I think I see three names. I think I see Doug Martin, Mark Ingram, and Lechelle McCoy. You might put Eddie Lacey in that group. I would. You might put Thomas Rawls in that group. I would. So maybe that puts us at five running backs and three wide receivers that we feel strongly about. Yeah, except I also would have added T.Y. Hilton and Sammy Watkins to the wide receiver core. So now we're split there. So now we're split. So we just take the best guy available, right? Sure. Now, does Levy & Bell factor into this? Because we have a...

essentially one wide receiver and it does it does i think i think it makes us uh want to be stronger at the running back position early if the tiers are the same so that we have a solidified running back core in the first four weeks of the season okay so is that uh would that be doug martin or mark ingram or la shan mccoy um let me pull up our uh our udk here yeah

Go ahead and pull that up. I lean, for me, it's between Martin and McCoy if I'm picking a running back. It would be McCoy. Yeah. And I think I love that pick. You got a guy that is on a. The volume will be there. Yep. The volume will be there in the running game. The volume will be there for him in the passing game. Even though you don't get, you know, points per reception, you still get yards and touchdowns when he catches the ball. So that's a pretty good start to the team.

All right. Give us a lay of the land of where we are right now. All right. So we have Levion Bell and Julio Jones along with LaShawn McCoy. So running back pretty good there. We're going to have to have someone to fill in for four weeks in the beginning. We are coming up to the fourth pick.

Several more quarterbacks went off the board in between ours. Blake Bortles, Philip Rivers, Tom Brady, Eli Manning. So now we are Carson Palmer's gone. There are a lot of quarterbacks off the board. We should look and see what the position is there. Yeah, this has been a situation that you'll probably see in some of your drafts where panic sets in at a position and guys start going off the board early because you don't want to be left or the perception is you don't want to be left with.

the bottom of the barrel at the quarterback position. Now, we talk all the time about drafting a late-round quarterback, putting yourself in a position to scoop up talent. And that's what's happened in this draft this far. We'll be able to grab talent at other positions at the expensive quarterback because quarterbacks are going off the board and those guys are dropping further and further. You look at the board right now at the wide receiver position. You have incredible talent. Keenan Allen, Brandon Cook, Amari Cooper, T. Y. Hilton, Sammy Watkins.

Love those names. Makes me feel very good about drafting LaShelle McCoy where we did. You still have C.J. Anderson. You still have Carlos Hottes, Thomas Rawls, Latavius Murray. Feel much better about where the wide receiver position is right now in terms of talent. That being said, we're in a standard league. Keenan Allen doesn't jump off the page in a standard league to me. No, Sammy Watkins jumps off the page to me. I mean, you know that I'm super high on him.

Where do you have Watkins rank compared to Hilton on your rankings? Do you have that up? I can pull my rankings up. Because I know you're rising. I'm rising on Sammy Watkins. If you look over the last eight weeks, he did everything he could in those last eight weeks to say, hey, I know that this offseason coming up, you're going to doubt me because of the offense I'm in, the passing volume. But do you really want Sammy Watkins and LaShawn McCoy both on your team?

Because see, I don't. That's a good point. I don't. No, I don't want to grab the passing. When there's other talented people here, like T.Y. Hilton, who I love, I mean, I've got them separated by four spots. I think very few people draft T.Y. Hilton over Keenan Allen. But I would do it here. I would do it. This is a standard league as well. I mean, in a P.P.R, I'm drafting Keenan Allen over T.Y. Hilton. But T. Y. Hilton is the type of guy.

that is going to get a lot of bomb-type touchdowns in an Andrew Luck offense. You don't get that from Keenan Allen. Keenan Allen, you're getting the 9 to 11-yard quick slants, and those aren't nearly as good in a standard league. Yeah, I would say I anticipate Hilton and Allen to end with similar touchdown totals, but I expect Hilton to put up the yardage to support a standard league pick here.

Yeah, there are so many good players here. I mean, Demarius Thomas and Amari Cooper are there as well. There's no shortage. And part of the reason of that is because of quarterbacks. And so what a lot of players do is they go, oh, my goodness, I have to now draft the quarterback. You know, I'm stuck with Tony Romo and Andy Dalton and those guys. But when I look at the list of quarterbacks that I would still like, I go way down the list. And I think I'm super happy with Tyrod Taylor and Matthew Stafford and Matt Ryan. They're going to be fine because in a 10-team league, you can always stream.

Because the waiver pool is full of, you know, 20 quarterbacks that are starting, or, you know, usually 15 quarterbacks that are starting will be on your waivers. So I feel very, I feel pretty good with Hilton. I feel like what we saw last year with Cooper and Crabtree is you didn't see the red zone targets I would have liked to see for Cooper. He has the ability to assume, but Hilton seems to be a great compliment to Julio Jones here. I love it. All right.

By the way, 6% of experts agreed with that pick. Oh, this is the thing is. So we forgot to mention, we're using fantasydraftwizard.com. That's what the fantasy footballers use, have used for years. Just so easy to make quick mock draft draft. I mean, you hear us doing it right now. It's so fun and easy. So that's fantasy draft wizard.com. But when you're done with your draft, if you did a good job, usually it says you got a bad team.

And that's because what you didn't do is you didn't grab just the most recommended guy. If you just click the top guy and close your eyes and just keep clicking your mouse on the same spot, you'll end up with a great team according to the system. It is funny because every single year that goes by, we have so many messages on Twitter saying, I thought I did a good job, but look, look, I got like a D. Is my team that bad? No. No, the computer. You did it right. But yeah, it's not based on recommended.

You know, people email us and they say, hey, who should I pick between these two guys? We'll give you our opinion. We'll help you out. But we are not able to be in the draft with you. We are not able to see what the teams around you have. We don't get to see what it looks like down the line when you give us the A, B choice. And so that's what we're trying to give you the perspective of now is, look, hey, we drafted T.Y Hilton based on the rest of our team, not just based on a head-to-head matchup.

All right. We are now heading into the fifth round. Keenan Allen went off the board. Amari Cooper, Romo, C.J. Anderson, Sammy Watkins. Brandon Cooks, Matt Ryan, and Carlos Hyde. We are in the fifth round. Our team is a suspended, likely suspended levy on Bell. LaShaul McCoy, Julio Jones, and Ty Hilton. Man, those are four great picks. If you ever enter your fifth round.

Having got Levi-on-Bel, Sean McCoy, Julio Jones, and T.Y. Hilton, you're going to be happy, and you're going to have the freedom to play with these picks. I will note, though, see, here's what starts happening when you don't freak out about the quarterback. Since our last pick coming all the way back around, only two more quarterbacks left. Because teams fill up their quarterback. Yep. And now they're not going to be drafting their second when they're this early in the draft. So it's good to hold on.

All right, so we're sitting here in the fifth round, and this is when I really think drafting Levi-on-Bel does make an impact to your team. Because I'm sitting here looking at the talent at running back, at wide receiver. You still have, you know, these are the quarterbacks on the board. Derek Carr, Kurt Cousins, Andy Dalton, Tyrod Taylor, James Winston, Matthew Stafford, Ryan Fitzpatrick. Alex Smith. I'm okay with those guys. Yeah, me too. I'm totally fine with them. So I'm going to wait. Because we'll play matchups in the season.

And that's another thing. When you're done with your draft, keep listening through the year and stream the right people. That makes more of a difference for winning championships. There's a guy that jumps off the page to me. Thomas Rawls is the guy. Yeah, Thomas Rawls at the running back position. You got Latavius Murray, Jeremy Hill, Jonathan Stewart, Matt Forte is still on the board. So why Thomas Rawls? Thomas Rawls in a standard league should be a top five running back. I mean, we're talking a first round option. I think that's a very bold statement. You can say it's a bold statement. Let me tell you why it's not.

You have the Seattle Seahawks who have been a great running team. Their defense is the team, right? Would you agree that they are a defensive-minded team and that that is like their? Historically, they have been a defensive-minded team. I think they have both pieces now.

Sure, I think they can open up the offense. But they want to win games the Pete Carroll way, and that's going to be with their defense. And last year, you saw Thomas Rawls in a large stretch of games be the number one running back. You know he can do it. And he's going to come in, and he's going to be the starting running back for a run-heavy defense-minded team. And this is a standard league. The only knock that is on Thomas Rawls, assuming he's starting,

is that he doesn't catch the ball or we're afraid he might not. Maybe he'll be used, you know, less than Marshaun Lynch was in the passing game. This is a standard league. I mean, to get Thomas Rawls in the fifth, I think is a steal. All right. I'm on board. I definitely am on board with the fact that we have Levi-on-Bell, and now you've got LaShawn McCoy and Thomas Rawls can quite easily carry the load for you in those first part of the season. Now, we drafted Rawls. Do you have any fear that?

that depending on Rawls in place of Levy on Bell is the wrong choice because of Rawls coming off the injury, maybe being eased into a workload? No, I don't think he will be eased into the workload. In the news today was the fact that they didn't put him on the PUP. And so they're going to see him in training camp. He will be in preseason. So I don't think they're going to ease him in come week one. All right. After Rawls went to Marius Thomas, we saw a couple more.

quarterbacks off the board with Cousins and Tannahill. And so they are getting quite thin at the quarterback position. All right. Who all's left? Let's take a look. And this is where at quarterback, what I start doing, what? Look at your roster. The roster of Levian Bell. Yeah, look at the two positions ahead of it. Julio Jones. No, no, no, above it. Running backs above the running backs. What are the empty spots up there?

Oh, my goodness. Andrew Holloway. It says quarterback, and it says quarterback. Yeah, maybe that's why all the quarterbacks are going off the board. Did you put two quarterbacks on? Apparently, I did. Oh, well, hey, let's say we did this. I mean, I have no problem doing that. If I can start with Thomas Rawls, T.Y. Hilton, Julio Jones, LaShawn McCoy, and Levy on Bell, and say, hey, I'm really going to kick the quarterback down the road a little bit.

Did we say we didn't need Mike? Look at, well, this is what Mike would have been advocating for. He would have been saying, don't you dare take that guy when you got Thomas Rawls on the board. Oh, you know, I just felt like if quite a, quite a few quarterbacks were going off the board, just even faster than I thought possible. So let's look at the quarterbacks with that in mind now.

Okay. So at this point, we're up against it in the 6th at the quarterback position. You still got Derek Carr, Andy Dalton, Tyrod Taylor, James Winston, Matthew Stafford. If I wanted to have a kind of foundational choice for my first quarterback off the board, it would be Dalton or Stafford personally. I think the risk is the lowest between those two guys, and then you have some upside with Carr and Winston. Tyra Taylor is a guy you really like, and Ryan Fitzpatrick is also somebody that's going to have his game. Let me say what I would do.

in this draft because when you're in a two quarterback league that you're going to have a lot of quarterbacks off the board um i like guys like you're saying that you know we're going to play 16 games like they're the starter right so i know fitzpatrick for instance just signed but if he comes out and stinks

I could see, you know, look, if the team's not doing good, you know, they drafted Christian Hackenberg, and he's a little bit more risky. Tyrod Taylor gets injured. But a guy like Alex Smith, he is a perfect quarterback two for a two quarterback lead. So if we were to grab an Andy Dalton, who is my like number seven quarterback overall, and then look for an Alex Smith in a little bit or someone that is, I mean, I would be thrilled with that. It wasn't our intent from the beginning.

But goodness gracious, if we could end up with Andy Dalton and Alex Smith and then stream off the waiver still? Every time we talk to Mike about two quarterback leagues, we try to push him to draft a quarterback first, early, not first. An early quarterback and a late quarterback. And Mike is the one that consistently pushes back and pushes back and pushes back. He says you'll be fine if you wait until the six, seven days later. So I'm going to choose to believe that Mike's the one that snuck onto my computer and added an extra quarterback spot for this draft.
