Welcome to the show, everybody. It is the fantasy footballers podcast. It is Tuesday, June 9th. I'm Andy Holloway. I'm joined by Mike, the Fantasy Hitman Wright, and Jason Moore. What's going on? Party people. It's going to be a very good show today. I'm feeling good. My quick question for the day, however, is, Jason, are you okay? Oh, man, it's been a rough day.

Rough day yesterday. How much can you share? Yeah, well, this is going to be a clean show, but yesterday I spent all of the day in my bed, with the exception of all the minutes I was not in the bed, I was in front of or on a toilet. No, no, boy, no. Stuff in the streets. Not good. So, guys, during this podcast, I would not kiss me on the mouth.

Just for your own sanity. That's going to be tough. I'll hold back just today, though. All right. Do we have final word on the Tana Hill, Cam Newton, uh, fantasy faceoff? I did not do a final calculation. I assumed you would have if you thought you won. Well, yeah, I did. I just don't have the final count. It was pretty. I stopped counting. It was pretty split, though. I mean, it wasn't overwhelming. It was. And, you know, Jason cried at me all week about not getting enough air time for his side of the story.

You felt like Mike had more time than you. Do you want to finish anything about Cam? Well, yeah. Here's where I'm going to finish. I'm going to finish at the end of the year on top. And then everyone can just be like, oh, Jason won. So hashtag Jason won at the end of the year, because that's what it matters. That's good. We got a good show. We're going to walk through Mike's initial rankings. He updated those today. So we just can ask him some questions. We're just going to ask him some questions. And he's going to answer.

About Cam Newton. Tanahill is better, he says, wrongly. If you read my review, I will make my team the double stuffed Oreos and give all the credit to you guys when I win my league. Well, the double stuffed Oreos. Boom. You've been named. You have been named. I couldn't help, but. Yeah, you just wanted to throw me under the bus right there. Well, there was, yeah, it was double. There was a double meaning. I wanted his team name the double stuff Oreos, and I wanted you to have to read what his comment was. Well, the title was double stuffed.

He's got it going. Good job, Montoya. Were you awake enough to get your Game of Thrones on? Yes. That's true. I still did get my Game of Thrones on. I mean, nothing's going to get in the way of that. Yeah, well, true story. And we'll save the spoilers for Thursday. I know we save the spoilers till Thursday. And I won't spoil anything here, but I hate Stannis. Whoa, whoa. No, I'm just saying. Just in general. No, that's cool. That's just my opinion on a man. Whoa.

Could I say that I love Denarius? Yeah, that's fine. So why can't I say I hate Stairs? Everyone loves Denarius. Yeah, that's a... But I hope he gets Ramseyed. That's all I'm saying. Oh, man. Oh, man. Marty McBride. That's in our news, right? Uh, okay. No, it's not news that he worked out in the offseason, Mike. No, here's the news. Here's the news real quick. I'm pulling an audible and I'm throwing it in. All right, go ahead. Martavis Bryant has added 10 pounds of muscle to his physique. No. Are you with me on this, Jason? I'm mostly with you on this, man. Although the picture. That's fine. That's fine. News I like to hear. Wide receivers have put on muscle.

Running backs have lost weight. Those are things that I really like to hear. And Martavis Bryant, that was the one knock on his game, was maybe he's too frail. Not physical enough? Yeah, because in the NFL, there's really not many guys who can completely pull away from the defense because everyone in the NFL is fast. You have to be able to go up and outbody people and get the catch. And 10 pounds of muscle is going to help.

Marty McBride be a boost. Yeah, you have him, speaking of your rankings, I believe you had him 17. Is he that high now? He is. You have him 17 on your wide receiver ranking. No shame with that. I had lots of questions about your rankings, and I almost brought that one up. Went up a spot per pound is how he tallied that. Pretty much. Another rookie, the rookie of the year last year, O'Dale Beckham Jr. We talked about him on Thursday, having maybe some hamstring troubles. Now the report is that he may be shelved until.

Training camp. Gross. Gross. It's not what you want to hear. A guy who missed the first few games last year, obviously he was exceptional when he was on the field. And if he's healthy, he's great. But this is exactly why a month and a half ago, when we went through our wide receiver rankings the first time, we were all holding back on him. So would you subscribe to this logic? If somebody says...

Well, but Andy, he missed the first few games last year and then came on and finished as the number three. So what if he, even if he misses the first three games this year? Because basically, if you could draft him last year knowing he's going to miss the first few games, wouldn't you still? I would tell that person they're an idiot. Why? Because that's just, it happened one time, and injuries aren't repeatable in the exact same form every single time they happen. And, I mean...

I see the same kind of logic, I guess, with something like, oh, you know, Eddie Lacey, he had a couple concussions and he came on strong, but you don't kind of, you know, roll the dice that many times and succeed. And I just don't want the fear of, I mean, I'm not saying I'm not drafting an ODB. I'd love them on my team. Everybody would. But when you compare risk of certain players, do I want...

Demarius Thomas? Yeah, do you want someone with an injured hamstring or someone with not an injured hamstring? And he might be fine. He probably will be. All the reports are saying, oh, you know, he'll be fine for camp. But two off seasons, two hamstring injuries. I'm just bringing it out. And we need to pay attention to it because if you're making a decision now, you know, between a Demarius Thomas and a ODB as a keeper, I don't know. I'm leaning the side of health. I hate having guys go down. No, I agree.

That with the hamstring issue, that is a big problem. We saw what happened with the Arian Foster MRI, if we remember this. He tweeted out the picture of the lack of awesome or whatever. I don't remember what he called. Yeah, I remember that. Yeah, he got a little heat for that. Yeah, he did. But it just hamstring issues, they keep coming back and they keep coming back. Titans News, Marcus Marriota is looking good. I bring this up because we did have a question that a listener wrote in about kind of how we view Marcus Marietta.

They said he impressed with arm strength, impressed with his confidence running the offense. I mean, it's a better report than rookie came in and looked like Gino Smith from last year. So what is the fantasy value of Marcus Mariotta? He's because he has upside because of his legs, but it's hard to really believe that Ken Wisenhunt can take a talent like that and just change his entire system to fit that guy.

I can't remember the stat I was telling you guys. I was just about to ask you, what is the win-loss of... I was in high, I don't have it right in front of it. Three and twenty-five. Is that what it is? Yeah, that's what it is. He's three and twenty-five. Is that what it is? He's three and twenty-five. That's preposterous. I think Marietta has very, very little... I mean...

He has no value in a redraft league. I don't think that there's any chance that he puts up good numbers on the Tennessee Titans as a rookie under Ken Wisenhunt. That's my view. Maybe in a dynasty he can develop into something, but even before this year's draft, I pretty much was down on Marriota just based on his skills unless he went to the Philadelphia Eagles. You don't see Tebow-type value? No, Mr. Runner?

Marriota's got running value. Oh, so now we're on the opposite sides. I'm asking you. No, I don't think he... He's saying you're on the same side because you're all for Cam. What's the difference between Cam Newton and Marcus Marriott? That Cam Newton is going to be able to run for 650 yards and... You think Mario... Six, seven touchdowns this year, and I don't think Mariotta will. Hmm. That's what I'm saying. Interesting. And also, the news out of a camp that says that they're number two picked...

quarterback is impressing is not news and comes out every year. It came out last year from the Jaguars. I mean, Blake Bortles is looking great in camp. Well, of course. Of course you're going to say that. I got a sleeper alert here for you. I brought this out in the news because I wanted to talk about him a little bit because somebody in the Saints offense is going to contribute because they've lost Jimmy Graham. They've lost Kenny Stills. And so it looks like Nick Toon.

has the front runner, you know, he's the front runner to serve as the number three this year behind Colston, behind Cooks. And, you know, Colston's getting up there a little bit. Breeze knows how to sling the ball. I think there's value with whoever plays that position. So I just wanted to bring his name to the surface a little bit because he's had a lot of potential in years past, but it's been a volume issue because he just can't get on the field enough. He'll come on on the field, he'll make a couple plays and he's off the field again. Now, Nick Toon, I'm trying.

The memory's a little foggy. Was he the guy who got cut last year? No. He was not. No, no, no. Okay. No, he's not. Because there was that when Peyton went insane and they were having the meetings and he was having the one-on-one meetings and somebody got cut right there and he got re-signed eventually. No, I don't think that was him. Okay. I mean, I'll look dumb if it was, but I don't think it was. You can check on that. I'll try and look.
