We're hoping that this week your boom-boom kicker does not instantaneously go on IR. Yeah, that's helpful.

3:44 ↗

Just because his production goes way down traditionally when that happens. The evolution of the boom boom segment. Just this year alone is a thing to behold. Forward thinking. Yeah. Industry changing phenomenon. That's what I would describe it as. Boom. All right. If you want to follow the show, you can do so on Twitter at the FF Ballers. So thanks to fantasy champs for helping us out with that giveaway. Quick question of the day, guys. What are some tips to pulling an upset in the playoffs? Lots of people who snuck into the playoffs. Maybe they...

5:34 ↗

Maybe they're coming up against a more difficult opponent. Are there any tips here or is the answer just be happier playing fantasy football? I'd say my number one tip, which we've been talking about this, is the little positions in the playoffs are even more important and you've had time to prepare for them. Those defensive special teams pickups that we've been talking about saying stash a few extra. Look at the matchups. This isn't week three.

6:03 ↗

where the data on the DSTs is not the most accurate and most reliable because you only have two weeks. You have almost an entire season's worth of information now to base your defensive matchups. So now is the time. If you haven't yet, you got to do it now. If you're going into week 14 right now, plan like you are going to be in the championship week. Yeah, I would also say, look, if you're the underdog, you snuck in.

6:32 ↗

You're a low seed. That usually means you're playing the high seed. You need to essentially swing for the fences. This is where the time of the year where you don't just grab a guy to stash him, wait and hold. You might grab a guy and say, look, I'm just, Josh Gordon, perfect example. Hey, last week, first week, it looked like he was going to be the number one target. He's got a good matchup coming up this week. If this were week two in the NFL season or week five, I would be saying, you know, I'm not.

7:02 ↗

100% bought in that he is going to be that number one target, you know, just every single game. But now it's like, throw them in. Don't get enamored with the bigger names that have let you down. If you're the underdog, go for those players who are fresh, are new, have a good matchup. And you can string together victories like that. Do you avoid as the underdog players that you don't deem capable?

7:31 ↗

Of giving you a ceiling? Of giving you points that are rising like Bitcoin. Well, nothing's rising that fast around. But like Mike Wallace, right? Mike Wallace on the year has no fantasy games above 14 fantasy points. Yeah, so Mike Wallace is a good example of someone that maybe you wouldn't use because you don't have that. Now, I would be willing to start a guy who might not have the crazy...

7:56 ↗

ceiling if he had a secure floor. So like, you know, someone like a Duke Johnson, if you're in that poor, you know, snuck into the playoff role and you need to fill a flex with kind of a guy that usually is going to be around 9, 10 points, I'd be willing to do that even though I don't think he has the crazy upside. But Mike Wallace, he doesn't have a floor. His floor is...

8:20 ↗

Oh, he just didn't get targeted this game. And so he's, you know, got zero points. It's the parking garage underground. It's, it's the basement. The nice thing is, is anybody can win. Look, one week, one set of matchups. We'll preview the games. We'll try to give you the hidden gyms this week that might get you that sneaky matchup. Guys, I have a secondary question. When are we going to stop doubting Larry Fitzgerald and fantasy football? The seventh ranked fantasy football wide receiver on the year.

8:47 ↗

Case you're curious, Antonio Brown, DeAndre Hopkins, Tyreek Hill, Kean Allen, A.J. Green are the top five. Yeah, I mean, it is crazy because people still doubt them. People still don't play them. And I would say someone, one of the three of us, should make them our start of the week this week. Oh, wow. Genius. I, look, I will take those lashes that I, when Carson Palmer went down, I thought that this was the end, the beginning of the end for Larry Fitzgerald. You had.

9:15 ↗

You had Drew Stanton, who was just gross, right? His play on the NFL field is gross. The fact that it went to Blaine Gabbard gave me a little bit more hope after the Stanton injury. But I really, I thought Larry was done. I wanted to trade him wherever I had him. I thought he was going to have to retire. Well, not have to, but I thought he would choose to retire at the end of the year. But now he is resigned for next year. So I, man, I was.

9:44 ↗

I was wrong on Larry. I apologize to you, Larry. Alvin Camara is now past Cream Hunt on this season. He has two points better per game on the season than the Kareem Hunt first half. It's unbelievable. It's funny. The second half is worth just as much as the first half. One might argue more. Yeah, one. If you're in the playoffs, it actually is worth more. Assuming the first half doesn't kill you. All right, let's go ahead and jump into some more news. News and notes from around the league. All right, I'm going to start with.

10:18 ↗

The headline this morning, Mark Ingram's supposed to play today. Okay. Mark Ingram took a couple days off. We didn't know whether that was a good or bad sign because of the game being on Thursday. Right. It looks like they were just giving him some time to recover. And it was a toe injury. Yes. Same as, you know, Antonio Brown was dealing with a toe injury. He did. Did you see the picture of his toe? Yeah. I did not. Oh, my goodness. I assume it was not a pleasure to look at. No, no. It was like swamp monsters.

10:48 ↗

foot i mean it was a it wasn't good no that that's not good yeah when the when the news broke this morning that it was official that mark ingham was expected to i didn't have my glasses on and i was not sure which way it was going i was like oh no is it because i've got a lot of ingram stock so i'm happy that he's going to be out there tonight do you remember that swamp thing you make my heart sing no no no no

11:12 ↗

Swamp Thing. No. There was a TV show called Swamp Thing. Yes. You make everything. There is a superhero Swamp Thing. That's what I'm talking about. I had an action figure and the arm would stretch really long. No, he is one of the playable characters on the new DC fighting game. You can use Swamp Thing. Justice? Yeah, Injustice too. Yeah, my youngest, Swamp Thing is his favorite character. He just sits there and he just mash his one button.

11:41 ↗

I just remember having the sweetest Swamp Thing toy as a kid. Yeah. Swamping was, Swamping and what, Toxic Crusader. You won't. All right, Amari Cooper has cleared the concussion protocol, but did not practice on Wednesday. Remember that Cooper is also coming back from an ankle injury. Right. So this is not a guarantee that he actually plays. Right. Now, you could have a situation where.

12:03 ↗

Crabtree and Cooper rejoined the wide receiver core this week in a juicy matchup against the team that gives up the most. This was the Cooper game. Big plays in football, the Kansas City Chiefs. You're right. It was the Cooper game. On top of that, Marcus Peters, kind of their stud cornerback has been suspended by the team for launching the rev flag into the crowd. All right. The Browns have fired their general manager, Sashi Brown.

12:33 ↗

and have confirmed that Hugh Jackson will remain in return for the 2018 season and will not be fired. So that is the direction they're going. We're going to strengthen personnel. They're going to give Hugh Jackson another year. It'll be interesting to see what Hugh Jackson can do with Gordon and Coleman in another year. We'll see. All right, Will Fuller, they hope he'll return this week. You can't start him because John Watson's not the quarterback. Doug Martin was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.

13:01 ↗

Mike, how does that make you feel with that Peyton Barber pick up yesterday? My pickup of Peyton Barber yesterday was more long-term thinking of if they do cut Doug Martin in the off season, which I think is a, there is a chance that that happens. As far as using Peyton Barber this week, you can't. Yeah, not if Doug Martin is back. Yeah, I still think that Barber will be worked in this week, which is going to eat into Doug Martin kind of being.

13:29 ↗

the primary guy. So I think that the time share will be closer, but you can't do anything. It feels to me like you... You can panic flex, barber, I guess, but I would avoid that. Yeah, I wouldn't do that. I would more panic flex, Doug Martin, but I, in my, my hopes would be to play no Tampa Bay running back. Him coming back hurts the fantasy situation all around. Chris Hogan returned to practice. If you remember weeks two through five, Hogan had...
