to the fantasy footballers podcast with your host, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright. Welcome in the fantasy footballers October 5th, Monday episode of the show. Should have a fun football game this evening. The level of restraint and character that I just...

exuded for you, gentlemen. You have no idea. Really? What happened? It should have been Shuck Daddy time. But I held it back. You are... You were going to do that? I wanted to do it. I bet you would have done it if our matchup was closer. Maybe. Because that thing is over. Yeah, I thought maybe... I thought I'd be really stressed for Monday Night Football with you with Bijon and Tyler Shuck, but one Jamar Chase concussion. One Marcus Mariotta leaving in the...

like the very beginning of the Washington game. Don Concave sucks now. 17 receptions for C.D. Lamb later and we're in good shape. No, I mean, you can talk about that. We're going to get into all the studs and duds on today's show. We got your Monday-Ponday reactions news to talk about. And, you know, we still got another game. But I mean, this is the conversation I didn't want to have. I said, what if Dalton Kincaid goes out there in week four and lays an egg, which

1:52 ↗

You know, DJ Moore went out in this game. Kean Coleman stepped up, right? You know, they had a horrible drop from Joshua Palmer in this one. But Dalton Kincaid was nowhere to be found. No, the routes went down. Joe Brady after Sunday's game, quote, there's no reason. Dalton Kincaid should have two targets. I got to find a way to get the ball in his hands. I just don't know how we did this. I know. I'm not giving up on Donald Kincaid, but that feels.

2:24 ↗

It feels very bad and ridiculous that you can have the start to the season where he's getting all the routes. He's super involved. And he's kicking butt for you. And you're like, well, but DJ Moore went down. Yeah, I mean. And we're like, we might lose this game to the Patriots guys. We got to get some offense going. Yeah, Dawson Knox ends up with a couple of targets early in the game. It was weird. And now we're going to have to make, you know, you're going to have to think about what you have long term there. Yep. Because it's not the first time.

2:52 ↗

that Buffalo said we need to get Dalton Kincaid more involved in an office. I will say this. And I think it's an important context. If you look at like, what do we do with Dalton Kincaid? Sure, I trade for him low. Is he just, you know, pumpkin? Is he reverting to a pumpkin? The New England Patriots were prior to this week, the number one most difficult matchup for tight end. So this is like, maybe it's a scheme thing where it's like, hey, they would like to, but they guard tight ends really, really well. So we'll just keep him off the field. That was the strat.

3:21 ↗

You can't stop me if I stop myself. Can't defend what's not there. Yeah, it's a wild one. We have a lot going on, a lot to talk about. We got some updates on some injuries. We had more injuries that have implications for free agent signings. And a reminder of the community, the greatest community on planet Earth, the foot clan available at jointhefoot.com. We'd love to have you in there. 60,000 strong over on the Discord server.

3:49 ↗

and the website is the fantasy footballers.com. You guys gave us your reactions this weekend, a little bit of good, a little bit of bad, a little bit of bad puns, of course, and we'll start right now in the most sophisticated manner possible. Starting with Tetaroa McMillians. I guess he's good. Yeah, so is.

4:13 ↗

Bam, Laporta. Yeah, he was awesome. Or CD Lamborgini. Yes, and just simple, Drake, yay. Yeah, no Ken Walker here. It's Ken Runner the third. That's right. Hey, it's Quintan Studkins, guys. Yep. Enjoy your week. How about He, He, Man, you will Wilson. Jason. I love this one. Carnel Great. Yes. We had a good game. Zay my name, Zay my name. Jolly Gordon.

4:40 ↗

He was the dude. And Nico Ballin's out there. Oh, Kyle. Nom, nom, nom, nom, nom, num, guy. And we had some bad ones like Dantavian whiffs. And faltering Kincade. This one took me a second, but I got there. We got atheist Watson. How about Ken Yoh? I'm Sadiq. Holy. You got Dalton Shucks. Darren.

5:07 ↗

Squalor. Matthew's staff infection? Oh. David Montbummery. Oh, Josh frowns. And I like this one. Cam Scata poop. Yes. And Anemic Bigbuka. Oh, man, it's been bad. Yeah. Not that you can really blame him this week. He was so close to being able to be a Mecca Egusa. But is that what you're rooting for? At that point, at that point, it shifted to where. Pun priorities? Yeah.

5:37 ↗

but it didn't goose thank you for sharing your monday punday entries there on instagram at fantasy footballers on x at the ff ballers hey and some of those like shout out to the people that if you if you stayed strong with carnell tate and your starting roster congratulations thank you i appreciate that i i will he's hit my starting oh thank you congratulations to you as well

6:01 ↗

Because there was... Have you seen his starting roster, Mike? He's probably his best player. It was so easy. Ain't no way I was playing Carnell Tate yesterday. But that was great to see. It was. And they weren't all like four yards from the line of scrimmage. They were some downfield throws. I will say, I mean, nothing in that game changed my opinion about Cam Ward being the worst quarterback in football. There's something, it's not, it's like every, like, not everybody watching football is like,

6:32 ↗

You know, Mike, you're growing up. Your son is playing football. You're around practices. You know, we've watched football for 20, 30 years. You know, maybe we understand some of the small things about, you know, footwork or formations and things like that. I think a dude off the street could watch Cam Ward fade back to pass and be like, what's, why is he do? What? What's the? He looks weird. Why is he? Why is he angling that way? Is he standing straight up?

7:01 ↗

Why is he threw sidearm for no reason? Yeah, sometimes he goes and he just is like whips it out. Yeah, he reminds me of that Disney Channel quarterback. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Just like, yeah, I'm a quarterback. Because he had no room to throw. Yeah. It just makes me think that this is a dude that could just ignore the fundamentals of footwork and playing the position.

7:26 ↗

and get by with the athleticism and big plays. And then you get to the NFL. And these things matter, right? Like how long you're holding on to the football or the decisions you're making. I don't know. He's not good. And we were like, what are they going to do? Like at some point, like you're going to go, what, this is year three or two, I mean? Yeah. So. Well, they're not going to win games. The decision. If they win no games and you have the number one through five pick and there's a bunch of quarterbacks coming out. One, I mean, I think if you're out one or two, it becomes.

7:55 ↗

a very difficult conversation. I think at one or two it becomes a very easy conversation to have. I think at five, it becomes difficult. If they're at one or two and they're the worst or second worst team and there are really good quarterbacks available to take, you have to move on. And you've gotten two years of winlessness. Yeah. You're not being like, oh, I know there's that great quarterback out there, but we're sticking with the guy who got us the number one pick. Cardinals, the one good thing they've ever done is move on quick from Josh Rosen.

8:21 ↗

When Kyler was on the table, Bears did it with Justin Fields. Yeah, no, I was one year. But I don't know. Sometimes a guy seems so far from redeemable. I'm rooting for Cammore to be awesome if he became a great quarterback. But the gap between now to like top 20. Bryce Young took a long time and got benched, not just like got injured. He got straight benched. That's fair.

8:46 ↗

He looks like he's finally figured it out. He's having so much fun. He is enjoyable to watch. He's happy out there, and he's playing some great ball. And who, Teteroa. Goodness. This is, we had multiple examples this week of teams being like, no, I'm just going to throw out of that guy every play. Every play. C.D. Lamb. Teteroa? Like, just every play. And you knew it. And then there were plays where Teteroa didn't catch the ball. And they're watching the film. And he's like, yeah, he's open again. He's open again.

9:15 ↗

You cannot cover the best players. And how did it work for those teams? It's wild. The Panthers scored a lot of points in one in a very important tough match. Oh, the Cowboys scored a lot of points in one in a very tough match. Just keep throwing to the best dude. Yeah. I would have to go back and watch the Browns video from last week where they just didn't throw the ball at McMillan. I don't know if it was, he wasn't getting open in that particular game. I don't remember off the top of my head or.

9:45 ↗

We had to come in here like, he's good, right? Yeah. We got in here, we're like, without Coker, like, he's good, right? Like, he's a rookie. Oh, yeah, he's good. And that last, one of those last first downs, that sideline catch, oh, my gosh. He was awesome last night. All right, let's talk some news. News and notes from around the league. We had already reported, I believe, that Judarian Price was on the R. No, we had not. No, we had not. So Jadarian Price went to IR. I swear we talked about.

10:16 ↗

No, we knew he was going to be out, but then over the weekend, it upgraded to Out for Four. Maybe I'm just remembering you talking on Sunday long. Yes. Joe. Out for four sounds great compared to Jordan Tyson. Does it? Yeah, he's the latest, Schefter was saying, unlikely to return until week seven at the earliss. You thought. Right, but that's three. Well, three from now. Some of us have been holding on to him for the four weeks. Price is four plus from now. Yeah, but.

10:45 ↗

You got fuzzy math, man. We once, the point is. The past is the past. It's the future. Judarian Price, you assume you're getting four, right? Judarian Price has to be out at least four, but that doesn't guarantee four. Judarian Price being out is just bailing you out right now. I will, I will happily, I'd love to be wrong about Jordan Tyson participating in a fantasy meaningful way this year. I don't see it. I haven't seen it once. I have no.

11:13 ↗

thoughts that he's going to come back and go from hamstring to fantasy starter. You guys think he will do that. And I'm happy to be wrong on that. I just don't like, I never believed he was coming back quickly because this hamstring injury from ASU, he heard it at ASU who's never back that quick. He heard it in the off season. He wasn't back that quick. Now they're saying week seven at the earliest, which means let's really think about that. Let's say he's back in week seven or eight. What's the snap count?

11:39 ↗

How long does it take to increment? It'll take a couple weeks. Are you ever going to build an offense around Jordan Tyson with the hamstring? Not build around him. So, I mean, like, I mean, Vela is a good player. Joanson is a good player. I'm not saying Tyson can't get involved here and there. I just don't know if predictability. Maybe he's a fantasy playoff winner, but because they have so many snaps, they're the opposite of the Jets. Goodness. The Jets had fewer plays. New York. What was that? Bears had first.

12:09 ↗

Downs. What is that all about? 89 to 35 or something like that? Yeah, the Jets are playing way too slow. That makes it impossible for, I mean, Garrett Wilson had an awful week. It looks like they want to play slower. Like when you watch them, they're like, how can we slow this down? How can we have fewer plays? And part of me actually does understand that. Like if you are a bad team slowing it down, having...

12:33 ↗

Less plays, less total points on the board. That can work. I mean, it's worked a couple times. But at the same time, you also have to stop the other team. And you didn't do that. I mean, it works on an isolated matchup basis when you're playing, you know, a high-flying offense to try to slow the game down. That worked against the chiefs a lot when they were a super up. But as a strategy in general, I'm not seeing a lot of slow teams having success. No, I think that's very old school. And I think it actually like.

13:03 ↗

The way that you can win, you know, and it just math analytically of like your probability. I feel like when you slow it down. We want less chances to score. You're bringing your window down. Genering price to IR. Jack Charbonnet's practice window opened. And the team is apparently working out Joe Mixon, who Jay Glazer reported is visiting Seattle. There was a big hype video that Joe Mixen released over the weekend that he finishes by saying, I'm back.

13:30 ↗

I love the video that he has made. He's like, what happened to Joe Mixing? He had all the notes. Tell us. Yeah, where have you been? He had all the news clips of like, Mixing's not coming back and what's wrong with Joe Mixing. You know when that was happening, you could have been like, hey, guys, it's Joe Mixing here. I don't think you wanted to say, hey, I went to an alternative healing facility and injured my foot. I think that's what happened. Maybe. Jordan Tyson, we said it, week seven at the earliest. We'll see.

13:59 ↗

when they activate him because he needs to be having, he needs his practice window open. Yes. Which hasn't happened yet. Lamar Jackson on a stupid play. I mean, it's just a normal play. I don't think there was anything wrong with it, but it sucked. It got tackled and his ankle got trapped. It felt like he didn't make a decision fast enough. I'm going to get my whining out of the way. Okay. So we had a very good week with our fantasy face off on Friday. Mike went four for four. Yeah, baby. I went three for four. I got to be safe, right?
