This segment every week, we're pumping the brakes on somebody that maybe stood out the week before that you're excited about and we're saying, hey. Maybe the matchup is rough. Just tap the brakes. Jason Watson. Jason said to Sean Watson. The breaks went out and over the, over the cliff he went. The good news is you never have to do that again. No, never, never again. Yeah, so I am going to, I'm going to bring you Paul Richardson. And I know that I think maybe both of my co-hosts here disagree with me on this one.

Paul Richardson had a monster week. He had 25 and a half points last week, a couple of touchdowns, was heavily involved. This is a week that I think you need to, I mean, I'm not saying you don't put Paul Richardson on your roster, but I said this yesterday. For one, Russell Wilson was otherworldly in this game. You're talking 450 plus.

yards passing. This was a shootout extraordinaire. And I think that the passing targets on that team, I mean, it's just going to be a bit of a crapshoot with Richardson Lockett, Graham, Baldwin. While this is a passing team, I don't know how much you can trust him to give you this type of performance. And so because of that, I think you need to pump the brakes on starting him. I just think it's going to be a week-to-week situation.

And Richardson, while he's had a pretty good year. He's had a pretty solid year, especially considering the early on in the year he had that giant laceration. What did the finger problem? Yeah, I think he dislocated a broke finger. What it comes down to is look, week eight last week against Houston, first week of the season, he had more than four receptions. First time since week one, he had more than three receptions.

So that's what it comes down to, a volume differential there. He may get in the end zone, but that's what's provided his only value. Eight fantasy points, one touchdown, 10 fantasy points, one touchdown, single digits, and then one touchdown in week seven. I am pumping the brakes on Paul Richardson, if you're expecting what you got last week. Yeah, I don't think you can expect what you got last week. If for no other reason, then part of what happened last week for Seattle was the fact that Deshaun Watson.

and the Houston Texans were able to keep up and just keep scoring. And so Russell had to come back and keep, you know, airing it out, trying to get back at Watson. Like, no, you, you're down. But I think volume is a really good point and the volume hasn't been there. The only reason I would disagree with you at all, Andy, is because you can get them off of waivers. So it's, you know, this is like Doug Baldwin, there's an issue now with volume because it's spread around in Seattle.

and you drafted him high. Paul Richardson is like, okay, buys are here. Maybe I could pick him up and take a good shot there. But, you know, I see both sides of it. I'm also going to go to the volume argument for my pump the brakes on Alshan Jeffrey. He's too loud. He's far too loud. Turn him down. Turn him down a little bit. Alshan Jeffrey. That's the Brooks problem. Brooks is just so loud. Right, Brooks? Yeah.

Perfect. So Alshan Jeffrey, right now, Paul Richardson last week, six receptions. That's great. Four receptions in week one. It has been six weeks since Alshan Jeffrey has had a six reception game. In fact, if you look at the last five weeks, that's most of the weeks. Yeah, which is most of the weeks. Actually, five of the last six weeks, he has had three receptions or less or fewer, I should say. Nice, thank you. You know,

The last two weeks, he's only had two receptions. You can't bank on a guy that is getting that low of volume. And now he goes to Denver. You might look last week, two receptions, but it was for 62 yards and a touchdown. You had a great week out of him. He caught a bomb. He caught a bomb. And a lot of scoring formats, you're going to get an extra bonus for being over a certain amount. So I don't think you could start Elshon Jeffrey this week with that low of volume. Denver.

They're at home just to clarify. You said he's going to Denver. Well, he's going to face Denver. There we go. All right. I'm going to pump the brakes. This was almost a, uh, uh, Mike special of just taking an entire offense and squashing them beneath my giant boot. But, but, but I'm just has one giant boot. Yeah. The other one is regular size. Yeah. No, that makes sense. Totally. That's why I just walk in circles. That's why you're on tilt. Yeah, always always why I walk in circles.

All right. I'm going to punt the brakes on Jameson Crowder. Uh, monster, monster week, but before that is high on the season was six for 52. He hasn't had more than three receptions since week three. And unfortunately those those Deshawn Watson flames, those are non-transferable. Right. Only one person may own the Deshawn Watson flame similar to Highlander. So Kurt Cousins going up into Seattle. I'm not very excited to, uh,

to watch that or play him in my fantasy league. And similarly, the pass catching options for Washington, I'm just, I'm not very excited to play them either. That's reasonable. In Seattle, it's a tough place to play. Last week was an outlier situation. Yes. That being said, I agree with the James and Crowder one week pump. Do you think that, do you come back to James and Crowder the week after with Jordan Reed's limitations? It's very possible.

Okay. Like, oh, we got to see what he can do. Let's see if we can get back to back anything. But I'm highly skeptical, highly doubtful that James and Crowder will. And I thought of this, Jason. We had, we had talked about this earlier, but guys who bet on themselves, Alshan and Terrell Pryor, they're losing the bet. Yeah. I wouldn't say Alshan's losing the bet, but he's not having an otherworldly year. Right. But when you go one year.

When you take a one-year deal on yourself, you're betting that you're going to have a great year so you can go to a monster contract. He's not going to get a monster. I think Alshan will absolutely get a monster contract. You do? 100%. Okay. Alson Jeffrey is helping a team to 7-1. Trell Pryor is not helping a team at all to whatever, you know. He's keeping the bench warm. Yeah. And that doesn't get you paid. Paul Richardson, Altson, Jeffrey, Jameson, Crowder are that pump the brakes candidates for this week.

How do you open the box by hurting your passing game where now people can stack the box? I mean, Devin Funches is now, let's start with the panther side of this trait. You lose Calvin Benjamin, and I think a narrative is that the passing game or the running game.

slash passing game with Christian McCaffrey will get even more work. And it's true. I mean, Christian McCaffrey's target totals are almost locked and loaded. But he's been, and I say this nicely, a terrible running back. Yeah, as a runner. He's dead last. Pro football focus ranks him dead last in yards after contact. As a running back, the eighth pick in the draft, he's been atrocious. Jonathan Stewart hasn't been efficient to the point where.

Cameron Art's pain was getting wraps. Well, we know the problem. It was Kelvin Benjamin's fault. Get rid of Kelvin. Open up that running lane. I mean, Kelvin Benjamin's so big, you could have put him on the O line to help the running game. So they ship him off, and now Devin Funches. So what is Devin Funches' rest of season?
