It is not presumed. I will presume. I will move forward with the current depth chart that Mike Davis is sitting at the top. Todd Gurley's out. Brian Hill is also a free agent. We saw what Todd Gurley was able to do as toast, but still scoring a whole bunch of touchdowns because it's the Atlanta Falcons and Matt Ryan's a good quarterback. They're a good offense. So touchdown opportunity is there. We know that Mike Davis has a three-down skill set before last year, but really showed it off.

14:16 ↗

as he had to be counted on when Christian McCaffrey went out. So if he is moving forward as the starter, if the Falcons don't do anything else, Davis will be an interesting.

14:31 ↗

third or fourth round pick. Yeah, he would be. But if you're playing in Dynasty, and right now you've got to make decisions based on what the true expectation of the future is, I would not expect Mike Davis to be the starter. He wasn't paid significant starter money. And with the capital that Falcons have, because of that restructure, I think there's a good chance they trade down from four. And if they trade down from four, they're going to get a haul of picks, which allows them to draft one of the three main running backs this season.

15:00 ↗

Okay. Edo Smith just stays around. Stays around. Royce Freeman style. Not a lot to be excited about right now in the backfield in Atlanta. Look, Mike Davis will be very interesting if he is actually there with Edo Smith. James White, one-year contract to return to the Patriots. All right. Damien Williams. This is a big one because it's Damien Williams. It's a one-year deal with the Bears. He's going to get work.

15:31 ↗

David Montgomery was very mediocre for fantasy for the first half, maybe two thirds. I can't remember how when the breakout really happened. But then, you know, you had the injury early to Tareke Cohen. Then Montgomery's passing down work went up, naturally. And then the end schedule was so friendly for David Montgomery.

16:00 ↗

He was great. I mean, David Montgomery turned into a league winning type of fantasy football player. He absolutely smashed. Well, he was on the James Robinson plan, which is every snap, every down, all game long. And against and against very poor rush defenses that turned into fantasy gold.

16:16 ↗

And you can't take anything away from him. Correct. He did everything you wanted him to do. And I think because of the work that he did, he's going to be seen in a light, even by the team and the organization, as a foundational piece of their offense. However, to speak to the Tariq Cohen injury.

16:34 ↗

He got injured, you know, midway through week three. And those first three weeks of the season, David Montgomery was the running back 37, 7, and 39. So it was not great those first three weeks utilization. And now they bring in someone with a skill set that can catch the ball. So I do think this has a real negative impact on David Montgomery. I guess my reaction to it was that it was kind of like, duh.

17:01 ↗

The depth chart that they had now was not going. It's not like Cordell Patterson wasn't being rotated through. They had to pick somebody else up for this team. And is Damien Williams, does he represent a different than I expected threat to the backfield? And my answer is no. It's not on a one-year deal. It's identical to the Carlos Hyde situation. You knew James Robinson was not going to be the only player there. And so you hope that.

17:25 ↗

They bring in someone old busted. And it's just a question of, do you believe that Carlos Hyde or Damien Williams are old busted? And I lean that they are not, that they've still got some juice left for this year in their respective backup role. What is the, circling back to the Mike Davis move for a split second here, because Joe Flacco also signed, and that's the last bit of news that we have. And we just covered it. Eagles. What is the depth? Yeah, just signed. Who cares? Sign with the NFL.

17:53 ↗

Within one-year NFL deal. What's the depth chart right now in Carolina with Mike Davis departing? Because, I mean, you have Christian McCaffee returning. I believe Reggie Bonifon is under. Super Bonifon. Super Bon, Bon. Is under contract by I will vet that. Okay. So we're doing the same dance this offseason with they probably will say they want to add somebody for Christian McCaffrey and.

18:17 ↗

Sure. I mean, if you're doing, I mean, MacDavis being able to carry the load, like Reggie Bonifon can't carry the load. It's Christian McCaffrey's backfield, obviously. Yes, yeah, 100% it will be McCaffrey. Yeah, Bonifon is under contract for 2021. Okay. We have a game that we're going to play. We're going to play some liar, liar. Before we do that one. Are we? No, no, that's not a lie. Oh, yeah. That's the truth. We don't, we're not playing yet. He's trying to win early.

18:44 ↗

We're not playing quite yet. But we do want to thank today's sponsor. Manly bands. Oh, yeah. Which I am, if you're watching on YouTube, I'm holding it up. I've got my manly bands on. I switched over to this manly bands six, eight months ago when we got connected with them. They're sweet looking. Our significant others, they've been the ones generally fantasizing about the perfect wedding ring. I remember when I got mine, it was like, uh,

19:11 ↗

I'll take what you got. I didn't even... You just pointed. Do you have a ring in a brown paper bag? Well, they all kind of seem the same, too, and that's what Manly Bands is working to fix, and they're saying goodbye to the hellish band buying experience. Yeah. And they have some crazy bands. Listen to this. Gold? Okay, that's normal. We know they have gold band. Get a nice gold band. What if you want one with wood inside or antler or steel or dinosaur bone? Dinosaur.

19:40 ↗

Or even meteorites. That's so awesome. You could get superpowers from that, can't you? A meteorite? I think so. To order your manly band and get 21% off. 21% off plus. They said 20. Nay. Nay. 21. What is this? 2020? No. No, that's a good point. 21% off plus a free silicone ring. Go to manlybans.com slash footballers. This manly bands.com slash footballers.

20:09 ↗

Code is footballers for 21% of Manly Bands the Best Rings, period. Upgrade your ring game, man. All right, we ready to play a game of liar, liar. Let's go. Lyer, liar, pants on fire. Footballers edition. All right, we play this on the Spitballers podcast. It is essentially two truths and a lie. And today, now Brooks.

20:44 ↗

Are we battling the lies of the Borgogan? You sure are. Oh, he's dastardly. Yeah. So today we are playing three rounds, two truths and a lie, with some fantasy stats and facts and things of that nature and lies. You guys ready? I don't want to lose to Kyle. I don't like him. Yeah, no. Losing to somebody you don't like. Feels bad, man. Yeah. Because this happened a lot to Al Borland. Mm-hmm.

21:12 ↗

or we've lost Al Borland on the spitballers. So Kyle needs to go down. His picture's on the graphic. Oh, come on. Gross. Get out of here. Look at that ugly, ugly man. All right. We love you, Kyle. Round one. Sometimes you can't think of a better insult. Then you just repeat. Yeah, yeah. Ugly, ugly man. Ugly, it works. It gets the point done. Like really ugly.

21:41 ↗

I mean, you can see. We put him on the graphic. Like, I'd say it twice. Yeah, we totally did that. Hideos. All right, here we go. Round one. Fact number one. Patrick Mahomes has more pick sixes in his career than Daniel Jones, Gardner, Minshu, Brock Osweiler, Drew Locke, and Mitchell Tribusky combined, which would be one.

22:03 ↗

Patrick Mahomes has won according to this stat. This seems like the kind of stat that Kyle would find. He just starts searching for pick six lists. So I think I'm buying this one because there's two truths one line. I'm buying it. It's just so tough to think that Trubisky has not thrown a pick six. That's true. That's a problem. Andrew Locke and Brock Osweiler and Gardner Minshew and Daniel Jones. All right.

22:30 ↗

Here's the second fact. Rookie Justin Herbert has more passing touchdowns in the NFL than Cam Newton's last three seasons combined. That one seems true because this last year he had almost nothing. He was injured. And then he was injured two years ago. I think this one's got to be true. I can't remember three years ago, Cam Newton. Yeah, that would be 2018 through 2020. All right. That seems true. And then the third one.

22:55 ↗

In 2020, Kurt Cousins had as many games with three or more passing touchdowns as Deshaun Watson and Lamar Jackson combined. I don't think he had that good of a year. He had a good year. I don't think he had, well, I'm saying that good that he would have surpassed Watson and Lamar Jackson. Well, it's just, I know that Kurt Cousins was in the mid-30s.

23:20 ↗

for touchdowns. He threw a lot of them. Everyone threw a lot of touchdowns this year. Yeah, but Watson had a nice year. But a lot of games with three or more. And it's passing touchdowns, right? Because Watson and Lamar had a passing touchdown. A lot of multi-touchdown games. I'm sure they had games with three touchdowns, but how many were rushing. Yeah, okay. So I'm going to say that I'm not sure. I think I'm going to. You seem so confident. I did for a moment, but.

23:51 ↗

We're used to the spitballers podcast where Jeremy is absolutely excellent at these. We've never gone three and oh against them. I imagine Kyle's not good. Well, I'm going to imagine he is good. And I'm going to say number one is the lie. You're getting that Trubisky. Tribisky, I can't take that. You can't tolerate that. You can't tolerate that. So you're believing that the Justin Herbert stat and the her cousin stats are right. Mike?

24:20 ↗

I'm going to let you go next because I'm not sure where to go. Had as many games. Oh, my goodness. So you think the Mahomes one is a lie. I believe, I'm going to take the Kirk Cousins one. I'm going to say that one is the lie. Well, I'm actually going to go with number two is the lie. So one of us is making it through unscathed. What is the right answer, Brooksie? The lie is number two. Oh, man. Justin Herbert has won fewer.

24:50 ↗

than Cam Newton over that time period. Okay. I couldn't remember Cam Newton three years ago. So that means that Mahomes does have more pick sixes. One. One in his career. So no pick six is for Daniel Jones. A pick six is pretty difficult. Not for Trubisky. I mean, I know he hasn't done it, but I feel like he's got the skills to pull that off. When I was quarterback for flag football, I never threw any of those.

25:17 ↗

Well, you threw it. Interceptions are going to happen. One per game, right? But a pick six is like it takes a very particular set of circumstances for the defender to catch it while running and. So Kirk Cousins, more three touchdown or passing touchdown games than Watson and Lamar. Okay. Had more burst games, apparently. Round two. Here we go.

25:40 ↗

Alan Robinson hasn't been the number one fantasy wide receiver in any week since the Obama administration. Wow. That's an excellent. If it's a lie, it's excellent. If it's true, it's excellent. Well crafted. Yeah, the number one fantasy. See, that's, it's true. Alan Robinson doesn't do that with his current circumstances. He doesn't give you. He missed a whole year. He's had two with the bears. But I mean, you're going five years, right? Four and a half years. Yeah, something like that.

26:09 ↗

In 2020, here's the second number or stat. In 2020, there were 160 different wide receivers that saw at least 10 targets. Michael Gallup was the only one who did not have a single reception in the slot. I buy it. I buy them. Michael Gallup on the outside. I don't think I've seen him even come near the slot. Yeah, C.D. Lamb was the real slot king for the Cowboys.

26:37 ↗

And then the third one since 2017, four seasons. Old man Larry Fitzgerald has more top five fantasy weeks than Odell Beckham Jr. Oh, I'm buying that. And I'm loving it. Yeah. So that's four seasons. And that's the lie. You think that's the lie? I'm going to lock it in. I think number three is the lie. I think Alan Robinson.
