Personally, I'm taking Kelsey here. As am I. And I know that we've spoken negatively towards Kelsey in a dynasty league as he's really going to start becoming a depreciating asset. He probably is there already with or without the Tyreek news. And I think the Tyreek news is positive for Kelsey. In a single keeper league, you do not treat it at all like a dynasty. You don't care about age or longevity or whether you get Kelsey for three more years. Just think of it this way.

Who would you draft first in your 2022 draft? And I think Kelsey will go ahead of C.D. Lamb this season. No question. I think it is a very fair question to me. But going with Lamb is inheriting a ton of risk where Travis Kelsey certainly has, every player has risk, but he has less to me than C.E. Lamb could have a true breakout season with Amari Cooper gone. That's in the range of outcomes.

CD Lamb could be the next big thing, a top five guy. But the odds are against him. So because of that, I would go with Travis Kelsey. I think we all believe Kelsey is still a positional advantage. Yes. All right. We have a Lamar Jackson, dynasty value question from Mikey and Georgia. Says I've been arguing with someone in my league about what Lamar Jackson is worth trade-wise in a dynasty. Trying to work out a deal. What is your opinion on the dynasty value of Lamar Jackson?

It's a single quarterback dynasty league. Lamar is 25.2 years old. Yeah, I, you know, obviously being a single quarterback league, his value is not going to be nearly as high as you probably hope it is. Well, let's, let's establish him where you feel like he should be in the, just in quarterbacks. Okay. So, and then we'll go from there. So Mahomes or Lamar? Mahomes. Josh Allen. Allen. Yeah. Herbert. Okay. Herbert. Burrow.

I would put Burrow and Murray ahead of Lamar. Okay. Oh, you would put Murray ahead of Lamar? Yeah, definitely. Okay, I think that is definitely the line. Andy, do you go Burrow over Lamar? I would. I'm not sure about the Kyler one, but probably. So he's five or six. He's the quarterback five or six. I don't think we'd put Prescott or Russell Wilson or Watson or Stafford or.

Traleance. No, no, no. I think that's a good. Carson wins. Derek Carr. I think that's a really good line that you're talking. The floor is quarterback six. Yeah. He is likely to sign a very lucrative deal and make some headlines here in the near term. He's also obviously a very talented player, very young. But like you said, a single quarterback league, I don't have a lot of precedent on this kind of a trade. Sure. I don't think we've seen some big.

you know, that top five quarterbacks moved in our dynasty leagues in recent years. I mean, you've got to think like, okay, if you're going to trade him for a rookie pick, if you want to put a value there, you know, would you rather have the 103 or Lamar Jackson? I'd take Lamar. Lamar. The 101 or Lamar Jackson? Yeah, that's the hard one because, I mean, obviously you have to put yourself in a situation then that you don't have a starting quarterback, right? For your dynasty team.

Potentially. Because that says you lock that position down. So I think right now he's probably worth a one-on-one if you don't have a quarterback in a rookie draft. Yeah, I mean, so two years ago, three years ago now was when Lamar had his unfathomable fantasy football breaking number one performance. It could not be fathomed.

It couldn't be fathomed. It really couldn't. I mean, nobody expected him to score. Scholars tried to fathom it. You know, to run for 1,200 yards. I cannot. I cannot fathom. You know, and have as many touchdowns as he did. The last two years, though, quarterback 10, quarterback 15, I think he's probably, you know, usually a.

A solid quarterback piece, but I don't think he gets back to being a top three guy. Yeah, I think you've persuaded me a little bit. I think 103 is the line for me. Whereas like if I said Josh Allen, would he be worth the 101? Would he be worth the 101 plus? Mahomes, Herbert? Yep. Burrow? Yeah, I would be willing to take that risk. Man. Is the line around 103 for you too, Mike? Yeah. Yeah, that definitely makes sense. I'm trying to think with Burrow. It's so tough because.

pocket passers, like it's so difficult for them to jump into that top three. It is. Tom Brady can do it. I get it. But we were looking at, you know, Derek Carr. You got to throw 40 touchdown. Derek Carr recently, who threw 4,800 yards. And it was you had to add like, I can't remember the number off the top of my head, but it was something like you had to add like eight or more passing touchdowns just for him to jump into the conversation of being like a top seven quarterback.

So it's very, very difficult to get there. And Lamar can get there without relying on 40 passing touchdowns. Yeah, I don't see Joe Burrow. I mean, Joe Burrow could put up 200 yards on the ground pretty easily. Obviously, this last season he didn't, but he was coming off the disaster of knee injury. You know, his rookie year, he put up 142 rushing yards in 10 games. So he's not like someone that's putting in zero. No rushing touchdowns, no rushing yards. I think he'll do a little bit.

Okay. All right. That's an interesting one. I think Burrow, it'd be easy to get caught up in, you know, any post-Super Bowl excitement as well. It's almost like evaluating Lamar right after an MVP season or something like that. For what it's worth, I'm in a dynasty startup right now that we are in the middle of it and he did go after Joe Burrow in that draft. All right. Let's go ahead and move on.

to George in Texas. Hey, ballers, traded for Antonio Brown last year as a rental in a dynasty league. Given his falling out of the NFL, can I drop him in a dynasty? We all thought he was done in the NFL before. I personally, regrettably, shamefully, don't drop him. Oh, I don't think it's shameful to not. I would not drop him. If he was on the waiver wire, I would regretfully, shamefully, pick him up. In a dynasty league,

30 roster spots. He's already pining for jobs. I mean, you see him out there tweeting about Cleveland. I just don't think you'll... I don't think you'll get a job. I went on record saying he will never play another snap. Now, was that due to him ripping his shirt off and leaving in the middle of a game? Right. Yeah. That was a part of it. You remember quitting on your team? Yeah. That was a big part of it. Which to...

To be fair, Kyle, after being defeated and liar liar, did rip his shirt off and leave after he went, mail, bird. Yeah, a little, he's out singing in the lobby now. But, yeah, I would still hold on to him because the NFL, you know, if you've got talent. Yeah. Yeah. But his clock may have run out. I mean, because of the age, if you want to hold him through this year and he doesn't find a team, I think at that point, it's probably.

the end of the line. 35-year-old Antonio Brown with no team. I'm willing to lose that gamble and have a roster spot. Yeah, like let's say so our league, our dynasty league, the way it works is we have to drop the players at the end of the rookie draft. Like we do a rookie draft and then to input those players, we drop whoever. Once the NFL draft is over and if I had to clear room, that's when I would be willing to drop Antonio Brown. All right.

Here's another rookie picks question from Bradley. He says, what is Zeke's value when it comes to rookie picks? Oh, man. So we just talked about Lamar. Jason, you're in the middle of a dynasty startup. Zeke is still on the board. Probably will be for a couple more rounds. You're in the fifth round. So Zeke is somebody that you, I feel like you have to draw a line in the sand on and just make a decision on do you buy the narrative, which is he was beat up and doing the best he could and there's more in the tank. And what you saw in the field was not a reflection of his.

healthy body. I don't buy that narrative in the slightest, but he still provides value. He will get a lot of work and be a fantasy relevant asset. I would take the three main incoming rookie running backs over Zeke, Walker, Spiller, and Breeze. You would take Spiller over him. I mean, this is all depending on where they go in the draft. Obviously, if he's not a, you know, if he's a fourth, fifth round pick, then no, absolutely not. But if a team invests in.

those three guys, then I would prefer those. I also think there's going to be at least three or four wide receivers that if I could trade Zeke for them in the rookie draft, I would do that. So I'm pretty much about the 108 somewhere around there, barring the outcome of the NFL draft, where I would still trade a back end one just for the value, you know, kind of like it's a rental. You figure you get a year, two years of decent fantasy production from a running back.

Because at the back of the first, yes, you could very easily have a much more valuable asset than Zeke. But the back of the first is not 100% hit rate at all. The top of the first is not 100% rate. Right, exactly. The back of the first is like you're getting to 55% hit rate. So you've got a big chance of having absolutely nothing. And you know you don't have nothing with Zeke. I would take at this point if we're just strictly talking rookie running backs.

I'd be willing to take the shot for Brees and for Ken Walker. But that's it. I wouldn't take Spiller. But you'd still take probably four wide receivers or so? Yeah, out of this rookie class, because I can see, I think at least four to five guys going the first. I think Zik has a couple valuable years left. I agree. I agree.

All right, let's close out with this because we were talking about it in the office yesterday. There's a lot of swirling rumors. We didn't bring it up in news and notes. Instagram question from Gideon. Are we sure Jimmy G. is going to get traded this year? Because that situation has – look, it hasn't manifested yet. Nobody has gone out and made the move. The cults were put off. The rumor has it. You know, the reports are that they were put off on pursuing Jimmy G. They went Matt Ryan because of shoulder recovery. Right.

There's one team left because the Seahawks and Carolina need a quarterback upgrade and, you know, that would be very valuable. I don't think he goes in division to the Seahawks. So you're talking about whether or not after his shoulder is recovered and he's proven to be healthy that maybe they work out of trade and he goes to the Panthers. I could see that happening. But it is definitely not a sure thing that he moves on. He could very well be the starting quarterback for the 49ers this year. I mean.

Is there a chance he's the backup for the 49ers? I do not believe so. I think that if they were to make him the backup, I think they would cut him because his salary would not be helpful to them. His dead cap is only $1.4 million. Yeah. What city will all the Trey Lance truthers gather in to weep together? Where are you going, Mike? To be fair, I am a fantasy truther for Trey Lance. I still, even with everything that's out there,

I still feel confident that that Trey Lance will start for the 49ers this year. If you're looking at a timeline, though, like Gropolo, when was his surgery was like a couple weeks ago, right? It was very recent. And we could get, you could get into a time period of its training camp and Jimmy is not ready to go. So the 49ers have that time period to evaluate.

At least in some OTAs and things. If Trey Lance is looking like absolute doo-doo right there and the reports are coming out then, then I will change my opinion and feel like Gropolo ends up back as the starter, which for the 49ers would be catastrophic. That's what I was going to say. As you've said it many times, like if they missed here, if there is fire to this smoke, right? You expected to see him on the field more last year.
