New Year's approaches. I'm going to tell you right now. I've been talking about the shows we're doing in the new year. Things like the truth about fantasy running backs and tight ends and wide receivers and quarterbacks are footie awards.

I'm throwing it out there now. We're doing some New Year's resolutions. Oh, I love it. Some fantasy football resolutions, some things that we learned over the last year that we want to commit to in 2017. I was actually talking to Mike like last week about something that I had learned. I want to make sure I write down because for next year, I think it's an important lesson to be learned. So I'll save that for then. Also, Mike, I hope you remember because I don't.

I should have wrote that down I do remember also I brought it up to Jason I don't I don't recall Andy if you gave the affirmative full go on this uh oh the three of us are going to do a playoff bracket challenge yes we are going to fill out the bracket yes whoever has the most accurate bracket through the Super Bowl

There will be the lunch bed, except it is a two for one. So if I win, I get to choose both of your lunches for a week. That is correct. So I'm going, oh, I got to win. Yes. I mean, the glory. This is going to be good. Yeah. Now you have, I mean, you have spectacles now. So we can actually show. Yes, that is true. Explain those. Well, I got to up the, I've been told I got to up the Snapchat game. Yeah, the kids. The young folks. There are some, some older folk like us that like the Snapchat as well.

Not only did they disappoint you last week when you expected more out of DT and Emmanuel Sanders. And you might be stuck playing them, but this week you have a quarterback situation. Trevor sent me in through a through for 39% completion, a 39% completion percentage last week. This week it might be. Is that bad? It's going to be Paxton Lynch most likely. So you've got a rookie.

It's just too hard to depend upon them, even though they're facing Oakland. I don't like them, so I'm pumping the brakes on them for this final game. And I will throw out a long-term consideration that they will go as the quarterback position goes in Denver, unfortunately. That's how wide receivers. That's how they work in Dynasty League. Yeah, we've seen them happen a lot this season. And I sat down to do my pump-to-breaks with the Tyrod Taylor News. I thought, oh, this is going to be easy.

Now you got to pump the brakes on the pass catchers for Buffalo, and I said, Charles Clay, he's been on fire, right? I'm going to pump the brakes. Uh, no, no, that was incorrect. Charles Clay, in fact, the game splits with E.J. Manuel's receptions are about double. So I'm not, uh, first I'm not saying Charles Clay is an absolute must start, but saying I'm not going to pump the brakes on him when it seemed to make sense. But Manuel apparently feeds the tight end.

Instead, I'm going on the other side of Andy's game. I'm going with the Oakland wide receivers. Derek Kai. Can't send in the car. Now you have. McGloin. Send in the McLeon. You got McGloin coming in. You pile that on top of the Denver D.Bs are just elite, the elite of the elite. I'm finding a different option. You got Amari Cooper. I'm going to try and sit him down. I've been...

told by Oakland fans that I should not underestimate Matt McLean. Although it sounded a lot like how I used to talk when I said, well, Drew Stanton's really got a shot. So it's not so much that the guy can't surprise. It's the fact you can't rely on it. That's what we talk about in fantasy. It's the fact of McLeon plus Denver. Yeah, I mean, nobody's been able to throw. That's going to be a shot right in the Mcloin. Yeah, that's not a... Nobody's been able to throw on Denver the whole year.

It's not going to be Matt McGloin to get it done. For my pump the brakes, I'm looking a little bit more towards the future and possibly this week. I'm pumping the breaks on Melvin Gordon a little bit. I like it. This is our last pump the brakes of the season. And so I wanted to look a little bit more forward. If Melvin Gordon plays this week.

which is really up in the air. He wasn't at practice yet this week. I don't think he'll play. If he plays, he might just want to get those three yards, get out of the game. We have one more pump the brakes, just so you know. All right. We've got to playoff pump the brakes next Wednesday. I would love so very much if they put Melvin Gordon in just to get his three yards. Oh, that would be awesome. Yes. I would, I would like respect the coach. That's what I said. He loses five on his first carry, and then he's going back. Well, then you'd just pull him.

No, you got to keep him in until he gets that thousand. But here's what I'm actually saying is that Melvin Gordon next year is going to be looked at as, you know, one of those top five, six, seven running backs. You asked the question yesterday is, is it Gurley or Gordon? Yeah, who's actually better? And we have to remember what happened this year for Melvin Gordon to have that sweet magical stretch of the season. It took losing every other running back on the roster to be the guy. And I think we're going to project him to be.

The guy. Like he's going to be in on first, second, third down. That's not what the team wants to do. They want to have a Danny Woodhead or they want to have somebody else in there to give him rest. And look what happened. They lost him this year having to overwork him. So I'm saying next year, Melvin Gordon, he's going to be a good back, but he's not going to be one of those top five guys. This is the time of year. It will be an interesting situation because Woodhead's a free agent this year. I don't know if they're an injury prone. I don't know if they can resign him.

uh we we've talked a little bit off the show about uh there's some college players now making a business decision to sit out of a bowl game but to get ready for the draft and uh there's been some support but there's been a lot of people poo pooing these athletes saying well you're getting out there and play this is what you're supposed to do even though they could they're at risk of losing millions of dollars well you see mike they don't they won't get their game check from that bowl game though but meanwhile now you have the buffalo head office saying

Uh, we're not going to play a guy because if he gets hurt, we're going to have to pay him a lot of money. I don't hear anyone crushing them saying that this is just super greedy that you're not playing your best players. You said they're going to put, oh, Mike. Oh, yes, voice of public opinion. But Mike, the college guys are kids. And that's also known as slaves. They have to do what the grownups say. It's, it's a terrible situation. But I just wanted to point out the, uh, the, the, the irony here of.

that the billionaires can make these decisions, and the kids who are trying to get their first paycheck, they're the ones who are in the wrong. Yeah, regarding the fantasy situation in Buffalo, I think it's too early to just say that the offensive coordinator is going to get that job. He's the interim head coach, but you don't name someone as the interim head coach. No, they've already come out and said that he's the... Oh, for real? Yeah, he's by far the frontrunner to be the... Well, there's a difference between being a front runner and being the head coach, right?
