I was looking up some stats, some splits today. And I wanted to see how Antonio Brown performed with Marcus Wheaton and with Martavis Bryant. And what I wanted to look at is I looked at Antonio Brown in games over the last two years when Marcus Wheaton had 50 or more yards. And Antonio Brown was...

insanely more productive when Wheaton had 50 or more yards to the tune of 16, basically a touchdown a game average. So 16 touchdowns a season, over 2,000 yard pace whenever Wheaton had 50 or more. And then I looked at Martavis and I said, well, how did he do when Martavis had 50 or more? Same pace. So when Martavis or Wheaton had 50 or more yards on the other side, Brown basically averaged 2,000 yards 16 touchdown. Basically when the Steelers were rolling.

Brown is better, right? Makes sense. You could say that, but there is a perception, right, where if he's getting all the targets and all the yards and nobody else is performing around him, that must be better. Julio Jones has been in that boat. It's not better. Yeah, the real question here is Marcus Wheaton, I think. Okay, so that's what I want to bring that up. I know Mike has opinions on Wheaton. I tend to think that Wheaton is pretty viable. I think the two guys across the table from me disagree with each other. So why don't you talk? We do.

Well, oh, we, yes. I thought we all kind of disagreed. Are you with Andy on Team Wheaton? We'll see. Give your take, and then I'll spit some fire in your face. All right. Should I hit, I mean, are we doing a full-on face-off? We can make it official. Let's do this. Okay. Wow. Fantasy face-off. I was not prepared for a full-on face-off, but I will give my- That's why it's even better. I will give my take. Here's the deal, Foot Clan. If you look at Marcus Wheaton, he was given a spectacular opportunity.

to seize the wide receiver two position for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Martavis Bryant was suspended for four games, and then he had that weird, is he injured, is he not injured, but he didn't play. So he missed five games. And so you think, okay, well, Wheaton's going to get production. But the fact of the matter is Marcus Wheaton was better. He was almost three points better per game when Martavis Bryant played, which to me says,

that Marcus Wheaton is not a true number two. He is what he is at this point. He's coming into the fourth year of his career. So at this point, it would shock me. And I think here is the kind of the hot take that might surprise people and that I believe my esteemed colleague over here finds a disgusting take. Well, I know where you're going now. Yeah, well, I'll start it off with.

I like Sammy Coates as do I. As the potential flyer for the Steelers much, much more than Marcus Wheaton. Where I get nuts, if you want to get nuts, let's get nuts. Look at the splits last year, smaller sample size. But like I said, Marcus Wheaton's points went down when Martavis Bryant was not in the game.

When Martavis Bryant was not in the game, you know who was actually viable? Darius Hayward Bay, the guy they signed immediately during the offseason when they knew that Martavis Bryant was going to be suspended. His production actually goes way, way, way up in the games that Martavis Bryant did not play. All right, the floor is Jason's. Okay, so here's what I think. I think I like Sammy Coates as well. I definitely like Sammy Coates a lot more than Darius Hayward Bay. And I think he's got a viable opportunity here to come in.

Be a good player. You know, the Pittsburgh, the Steelers, they don't like using their rookie wide receivers, but then they kind of unleash them. So Coates, I'm all about. But Wheaton, I don't think Wheaton stinks. Beforehand, we had a conversation in here about whether Wheaton was good enough or not. He's coming into his fourth year. He had the opportunity, and there's this perception that he stinks. Because in the beginning of last year, when he had that opportunity, as the number two, you're right, Mike. He wasn't that good. But here's.

how Marcus Wheaton finished the year. Okay, so the last, they had a week 11 buy, and from 12 to 17, which is a good chunk of that season, he went from before the buy, averaging, getting about three targets a game to getting almost eight targets a game. 4.3 recept, 4.67 receptions per game, 0.6 touchdowns per game.

79 yards per game. Do you want to know, Mike, Mike, do you want to know where he ranked in, from weeks 12 to 17, the last five weeks of the year? I don't think you do, Mike. Oh, no, I would like to hear this. Well, let's take a guess. Where do you think? I'll put him in the wide receiver two range. Ooh, I did not think you would do that. Well, you would be wrong because he was a wide receiver. One, he was the 12 ranked wide receiver from weeks 12 on.

Now he's coming into another opportunity. I just don't think a guy who was able to put up those kind of numbers for that chunk of a season with Big Ben is going to come into an opportunity and then all of a sudden go, no, I don't know how to play football. All right. I'm going to call it. I'm calling it. The fantasy face off is over. I'm going to share my thoughts on this.

I have one quick points. Oh, so you need a counterpoint. Well, my quick counterpoint was just to talk the actual numbers for Darius Hayward Bay in the games where Mark Davis Bryant was not playing. He was averaging about 10 PPR points a game as opposed to 2.4. Those are those PPR points of the week? Yeah. All right. And Hayward missed a bunch of games last year. So those games win. Marcus Wheaton was so great. Guess who was not playing? Whatever.
