Episode notes

The episode opens on the cardboard bear/Jay Griz-style visual, revisits League of Record heartbreak, and uses poop and emotional language while reviewing studs. It is a particularly strong source for the submission video's Jay Griz framing.

The Raiders are not a shut down defense. You lost Travis Hunter. Come on Brian Thomas Jr. And he has three catches. It's like he has been inside the top 24. I'm not saying like a top five. The top 24 wide receivers on a week once this season. We are way too far into the season to have that be true. And now he's injured. Shoulder injury, which obviously was part of this. He might be the most disappointing player on this season. Yeah, I think he's got to be the biggest bust of the year so far. Going off the top of my head, maybe there's another one, but Parker Washington. That's who you wanted. Eight for 90. Yeah. I mean, we brought up just how gross the replacement name is going to be. Someone has to go fill in for Travis Hunter, and Liam Cohen just, I don't know if it's Cohen. I don't know if it's

Parker Washington was already involved, 27% target share for him this week. Yeah, I mean, 10 targets the last game before the by week, and then nine targets this past week while, yeah, it was very disappointing showing from BTJ. Xavier worthy of the Kansas City Chiefs. He did have seven targets, three for 23. He's going on to the bye week. I'm done. I don't know where you are with Worthy. I would be completely willing. If you need a roster spot, I would be fine to drop him to waivers. At the same time, if he was on waivers, I might scoop him up. But this is Rushie Rice's team primarily. Kelsey hasn't gone away with Rice back. So it will be difficult to have a lot of consistency there for Worthy and going into a buy week where you're going to have to hold him for two weeks to hopefully get something that you probably won't get. I'm fine moving on. Debo Samuel had a down game.

Chris Olava, here's the conversation. This is a tweet from Good Friend of the Show, J.J. Zacharisen. In Tyler Shuck's first start, Rashid Shaheed saw nine targets for a season high, 37.5% target share. Chris Alave saw four targets for a season low of 16.7% target share. The discussion on The Saints was completely around. We don't know what Tyler Shuck will do. Will he come in and Derek Carthus? throw the ball at camara ten times will he feed chris olive their number one assumed number one wide receiver over and over and over and it turned out it was this week at least was rhesheed so uh it was it was definitely chehito ahead of olave that could be the new normal i heard chehito that could be the new normal that could also just shahedos could also just be

That's how this game worked. Like I said earlier, wide receivers are going to have inconsistency. We need more data. And it could flip. But two games, if we got two games of this, I think you'd go to a full panic. Well, the Rams in this game, they completely dominated every aspect. We just talked about how great all of the Rams were. They had the ball so much. My big concern is like, there were 24 total passes thrown. Like, that's not a good enough number, especially, you know, for someone who, like, wasn't Spencer Rattler throwing the ball a ton? Spencer Rattler looking games of 46 attempts, 34, 39, 31, 32. Like, we've got to have more attempts. And one of the things I love about this team is the- They've got to get more production with the attempts to keep the ball. True. The speed at which Kellanmore plays. But I-

I also think part of this was just the Rams. And not the Rams on defense, the Rams on offense, just controlling the game so easily, really did not give a lot of opportunity for anyone. Shaheed was mostly garbage time. Tetero McMillan backed down to a stinker after the 7 for 99 last week, 4 for 46 this week, low scoring game. The identity of the team is Rico Doubtle. So targets. I think they'll be harder to come by. Let's see. What's the schedule here coming up? So we got the Saints, the Falcons, and San Francisco. That's what's on tap here for the Carolina Panthers. Jordan Addison was very disappointing. He had a bomb into the corner, the front corner of the end zone. I thought it was a great ball by J.J. McCarthy, and it seemed like Addison dropped it, so there was a potential for that. J.J. McCarthy, we didn't get to talk about it because it wasn't like a fantasy. It wasn't a fantasy.

stud game. But he was great. He, I believe he had three touchdowns. He had like, he had no yards though. So let me pull up his exact stat line. We got 14 of 25. So we only complete a 56% of his passes, 143 yards to passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown. The he looked better. The completion percentage on paper definitely says it was it was not, but he just he looked more composed. Hopefully better days are ahead for J.J. McCarthy, the Vikings for fantasy purposes because Baltimore, Chicago, Green Bay, Seattle, Washington, Dallas. I mean, like, there is a stretch of games coming up for the Vikings that they should be able to take advantage of. Darno Mooney continues to, like, what happened? Oh, I love to see this. Because of Drake London. Yes, because Pennix was there and Drake London was there. And so I don't want to see some kind of 50-50 split. I want to see you target Drake London over and over because he's way better. And only two targets for Mooney. That's what I want.

60:41 ↗

George. Also, you, you won the game. George Kittle, only four targets. We talked about it might take until Brock Purdy comes back. When will that be? Who knows? It might, but I don't look at it as in, like, I think he takes a big leap up when Brock comes back. But I don't look at this as if with Mac Jones, Kittle can't be good. Last week with Mac Jones, he was very good. Yeah, 43 and a touchdown. Was he know, like the Titan six or something? Yeah. Yeah. But 43 yards is... If you're the sixth best tight in on a week. Yeah, I'm just saying you could do that last week with Mac Jones. Tyler Warren was disappointing. Seven targets, fired for 26. And then Kyle Pitts, who seemed like he was very involved. So it's kind of surprising to see him here, but he was only four for 38. That was Studs and Duds presented by Lowe's. Lowe's knows Sundays are for NFL football. It's going to be a big one. Jason has closed his eyes. I'm just thinking about the CD deck stack tonight. Oh, you are. I need. You're doing the secret. Yeah. Speak it into existence. I need that CD touchdown. I need the stack. I need CD Lamb. Let's, you know what? Two touchdowns. I want your CD Lamb? I want two touchdowns from CD Lamb tonight. Okay. All right. I don't know if you'll get it. Yeah, I probably won't. A reminder, footclane giveaway.com. Signed James Cook, Jersey. Giving her away for completely free. All you got to do is a couple things to help out the show. That is going to do it, ladies and gentlemen. If you need something tonight, I hope you get it. Unless you're Jason, I hope you lose.
