Cindy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright. How's it going, everybody? It is Wednesday, September 16th, and that is kind of a lie, but not really. We are back. We are the fantasy footballers. I'm going to get to it. I'm going to get to it. You just wait. This is the fantasy footballers podcast. We are back again talking fantasy football.

1:45 ↗

We just had a waivers show yesterday and hopefully gave you a lot of names to be paying attention to. If your waiver wire has already gone through this morning, hopefully you have a lot of those guys that you didn't overpay for. Like we said, $100 fab dollars for James Jones. Everybody should have done it, and you should have James Jones on your team now for $100. I'm fabulous. But I got James Jones on all my teams. That sounds like fabulous. Yeah, I'm both. F-A-B-O.

2:14 ↗

I was lying. Hopefully you didn't really do that, but hopefully you have some good starts for this week, and you started off 1-0. And if you didn't, it doesn't matter because you're only 0-1, and it's never over. Your season's not over. You'll be okay. It's never over? The season's never over. The season is never over after week one. Right. Oh, I was going to say that's inaccurate because you could lose. Don't tell that to C.J. Anderson owners right now. Oh. Who are freaking out. Go get them. Calm down. Calm down.

2:43 ↗

If I get one more, should I trade C.J. Anderson for Joey Randall question on Twitter or something. Just chill. He's okay. I hope. We've got a good show for you today. This is our Wednesday show, our mailbag show. We are recording this show late Tuesday.

3:03 ↗

because Wednesday is kind of our one off day of the week. We work the whole week, and obviously on Sunday it is jam-packed, and so we all have families and try to remain part of them by taking Wednesdays off. So we're recording this late Tuesday, and I only say that because if some crazy breaking news happens, and we don't mention it on the show, that's why. We've got a lot of good stuff we're going to talk through today. We're going to take some voicemail.

3:33 ↗

questions from the listeners. We're going to take some mailbag questions and just kind of discuss a lot of people have trade questions right now. And I don't really mind trading this early. I actually kind of like it if you're doing it smart. And the reason being is because of overreactions and because of, you know, being able to identify a few things very early in the season. I mean, we've talked about Tyler Eifford or some of these other players that broke out. It's kind of, you have the opportunity to buy lower,

4:04 ↗

on people. Even players that just broke out, you can buy low on them if you really think that they're going to establish themselves. And there's plenty of first round running backs who kind of pooped their pants this weekend. So there may be a panicking owner with a C.J. Anderson and Adrian Peterson. Lamar Miller. A Justin Fawcett. These are all guys that I would try to acquire for 50 cents for the dollar. Because the other side of the...

4:33 ↗

the equation is a bunch of kind of middle guys or nobody's that had huge weeks. And if you have them on your roster and you take a huge guy like that and you combine them with somebody else and you go after a big fish, like Lamar Miller, literally, if I took Austin Safarian, James, if I had Austin Safarian Jenkins and I had, I know they're not fish, Mike. If I had ASJ and I had. Scientifically accurate jokes, please. Right. And I had like another running back that was kind of, okay.

5:03 ↗

Perfect. Sankey and Asj, you offer that to the Lamar Miller owner. And if he doesn't, you know, if he's panicking or worried, you might steal a fish. A mammal. There you go. All right. So anything else going on, guys? You can find us on the web at the fantasy footballers.com. You could submit questions for the show there. You can also follow us on Twitter at the FF Ballers. You can follow Mike.

5:26 ↗

At the F.F. Hitman. Sorry, did I say, though? You sure did. Throwing that in. At FF. Hitman. You can follow Jason. At Jason FFL. We can congratulate him on his correct prediction about Ryan Matthews. Any dreams last night. If you have any... Unfortunately, with this...

5:43 ↗

Double duty. I haven't been able to dream before tonight's episode. You didn't fall asleep during that Chipotle burrito? I'm going to fall asleep during this show and then I will wake up and tell you who it is. So a normal show. A normal show for you today.

5:57 ↗

Yeah, you can follow me at Andy Holloway. I'll throw my handle in there too. That way, you can make your request for the Fantasy Reaper, which, by the way, I'm being blamed for any injury that has happened across the board. D-Jax, Des, people I've never mentioned. They're my fault. I fully support this. I fully support this from the Foot Clan.

6:13 ↗

And if you enjoy... Sorry, Nick. Sorry, Nick. If you enjoy the show and you want to be a part of our Foot Clan community, go to join thefoot.com. We have some exclusive cool stuff you can do, a way to interact with us. And it's... It's only getting better, too. Yes. Because the more people that are in there, the more you can post a question and people are giving you a response right away. So did you have something else you were going to add to it? It's like a party. Yeah. Well, that's fair. Join thefoot.com. Join the party.

6:42 ↗

All right, let's go ahead and get into the mailbag. Mailbag. Okay, the first question here comes in via voicemail, a familiar voice at that. Yo, yo, yo, it's Tony Meatballs. Did you guys see my dude and Mia Edula? Yeah, so, I'll have a question.

7:11 ↗

Should I drop this fool? Joyckel, maybe for like a Chris Johnson type. I think the timer is up on him. Like it's up on my eggplant parmesan, you know? You know, guys? You know what I mean? Tell your followers, follow me on Twitter. I'm on Sleepabot, too. Thanks for playing that out. I'm schooling all these fools, too. The Joyke Bell type fools.

7:38 ↗

All right, guys. Oh, Tony Meatballs. Oh, you guys another time. Peace. I'm sure you will. And always entertaining. The world can find Tony Meatball just about anywhere. Now, he is broadening him. According to himself right there, it's plural. This is Tony Meatballs. Yeah, it is. I've always wondered that, and I was listening this last time to see. You can never have one Meatball.

8:02 ↗

No. It's not spaghetti and meatball. Speaking of which, I've been to places where that's the way they serve it. That's ridiculous. But it's, it's oversized. It's an oversized single meatball. Okay, well, if it's an oversized single meatball, then give me two oversized meatballs. Just.

8:21 ↗

Oh, you mean two of the same oversized? Yeah, I don't care if it's oversized. Whatever size your meatball is, you give me multiple of them. This brings us back to the same thing yesterday. You showed me that in and out burger that had no bun and how delighted you were. You don't want the pasta. You want the meatballs. That's all you want. If they're covered in cheese. I'll take two meatballs, please. Yeah. All right. Well, I think there was a question. There was. Do we drop Joyc Bell. Don't drop Joyc Bell for Chris Johnson. Yeah.

8:48 ↗

Agreed. This is where you guys jump in and say, yes, of course. That should be, are you questioning? Come on. No, I mean, you absolutely do not drop Joyc O'Bell, and he's going to be fine. As the season goes on, he'll get more work. I was expecting week one for his workload to be about what it was, and I think Abdullah will still be involved, especially in the passing game. He'll be great, good to own, but Joyc will keep getting better. All right, this is another drop.

9:16 ↗

Question. A drop pickup dilemma, as it were. The Sneed. In capital of the free world. The Sneed? Where's the capital of the free world? America. America is the capital of it? I don't know. The capital of the free world, I believe, would be Washington, D.C. Okay. That's where he's writing from. Thanks, Mike. You keep it real there. Just getting geographical. That was two words in one. Should I drop Trey Mason and pick up...

9:41 ↗

David Johnson, currently operating with a running back core of Gore, Stewart, and Morris, and Coleman. It does not matter what your running back core is, I would say do it. That would be my opinion. If I could pick up both of those guys on the waiver, and they were both there, I would pick up David Johnson. I would, because your core, you have other guys, and Trey Mason is not inevitable to be in your lineup. I would do it because the upside of David Johnson longer term is higher, but...

10:10 ↗

Trey Mason still has value to me. I know he was coming off a hamstring. He did warm up, so it looked like he was going to try to play. Maybe he gets in this week. But Benny Cunningham had value against Seattle, and Trey Mason is going to be the guy over Benny Cunningham. And even moving forward, there's no guarantee that Todd Gurley is just, as soon as he's back and healthy, every single down goes to Todd Gurley. No one else gets work. The system in St. Louis has room for two running backs.

10:39 ↗

So I still like Trey Mason. Wow. You have been a staunch Mason supporter. He was good last year. I begrudge that. I begrudge that. I would take David Johnson. All right. A kicker question, guys. Yes. Are you ready for this? Yes. Michael in South Carolina. Is Brandon McManus the real deal in Denver? If Peyton Manning stops throwing touchdowns, yes. And it seems to me like that might be the case. I like Brandon McManus. I would pick him up over.

11:08 ↗

Half the league at least. It's a kicker. It's game dependent. You never know. I mean, how many points did Josh Brown have up in the New York Giants? I think he had about 17 points for me. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, it doesn't take me long to pick my kicker every week off of waiver wires. Because I just point. Okay, that's my guy. Yeah, Gaskowski had four points. I've got to. Yeah, how'd that work out early kicker drafters? Yeah. Josh Brown in your face. In your face. How did the missed extra points work out for people?

11:37 ↗

Hopefully they get negative points because I want kickers out of fantasy football. Wait, why is your solution to getting rid of kickers to, like, disproportionalize their points and make it a disaster for everybody? Why not just take them down and then just make them like muted? That's all I want to do is mute the effect. And I guess... So you subtract a bunch of points if they miss? I'm just, I just want kickers to like end every game with like, this guy was worth a point. My guy was worth two points.

12:03 ↗

Did you just choke a little bit? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Is that the lunchtime? All right, before we get to a Chris Ivory question, I want to remind everybody about that feeling you get when you can get things done with just a click of the mouse. It cannot get more convenient than that. And that is the exact thing you get with Stamps.com. The Foot Clan, we send out gear. We're always sending things to our Foot Clan members, and it is so simple.

12:29 ↗

because I don't have to leave the desk with SAMS.com. It turns your PC or Mac into your own personal post office that never closes. It is the ultimate inconvenience. I can testify to that myself. We have the scale, a free scale that you get sitting right on our desk right in front of me here. You can buy and print official U.S. postage for any letter or package using your computer or printer. Then just hand it to the mailman and drop it in the mailbox. And it's done. It's simple. So listen to this. Special offer right now. Use our promo code, footballers.
