We try to get to as much as we possibly can. And hopefully we help you out through the podcast and through Twitter and through the questions. And you're having a successful year so far. So let's go ahead and get into the rewind. Weekly rewind. Well, if you replace Aaron Rogers with Carson Palmer, I got some bad news for you. We need to have a like a full on wake for the Arizona Cardinals. Because it's done. It's done. I think a lot of people thought they were done.

140 passagespreviously. That's fine, but they were still putting, Carson Palmer still putting up points. Larry Fitzgerald was still putting up points. But this, this is it. I want, I want nobody on the Arizona Cardinals. Maybe Adrian Peterson is still fine as a, that running back two, running back three in the correct matchup, but really no. I mean, Bruce Ariens has already committed to Drew Stanton for some reason. There's been, there's years of evidence.
That says that's a bad idea. And at least see if Blaine Gabbitt or someone else can get it done. But John Brown, it's over for this year. Fitz. It's hopefully you were able to cash in. You might still be able to cash in on Fitz's number four ranked fantasy value before this week. I think you might still be able to do that. I would be trying. I would try to catch in on him. I try to cash in on Adrian Peterson, the name. And half of his weeks have been great.
But, yeah, I don't see any fantasy goodness, especially predictable, startable production coming from the Arizona Cardinals' offense at all. And their offense is going to be so bad that their defense will be bad as well. Even though they've got the playmakers to get things done when the offense is never able to stay on the field, I don't care how good your D is. The other team is going to get great field position and they're going to score. After the Drew Stanton pick, you could just visually see.
The defense went, well, well, this game's over. And that was in the first half. And if you watch the press conference, Arian seems quite committed to Drew Stanton. It's an unfortunate situation. Cool story, bro. Here's an injury that may have a positive upturn for the fantasy value of those involved. Jake Cutler diagnosed with cracked ribs will miss week eight. Matt Moore came in, let a comeback, got Kenny Stills involved. I know we'll talk about him later, right, Mike? Certainly. So.
implications of Matt Moore coming in. Do you expect to see an uptick in production from the offense? Do you think JJ will benefit from this situation? I think the whole offense will benefit from having a quarterback that's able to get the ball downfield. Right now, I think it would be very hard.
to study the film of last year's Matt Moore, this game Matt Moore, and this year's Jay Cutler, and for that matter, last year's Jay Cutler, and say that Jay Cutler is the better quarterback. That would be difficult to actually make me believe. So I think that this is beneficial for the entire team. There will definitely be question marks. I mean, you know, Kenny Still's got the big bump, but Devante Parker wasn't there. Sure. So is Devante Parker take a...
Downgrade, Knaz Stills up or down, Jarvis Landry up or down. But as a whole, I think the dolphins will score more points, which will benefit just about everybody. Mike Wallace, concussion, Delaney Walker, low ankle sprained, C.J. Procise cannot stay healthy. A sprained ankle in week seven. I didn't even see him on the field to get a sprained ankle, but he did. Wow. Dan Bailey was forced from the game of the groin injury. There's a chance that he misses time.
And if that happened, they'd, you know, the Cowboys replacement kicker. They had to use some positional players. Yes, there is nothing more entertaining than watching people who aren't kickers. Out of position. Out of position have to attempt that kick. Because when you're so used to seeing just the kick that just goes, right? You know, and when you see like what it would look like if I kicked and they go, oh, that's fun to watch. Marshaun Lynch would say they need to call Tony Danza.
The garbage pick and field goal kicking? No, you guys never saw that one? No. Oh, man. Tony Danz is a- I got you, Mike. Yeah, Brooks. Tony Dan, it's like a Disney movie or something. He's a, he's a garbage man, and they just find him kicking things like in the dump, and he becomes the kicker for the Eagles. Oh, man, it's incredible. Why are all those movies always the Eagles? Why is Tony Danza involved in all of these stories? He was in Angels in the Outfield, too. You got to check it out. I mean, if you want to have one of those bad movie nights.
Garbage picking, field goal kicking. Philadelphia Phenomenon. Pick it up. That's the name of the movie. That's the name of the movie. Philadelphia Phenomenon. They had to add that in. That sounds like something that as a small shot I would have grabbed at the blockbuster. Yep. You certainly would have. For 99 cents. Keep it for a month, they say. On the Delaney Walker injury, we'll wait and see how bad it is, but it looked. It didn't look. It looked pretty bad on the, on the field. And Jono smooth.
Oh, certainly. If Walker's going to miss time, yeah. I'm going to pick him up. Leonard Fournett was a surprise no play. Oof. Not to this guy. Yeah, I guess he wasn't a full. I mean, we told you get Chris Ivory, rotate Chris Ivory in, who started great, finished poorly. Thanks to T.J. Yeldin doing his dancing. But Fournette missed the game because they have the buy week next week. So I think they wanted to just give him time. And they won. So they made the right call there, unless you're a fantasy owner of Leonard Fournette.
Stefan Diggs didn't play. No Sterling Shepard. We were expecting him to maybe suit up. They gave him the same type of situation, right? They're on the buy next week, and they gave him an extra week. He's somebody to target, I think, on the buy. We've talked a lot about Shepard. They need a lot of help in the wide receiver core. And I think he'll help Evan Ingram, and he'll be the primary target rest of the season. I don't see how he doesn't get near double-digit targets every game. Yeah, he will. And for fantasy, that's all you can hope for. Willie Sneed didn't play.
Still banged up. Terrence West didn't play. So Marchon Lynch got a one game suspension for the unsports. What was he doing? That was just plain dumb. What are you doing, Marshawn? He was raidering. I mean, that's, hey. No? No. I'm just saying they've got this attitude like, you know, like the black hole. Yeah, exactly. We're tougher than you.
Exactly. You're tougher. And then he goes in the stands afterwards and is, you know, and then rides the train home. He was, that's classic. I mean, if they hadn't won and that train video came out, I'd be like, yeah, let's cut. But I mean, to run from the sideline, you know what's going to happen. Yeah. You know what's going to happen. But so he's the pickup. So he's got a game. Yeah, okay, that's fair. I would pick up Washington personally. I think you're 100% like.
There are situations. Like, if you have to tell me to pick somebody, I'm going to take Jail and Richard. I think it is a 100% coin flip. It's whichever running back ends up with the receiving touchdown of the day. You know, it's not a likely situation where I'm excited about either of these players for next week. But if you need a spot start, I would go Jail and Richard. Mike will go DeAndre Washington and that tells you everything you need to know about the situation. I think they're both fine, fine spot starts. What they both have about, I mean, I know Richard had about 10 points.
Washington got the touchdown. Yeah, DeAndre Washington had a touchdown. He ended up with, let's see here. Yeah, 12.4 in our league, 9 for 33 in a touchdown. It's, I think it'll be a time share. Yeah. And so just pick your favorite guy. Pick your favorite. It is against Buffalo, who's been pretty stingy on the ground. So I'm not sure I would be necessarily all over these guys. But we're going to talk entirely, you know, tomorrow's episode.
Entirely waiver centric. So make sure you stick around and we'll have more data for you on that. Before we move on with more news and notes, I want to thank pristine auction. All right, let's talk about some of the studs this week. Dak Prescott, he was a stud we expected, dominated the 49ers. Derek Carr, that's a stud we didn't expect. No. 29 for 52, 413 and 3 touchdowns. I think he's going to be a big waiver wire pickup this week. Should he be, though, with Buffalo coming up in Buffalo, is he a trap if you're reading into these points chasing the points?
I don't think he's, I don't think he's necessarily a trap. I mean, coming into the season, he was my number seven ranked quarterback. He's gotten it done. He's shown that he can. The issue with him has been difficult matchups, especially the difficult matchups that are in division.
which was one of these games last week. I think we were. We rag on him a lot for the divisional. But he got it done this past week going, you know, on the road now without Marshawn Lynch, which I'm not even sure that that's a downgrade for them as an offense right now. It's going to involve the passing game a little bit more. And the offensive line seemed to protect him a little bit better this week. So I think Derek Carr, I don't think he's a trap.
It's all about what do you believe in Amari Cooper? Do you think that that was the breakout moving forward? Amari Cooper is good to go. Now, they did finally move Amari Cooper around. He played in the slot this past week, more than he had done previously in the season. And you saw it pay dividends. They were able to get him evolved early.
There was a game plan. I mean, you can't watch that and say anything other. There was a game plan to say we have to have Amari Cooper be a valuable asset. They targeted him left, right and center. They moved him around. 19 targets. That's Antonio Brown levels. So I think that it was a breakout, not in the sense that, oh, Amari Cooper got his head right and he looked great. Andy tweeted out, which was true in the beginning of that game.
He was having a great game. He's still looking bad, you know, dropping some passes that hit him right in the helmet. But the reality is if they are forcing the issue, it's going to be successful because he is a talented athlete, a very great route runner. And, yeah, I mean, that's part of trusting Derek Cars is being able to trust Amari Cooper. Are we ready to trust Josh McCown at home against Atlanta after he went 17 for 27 for 209 and 3? Costly turnover, but.
I don't care about the cost of turn. He was a great stream this week, and now he plays Atlanta. What do we think? I think he will be a perfectly fine streamer. He's put together quite a few decent games and this rag tag group of wide receivers. I mean, Germain Curse, he is just coming through big time for the New York Jets. So yes, for the streams, Josh McCown is absolutely worth a thought for next week. Big road game for Russell Wilson. A lot of deep shots taken in that game. They got the offense figured out a little bit.
