Kelsey did go, Floyd, Stewart, Frank Gore, but the quarterbacks have slowed down now. There hasn't been a quarterback pick since the ninth pick of the sixth round, which is about 20 picks ago. We're sitting here in the eighth round. Now,

Do you, you know, you got Kobe Fleener on the board. You've got Tyler Eifford on the board, who probably won't play in the first couple weeks of the year. You still have Jeremy Langford, Gio Bernard, and then you have Tyrod Taylor, James Winston. So who's the pick here? Yeah, there's a lot of guys. Let's take one more run through our roster and take a look. So our roster is at quarterback Andy Dalton, running back. We've got Levion Bell, LaShawn McCoy, Thomas Rawls in a flex at wide receiver, Julio Jones, T. Y. Hilton and Eric Decker.

Those were stacked. I think for me, because we're punting quarterback, if we take Kobe Fleener here and we just have a boss lineup absolutely everywhere. You don't think Barnage over? You know, I trust the Saints offense to use the tight end far more than a repeat of Barnage. I do like Barnage, but I'm not going to take him over Kobe Fleener.

Okay, so let's go ahead and take Kobe Fleener right here, stack that lineup, punt on the second quarterback for a little bit longer, and the risk was worth it. Jeremy Langford went off, Barnage went off, Landry went off, ninth round here. There still has not been another quarterback taken. So we get our pick of all the guys that we wanted. Melvin Gordon is on the board still in the ninth round. In the ninth round in a standard league. How do you not take Melvin Gordon here? You're going to need a flex play with Lev Bell out. How do you not take Melvin Gordon?

I'm fine taking Melvin Gordon. Now, the question is, is this where a couple of those quarterbacks? How many quarterbacks are you happy with? Seven. Seven guys. Really? Taylor, Winston, Cutler, Fitzpatrick, Flacco, and Osweiler. Yeah, I would say a couple of those guys that wouldn't be happy with. Yeah, you're right. Cutler, Flacco, Osweiler. I would be happy with Taylor or Winston, and I would be fine with Fitzpatrick and Smith. That is identical to how I am. So I don't think four go off the board between the next two picks. Well, the happy is only two. That would be a tier.

Right? Tyrod Taylor and James Winston are you happy? Do you think both go off the board? Yes. This is the risk. You do think both. I think we've we've escaped two rounds without a single quarterback being taken. I don't think we go three rounds without one being taken. That makes me want to draft Melvin Gordon even more. Let's do it. Let's see what happens. I want to roll the dice.

Melvin Gordon off the board, stacking the running back core, and no further quarterbacks went off the board. There you go. It can get scary, but it's one of those things where once teams are, I mean, you can look at other rosters in the league and say, okay, everybody's got two, everybody's got three. People are still filling their flex spot and be a little bit more sure. That's what I would have done in a real draft. In a mock draft, you just click a button and find out what happens. At this point, I would like to draft James Winston or Tyro Taylor.

And to be honest, I'd rather draft Winston because I think... 100% I'd rather draft Winston because of a surety, you know... Oh, yeah. His upside is huge, but I don't really feel like the odds of him, you know, his floor is probably where I think Taylor would... His floor is much lower. Yeah, and also, he's the number one pick in the draft for a team. He's their franchise guy. Tyrod Taylor isn't that. If James Winston comes out and struggles...

for, you know, a quarter of the year. James Winston's playing the next three quarters of the year. All right. So look, inventory here, what I'm now calling the mock gone wrong. The mock gone wrong. If this is the mock gone wrong. I was going to say our team is boss. I, uh, well, look, two quarterback league. We waited on quarterbacks. We end up with Andy Dalton and James Winston as our first two. I think there's a lot of people out there that kind of make a grimacing face to that. But I, I don't.

I think because what you do here is you put yourself in a position where you want foundational points at the quarterback position. You want a baseline to support what we have on the rest of the roster. The running backs on our team, Thomas Rawls, Melvin, Gordon, Levion, Bell, and Sean McCoy. The wide receivers on our team are Julio Jones, T.Y. Hilton, and Eric Decker. I mean, I would not be surprised if we end up rolling Eric Decker out more often than T.Y. Hilton, depending on the way the league goes, the way.

Decker was so consistent last year. Yeah, I could see that. Just for the people rolling their eyes, James Winston and Andy Dalton are my, I'm checking my updated rankings. They are the 11th and 12th quarterback, respectively. We have two quarterback ones according to our rankings. Sure. And I love it. All right. We need to close this draft out here. We have three bench spots left, defense and a kicker.

There is still a ton of talent on the board, which is exactly what you see in a two-quarterback league. Standard League. You have some upside here that I'm seeing. You got Josh Gordon still on the board. I don't want Josh Gordon and Levy on Bell holding up two spots. Sure. You have Tyler Lockett. I'd rather have Kevin White, who I think could produce. Arian Foster, T.J. Yeldin and another quarterback. Yeah, I was going to say. I think I'd grab, like, Ryan Fitzpatrick right here, and just I'd feel so much better about this team. I would love it.

And then you got him with Decker. You got the combination. Ryan Fitzpatrick, we took him. Now you're seeing more quarterbacks off the board. Smith, Cutler, Osweather, Griffin, the panic for the final quarterback set in. And we set that trend. We didn't follow it. Right. Which is nice. You got Tevin Coleman, Kevin White. I'd love to draft Kevin White here. Oh, I want stock in Kevin White this year. I really do. I think he is exceptionally talented. I like him more than any of the, you know, rookie.

wide receivers this year, which is essentially now his going to be his rookie year. There are basically no viable quarterbacks remaining in this draft. Blaine Gabbart, Mark Sanchez, and Teddy Bridgewater, the only potential starters left. Colin Kaepernick, I still think. Blaine Gabbard and Colin Kaepernick could. So right now we need one more bench spot.

What are the names that you see that stand out to you? Guys standing out, the aforementioned. I know the guy I want. Rookie wide receivers. Sterling Shepard is there and looks pretty good. You have, who is it? Antonio Gates. Oh, really? A second tight end? I would consider it with Kobe Fleener. Look, you can say all you want about Kobe Fleener. He is still in a new offense. If I'm surprised in the wrong way with Kobe Fleener, I'd use my last bench spot on a guy that I now have ranked as the number.

He's in almost to my top five tight in with Antonio Gates. Yeah, he's going to have a great year. I don't hate, hate that. I just think. You have other options here. I mean, you have Sterling Shepard and Kenneth Dixon. You know a guy that sticks out to me is just, we've got T.Y. Hilton. I wonder if you grab a Philip Dorset and, you know, for the upside, maybe if Hilton goes down. I would go Gates. I will give you the pick then. All right.

And then let's just go ahead and grab the Bengals defense to close out the draft. I want to get your commentary on this roster, Jason, and what you think the weaknesses are and the strengths. All right. So at quarterback, we have... Hey, we got to see. At quarterback, we have Andy Dalton, James Winston, and Ryan Fitzpatrick. You could say the weakness there would be the top end, like a top five quarterback type of guy. If Andy Dalton doesn't do what he did to start last year.

Right. Or James Winston doesn't take a step forward. Sure. And the thing is, is with those three, you can play matchups. And with a roster like this, we would be watching the waiver. At running back, we've got Levion Bell, LaShawn McCoy, Thomas Rawls, Melvin Gordon. I think that that is a great group of guys. Standard League, it's so strong. In a standard league, it's incredibly strong. I do say this. I think that we are, I think instead of Gates, looking at the whole roster now,

We would have been better to grab one more piece of depth at running back. Four running backs in a standard league is a little shallow to me, especially when one of them is Levy on Bell. You're probably right. Wide receiver, Julio Jones, T. Y. Hilton, Eric Decker, Kevin White. I love our wide receivers. I love our running backs. Kobe Fleener is like my guy this year.

So obviously I'm going to like him there and Gates as well. You know what this shows me. If we could have got Gates that late, instead of Kobe Fleener, had we taken a running back that was at that place on the board, probably would have been better to wait and grab Gates over Fleener, even though that's my guy. No, that's right. I agree with you. So I would give, I would give this draft a strong B plus A minus. Interesting to see how it turned out in light of the oversight. Yeah, that was Mike.
