Are you good, Jay? Brooks, everything sounds good to you? Yeah, I'm good. All right, all right. We have a PPR mock draft on the show today. These are always a blast. And we're going to go through, I think we're picking from the eighth spot in a 12-team PPR mock draft. That is correct. Two running backs, two wide receivers, a flex, quarterback. I guess we're going to draft a kicker. Yeah, this is a. Canisaro. Maybe.

Don't you put that evil on. That's not drafting a kicker. Correct. Yeah. And, you know, this is a really important time of year to do mock drafts because what you're going to see now that the rookies have kind of started to establish themselves, you get to see where they will rise to and get the feel for when that rise stops. Because right now in most mock drafts, you're probably going to be getting rookies still if you're going by kind of average draft position.

a little bit cheaper than they will come come draft day. You know, as they are more commonly drafted in ADPs. So watch the rise of rookies and don't overreact. Yeah, we do mock drafts frequently. Mock draft shows just to give you a gauge of where everybody's moving around. That'll give you an idea of value as you approach yours. So quick question, guys. What team, what NFL team could be a surprise?

from a fantasy football perspective for the 2017 season. So you don't get to throw out Atlanta or Green Bay or New England, the teams that were already stalwarts in terms of fantasy points. Who's your surprise or a team that could surprise in 2017? For my surprise pick, you might have to pick up a, what's that antinagia medicine? Dramamine. You might need to run to the store. Take a couple of dramas. Pause the show.

and come back because I am throwing out a terrible new york jets yeah you got to convince me on this one because when right you know a couple minutes ago i was like hey who's yours and you said that and i was like no seriously yeah here's here's the deal why i'm saying the jets because i think there could be multiple pieces of later round guys you can get there's a there's a report here

on Blau Powell, a personal favorite of the show from ESPN that they think at ESPN, they're projecting he may be the lead back, and we saw what he can do as the lead back. Quincy and Noonwa showed on the field that he is actually a decent player. Meanwhile, in the shadows, you have Eric Decker, who the world has forgotten about. He may or may not be on the team, and this project, I'm saying that he certainly is on the team. And you have a bad defense.

And then you got Josh McCount, who certainly brings fantasy value that people just throw away. I mean, you have years and years of him now later in his career with Chicago, Tampa, the Cleveland Browns of him doing serious work for fantasy players. Will you be streaming Josh McCown at some point this season? I imagine I will be.

Yeah, I will be too. How does that make you feel? Do you take a couple more drama me? I'm always fine. I guess I was going to say my, the big surprise to me then, based on what you're saying, isn't that the Jets can have some fantasy relevant pieces that are going to, you know, come late in the draft. It's that maybe the fantasy surprise could be Josh McCown stays healthy. Yeah, isn't that?

That is what I do not expect to happen. As soon as that happens, then the rest of the pieces are destroyed. I'll go with mine. I mean, if that's true, then Hakenberg, well, if, if Robbie Anderson's still on the team, maybe Hakenberg comes in and just throws 300 targets at him per game. Yeah, we'll have to see if he's still on the team after. I'm just saying that the New York Jets are going to be basically left for dead for fantasy because they're such a bad team that I think that people are going to be surprised, as we are every year. Like, oh, they're a really bad team, yet they still have.

Fantasy productive players. Yeah, I mean, that's the thing. A lot of times bad teams still have really good fantasy assets. The team that I want to throw out there, they have the all-time NFL's most accurate quarterback. I'm not talking about Drew Brees. I'm talking about a single season, Sam Bradford. I'm going to throw out the Minnesota Vikings because...

They did not score a lot of points last year in the NFL, like real points, which translate to. What other points could you possibly be talking about? Fantasy points. Oh, okay. So like real, they did not score that much last year. Fake points. And so. Collegiate. If that changes, I think you've got a quarterback who can move the ball. You know, he can build the yards. He just doesn't usually throw touchdowns. And so you've got a lot of weapons there. What do you build out of yards?

You build a stat sheet full of yards. Can I get a grizzly bear roar here? No. There it is. We'll just run this in the background. Listen to the weapons that they have. I mean, we know here that we're a fan of Adam Thielen. Yes. You know, he's got a great value. Stefan Diggs.

was also very good. I think Kyle Rudolph is one of the better tight ends in the league. And last year, you say what you will about how bad the offensive line and maybe Latavius Murray, but Latavius Murray alone is an upgrade. You add Dalvin Cook, and I would say both of those guys, I know that there are truthers out there for Derek McKinnon, but he's not good. He's just an athletic guy. That's my, like I have never thought he's good. I just think he's a spark freak, and people want him to be good. Oh, like Kristen Michael.

Very similar. Very, very similar. So to me, I think their running game will be improved over Matt Ozziata and Derek McKinnon. Their passing game, if the weapons are healthy, you still have Laquan Treadwell coming in. And today they signed Michael Floyd. So I think the weapons are there to surprise. Sure. Yeah, I mean, this is a prediction based on surprising. And you make a good point, Dalvin Cook coming in there, more dynamic offense. If we were giving out teams.

And the other two people on the show were not, well, I'm surprised by that. Then it's not really a surprise. Well, right. I wanted to go Chargers because I think they're going to be monstrous, but that's not really that surprise. No, they were actually, yeah, they were up there in point score last year, 24.9 a game, the Chargers were. So they're towards the top. I'm going to go with the Buffalo Bills. Is that a surprise enough for you? Absolutely for me. And here's why. You have Sean McDermott coming in there, and we know that LaShawn McCoy is going to be fantasy relevant. That's not a surprise. He's going to be good.

But I'm going to throw this out there. They were a team that could score last year, but you had this disproportionate amount of rushing yardage, right? 165 yards game led the league by far. And I'm not saying that they will go all the way away from that type of an attack. But you bring in Zay Jones, a healthy Sammy Watkins. You have Charles Clay, who is good for 50 catches a year and 600 yards. And you had an efficient enough Tyrone Taylor that I think...

If the pendulum swings a little bit towards the passing game, all of a sudden you have some relevance coming out of the passing weapons on this team, assuming they can stay healthy. And so I think Buffalo is in a position where that could happen. Rebuilding teams in the division, teams I think they can at least compete against, like, you know, a couple games against New York this year. And a team that scored the 10th most points in the game last year, I don't know. Zay Jones, how did you stat him out this year?

I have Zay Jones essentially filling in the Robert Woods role. So, I mean, whatever Woods was capable of doing, I don't think that Zay Jones can come in and necessarily take over. Jay Jones or Quincy and Nunewa this year? Innuir. Okay. And I mean, for the rushing yards, for that, those are always going to stay somewhat high because you have tie rod averages, what, 50 a game? Is Jonathan Williams relevant is here? He certainly could be. As of now. As of right now, yes, he would be.

I don't understand how it's possible. But always in the news, Kristen Michael, visiting the Patriots on Tuesday. His PR team, they are some of the best in the business. They send out that spark sheet that I'm talking about. This guy can't get out of the news. And, of course, my Twitter feed blew up with this news. And I was, I went full Jesse Spano. I'm so excited.

I'm so scared because I have Mike Gillisly on my two biggest teams. And I need Chris and Michael. I need this to simply be a filling out your emergency roster. Yes. I was going to call. I was going to say, let me calm your fears because if they sign him, it's not, I cannot imagine Chris and Michael coming in and shaking things up. He'd be a practice squad type of that. This is for the eventual running back injury. Right.

and so that he can unlock the achievement for being cut from every national football team. The Patriots did extend, explain this one, Mike. The Patriots, three or four running back moves a day, it seems like. Now they've extended a one-year, $1.1 million, May 9th, Tinder to Lageret Blunt. And people reading this probably or getting a notification on their Apple Watch, like Jason did earlier, might think they signed Ligera Blunt. No, they are, in fact, doing the opposite. They are.

savagely destroying Ligarit Blunt's 2017 season. What they have done, look, they... That seems fair after 18 touchdowns last year in a Super Bowl. Yeah, they are not happy, clearly, that he would not sign, and they have said, fine, you don't sign with us, you sign with nobody. So now until this point, until July 22nd, that's when Lerick Blunt can sign with another team. And now because of this tender, which is never used, he's the only free agent in the NFL, this tender was used on this season.
