News and notes from Around the League. Well, not a lot happening since Thursday, but Carson Palmer is on the field. I like it. Mike, you like Carson Palmer. I like him very much. Why is it relevant that he's on the field? Why don't you tell everybody? He tore his ACL. Everyone knows that. There is that. You goose. But you're not worried. No, I'm not. If he's already on the field, they said it was a clean tear, everything that we're seeing points to that was a...

true assessment of his injury. He's already doing things on the field. By the time the season starts, he's going to be good to go. Carson Palmer is a quarterback one. Streamer at best. I kind of agree with Jason so far, but we'll see. New York has promoted maybe Ruben Randall to that number two spot, or have they just said that Victor Cruz is not going to be ready to come back?

It's a little bit of both. A little bit of both. Now, Ruben Randall, if you remember, he had a pretty good end of the season. It didn't hurt that O'Dell Beckham Jr. was blowing up, but he made the most of it. Yeah, you'd have to have that other guy to me. And Ruben Randall has just been, there's been an apology to her for his entire career, but his last two games, he finally put it together. And that's part of the reason why I like Eli Manning so much going into the year.

Yeah, that receiving core there is pretty impressive. Mike, do you have any thoughts on Ruben Randall? I just gave them. Oh, Jason. You want to hear him again? They were pretty good. They were very good. No, I think that he will be the number two receiver. I think it's important for us to remember that going into the year. A lot of people have Victor Cruz as like this big bounceback player. I'm just not about it. It's a different kind of injury that...

Well, I just don't think... He sounded like you were talking in the hallways of... I'm just not about that. Football high with your girlfriend is. Victor Cruz can't come back from this, okay? It's just not... No way. I'm not... I'm not getting... Yeah, so... But seriously, like a man, I would say Victor Cruz... I'm not about it. I'm not about it.

I think that's it. We don't need to talk any more about it, for goodness sakes. Yeah, also, the Seahawks re-signed. This is news, Mike? You dropped this in here. They did not re-sign. He signed his tender. Why does this say Seahawks re-signed? Don't ask me. I love the notes. No, no. You copy and pasted them. Yeah, that part I did. All right. One of the things that I've seen people asking a lot is which rookie wide receiver is the guy you want. Because there was a lot of Kevin White hype. A lot of people saw what happened, right? That Kevin White was going to go to the Bears. It's a good spot to land. And then everybody's wisely afraid of the Raiders in all respects in terms of fantasy. So is it Amari Cooper or is it Kevin White? Mike, you go first and then I'll destroy your opinion.

Okay. I thought you were going to corroborate it, but... We'll see. We'll see. I'm going with Kevin White. That's who I want on my team. I understand that Amari Cooper is the number one. And that's if you don't consider Michael Crabtree number one. I forgot he signed there. I'm not sure who doesn't consider him a number one. But the fact that Kevin White is the number two with Jay Cutler as his quarterback,

That's why I like him so much. Alshan Jeffrey has already proven that he is a beast. Now, you got Alshund, what's fun about this to me, Alshan Jeffrey, 6-3-216 runs a 4-48. Kevin White, 6-3, 215, runs a 4-3-5. I mean, they have two dominant forces on the outside in Chicago. And Jay Cutler is a man who does not care.

He will throw it up. There's a one-on-one Kevin White, you go get the ball. And it's impossible for a defense to roll double coverage to Kevin White because Alsh and Jeffrey will just dominate them. And I think it'll be a similar situation where they'll be unable to roll it to Jeffrey because then Kevin White will dominate. Yeah, I like that. And I really do corroborate all your opinions from Chicago. I like Kevin White. But the more that I was thinking about this, and I was a big Kevin White.

fan before the draft. I was hoping you went to Chicago. You went to Chicago. But I really do think Mari Cooper is the guy that you want to take if you're taking the first wide receiver off the board because Carr in Oakland, say what you will about, you know, not wanting to be a part of that offense. He threw the ball a ton last year. For a rookie, he was airing it out and he had absolutely known. His number one receiver to throw to was James Jones.

who they have now cut into the NFL graveyard. So Amar Cooper has been brought in. He's con to heaven. He's con. Yes, if you listen to Tuesday's show. Yeah, poor James. Yeah. So, you know, now you've brought him in to be a clear cut number one guy to an offense that's going to be airing the ball out. And I think there's sky is the limit. The opportunity is just too high. And there's going to be garbage time.

points thrown up there. So whereas, you know, in Chicago, I love Kevin White. I love that match, but you've got Eddie Royal coming in. You've got a new offensive coordinator coming in. But Jay Cutler's still there. Yeah, I just think that the ceiling is much higher on Amari Cooper. And I actually think the floor is higher on Amari Cooper. So I go Cooper. I definitely agree with the floor comment. And I don't think this is an either or proposition. Obviously, I...

proposed it to you that way, is which guy would you take? You're a jerk. But I think both of those guys are going to produce. Mike, I agree with you about Kevin White. However, I think he's going to have big games and some duds because Jay Cutler will have the freedom sometimes to do that. And then Jay Keller is going to have his three interception game when the defense puts him in a hole or they rely on the run game because that's what John Fox wants to do. And so because of him in that number two role,

That's why I like the floor of Amari Cooper, and I believe in David Carr. You guys have heard me say that for a couple shows in a row. For whatever reason, I believe in David Carr. Probably his, he only looks like he has eyeliner on. He does. He looks like a raccoon on the field. Hurling. Isn't that just perfect for the Raiders? It is, and that's perfect for a nickname. We've got to get something with the raccoon. Plus, he's like digging through the trash.
