I mean, he is my number one wide receiver this week. Obviously, you're going to play him, but it's just a great match. Setting up disappointment. Yeah, and also, not only, yes, possibly, but you need to be aware of that if you're playing against Julio. Expect the big game, adjust your lineup appropriately. I think Devante Freeman is going to end up my number one running back on the week in this matchup. If Coleman trends out. Even if he is active, Devonta Freeman ran.

55:12 ↗

with a vengeance last week. I think he looks great. I think there's a chance he's all alone with Coleman and the concussion. And the bucks can't stop the running back, really. I mean, they're 24th in the league, 23 fantasy points of game. That begs the question. Look, if Freeman and Julio are going to have a nice game, can you trust Matt Ryan? I don't think so. I had someone comment like, okay, well, then why is Matt Ryan not a top 12 quarterback if I'm expecting a monster game from Julio? But two weeks ago, when Julio had...

55:41 ↗

literally one of the top 10 performances of all time for fantasy at the wide receiver position, Matt Ryan was the 15th ranked quarterback that week. So I think you can trust these options without trusting Matt Ryan. It is a great matchup for him, but he's been terrible. One of the more interesting things, if you look at the other side of the ball, James Winston is dead last in deep balls since his return, 6% of passes. So you've got these two deep weapons and Evans.

56:08 ↗

and Deshaun Jackson, and now you have to wonder if it's mental, if it's in his head, if the team is saying, listen, don't throw the ball away, don't make mistakes. And now he's not, he's not famous Winston if he's not taking shots down the field. It's a double-edged sword. Winston is the king of air yards as a quarterback, at least was. Yeah, the crown has been taken away from him. So perhaps that's what's going on with Mike Evans is, I think.

56:35 ↗

you're on to something there, Andy, with, we saw them in hard knocks where they would overly stress to James Winston about don't, was the quote essentially he said, don't lose the game? Yeah, I feel like that was the talk. That was, that was what the talk was. If your head coach is telling you, don't lose the game. Now, again, this is not, that can't feel good.

56:57 ↗

This is one of those matchups where I don't necessarily love the options. I don't know which tight end to start. Probably neither Bray or O.J. Howard. I would start Howard. But James Winston, at the end of this game, we'll probably have an okay fantasy day like he usually does. He'll throw two picks early. They will lose the game, but James Winston will come back, rush enough, pass enough, and get a couple touchdowns to people that aren't going to help you.

57:24 ↗

Unless you started James Winston. But I do think James Winston is an okay start. The last six weeks, the Falcons have been 26 against quarterbacks, despite being a pretty stout defense everywhere else. Now, Doug Martin, Peyton Barber situation. How are you handling that? How are you feeling about it? Unless news comes out of Tampa that Peyton Barber has been made the starter or will see significant increase in volume, I'm not wanting to start either. That's what I was going to say.

57:52 ↗

This situation sounds like I'm not starting Doug Martin. This is the kind of situation where an industry should arise that allows you to buy insurance on players' production. So that you can, you know, because you could get zero from either of those guys and you could get 15 from either guy. I would have cashed in on Doug Martin. That's a yes, you would have. But I'm with Jason that if they say nothing, I start nobody. If they say Peyton Barber is the starter.

58:22 ↗

I'm okay starting him despite the... See something, say something. Yeah, exactly. Or it's like, say nothing, do nothing. Moving on. All right. We are going to jump into our expert draft here in the draft app.

58:38 ↗

starts momentarily, and you can play with us. We're going to do an expert draft today, which means that the top players at each position are off the board automatically, so we're digging a little deeper. Hopefully this will help illuminate some of those starts-sid decisions for you on the show. And then we'll go back in time with a few highlights from the past 500 shows for you to enjoy. And again, I just want to say thanks to everybody that has been along for the ride. I know there are many of you who are OG listeners and OG Foot Clan members. Yes. And look, it's...

59:07 ↗

It's surreal to us to look back and see the beginning and where we are now. And we consider it a real privilege to do this job every single day. And we want to kick up for you. So guys, it looks like Jason is going to start us off. The Daily Dose. Brought to you by draft. I am starting us off again. The top players at every position are gone. So we're digging a little bit deeper here. And I'm going to take a guy that will probably hurt Mike's heart.

59:40 ↗

No. That's all I want to do. It might not be the guy you're thinking. I'm going Rex Burke. Of course I know who you're talking about, Jason. Yes. And I will, I have to pass the pain along that because that's how life works. Crappy Paddies, Michael Crabtree is that one. I thought you meant passing back to Jason. Who do I love him? You got two chances here on the turn to steal them. Oh, that is brutal. Yes. Man, that's tough.

60:08 ↗

I'm looking at these quarterback options. I'm seeing a couple that I really like. I'm seeing one I really love. I'm going to take Dak Prescott and get my quarterback out of the way early. I was not think about it. I was really, really hoping. You're on the clock again, Andy. That's true. That's how the turn works. That is how the turn works. And you know what? I'm going to draft somebody else. And I'm going to take the shot on, man, that's a big name that hasn't been delivering. This is a tough decision, guys. Very tough decision. I'm going to go.

60:38 ↗

last minute draft Mike Evans yeah I don't blame you he was definitely in my queue the fact he's out of those main guys in an expert draft is just mind boggling so at least when I look at the names on my team also mind boggling you missed your start of the week Latavius Murray against the Cincinnati Bengals and he's now on my team yeah thought about it I thought about it I'm gonna go with Golden Tate

61:00 ↗

I think the matchup is good. He's at home. He's with Matthew Stafford's hand. They were throwing a little shorter. I think that feeds into Golden Tate having a good game. And I'm still on the clock. You guys need to learn how to draft. You know, part of me wants to go Brandon Cooks here. Big name still on the board. It's hard to trust him. But I'm going to, oh, shoot, I push the wrong button. Oh, no. Oh, what's happening?

61:28 ↗

You have drafted. I got him. Brandon Cook. I got him. Oh, man. I wanted to get. I'm sweating over here. I wanted to get Brandon Cooks on my team as well. Now I'm deciding between a pair of running backs. I'm going to put my money where my mouth is though. My start of the week, Jay Ajai. Oh, he's in there. Giants. Yes, he is. Yeah, that's a great pick. I'm going to go with my other.

61:54 ↗

half of the start of the week. I'm going to take Derek McKinnon, give him a shot this week, and now I'm deciding on another running back. And I'm going to go back to Christian McCaffrey here. All right. I think there's an over Reaction from last week. I saw some people, they had Theoretic in over McCaffrey, even with Abdullah possibly active. I think that's a bad play. I think McCaffrey's the better play than Redick. You guys, asking for a friend. Yeah. Not related to this draft at all. Robbie Anderson or Dedy Westbrook. Definitely. I would honestly, at that point, I would go with, uh,

62:23 ↗

Trent Taylor. I'm taking D.D. Not helping you at all. No. All right. It's a half point PPR format on draft. I'm on the clock and I really like my options here. At quarterback, I can choose between Blake Bortles and Case Keenum. Two guys I love. I'm taking Case Keenum because he is great. And now I need one running back left. My options that I like, Mike Davis is out there. And so I'm going to take him.

62:52 ↗

Because he's who I like them. That's fair. There's one player I really want Mike, so don't you dare take it? Well, I have to take a quarterback. Oh, that's wonderful for me. So you are fine. I do really want to draft Blake Bortles and have the double stuff. Oh, you should have the share of Blake Bortles. Yeah. The problem is that Philip Rivers is on the board. And I'm going to stay in those flames. Even though it's on the road against Kansas City, I'm going to go with Philip. Hello darkness, my old friend. Jordy Nelson is on my team. Oh, no.

63:19 ↗

Yes, what a great kick at the end. We missed them. Yes, you did. I mean, I would have much preferred Jordy than Brandon Cooks. Dak Prescott, Jerich McKinnon, Christian McCaffrey, so a couple pass catchers and Mike Evans and Jordan Nelson. Well, you've got the names. We'll see if they come through. I've got Case Keenham, Rex Burkett, and Mike Davis, along with Golden Tate and Brandon Cooks. My team does not have Jordy Nelson on it.

63:44 ↗

But it has Philip Rivers, Latavius Murray, Jay, Michael Crabtree, and Dedy Westbrook. All right, that is it. You can play on draft.com slash ballers. Now, I think, yeah, yeah, Jay Gris and company, we're getting a little bit nervous because Brooks, you're going to power up the time machine. Is this correct? Can you, are the, the gears moving? Oh, it's ready. Pullies and the. How fast are we driving?

64:07 ↗

We almost 88. All right, let's say, that's 88 miles an hour. I'm ready to ride the bicycle to power it up. Thank you. That would be how we would do things. So let's go back in time. Mailbag. Very nice. I'm always amped after that. Oh, yeah. That didn't sound amped. We needed your best. We needed your best today because this is a mailbag show, man. We're answering questions. Turned into the mail baggie.

64:44 ↗

Oh, I liked it. So we're talking David Johnson, the 22nd pick of the third round by the Arizona Cardinals. Be still my heart. Go watch David Johnson's highlight reels. David Johnson. David Johnson. David Johnson. Russell Wilson. Russell Wilson. Russell Wilson. Russell Wilson. With the 17 pack, we'll put Russell Wilson. Russell Wilson. That's that.

65:10 ↗

Am I going to be able to withstand victories for the next few weeks? Did you say withstand victories? What does that mean? Well, I can always withstand a victory. Five stars is titled Withstanding Victories. I have been able to withstand multiple victories since I started listening to this podcast. I literally wake up and check to see if there's a new episode every morning just so I can get an inside edge and withstand the victories over my league mates.

65:38 ↗

Not every show can withstand victories. I've been too busy eating double stuffed Oreos and with my three and one record thanks to the guys. What do you think it's like for a new listener to the show to hear so many people reference withstanding victories? Do they just think that we are dumb? No. You guys out there? That's what it says in the show notes. Shout out to the Foot Clan. Well, there you go. I didn't even read that, but I'm giving a shout out to the Foot Clan. Which one of you wrote that in there, Mike? I did. Oh, well, yeah.

66:07 ↗

Shout it out. Hey. All right. Well, with that, breaking news. We've waited a long time for this. Yes. The Wheel of Water app is now on the app store. The Wheel of Water. The Wheel of Water. Nobody got in that with me. Thanks, guys. Jason's championship.

66:37 ↗

It's sweet relief to all of us who had to endure him over the last week of anxiety. Yeah, it's my king of the castle robe. Which somehow you own. Yeah, well, you know, I've got a great wife, and she sewed me a robe that says king of the castle on the back. This old thing? I've had this for years. You look like a combination of Game of Thrones and Santa Claus. But Mike? But Andy. Yes, voice of public opinion. But Mike, my God.

67:03 ↗

But Andy. Oh, no. What are you doing here? Andy. He's at the back of the second. But Jason. Oh, my goodness. I think you have to keep him because what you're saying in the snap percentage. Oh, what's your snack count? My snack count is 100%. I don't bake extraordinarily well, but I eat baked goods as good as anyone. I would say I'm expert level at eating baked goods.

67:31 ↗

And other non-baked goods as well. What is that? I don't know. I got away from me. Yeah, did. Bradford has come out today. Sam Bradford, Sammy Biscuits, an unhappy biscuit. Oh, that's not good. A mad biscuit. The biscuits are stale. There it is. I'm not going to look at your playbook. Is that what he said? That's what he said. Wait.

67:58 ↗

That was a quote? That was, yeah, direct. I was actually, I just played the audio. Play it again, would you? Would you play that again? I'm not going to look at a playbook. The guy I want the most in the draft on my teams is actually Greg Olson. Dear Diary. What? I have Greg Olson, and I traded for him when he was hot. He's now tied in number 19 since I've had him. But it's such a good matchup. What do I do, Diary?
