Could Josh Jacobs get back to us? I would be just as happy in that situation. Yeah, but a lot of whiteouts on the board. Stefan Diggs is still on the board. Yeah, he's great. Be pretty happy with Edelman. All right, let's take Freeman, sure up another veteran back. I want two running backs who have knee worries. Yeah. And Todd Gurley and Devons Freeman. Solid. What running back doesn't? Stefan Diggs, Amari Cooper finished the round. Derek Henry, Philip Lindsay, start the next round.

136 passagesMike, I'm going to let you make this next pick on behalf of our team. We have Gurley and Freeman running back. We have Beckham and Wide Receiver. Some names on the board, Ingram, Carson, Caryon Johnson. Josh Jacobs, still there. At the wide receiver position, Robert Woods is there after the big season. Brandon Cooks is there. Julian Edelman. Kenny Galladay. Man, so this is our...
We're not looking quarterback. We're not looking tight in. The draft is headed back in. So we are a lot of picks away. So it probably becomes down to between Robert Woods and Julian Edelman for me. And it's like what is your level of confidence? Do you like Woods over Brandon Cooks? I do. See, I have cooks higher. Jason, do you have? I have cooks ahead of Woods, but I mean, they're super close together.
Edelman over both. Yeah, okay. I have Edelman over all the Rams wide receivers as well. I think Edelman's going to have an absolute monster season. All right, I'm going to draft Edelman since we all kind of agree there. I will say this, as we have 18 picks to wait, and I assume another quarterback's going to go off the board here. Edelman, fourth round pick. A lot of people roll their eyes at the idea that Edelman's going to have a big year. He's 32 years old. Significant injuries repeatedly.
an aging Tom Brady. No more Grancowski to take attention away. He's going to do his thing. He's going to get hurt. He doesn't do it over the course of a long, you know, he may have a pace, right? Every year we're talking about, boy, Edelman was on pace for blah, blah, blah, blah. Why do you like him this year? Because of his pace. Because last year it was the suspension. And so he missed the four games. As soon as he came back, he was the wide receiver eight.
From that time until the end of the season, he was 0.3 points per game behind Michael Thomas, a half point behind Juju, 0.7 points per game behind T.Y. Hilton. He was an absolute beast. And I think that the addition of Nikiel Harry, that can squelch out some of those concerns about Grunk. And Edelman actually.
has dominated on those games where Rob Gruncowski is out. Well, Gronk wasn't Gronk last year. Sure. But he is the focal point of the passing game. It's all about short passing. Tom Brady's, Tom Brady's Deep Ball is not what it used to be. And the team plays around that. Yeah, and it goes to Edelman. They're going to play with Edelman. I mean, he's going to get so many targets. This is a half point per reception league that we're drafting in. If you look at 2016, that's the real market. That's when.
The Patriots lost Grunk for a major part of that season, and Edelman was the savior. I mean, you know, even having Grong for half that season, you're talking to 159 targets, 98 receptions. They need Edelman more than ever, and there was nothing on film age-wise that made me believe he's going to slow down. If you go back and look at age 32 West Welker in the same system, he's fantastic. So people are going, Edelman will.
We'll drop further than this, but there's no way he could have came back to us. Exactly. And honestly, my litmus test for, does Edelman still have it? Bill Belichick thinks Edelman still has it. The New England Patriots, as soon as you are done, they get rid of you. They don't bring you back and say, well, you were so great for our team. I mean, so I think they would have gotten rid of him. They would have cut him. They would have moved on if they felt that he was done. Mark Ingram went right after Edelman.
Carry on, Carson, Rogers at 407. I was going to ask the question if somehow Rogers got back to our 510, whether you'd be tempted. Torek Cohen, Cooper Cup, Brandon Cooks, Robert Woods, Tyreek Hill at 412. Now, this is funny because there's no world where Tyreek Hill goes at 412. Right. He's going here as a result as a byproduct of the unknown. He's going to be either a first round pick or a second round pick or he's not going to be picked or he's going to be an 11th 12th round pick.
This is representative of the fears out there. Obviously, if you're in like a basketball league, some people probably taking Tyree Killing. They're taking the chance. They're taking a chance. Andrew Locke Baker Mayfield starting the fifth round. Darius Geis, Jarvis Landry, Kenny Galladay, Calvin Ridley, Josh Jacobs, Kenyon, Drake, and Eric Ebron, we're on the clock at 510. Jason, what's on your mind? What are you looking at? Our team, Beckham, Edelman, Freeman, Gurley. Before you talk about...
how you want to do or what you want to do with the pick. Have you done Miami stats? I have not done Miami. Have you done any stats? I have done over half. I work nonstop. Noon to night. No. All right. All right. Fine. I was trying to be nice to you and let you answer the Kenyan Drake question since he's your boy. Andy, what's your temperature on the Miami backfield? Do you have Drake as the lead guy?
I have Drake as the leading fantasy score. Okay. Yes. Okay. Because of his ability in the passing game is much more prolific. Belage last year had nine catches. Drake had 53. To be fair to Belage, though, he really didn't even start playing until the end of the year. No, that's true. And he did show some of that in college at Arizona State. But Drake is established in the passing game. And he can make explosive plays.
I am at 450 receiving yards, and that simply makes the difference for me. So, yes, I have Drake higher. No, I'm not excited or bullish about a Miami running game. We don't know who the quarterback's going to be. I tend to think it's going to be Josh Rosen. I do have Drake as a fringe RB2. Okay, that's right around where I have. So, Drake. Oh, no. Oh, no. Wow, the public has not been here in quite some time. But four quarterbacks are gone.
And Deshaun Watson is still there. He's like, I know he's Jason's number two quarterback. Out of what? The three teams you've statted so far? I will say this. He's ahead of Aaron Rogers in my stats. So I don't think he's moving from number two based on who I have. He is my number three quarterback. And so I want to bring this up because he is my number three quarterback. Okay. So there we go. So he's our consensus. Which surprised me. I thought some of us would have luck higher than him.
Yeah, I mean, it makes sense. But people are going to be on the clock. They hear us talk about don't draft the quarterback early. And they didn't. They didn't take one of the first four. But now they're in the fifth round. They don't love the options. Deshaun Watson is very highly ranked. And they're going to be asking themselves, should I take Deshaun Watson? So explain why it would be a bad idea or maybe it's the right pick there. I don't think I'd do it. You know, if my number two quarterback, man, if my number two quarterbacks on the board at 510,
and I really believed in it. I don't blame you for doing it. With the 18-pick wait coming up. Maybe you wait and try to give it to turn at 6.03. I think last year, if we had been talking about, you know, Aaron Rogers in that vein, we would have been okay with it. But there's just too much value on the board at the other positions to me. And there's too many other quarterbacks. To me, the quarterback talent this year, because of the running... That's why it's hard. Because of the running quarterbacks. Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, Kyler Murray, these are all players, you know...
Drew Breeze, Mount Ryan still on the board. Russell Wilson's still on the board. Carson Wins, who I like still on the board, Jared, golf, Cam Newton. That's why. That's the answer. You just don't need to. And the reality is if you talk about, well, look what Pat Mahomes did for everybody last year. That's because he was so far in a way better than the number two. So if you're talking about getting the number two, you're not going to be separated from the pack. And to add to your point, it wasn't just that. I mean, yes, Mahomes would have probably
paid off on a second round draft pick last year. But maybe not. You didn't pay it. Even if, yeah, you didn't pay it. If you did pay it, maybe you didn't have the other weapons to get to the championship game. It was the value mixed with the production. We're sitting here on the clock. We need to make a pick. I don't want to go quarterback. I know you guys don't want to go quarterback. Godwin. Mike Williams at the wide receiver. You got running backs like Lamar Miller, Tevin Coleman. Lamar Miller would be who I would go with.
David Montgomery. We're running out of starting running backs. And Lamar Miller, as of right now, it's still just Deontay Foreman behind him. Now I know we're multiple years removed from Foreman's devastating injury. But Lamar Miller is just what is dead cannot die. And we're talking about how much we like to Sean Watson. His quarterback. We love his offense.
No, there aren't other starters. James White may have the same production, but we have Julian Edom on the team. I wanted to bring that up. There's a perfect example of mocking, forcing me to change my future strategy. If I could go back in time, I would have taken Stefan Diggs or a different wide receiver knowing that we could take James White here. Because I think James White's going to be a great high floor. We could not have taken Diggs, just for the record. Edelman went after Diggs.
Oh, okay. Whoever was... Because I was going to feel dumb in a... It would have been one of the Rams. It would have been cop or cooks or woods. Whoever... I would have taken one of them and James White. But I don't think we can have both Edelman and White. We don't want to stack this many early picks. Really? I think James White's going to have a massive regression year. Oh, that's... We're going to end up having a waterbed on that one. Why?
Dony Michelle can't catch passes. No, but Damien Harris can. Damien Harris or Rex Burkhead can. And James White, like he went from, we're talking a career where he's getting 39 attempts, 43, completely doubled that, jumped all the way up to 94, had five rushing touchdowns last year when he'd had two rushing touchdowns in his career. I'll be honest. I couldn't give a crap about his rushing. That's not the part.
That's not the part that makes the hay for me. Okay, but I haven't gotten there yet. I haven't gotten there yet. I haven't gotten there yet. All right. And then he went from 86 target 72 to 123. There was, there was a massive bump right in the middle of the season for James White when everybody was hurt. I don't think, I think James White is a fine pick. He's a fine auxiliary running back, but I think that.
He's going to be overdrafted this year if you are thinking you're going to get anything close to last year's production. I think it's somewhere between the 2016 and 2017 type of production. I will buy most of that argument. I won't really lean on the Damian Harris can catch passes. Rex Burkhead can catch passes aspect of it because this is the James White that's brought them through the playoffs. This is the James White that is the dependable.
best friend of Tom Brady on the field, there's no reason to say, oh, I'm going to let somebody else catch passes now. A good argument would be to say, like you did, that tons of players were injured, byproduct of, you know, just being overtargeted, too many rushing attempts, and now they got Nikiel Harry and Harris and Ellington and other options. I believe that. I believe you could be right. Lamar Miller will take him, one of the last starters, Alshan, Jeffrey, O.J. Howard, DJ, Moore, Chris Godwin, Jason.
is crying because Chris Godwin went right ahead of us. Yeah, well, I'm more crying because we took Lamar Miller ahead of Derek Henry, but whatever. I know this is a really, really, wait, we didn't take them ahead of Derek Henry. Where are you? Oh, I'm a lunatic. All right. You don't stat. You don't pay attention to the draft. What are you doing here? I'm the buffoon of the show. Derek Henry. Derek Henry, uh, guys, I really wanted Mike Evans with that last pick. I'm a little disappointed. You should have taken him. Derek Henry went much earlier in the fourth round, thankfully for our.
own pick. I was going to ask you, Jason, where you had Chris Godwin statted. But I was afraid to ask it. Yeah. Because I don't think you have it. No, I do have it. Chris Godwin, I have statted ahead of Alshan. I had him statted ahead of, you know, a lot of players in that tier. I think Chris Godwin's a good pick. Mike, McCall Hardman, Chris Godwin today. Oh, my goodness.
Nico Hardman is, he was another one of those guys words, what do you do? Because he is, he is a rookie, but his opportunity could be so incredibly massive. Like an opportunity that is a once in a lifetime thing when you're playing fantasy football, a rookie inheriting a starting job, inheriting the speed roll for a guy who just, how many, how many touchdowns? 50. 50.
I mean, that's preposterous. And now he doesn't have Tyree Kill. But if I had to do it right now today, I would take Godwin. Yeah, you have to. Meiko Hardman, I realize he's coming into a great position. My rankings do not say you have to. Oh, then you need to go double check your me Cole because who's better? Who's better? Meiko Hardman or Tyree Kill? Tyree Kill. Tyree Kill. Tyree Kill. So we hope me, Cole can be as good as Tyree Kill.
