Oh my goodness. The ballers are. It is Thursday. That's a little something new for us because you only have draft day once a year, baby. Draft day. Well, three days a year. Well, it can be every day if you watch the Kevin Costner movie. Did you watch that movie? Did we go to that movie together? No, I saw it with my wife.

2:34 ↗

And I regrettably saw that movie after I left. That's two hours. I enjoyed the movie. Even for all of its ridiculous trades, I just enjoyed watching a, you know, a major movie about the NFL. That's it. Welcome to the fantasy footballers podcast. I am Kevin Costner. Andy Holloway joined by Jason Moore. Mike, the fantasy hitman. Right. Quick question. James Winston is a franchise quarterback. Okay.

3:02 ↗

I was going to say NFL quarterback. I was going to say Tampa Bay Buccaneer. I was kind of going for what team he's going to be on. Oh, Marcus Marietta is a... Oh, Titan. I say Marcus Marietta is a... Yeah, come on top ten, man. New Orleans Saint. I'm going to say Tennessee Titan. Todd Gurley is a... Oh, I got to think about a second round team that we'll take him. Second round. Oh. You're crazy. Come back to me.

3:34 ↗

All right, I say Todd Gurley is a Miami Dolphin. I say Todd Gurley is an Atlanta Falcon. Okay. Hold on, hold on. Oh, I don't, I don't know. Wow. Weak. I don't know the second, I don't know the second round order. The first round came up. I will go with, he is a Jaguar. Okay. In the second round. All right.

4:02 ↗

Big day to day, boys. NFL draft time is here, and I'm excited. We've got some news and notes on today's show, and then we've got a big old mailbag to sift through, answer a bunch of listener questions. We are the answer. We are Alan Iverson. Practice? Nice. Man, I just watched another one of his old interviews, and he kind of liked himself. That's a little bit. I would like myself, too, if I was Alan Iverson. Yeah, except for the wasting all my money part.

4:34 ↗

So lots of good content for today's show. Last Thursday, we brought you a bunch of the rookie kind of preview information. We'll touch some of that today. We like it. We appreciate it. We actually feel it every time you push that button. We get a little buzz. When those five stars come in, those five stars go right to my heart. Well, I have a pacemaker connected to Bluetooth.

5:54 ↗

On my phone with reviews just buzzed my heart. Yeah, so you keep your impact. You keep Mike alive. Yeah, that's true. That's true with all those three by threes. If you don't get one or two, five-star reviews a day, you cease to exist. Mm-hmm. At least a part of me does. We should tie, like, reviews in directly with your hairstyles. Like, certain amount per day. That's how you have to. Speaking of five-star reviews, let's read one of them. Review Osoris Rex. This one comes in from Jonathan Trent. Jonathan Trent says,

6:26 ↗

Hey, dudes, because we are the dudes. You realize we're all giving you five stars just so we could get our reviews read, right? I hope not. I really hope not. But we're willing to read this one. There were far better ones, but we're honest and humble here. It says, well, maybe not all of us. Here's to the only podcast that's giving us fantasy freaks our biweekly dose of heaven. Thank you for all the knowledge, the tactics, the info.

6:53 ↗

and the humor. Well, Jonathan Trent, you're welcome and we love you. Yeah. Yeah, we just asked for reviews. If you think we're more of a four-star show, you can put that in there. I mean, we would disagree, but... What was your... Did you have a question right before I played that? Yeah, I was just going to say, so after the draft is over, is that the official start for you guys of actual fantasy draft season? Or does that still wait? I think it's

7:23 ↗

the start, because you can start actually projecting on, you know, we have these situations now. We talked about it last week that Devante Freeman's or the Jerich McKinnons or the Lamar Millers, these guys that could be impacted by the draft. I mean, I believe draft season started right when the Seattle Seahawks decided not to hand the ball to March on Lynch. Oh, at the end of that game. Yeah. But, yeah, I agree. It'll be nice. It'll be nice to be able to talk about some of these things with a little bit more.

7:53 ↗

conviction. And there's the second round of free agency that happens. All of our water bets will be more relevant then. Let's look at a few of the news and notes. News and notes from around the league. You want to know why I had hesitation? Because I almost said, let's look at some of the news and notes from around the league. It would have been very redundant. Well, now you redundant. Draft. Oh, wait. What? The draft. The NFL draft is tonight.

8:26 ↗

We've made our bold predictions. Are you guys standing by yours? I'd fully stand my mind. Well, I said it, so I have to stand by it. So you think maybe Marriota. Jason thinks that Marriota might drop out of the first round. No. No, no, no, no, no. Whoa. First round. I think it's possible. That's right, because Mike said that running backs wouldn't go in the first round. Yeah, possibility. Now remember, these are bold predictions as in.

8:52 ↗

I'm excited to see what kind of trades go down tonight. Yeah, I mean, that's the best part. The number two pick. I mean, the ticker comes across and trade pops up and you want to know what happened. When Tennessee hits the board, that's when the draft starts. Oh, the first 15 minutes is just going to be excruciating. Because you know the bucks are going to let that clock go all the way to zero. Well, to see if they get some kind of offer that makes them, you know. That's the worst. Go crazy. Because they said, why did their GM come out and say a lot of interest for that first pick now?

9:22 ↗

Yeah. Well, of course there is. Yeah. I don't know. A lot of interest. If you could get a haul, though. Means like his son came and said, hey, I bet you could trade that pick. Yeah. Brian Quick. This is news? Brian Quick could be ready. It is. Brian Quick was a waiver sensation last year. Could be ready for OTAs. Well, that's good for him. You guys are, you got to pay attention. So what is Brian Quick going to be this year? I don't know. A wide receiver. Mike? What say you? I got to. Yeah, you put this news in here.

9:51 ↗

Is Nick Foles actually the quarterback of the Rams? I don't know. Okay. I got to see all that stuff. But Brian Quick, apparently you guys have the short-term memory loss. That Brian Quick was a beast for a few games. Yeah, he had a good run. I just, I don't know what I'll be this year. He's a good player. Just depends on, yeah, who the quarterback is. Browns, Browns, left tackle, Joe Thomas said Johnny Mansell is committed now. Night and day difference from last year. Does it matter?

10:19 ↗

It matters to me because it's coming from Joe Thomas. I feel like Joe Thomas is a kind of a leader of that team. And if he's saying it, maybe he's just trying to pump up Mansell a little bit more. I completely disagree with you. I think he's a leader. And because he's a leader, he's going to support anybody that is on that roster, no matter what happened. They did not support him last year. Yeah, the team turned on him. They all crapped all over him. And if he's really turning his life around, if the Browns give up.

10:48 ↗

every single pick they have for Mario, it doesn't matter. But it's worth noting. I think that all the news that the Browns are going to give up every single pick to get Marioada is to get Johnny Mansell doing what he's doing, and he's doing it. I mean, nothing like motivated. You know, Johnny Manzel has... It's like Montel Williams. He's doing it, doing it well. Yeah. I'm saying... I messed up the reference. No. That was L.O. Cool, J. Oh, yeah. Montel, are you? You got L.L. Cool J and Monty. I was trying to think, who's the guy who... This is how we do it.

11:18 ↗

This is how I would do it. Oh, that's Jason Moore. But my point is Mansell's always had everything kind of given to him. Montel Jordan. He hasn't had, yes. Isn't it? Well, Williams is that he's the talk show host. Yeah. Montal Jordan is the one that sang that song, right? All right. Well, at least.

11:35 ↗

Whatever. This is why we're Striper fans. Yeah. I apologize. Anyways, I just think a little fire under Johnny Manzo might actually get him to have a work ethic. And with a work ethic, maybe he could be an actual NFL quarterback. I still don't think he will be. You like quarterbacks who run. That's why you like Mario da. Yeah, I just, I don't believe in Manzole. But I guess Joe Thomas does now.

11:57 ↗

Texans agreed two terms with the poor guy. I felt so bad for him. Running back Chris Polk of the Eagles, formerly of the Eagles, to a one-year contract. It's a good landing spot to be kind of that... Does he become the handcuff? No. No, not to me. It's Alfred Blue is the handcuff. But Polk is just another guy to have on that roster who was discarded because his... They picked up his option, but then they...

12:24 ↗

No, no, no. They tendered him and then they took it away. That's what it was. When they made the commitment to Ryan Matthews and then got to Marco. And Frank Gore. When they went after every other running back.

12:35 ↗

Yeah, Chris Polk. But I actually really like this news for your boy for Arian Foster because I was thinking... Well, no one's taking his carries. Yeah. My point is, I really thought that they were going to be going after a replacement this year for Aaron Foster in the draft. Yeah, you did. You mentioned that. And I don't see that... I think if you're Houston now and you've got Alpha Blue and you sign Chris Polk, maybe you steer away from running backs in this draft, which means I like Aaron Foster, you know...

13:02 ↗

I expected him to have that guy in the waiting. It's not going to be Chris Polk, and that might keep the guy in the waiting off for another year. So I like it. That's a pretty good point. I like Aaron Foster. He's just got to stay healthy, man. He's got to prove me right. He's got to get some of those Chip Kelly Power smoothies. Speaking of Aaron Foster, or speaking of Draft Day, he was in that. He was. He was one of those up-and-coming college recruits in the movie Draft Day. Oh, really? Critically acclaimed movie.

13:27 ↗

I don't remember the movie. Did you watch the movie? Yes, I did. He doesn't know who Aryan Foster is. Who's Aryan? Jody Foster's brother. Oh, yeah, no, I knew that. All right, let's move it. All right, hey, one last bit of news here. We wanted to remind you of our new promotion we have with Fanduil.com. FanDuel's the leader in one-day fantasy sports. Super fun. All of us have played Fanduel before. They pay out over 10 million bucks every single week. It's a lot of cash. It's a lot of money.
