He says, who would you start in week one, Ruben Randall or Danny Amandola? He says he's hesitant to start Randall.

because the Cowboys had one of the better past defenses last year. The past defense was a mirage. And I believe they've taken some injuries. And as the year went on, you saw that the past defense was just kind of getting away with some things throughout the year. And with Victor Cruz, who's scheduled to be out, as far as I know right now, Ruben Randall is my man. I love him as the number two up in that giant system. I think he's going to get a ton of targets with ODB pulling off.

pulling off the coverage. So I'm going to lean with Randall. I like that answer. I like Randall this year. I like that matchup and that game, that high scoring game. But let me ask you this. Oh, no. Julian Edelman. Let's say he's out. He, oh, okay. Because there's a good chance that Julian Edelman doesn't play. And you've got that huge line, that awful defense in Pittsburgh. Opening day of football, would you consider in that situation? If Edelman is not.

playing that that would change my my ruling drastically because amandola will be uh a doused in targets because they who do who would they have gronkowski and amadola who i don't even who else would be playing why it would be scott chanler he would get targets yeah scott chanler's going to get a bump i think for a little bit well with lafell out so uh that might be one of the reasons if if their offenses in that situation where we don't know where the targets are going to maybe not be quite as high on brady as we think

controversy to the forefront, but at the same time, doesn't it change your perception of that team if these things are true? I mean, does that just die from a statute of limitations over time? Or do you, it's just, it's not comfortable to think about for these teams that had success in won Super Bowls. That wasn't all I've heard, though. I've heard that there was a member of the staff who would sneak into the other locker room and he would get a copy of their offensive play sheet. That's what I heard on the way over today. It's very helpful. So as far as you're just talking legacy?

Yeah. Absolutely nothing happens to their legacy. That's my... Because time will pass and no one cares. Yeah. Statute of limitation mentally. We don't know. This is all just propaganda right now. And even if the stuff comes out that really proves it, it's such boring stuff. But how many years of smoke do you need before it burns something down? I mean, I love... This is great news. This is great news. And you're just all the more fuel to your fire, you know, or if you love the Jets. If you're a, if there's a lot of people out there that hate the Patriots. I would say a good amount of people. And this is just so much more fuel to that fire. But everyone else, I don't think this is going to change anyone who likes the Patriots to think, oh, that their, their image is too sour for me. Well, and I'm not saying it with any sense of like, you know.

We don't know what the truth is, right? These things are rumors, and it makes for a really great preseason story, and we don't know all the information. And I like the Patriots. I think the Patriots fans certainly hate having these things surround them for weeks and years on end. But it's just kind of a sour thing when you know there was, there were things that took place. Yeah, but it's like in college when they try and strip the championships away.

Like from Calipari of his basketball. Like, oh, it didn't actually happen. Yeah, it did. I watched it happen. I don't care about your record book. I saw it happen. And it's the same with the Patriots. They have a bunch of Super Bowls. They'll always have a bunch of Super Bowls. You can't take him away now. Yeah, Belichick will use anything in his power to win, even if it's dirty. So let me ask you, Andy. You're an upstanding man. That is true. Would you want Bill Belichick as the long-term coach of your team?

Because I can tell you for sure, my answer is yes. Oh, yep. All right.

RB2 in a 10-team standard league. Nick Mangold just told you. He said, I would draft him. And you know what? Nick Mangold, while he's going to back up his teammate, he's one of the top centers in the league, and we have just tons of evidence that supports, if you have a great center, you can have a good running game. Here's the thing. Mangold didn't mince words about Ivory's talent. He kind of just gave the political answer when it talked about Zach Stacey.

Right. Yeah. Right. So, I mean, it should tell you something. I think we've all seen it with our eyes, much like Ingram last preseason, ivory looks good. Like he's looking, he's making plays consistently. It's not one or two plays. So I'm excited to see what he's got. And I think Jason, he's an RB2 for me. Jason has brought this up. He was an RB2 last year with Chris Johnson siphoning about half the carries.

So there's no Chris Johnson. There's no, Bilal Powell will come in for some third downs, but Zach Stacey is not going to take work away from ivory. He's going to be on the field a little bit more this year. Adam in KCMO, I guess that's Kansas City of Missouri, but it was all put together, like some kind of brand or something. KCMO, he said, I have AJ Green, T. Y. Hilton, Eric Decker and Golden Tate for two spots.

Join the first. So the weird truth about this is if you are concerned about Hilton, I still like him. He's the number one for the Colts. I think Andrew Luck finds a way to get in the ball. I think Eric Decker is a very sneaky play this week as they take on the Cleveland Browns.

And we know that Brandon Marshall is going to get the Joe Hayden experience. Now, Brandon Marshall is a receiver who can beat that, but I think it's a safer bet to say that Decker will see some more targets this week. So if you want to switch it out, I would go with Decker. That is exactly my thoughts. All right, this next one comes in from Alex in North Carolina.

He says, please help me figure out who to start at my wide receiver 2 spot. And he has Hilton as well. So if Hilton is clear, does he start Hilton, Devante Adams, or Steve Smith, Signore? Now, I will say this. Steve Smith, I just read a thing. He averages like 91 yards in opening season games. In week one? Which is an interesting thing. I really like Steve Smith in week one. Yeah, I do too.

I probably just start Adams and Smith and avoid the injury cloud because I think those two guys are good enough. Yeah, it's certainly not a bad strategy. It's hard to sit down a guy you just drafted that early in Hilton. So that's the thing where if you are wrong, you're going to punch yourself in the face and call yourself an idiot for not buying into your draft. Sometimes it's better to be let down by your star than by your own mind.

Right? Like, you can blame Hilton as opposed to yourself for being dumb. Yeah, I agree with that. However, I'm definitely going Steve Smith. Really? Yep. I really am. Over Adams? Oh, Devonte Adams is in the mix. No, I'm going Devante Adams. I forgot about Adams in there. I honestly ranked them Devante Adams, Steve Smith, T.Y. Hilton for the week one matchup. Funny question from Casey in Arizona. Should he consider dropping Joseph Randall or Trey Mason to pick up Fred Jackson? Now, the caveat is he has Lynch. Okay. Was Trey Mason was on there? Yeah. It's tough. You definitely don't drop Joseph Randall.

Not at this point. I would drop Trey Mason to pick up Fred Jackson if I owned Marshaun Lynch. Yeah, so long as you don't need Trey Mason to start the first couple weeks, if you don't have, like, Levy and Bell and Arian Foster on your lineup where it's like, I've got to have somebody starting now. That's the only reason that Trey Mason has value. So I would, I would, if that's not the case, then yeah, I'd rather have F checks. I would not drop Trey Mason. I think Trey Mason will have a pretty decent value as long as he comes back from the hamstring injury.

The reports on Gurley, we don't know exactly what's going on with Gurley. Could be week six. The last thing I read is he might get some carries before week six. Yeah. Which is not inspiring. And that says Trey Mason is going to get a workload. And I think Mason has value throughout the year. It's a fair point. And I don't necessarily see Fred Jackson as the handcuff. If Lynch goes down, I'm not sure that Fred Jackson will be the guy. I think Rawls might be the guy to take the early down work. I feel like I wish I could water bet that.

And it's not something that makes a good water bet. But I think that's, I would if I could. You're not too high on F. Jacks, but I think Andy and I are both higher. I think Fred Jackson has value standalone. Why wouldn't he be the guy? A one-year deal who's been an established starter versus Kristen Michael hasn't found the field in four years there. Who can pass protect, he can bowl. Yeah, he'll still get people over. He'll still get the third down work. Conditional water bet. If Marshall and Lynch goes down. Dan in Delaware, we'll move on. It's okay.

I'm in Delaware. So I unintentionally ended up with four dolphins on my team, says Dan, Tannahill, Lamar Miller, Jarvis Landry, Jordan Cameron. He is starting Tana Hill and Cameron, but not sure whether to go Lamar Miller or Jarvis Landry for the flex position.

These are my best two options, and he likes Landry and PPR, but Miller should see a lot of touches. If it's me, I go Lamar Miller because you're playing Washington, and he has the guarantee of those touches, and the touchdown potential is higher for him than Miller to me. I'm sorry, higher for him than Landry for me. I think Dan and Delaware, you probably want to make some trades because... Don't live and die with the dolphins alone. No. I think they're going to be great, but you just... You can't have the quarterback, the running back, and the wide receiver. And the tight-in.

Oh, man, Dan, gross. Dan. You got to pay attention to your roster. It's not a good, it's not a good enough offense. However, they've got a great week one matchup. I don't think there's a good enough offense in football where I'd want all of those. Yeah, that's true. I don't want them all. Yeah, no, I think that's right. However, you have to start Lamar Miller. Lamar Miller's going to be a top five running back this week. I mean, to not put him in, to me is crazy. Wow, Jason Moore, number two. I know. I know. Yeah, it's a tough call, but I think I'd go with Miller.
