Like every now and then you'll finish reading that question and go, oh, okay, okay, but it's really going to take an overwhelming offer. It's going to take something where it's like... You better have an abundance of riches. I mean, to me, it would require I'm getting C.D. Lamb or Justin Jefferson plus. And people aren't... looking to trade C.D. Lamb and Justin Jefferson plus stuff. So I don't know. I think, you know, Justin, Jamar Chase should just be thought of as untouchable. I mean, go try to, go try to acquire him. The thing is, either a team feels strong enough that they're going to make a run and they're going to say, no way. Jamar Chase, I'm trying to win a championship this year. And that's about the best player I can have on my team to win a championship. Or you go to someone who's rebuilding.

Like, no way. And you're like, no way, this is the best rebuilding wide receivers you could possibly have. Yeah. What you need to do is right now, go look in your league. If you're not the Jamar Chase manager, Jamar Chase manager, and then you look at that team and you say, okay, what do I know about, you know, that guy? Oh, he's a Packers fan. Oh, he's a Cowboys fan or he's whatever. How can I try to swindle him out of Jamar Chase, offer a huge package, and then see if you get lucky. Otherwise, move on. Next question is Tyler off of IG said, oh, trade Ashton Genti for CD Lamb. Okay, I know my answer. This is pretty philosophical. It is. And I'm, you know, for me, it's, it's very, very easy. So I'm curious where, where you stand. Is that difficult question? I think it's difficult because it feels a whole lot cooler to have Ashton Genty on your roster right now.

Because he's the hotness. He's the new hotness. He should be like this perennial top five fantasy running back for the next three to five years. Should be. But C.D. Lamb is that. And C.D. Lamb is a five-year age gap. C.D. Lamb is 26 and Ashty is 21. Oh, man. So I guess you start with the question with. How many years do you feel like CD Lamb has left to be a top producer? Four. Okay. If you're getting it. So four years, and then Genti is like five or six. Yeah, but I would, it doesn't matter what running back. When we're talking right at the beginning, I'm not, don't count those chickens. Yeah, with the money back. No, you, you say, okay. I'd say, I hope I get three. He's generational. Maybe he plays.

like Saquan great at age 28. And you get seven years. That could happen. Maybe he's Todd Gurley, who's also great. Yeah. And is the number one running back in fantasy football and it goes and vanishes into thin air. Running backs, you cannot count on the second contract. That's why like the age thing with RJ Harvey. Yeah. He's older. And that's not great. You know, if it's fine for this. first run. But the first contract is what I care about the most. So to me, it's an easy CD lamb. I want the wide receiver over the running back in dynasty formats. I've got, you know, if this was a startup draft, I'm drafting a handful of wide receivers before I, you know, I'm going to, I'm going to take Pook. I'm going to take Malik neighbors. I'm going to take Brian Thomas Jr. I'm going to take Amin-Ross, St. Brown, before I start taking Bejohn, who I have ahead of Gentie. Yeah. Is Ashton Gentie? Is he Bijon? Or is he Leonard Fournet?

Like when you had the 101 and you got Leonard Fournette because he was taking, what, fourth overall in the NFL draft? It was, Kyle, you can vet me on that one. But it was, like, that one felt fantastic. Yeah, fourth overall for Leonard Fournett. And he was. And he was good. He was good. Oh, the dump truck. Yeah, that's the thing. He had to turn into the dump truck. Yeah. That's where things got with Leonard Fournett very quick. You could just grab the little dump offs with that but donk, donk, don't. And he wasn't good, but he was fine enough for fantasy. This next question is from Gallywag eight off of IG. What do I do with Jaden Reed? Green Bay Packers, wide receiver. He's entering year three. He just turned 25. And here we are. The Packers.

Look, Matthew Golden in the first round, Savion Williams in the third round, which Williams is a different type of wide receiver. Apparently, we are told through the grapevine that I think the drafting of these wide receivers ruffled some feathers in the Jaden Reed. camp and they had to meet. Well, Drew Rosenhaus is his agent and so you don't stand for that. He wants another big contract here soon. I like how they said they had to meet to talk about his to make sure that he knows his role is secure. And it was like his role is a part-time player. Yeah, his role is not going to change. His role is a 60% snap slot wide receiver. Yeah. He's basically what they told him. He's a good player. Basically what they told him is

He's still their number one wide receiver. Still. It was like, oh, I was the number one. That's awesome. You didn't play the snap counts. Like, Jane Reed is a very good player. Finished as, you know, rookie season, top 24 wide receiver. He is very frustrating. Yes. This year, I imagine he will be even more frustrating. Adding Matthew Golden, having. Romeo Dobbs still on the roster, Dantavian Wicks still on the roster, adding in Savian Williams, having Tucker Kraft. There are so many mouths to feed. All of these people will make the roster, and all of these people will play snaps. This is the type of offense where they are rotating in different packages, and you're going to have some awesome games, two touchdown games from Jaden Reed, and you are going to have so many games that absolutely blow chunks and hurt you.

I don't. I mean, put it this way. I haven't heard that one in a while. He was the wide receiver 26. His consistency rating is a D. 35% of his games did he hit our threshold of 10.5 fantasy points. 35, the vast majority of time, you are unhappy with him. And now there is the chance that Matthew Golden, I don't, I don't. I don't think Matthew Golden is that dude, but there is the absolute chance that Matthew Golden, a very good athletic, now first round wide receiver in the NFL draft, comes in and takes that number one spot that apparently was Jaden Reed. So Jaden Reed has a place. I view him going forward as a bench player who I'm going to start in the matchups I want. I mean, that's what I hope. I mean, depending on how good your roster is. So this was our roster. Yes.

This was a trade we just made today. I didn't even know about this question. We got offered an offer for Jaden Reed. And we were like, huh, do we do this? And the offer, it might sound crazy at first. It was Tyree Kill incoming for Jaden Reed. Yep. Just the one for one swap. Is it? And so the stage of that, this is a team that Jason and I managed together. And this team is very old. Jaden Reed was like one of our only youthful pieces. Uh-huh. Well, we've got Derek Henry. Yeah. Oh, yeah. We got Travis Kelsey. Yeah. Oh, yeah. We got Devonty Adams. Yeah. We got Mike Evans. Oh, yeah. I mean, these are good players. They're going to put up some fantasy points this year. And now we have Tyree Kill because we took that trade. We did. Because we had the discussion of what is.

This, this was the question. Like, what do we do with Jaden Reed? Who is, he is a good NFL wide receiver. The fact that you had the year two that you did where, yeah, he saw an improvement in snaps, but he saw a downtick in targets. He was more efficient, especially because of week one on the, on that busted field in Brazil. Jaden Reed was supposed to come in and take that second year wide receiver leap forward and be awesome. And in week one, he had four receptions, 138 yards, a touchdown through the air, a 33 yard rushing touchdown. In addition, was 31 points that fantasy week and was the number one wide receiver in fantasy football last year. And people were making unbelievable.

trade offers to try to acquire him. Yes. If you take that single week out, which I think is fair, it was the first week of the NFL season. I think because of field conditions where like the defense couldn't respond because they were all falling over. Yeah. The rest of the season, weeks two through 18, 16 games, also known as an old school full season, he would have had. 54 receptions for 763 yards and five touchdowns. I mean, that's just irrelevance. Yeah. So he's a good wide receiver. You're going to be frustrated. He's a best ball type of guy for me. I want his good games, but I don't want to have to, I don't want to have to play the games where it's like 50% of snaps. He was three for 26 against San Francisco. Against Chicago, two for 23 against Houston. Two for 10. Like his bad games aren't like.

There's no baseline. They are destructive. So sometimes a player like that can just be a landmine. And he's going to help you 35% of the time, actively hurt you 65% of time. He should probably try to get something out of them. So speaking of Tyree Kill, we got another question here from Zach off of IG who said, I don't know which side they're on, but this is the question. Kyron Williams or. Tyreek Hill and a 2027 first round pick. Hmm. Mm-hmm. Tyreek recently turned 31, had that awful, a massive dip of a year. I mean, what's funny is if you're just tuning back in this year or you're new to the fantasy footballers and you haven't listened like this off season, I have pretty much declared myself out on Tyree Kill. You know, I don't. Second half was much.

better, but this was not a, he was not putting up the points of a top tier wide. Yeah, and at that age, you don't usually bounce back back to the previous younger production. And we saw a change of style into us. So I'm kind of not super thrilled that I don't expect Tyreek Hill to be awesome again, and he's old. So Kyron Williams for Tyreek and a first. It's a lot. That's a, I mean. That's a lot. I love Karen Williams. I believe in him. I am not worried about Jarquez. I'm not worried about Blake Corum. I said this a bunch last year. And then, you know, it was one of my things to remember on the things to remember episode was like, when you bring in a rookie, if you've gotten established a veteran who's good, stop worrying about it. And they brought in, you know, they brought in a quorum last year. And everyone was like, oh, third round. It's going to be a timeshare. And then.

And then somehow Kyron got more snaps. It was like crazy. So I believe in Kyron 100%. To me, this comes down to like, how can you hold out until this contract comes? Right. Because if I knew the contract negotiations are going on with Kyron. There's reports that like they're hopeful to get something done. And usually when those reports happen, they come to fruition. Not always. If something came out tomorrow. that Kyron just got, you know, a four-year extension, pretty much like a, you know, a three-year real guaranteed contract. I would take the Kyron over the Tyreek in the first. Okay. We're going to hit another break here real quick, but Jay, I'm going to get you a question. I want you to ponder because I'm trying to think of Jamar Chase. Like, how do you even get it? It's like, okay, let's say the situation is your team, your wide receiver depth is actually pretty good. And you have Jamar. Okay.

Someone comes along and they offer you Ashton Genti and Omerian Hampton. Okay? So think about that and we'll be right back. Before the break, I posed a question to my best friend of the day, Jason. If he had Jamar and wide receiver depth and needed running back, would you trade Jamar Chase, the number one player in Dynasty for Ashton Genty and Omerian Hampton? Okay, let's think through this. Well, first of all, I do think that the wide receiver depth matters quite a bit. So you've got to be realistic with, you know, a lot of people think, oh, I've got wide receiver depth and they don't really once you take out a star. So let's just hypothetically say that you had an addition to Jamar Chase, C.D. Lamb, Garrett Wilson. Oh, no, no, I'm not doing this trade. Oh, but is this. No, no, this, this honestly is nothing to do. This was out of nowhere. Oh, yeah, this said nothing to do with my team. Okay. I thought for sure. No. Because Papa Josh.

Don't you have Gentie and Hampton? Didn't you draft both of them? No, we have. We have Henderson. Oh, okay. I thought you were getting, I thought this was live. You were getting offered. Nope. Nope. I was just trying to think of, is there an actual way that you can trade for Jamar Chase? So here's what's funny. You said that. And in my mind, I thought you're getting offered this trade. Now, you're a problem in the Dynasty League. Your, your team is loaded. your team is all just to just to help people out here you you've done a great job you got i'm just going to let people know your your roster okay so you got care if i can't believe i'm doing if you're driving you might want to pull over yeah uh so you got joe burrow up top great you're running back starters christian mcalfrey and der kenry older but long term not great but wide receivers jamar chase yeah and cd lamb yeah and garrott wilson uh you've got kenneth walker

You've got Trey McBride at tight end. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. And then who else am I missing? I mean, my depth is like Pickens, uh, Dobbs is on there. Yeah. So it's really a, it's starting heavy. Rookies and backup running backs waiting to take over. Yeah. So when you said this, all I could think is how can I get Mike to send Jamar Chase away? Like I, you know what I mean? Like I was, no, man, I got that was selfish. I can't break up the stack. That was selfish. where i was like i want i don't like i'm going to try to convince you you were going to lie for advice on the i wasn't going to lie i was going to lay it out and talk about your incredible depth of wide receiver and see if i could just get you to get rid of jimar chase so hopefully that's valuable for people listening i would so you're no i would take jimart chase yeah which i think just highlights the point yet again there are very few players brooks you're saying not even close for you

Jamar Chase can do something that... Brooks didn't want to answer me. Other people can't do. I mean, you know, what Christian McCaffer used to do, where you're putting up so many points in one roster spot where he's more valuable than just he's better. Because you still get, like, Amari and Hampton and Ash and Gentier are great, but they take up two roster spots. You're going to, you know what I mean? Like, you're still playing someone else alongside Jamar Chase. on your on your on your you know whatever your 11 starters are yeah cd lamb uh next question here oh this one's interesting uh a lot of justin herbert talk going on hunter chalk on ig says justin herbert or cam ward in a dynasty so i don't think cam ward is going to be a great quarterback okay i think so this is really what do you believe about cam ward

If you're a Titans fan and you're buying the Kool-Aid and you want to get out ahead of it and you think he's going to be the next greatest quarterback, then you're getting a huge age gap. I know for a fact Justin Herbert is a great quarterback. I know that because he's a great quarterback. You know, everybody knows it. It's proven at this point. He's still young enough where you've got many years left. And I don't know that I don't believe. And obviously we don't know. I could be totally wrong. And this could look so stupid someday when he becomes the next Patrick Mahomes.

I don't think Cam Ward ever has a season at a Justin Herbert's average season. So I don't care if I get five more years of less quality. You know, I want the higher quality player. That's Herbert. All right. Next question here. I find a good one. Mark says off of IG, I have both Mark Andrews and Isaiah likely. Me too, brother. Okay. Should I try to trade one of them? Dude, I'm just trying to get the Ravens to trade one of them. Just come on, man. I was so hopeful that Mark Andrews would be shipped out at the draft. I'm like, please. Because, man, I, you know, I have been as staunch of Mark Andrews supporter over the career as pretty much exists out there. You know, he was a my guy way back the day on his breakout season. Yeah, you, you went.

heavy on Mark Andrews and at that time both Jason or Andy and I were like really Mark Andrews and then he broke out became awesome for it was a great several years I was very happy but and I think I have held out as long as I could before believing the end is near and I've really gotten to the place now where I'm kind of settling into the truth which is like he's not the same guy he was I watch film and I'm like, he's still open a lawn. I feel like if they just threw the ball to him, it would still work. And maybe, I mean, he had, he had a career high in receiving touchdowns. Did you get yourself in the face with your microphone? Yes, I did. I sure did. I, I, I sure did. Did you grease that up, huh? I, yeah, I guess it was because you were looking at me. That makes sense. Yep, I sure did. These, these, uh, swivel arms are, did you grease that up, Jerry? Um, anyways, I, you know, so I,

Right now, it's tough. I don't think I trade either one of them. I think you just hold on, and here's why. I don't think you're going to get enough for Mark Andrews. I mean, if you've got someone that's offering you something great, awesome, take it. Do you have another tight end you could play? I do think this will be the last year in Baltimore for Andrews, and even though, you know, I expect likely to get another contract with the Ravens and he's a good player, and so hold on to him. I don't think. people are paying up for either one of these players right now. And you're going to get some value while you have them. And hopefully Isaiah likely becomes more valuable at the same time Mark Andrews becomes less valuable. That's my hope on my roster. That's what I'm doing. But obviously, if someone out there wants to come and offer a big bag for Mark Andrews, I will take it. What about a medium bag? I'll probably chase the double digit touchdown hopeful upside. All right. Speaking of, we got another tight end question here.

off of IG. What do I do with T.J. Hawkinson? He turns 28 in July. He is under contract for three more years, although the team could get out in a couple. Has the third most guaranteed money left. But having said all that, it's like, when was the last time? Or I guess it's not waiting. I guess back in 2023, he was the tight end four. appearing in only 15 games, but he was over 11 yards or 11 points per game. So, I mean, that's very solid. But are you, are you still in on Hawkinson? I'm still in on Hawkinson, not as a superstar, but as a reliable person to fill your, your tight end spot. You just don't have a lot of options. You know, it's like, okay, there's a team out there with Brock Bowers or team out there with Tray McBride. After those guys, there's a team out there with George Kittle.

which on a, you know, not a dynasty sensation. He's got to like the contract. Love the contract, but he is 31. So I do put George Kittle right up there with him. But outside of that, okay, you got hopeful people and like maybe, maybe Loveland or Tyler Warren becomes something. But historically speaking, I mean, the fact that we have two tight ends right now of massive relevance shows that. Most years we don't have a tight end added to the fray. Would you rather have one of the rookies? Would you rather have Tyler Warren or Colston Loveland? I would not. No. Okay. You still take Hawkinson? I know that Hawkinson will be a valuable asset on a majority of weeks basis for the next two or three years. Maybe Loveland becomes a superstar and it's so foolish. Oh, he's younger and he's better and you should take it.

But there is just as good a chance. In fact, statistically speaking at the tight end position, there is a way higher chance that Loveland and Warren become good NFL players who are not at the tight end position. If they become a David Najoku, if they become a Tucker Kraft, if they become an Evan Ingraham, it's not changing things in a drastic way. So I would keep Hawkinson. I'd take the rookies over Hawkinson. Both? Yeah, I would because Hawkinson, I think he'll be a usable guy. He'll be like right in that middle range of being a tight-in one. But that year, two years ago, that was by far his best season, especially per game. And he finished that year, only 15 games. So he definitely would have broken 1,000. But 960 yards, that's his high.

That's pretty high for a tight end. I mean, I know it's like 960. He didn't even break a thousand. But his... Most tight ends don't break a thousand. I agree. But his high for touchdowns is six. So if you're talking to the ceiling right now that he has ever put up would be something... He's a PPR guy. Would be like a 960 and 6, which that is... That's good. Like you're glad you have that because there's people who have absolutely nothing. I'm talking specifically right now about trading for the rookies. Right. So let me compare him to another player that is the complete opposite archetype. Let's talk about Sam Laporta. Okay. Okay. Let's say they're both 25 years old or both 28, whatever. They're just the same age. Would you rather have a player like Sam Leporta who has had double digit touchdowns and finished as the Titan won? A higher fantasy finish.

than Hawkinson has ever finished. But he's a guy that's going to go out there like this last year and catch 60 passes. And if you don't get the touch, he has still had seven touchdowns, but this last year, you know, he's only averaging nine points per game. Which archetype of type of player would you rather have on your roster regardless of age? I'll take the cowards way out of, if I'm in a full PPR, I guess I would go with the Hawkinson. Unless I'm in a standard, I'm taking the Hawkinson both. In half, I'll take the Laporte one. Because I want spike weeks out of my tight end. Where if I go in and I'm like, oh, my tight end got me three points again. That's what I'm expecting. But when they can actually make a difference instead of just, I want them to raise my ceiling and not my floor. I want the exact opposite. The way that I look at the tight end position is I want reliable because every tight end can give you a spike week. Nojoku.

Evan Ingram, like, it's just, did he catch touchdown? Tucker Kraft can go out there and be awesome for a week, but I don't want it to be a hole every other week that he doesn't catch a touchdown. I want a baseline of a lot of points, and then if a touchdown comes, great. I mean, because, like, the 10 touchdown rookie season where Laporta finished as the tight-in one, he was only 11.5 points per game. It wasn't, you know, it's like, and that was with double-digit touchdowns. Man, the... I know last year, Hawkinson was coming back from a devastating knee injury. He didn't get into action until week nine. And in his first four games, you have two duds, but then you have two electric games, eight for 72 in his second game back, his fourth game back, seven for one, 14. And then it, the wheels completely fell off. Part of it might be, what do you believe about J.J. McCarthy now? Sure. If you are a J.J. McCarthy believer and you've got a young stud quarterback,

That's really enticing. And I think this whole table is pretty bullish on J.J. McCarthy as a- Yeah, I would say we are. I don't know yet if he'll be great for fantasy, but I think he'll be- Oh, Jay Gris actually disagrees. Oh, Jay Gris does not like hearing the Vikings do well. Yeah, but I think McCarthy is going to be a very good- Because he's a bear. For the people at home. Yeah, Jay Gris is a cardboard bear. And so his team. Hold on. It's surprising. Hold on.
