to the fantasy footballers podcast with your host, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright. Oh, welcome in. It's football time. That's all I got today, guys. Oh, my goodness, if the people only knew which they're about to. Thursday, October 15th, the fantasy footballers podcast.

0:43 ↗

It's a big show, starts of the week, fantasy forecast. On the way, we've got news to talk about. Yeah, we were sitting in here before the show, just talking about life. I've been giving play-by-play on what parts of my body still don't work from the Whole No One challenge, which I just said I just woke up with my hands are swollen. But I'm feeling okay. And...

1:09 ↗

You know, Mike's just, I mean, we're talking. You and I are talking. You know, sometimes we're quiet. Al's talking. Maybe he's looking stuff up, prepping. And he hasn't said a thing. Like, I mean, we got Papa Josh back in the building today in Ducer's Alley. So, you know, his cruise was really short. And so everybody's just going. And then we're just like getting ready to start the show. And Mike has just three little words to say. And the words were, I am deceased. I am. I am dead.

1:38 ↗

I was at a punk rock show last night. Yes. Because this is what we do to grownups. We're like, hey, Wednesday nights. Well, we don't all do it. Why is it on a Wednesday night? Well, I'm saying the show. I didn't choose the date for the show. That's what I'm saying. Why was a punk rock show on a Wednesday? Probably because they're like, it's Arizona. Yeah. Yeah. We'll just swing by there. You get Wednesday. We'll give them Wednesday. So Mike is here in some capacity. I'm good. My voice is.

2:08 ↗

very shredded. Yeah, we did notice that on the, it's football time. That was your weakest performance yet. I, no, that was everything I had. Maybe that was. No mailback today. That wasn't indicative of like your confidence level in the Broncos came through in your voice. Maybe that's. That's happened before. That has happened before. But don't worry, guys. I signed Bo Nicks of the air, of the Denver Broncos. Oh, man. Did you get it? Not a bad signing. Did you get him for zero? I hope he got them for zero. No, I actually paid for him.

2:35 ↗

I'll bet you didn't need to. I didn't need to. But yesterday I tried to get Strout. This is all for, by the way, we got the bye week's coming, right? So I'm a Josh Allen manager, very proud to be. And next week is Josh Allen's buy, and I wanted C.J. Stroud. And I tried to get him at $0 yesterday, and it didn't happen. And then I, lo and behold, I noticed that Bo Nix plays a certain team called the Arizona Cardinals in week seven. It's called a get-right game. Even Mitch.

3:03 ↗

Bo Nix Trubisky or Bo Mitch Trubisky Knicks can deliver against the Cardinals. Got it. So, yeah, well, we'll find out, I think over the course of this year whether the Broncos and Sean Peyton and them are capped by a quarterback. It is a good tip where we're at the point in the season where you need when you're looking at waivers or even after waivers run sometimes, you need to be looking a week ahead. Get a week ahead on some of these things, whether it's defensive matchups or.

3:33 ↗

specifically buy weeks. You can't always, you know, prep for an injury, but you can prep for a buy week. If you know your quarterback, tight end defense is not playing next week and you've got an extra roster spot, you know, sometimes a great defensive matchup is just laying there on the waiver wire because they're playing the bills or whatever this week. So it's like, oh, you know, I've got to drop them. Yeah, you want another one? How about the Jets defense looks pretty bad against the New England Patriots this week in New England?

4:01 ↗

But they're the number eight ranked defense and scoring, and they play Miami at home next week. So you can kind of go, I try to, at this point in the season, never go more than a week ahead. Yeah. Because I'm trying to add, I also want to do things like Jason just did and put a Cyrus Allen on my roster or, you know, add somebody that is Sean Tucker as a backup or Dylan Samson. Mike, you added him yesterday. You want to have flyers and players that can emerge, but doing the bi-week dance one week in a head.

4:29 ↗

one week ahead saves you from the fab spin like i got the jets for nothing because nobody wants them against new england but next week the jets probably go for four five six fab so um that's the plan and we'll see if it works out we've got lots to talk about let's start with the news news and notes from around the league that's the news you thought i said it sounded like you said let's start with the news and i was like well this is let's see what the news is yeah let's see

5:01 ↗

That starts good. It does. DJ Moore not practicing. Oh, I thought Caleb was first. I don't have to do. DJ Moore not practicing. And here's, I want to talk about DJ more for a second because I think he could be a very, very good end of season run into the playoffs league winning type of guy with Josh Allen. But right now you have one good week, week one. Then you had an injury in week two, AC joint spring. Then you had nine points and two points.

5:29 ↗

and then you got hurt and missed, and you got hurt in the two-point game and missed the rest of that game and the last game. He did not practice on Wednesday, and let me give you a little spoiler alert. DJ Moore will not be playing football this week for the bills. Yeah. Zero percent chance. Why? Because the bills are on buy next week. So your window to buy DJ Moore might be a couple of weeks. It's like this week, next week. If you want to take the shot at it, I don't like the recurring shoulder injury. I don't like the fact DJ Moore has a history of being somewhat inconsistent and randomly used. But I do think he kind of represents a buy.

5:58 ↗

No, he definitely does. You won't get him until week eight, but you will get him in week eight. His shoulders should be okay there. And the nice thing is, if you look at his, if you had him, or if you, you know, you're looking at the box score and you see good week, bad week, good week, bad week, the two bad weeks, he got knocked out early in. And, you know, not everybody looks that deep into them. You're like, oh, so he's not that consistent. The only two games he played a full allotment of snaps, he was great.

6:26 ↗

Yeah, yeah, and he has the, you know, you saw this last week. Ken Coleman had every opportunity. He had two targets in the game. So DJ Moore should have a big role. Jeremiah Love, very similar to DJ Moore, dealing with an ankle injury. Now LaFlor says the rest will be vital for him. We want to get his ankle right. He didn't practice Wednesday. That's the rest they're talking about. They might be talking about more than that. I mean, you could have, we'll see what Thursday Friday looks like. We have our injury blitz podcast on Friday with Matthew Betts. It was also the other ankle.

6:56 ↗

I know. He hurt. Well, he's not. He's not been. No, he's, he's not been Jeremiah like at this. This is the same ankle as the one he's been dealing with this time. So this is, so he is dealing with the ankle. He's running out of ankles. Yeah. Yeah. He needs, he needs two more ankles. But the next two weeks are going to be really tough on the road against the Rams on the road against Denver. And then I think great trade for candidate.

7:25 ↗

C.D. Lamb is practicing in full already with the quad injury, so that wasn't nothing. They reported it as a contusion, and this seems to back that up. They had played on Thursday, so you're talking about a Wednesday practice. Almost a week later, he seems to be good. And then some quick hitters for today's matchups. Sequin Barclay, Devante Smith, did not practice Wednesday. Caleb Williams practiced in full on Wednesday. I think he's back. Lamar Jackson did not practice with the ankle. He is not back. It's weird when you get...

7:53 ↗

Did you, you moved him into your starting lineup. I saw that. I did. And was that just kind of like, come on, guy, let's, let's, you can do it. Look at this job you got for me. Um, no, no, it was, it was, um, there was the report that he has a serious shot of playing this week. When you have something come out where it's like, he, there's a really good chance of playing this week. And then you're a did not participate. That just feels fishy to me. That's like, ah, so I, I, you know, I've definitely got to be prepared for him to not play.

8:22 ↗

Quinch on Judkins not practicing with the ankle. Jalen Coker practicing in full. So we're kind of going back and forth here. Did not? Right. Loves me, loves me not. And then Wolverine. Trayvion Henderson was limited on Wednesday with a high ankle. He's a fast healer. From the IR to, he's going to miss a few weeks to limited. And then AJ Brown limited on Wednesday as well, returning from his ankle injury. There is, he's playing this week or next week. That's almost for sure. AJ Brown.

8:51 ↗

AJ Brown, yes. Practice this week will determine whether or not he plays this week. That is a true 50-50 right now. Let's talk starts. Starts of the week. Brought to you by Apple Card. Our confidence plays, players that you should get into your lineup this week. You might be on the edge of do I, don't I, looking for those great matchups, looking for those great opportunities. And starting at the quarterback position, boy, it is a joy.

9:23 ↗

A true treat to have the ability to have one of my, my guys, potentially play football. Caleb Williams is my start of the week. This week, the return of Caleb Williams against the Falcons. Full participant in practice, the game now with his prognosis of being available, is up at a 51.5 over under. You've got Michael Pennix and the Falcons able to score.

9:52 ↗

The Bears defense. That was the what? Hey, look at this. Check this out. So you're going to get a lot of that. Drake London running wild. But you don't need to be told that Drake London is the start of the week. But you might with Caleb Williams. I'm excited. It's a dumb game. The Bears were just embarrassed. They come out with Ben Johnson and his quarterback. And I'm ready to get him back into lineups. Yeah. And hey, check this out. I'm going with Jordan Love.

10:18 ↗

He's just bombing it out. He has the second most 20-yard attempts in the NFL. Oh, and then Dallas has allowed the sixth highest explosive play rate. So this is a perfect matchup. And they've allowed it like they enjoy. They really like giving up their plays. They're two thumbs up. They're out there with the, you know, the airplane. They're also checking it out. Yeah. They're just watch. Oh, check that out.

10:45 ↗

Yeah, look, Jordan loves a great play. He was my number one waiver pickup if he was out there this week and my stream, my start. He'll probably be my start of the week next week as well. His three-run matchup here is fantastic. I'm going with Brock Purdy against the Washington commanders. We finally had a down game for Brock, but I will get him right back in there. Don't let that keep you down. The commanders dead last and schedule adjusted points to the position.

11:12 ↗

and at home over the last two years, Brock Party is just an absolute beast. So it's just a reminder. It was one week. This will happen. Getting back in. All right. I'm going to do something that I wouldn't have imagined doing a few weeks ago, but Marshawn Lloyd is the start of the week for me this week. You're going to hear a few players from this Dallas Green Bay matchup. The run was fun.

11:34 ↗

Where he trucksticked that guy, but we're going to the start of the week. Also had a, well, look, this is a real decision for people. Oh, it is. It's spicy. Like, let me give you an example of a decision that I have to make. I have to start Marshal Lloyd or Jeremiah Love.

11:49 ↗

Now, that decision I made it wrong. I made it wrong last week. It cost me. I lost by a point in that league. So are you saying that this week you would start Marshawn Lloyd over Jeremy? I would. Yeah, I'm very concerned about that ankle, and I love the matchup against the Cowboys. You just talked about, you know, the Cowboys, they give up big plays. They also like to let people run the ball against them. They've allowed the most rushing yards in the league and the most schedule adjusted points to the position. If you look at the box score last week,

12:14 ↗

Caleb Johnson, right, with the opportunity of no Chris Brooks, he had seven carries, didn't record a touch until the fourth quarter. You brought this up earlier in the week. He was not the plan. Marshall and Lloyd was the only plan at running back. And guess what? When you can throw the ball deep, when you can keep teams honest with, you know, back out there, you know, the linebackers and the safeties and keep people off the line of scrimmage, you're going to give opportunities to Marshall and Lloyd scored twice last week. He's not a great player, but he's good enough to beat the Cowboys. I'm going with Lloyd this week. Most are.

12:43 ↗

Most are. Yes. Oh, and yours is spectacular. Oh, dude. Never thought these words would come out at your mouth. The round mound of touchdown. Touchdown. Ramandre Stevenson.

12:55 ↗

is a great start this week. The Patriots offense has figured it out. They looked terrible to start the year. They lost A.J. Brown unexpectedly, and it took him a while to figure it out. But they figured it out. 29 points, 43 points. The offense is humming. I know Trevo Wolverine is practicing in a limited fashion, but he's not going to be fully healthy. If he's active, there's a chance he's not active. And in week one, without Trevo, 85% of snaps, 18 carries six targets against the Jets. He's pretty much a must start this week. Mike?

13:24 ↗

And we're sticking with the volume, man. We're going to pump it up. Is Braylon Allen in the exact same game against the Patriots? Breece Hall still did not practice on Wednesday. I'm guessing that he will be out yet again, hence the start of the week. But Brailleen Allen, for those, like if you don't have Brailleen or you're just not paying attention to what's going on, the last two weeks.
