109 passagesThe Broncos, I mean, the Broncos, what a team. 17 to 14 in overtime over the defending champions, dominant victory. Incredible offensive performances throughout. Hmm. Bo Nix had 17 completions for 107 yards. It had to be like the first quarter, I'm assuming. Took him 27 attempts. Oh, that's the whole game? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. 27 attempts to get to 107 passing yards. On prize mix, I had my...
his passing completions. I was never scared. Oh, of course. Yeah, yeah, of course. Man, he's, did you guys see the, the Fitzpatrick? Yes. I didn't get to watch. Oh, baby. So good because it is dishonoring the quarterback position or something. It's so good because it is real.
It is not networked and, you know. I mean, is it possible for us to put that on here? No, we can't do that. You can't do that. I don't think we got to write. You know, all that. But basically what he said. He said he's just, I mean, he said what we're all seeing, which is he is not playing competitive football. I believe he said it was disrespectful to the quarterback position. Absolutely. I saw something that was like. It was disrespectful to the, to us watching. It was like, there's. Yes.
There were like 1,600, you know, times where Bo Nix was at a certain situation where he, and he was the first one of all time, like to run out of bounds behind the line of scrimmage. What are you doing? Throw the ball away. It was really frustrating to watch. And part of it for me, this is speaking, this is the quote, is Bo Nix is not playing competitively. It's almost disrespectful to the quarterback position, how he's playing the game right now. First of all, the guy doesn't, you talk about that winner? The guy doesn't want to throw the ball. That's fine, Fitzpatrick said. He's throwing it to the flats. He's throwing behind.
But he has no trust from his coach. Peyton calls a screenplay on third and eight. Just run up and let the clock keep going. What does he do? He throws it away. Seattle gets the ball. They have a time out. And then an overtime, blah, blah, blah. They got really fired up about the run. I don't remember if it was regulation or in overtime. You're talking about the run to the right side? Yeah, that was the final. And you watch Fitzpatrick back of the day out there when he's got a run to pick something up. Oh.
Body is on the line. The only thing that matters was that one yard. And Bo Nix. Not willing. We're not there yet. And it's very confusing. Is it his, I mean, his ankle, if you, we have to remember, like he destroyed his ankle back in the playoff game against the bills. He had, I think he had bets, injury man, please, if you remember. I think there was like multiple cleanups, including one that was like more recent to closer to training camp.
I don't think there's any of that that stops him from turning up field. Or throwing downfield. No. Does he throw with his ankle? Yeah, but just I'm saying the run, like the mental block of like being scared that you're going to hurt your ankle again. He threw for 107 yards. His coach does not have confidence in him. Dobbins was 17 for 41. Luckily Dobbins and Harvey scored because the total offensive production was embarrassing. Waddle, unplayable. Oh, we got. No, no, no. This guys.
I don't even know if you realized it because the game was so bad. This was vintage Waddle. He got knocked out of the game, guys. Yeah. He missed. It didn't matter if he was handed or not. He was out. But then he came back. Yeah. Jalen Waddle style. Yeah. This game, it got a little bit exciting when it was like going to overtime and who's going to win. But the, you know, three and a half quarters of this game were just brutal to watch. So boring. JSN, awesome.
He's always going to get his. He got there. I mean, always. It felt a little sketchy. That was another one. I had more on like 93 and a half receiving yards. And. Moron. And first half he had like nothing. Yeah. I was not, this was the least scared I've ever been about. I was like, it's going to have. It always happens with Jason. And Seattle. Two picks. Seattle. Saw what was going on with Emmanuel Wilson. They're like, this is just way too good.
for what is happening for fantasy football purposes. You know who we got to get touches to? Valas Jones Jr. To be fair. That is disgusting. Halani, when given the few opportunities. He was a sickle. Halani was, he had some really nice runs there, including the touchdown. So, yeah, that, you know, at this point, moving forward with Broncos players, you are terrified. Yes, what I said, Broncos and chargers. Listen, not playing them. I have Bo Nix.
because he has a game against Arizona next week, and I am actively looking for a pivot. Yeah, I don't know if I'm looking for a pivot because the basic philosophy. Try to see if Cam Ward's out there. The philosophy for Denver is if we have any sort of lead or we're close, just pretend like we have a 60 point lead and play that offense, which is just protect the ball, don't screw up, don't take sacks, hand it off, and punt it and let our defense try to score. It's gross. It's also Friday.
Put Clan Friday. Today's winner of a $100 gift card to Fantasychamps.com goes to Tyler McGee. Tyler McGee. Congratulations. Every week we give 100 bucks away to a supporter over there at Jointhefoot.com and Tyler, you are today's winner. Let's go ahead and jump into some news. News and notes from around the league. The Colts released Darius Slayton, who never played. Can you release someone that never played?
Apparently. And what's wild is... It's like a tree falling in the woods. They had let go of, like, the Giants let go of OBJ. Yeah. And they signed Braxton Berrios and then they let go of him. Well, you... They was injured. He got hurt. Yeah. But, like, Darius Slade, had he not been signed and not played by the Colts, probably would have returned to the Giants and maybe played. But it doesn't matter. The Eagles. Saquan Barclay did not practice again on Thursday. Devante Smith limited on Thursday. Okay. Danteion Wix did not practice Thursday. Good Lord. The hamstrings for all of them. And...
Also, we should re-bring back up the Jalen Hertz news because that was towards the end of the show. We got breaking news on yesterday's podcast, and if you did not hear it, Jalen Hertz, it was reported that he is going to miss this week's game with what was described as a superficial blood clot in his calf. Later reports seem to imply that the clot had moved and that this could be a more potentially serious situation where, look, we went through this with Chris Oliva.
last year who missed an extended period of time. The report on Hertz right now is his, there's no imminent return. It's just out indefinitely. There's a tweet here from John Clark, who is from NBC Philly. He says Jalen Hertz could miss more than one game. It could be weeks or months. And then if he's on blood thinners, you really cannot play. It's just like.
It's a little legit, scary thing, what Jalen Hertz has to deal with right now. And they signed Joe Milton this morning. Yeah, it's too early. We're waiting for more reports, but based on the history of this type of thing and what you need to do with the blood thinners, it looks like it's going to be three months. So for fantasy purposes, if it's three months, that's everything. Yeah, that would be the rest of your year. And again, we say, oh, man, Devonty Smith, maybe he's coming back. Okay.
Without Jalen Hertz. I don't know if he gets back this week. It's terrifying. Devante Smith gets a downgrade rest of the season. Would you even want to play him coming off of if he's active? No, I wouldn't. Yeah, I get to play him. I probably don't get to play him against Mike in our Dynasty League, but watch out if I do. Yeah, we'll see who's the starter and how long they're the starter and what happens in a nightmare season now for Philadelphia. Kyle Monongai did not practice again on Thursday, recovering from toe and thumb injuries. Caleb Williams practiced in full again.
So he'll be back. He had a weird press conference, a weirdly aggressive press conference where he would not reveal the grade on his hamstring tear. That was kind of embarrassing. He was really upset about how things were reported. He's like there were a false report, so I'm not going to tell you the truth about it. That'll help. But guys, it was a, it was porn. Caleb's really serious. That's not how we do it, man. That doesn't. Just say it was a grade one. That turns into us doing this conversation. Yeah, this conversation doesn't happen unless you, you know. You just got to.
You put your face into it. Go out there, play football. Just say it was whatever great. It was great one. It was great two. It hurt. I'm practicing. I'm going to go out there. I'm going to ball out. Yeah. I won't tell you. It didn't stop me from showering. You know what I mean? Lamar Jackson did not practice again on Thursday. So the latest on him. He could still play, but. I really doubt. I really, really doubt that he plays this week. Crenshaw Junkins did not practice again on Thursday. We expect him to miss. Junkins.
Dylan Sampson was upgraded to a limited practice with the knee. So it is possible. Wait, do we have a report for today? Junkins is out there? Was seen? Looking to this immediately. Both seen this a.m. So Junkins, what's with these ankles just getting better overnight? What's with the reporting on injuries? Trayvion Henderson. Yeah, he was out there. He's practicing. Not only was he practicing, but he looked.
Fine. He was like cutting on the ankle. And so I would expect him to be out there, maybe a little bit more. It's not a high ankle sprain then. Well, no, that's a high ankle sprain. I used to, you know, we used to talk about it. It was usually either zero weeks or three weeks, unless it was like a surgery, IR stint. Which is so weird. Yeah. Well, yeah, they certainly couldn't be the same thing. No, not the same degree. It's like a hamstring. Breeze Hall and Edna Mitchell are officially out. Cool.
I get Brees Hall against Mike in our dynasty matchup. No, you don't. Yeah, I know. Kenyon Sadiq is a full practice. He should clear concussion protocol. Omar Cooper Jr. will be back. Crystal Lave did not practice again Thursday. Cool. I get to play him against Mike Dynasty. You play Mike? Yeah, this is my whole team. But it's an illness. I know it. It's an illness. So hopefully he is good to go by Sunday, but it stinks. And we have some matchups today. We'll get into Jeremiah. I love to not practice again Thursday with his ankle injury. They're trying to take it easy.
Rashi Rice did not practice again Thursday. Cool. There it is. I was waiting for it. Yeah. So I will say this. Reminder, they're coming off the bye week. He's not practicing Wednesday. He's not playing. Like there's this is. No, and they signed Justin Watson. Yeah. Rashi Rice, if you've got him, don't have them in your lineup.
DJ Moore didn't practice. I don't expect him to play with the biweek coming up and Mike Evans did not practice. I didn't like the report. No, we don't. It's his ribs, but it's also now Achilles soreness. We do not like that. It's everything and I don't think it matters. I mean, he's the one guy that's like if he doesn't practice all week. I don't like that word ever. Well, I get it because usually when you hear Achilles, it's you tore your Achilles, not.
sore. That's not as... Oh, we had a sore Achilles once. His name was Kevin Durant in the NBA finals and it was sore for game one and game two. We had one on the 49ers called Christian McCaffrey. It was sore and then it was Tor. Well, if he plays, I would imagine you're playing him, right? I mean, because Mike Evans so far this year while he's been injured and hasn't been practicing, if he's out there and active, he is pretty much a must start. He's had one game with less than double digit fantasy. What else do we have? We have JCM not practicing due to a groin injury. Ah!
Yeah. His was interesting because he was playing great on Sunday and then he was gone and we didn't really talk about it. So here it is. Yeah. Okay. So many injuries. So much to talk about more matchups and we'll make up for one situation we forgot yesterday due to the breaking Jalen Hertz news as well. Fantasy Forecast presented by prize picks.
Yesterday we did talk through the Texans, Jags game in London, Bears, Falcons, Ravens, Colts, Jets, Patriots, Saints, Giants, Panthers, Eagles. Six more matchups to talk through today. We also have the fantasy face-off to finish the show. But while the Jalen Hurts news broke, we had been talking about the Saints game. And that caused us to forget to talk about the running backs for the Saints, which is a...
potentially good thing that we didn't talk about him maybe that's the gift that we gave but i don't have the name of the listener who is look my friend you are down bad you are down bad if this is what we're talking about so who what was a snap breakdown last week so i'm seeing uh camera at 12 snaps kendre at 14 and c j donaldson at 19 yes this game was put away right it was a blowout no no no
The Saints were not crushed last week by a bazillion points. It was close enough. It was 23 to 13 final score. Yeah, that ain't the bazillion points. I don't think you're, you know, benching guys. It was definitely a handling. The Saints offense couldn't really do anything against the Vikings. The Vikings offense should have been able to do more, but they couldn't. They did enough. But yeah, it was like Camara last week. He only had five opportunities, 12 snaps. He had three carries, one fewer than C.J. Donaldson. And even though Donaldson led in snaps.
