Fantasy Football 2017 - Week 14 Matchups, In-or-Out, Russell Wilson Dilemma

Been great. You're always starting him. But you're pretty much sitting everybody else, aren't you, against this Eagles defense that's been, Jason brought it up yesterday, second against every position since week six, or over the last six weeks. Are you tempted to start Watkins? I mean, the matchup isn't good. I'm not tempted to start Watkins. I mean, I, if I can bench Watkins, I would. If I could bench Cooper Cup. I would bench. See, I've been all about Cooper Cup, but this is a game where I bench Cooper Cup. He's not, they're shutting down the slot receiver.

The Eagles are shutting down the slot receiver. Cooper Cup is not going to have a good game in this one. But then you look at is it just going to be all girly from the offensive side of the ball? I don't know. There's going to be somebody that contributes here, but I don't know if it's. There's only two players that I would want to start right now from the Rams, even though this game is in Los Angeles. And, you know, there could be a bomber two that changes things. But as far as predictability and projection, there's two? There's two. Wow, there's one for me. I'll bet there's two.

There's Todd Gurley and there's the leg. Oh. Oh, you're counting kickers. Well, Jason is the boom boom master. All right. So Greg Zerline. Greg Zerlein's in. All right. The Eagles. Carson Wince on the road. Rams. They've really contained the quarterback position in fantasy for the whole year. You were bringing up some numbers. It really surprised me in the office yesterday. They're right there with Jacksonville in terms of fantasy.

points given up to the quarterback position on the year. They've only given up 13.8 on the year, and then over the last six weeks, only 12.8. Now, Wince, he's a different animal. He gets out of the pocket. He can move around. He offers you the same, like, upside that Wilson does against that Jacksonville defense, where he can do a little bit more. Your starting wins, I guess is still the point, but maybe tempered the expectations. Alshan Jeffrey, you're rolling them out there. What running back do Eagles?

fans need to lean on this week. And the matchup is fantastic because while the Rams have a good past defense, they have been really rough against running backs 23rd over the last six weeks. If I'm picking from the Eagles running backs, I'm still going to go with JJ. Are you really? Yes. Wow. That is very surprising to me. I would go blunt.

I would go Ajai as well. Last week was the first week where we saw the snap percentages really change. And he out touched Blunt as far as Cairies. Blunt had eight carries. Jai had nine. Jai didn't do much with it. But this is a good matchup for a strong Eagles offensive line against the Rams who have been very susceptible to the run. All right. Let's talk about the Raven Steelers Sunday night football game. We got two matchups to get through. And we're going to do our daily dose head-to-head-to-head draft.

Longer show today. Mini Ladon. Yeah, you guys are bringing it. All right, the Ravens, 7 and 5, taking on the Steelers in Pittsburgh. Steelers are five and a half point favorites in this game. 43.5 point over under. These are always an absolute battle. I like Baltimore to keep this game close. We have Alex Collins. He's been stepping up in a big way, both in fantasy and in reality.

Alex Collins, are you confident rolling him out there? And is he really the only offensive piece that you want to start? Or is Mike Wallace in that talk, too? Mike Wallace is definitely in that talk. In fact, I might prefer Mike Wallace to Alex Collins just based on the matchup. You're on the road and you're facing a team that over the last six weeks in the Steelers, they've been top five against the running back and the worst against wide receivers. I think you have to throw that out this week. You have to throw those numbers out for the Steelers. Ryan Shazir, the run stopper, is gone.

And you saw last week, as soon as he went off the field, you had success from Gio Bernard for the remainder of that game. I think that part has to go out the window. I would start Collins over Macklin. Or I'm sorry, over Wallace. Wallace. Yeah, I would say this. If it was a flex position, I would start Alex Collins over Wallace as well. I guess I'm just saying positionally, I think there's...

We've been mentioning a lot of running backs that should have a good week. Like, Gio Bernard could be, you know, I'd rather start Gio than Alex Collins this week. Whereas at wide receiver, I think Mike Wallace is a sneaky play here because the Steelers at home should be able to score, even though Baltimore's got a great defense. But Jimmy Smith. Yeah, and Jimmy Smith. Stod cornerback for the Ravens is out. Is out. Yes, exactly. So if they score and Flacco has to throw the ball, he's pretty much only been.

you know, hyper-targeting Mike Wallace, Jeremy Macklin might not play, and Mike Wallace, you know, this is a good matchup. The Steelers have not been able to stop wide receivers lately. Ravens' defense has only given up 12 points a game since week 10. They've been so good. I mean, you talk the Eagles, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Ravens, those three teams. There's no way that they don't cover this spread. I'm tempted. I'm very tempted to go triple. It's never been done. I agree completely with you.

Andy's almost upset of the week. This is an outlier game, so I'm going to throw. This is the only time you get in the triple. Andy's almost upset week. Juju Smith-Schuster's out. This is Antonio Brown, and Martavis has been so up and down. I mean, one minute he's making a good play. The next minute, he's making a boneheaded player, a drop, or something, you know, running the wrong route. I think this game's going to be close. I really do.

And look, you're starting Levy on Bell. You're starting Antonio Brown. Those are... Don't need to discuss. I'd be avoiding Big Ben and any other of those weapons because the Ravens are number one. I just told you how good the Rams are. Ravens are given up an average of nine points to the quarterback, fantasy-wise. That's just not something you want to mess with. Now, Home Big Ben, do you want to correct me, Mike, or can we move on to Monday night? I wouldn't say I would completely avoid Big Ben. Again, this quarterback situation is...

Well, Tom Brady, we expect him to play. Mike, Rex Burkhead's your start of the week. You're darn ready. Is this a bounce back for Brandon Cooks against this Dolphins defense? You would think so. Brandon Cooks has, he has surprised me a lot on the season because he's actually been pretty consistent, at least for Brandon Cook's standards. He's been a guy you can confidently start every week.

And despite the 2 for 17 effort of last week, I'm still feeling great rolling him out. Yeah, I would add. Give me a sneaky start. A sneaky start. From the Patriot side. A sneaky snart. Give me a sneaky snart. That would be Danny Emendola. Danny Emendola and Rob Grankowski, they're very different humans. They actually feed a similar role to the offense, though, in New England and two Tom Brady. So I actually think.

you can roll Danny Amandola. We're playing him in a couple spots together, leagues that we share. I think Amandola, you can light him up. And I would say that both Rex Burkhead and Dionne Lewis are must starts. I would agree. They're going to share that 137 per game that the Patriots running backs are averaging since week 10? Yeah. Okay. On the other side, how excited can we be? I mean, the Patriots.

You know, Kenyon Drake, he has the share of work that makes you able to start him. Yep. He has the opportunity, which means Kenyon Drake is a start. And he's, he's got juice. So he, I'm plugging him in Jarvis Landry, Target Monster, PPR machine. You, you roll with him. But other than that, even with Kenny Stills.

surging as of late. I don't have confidence to play Kenny Stills in my playoff match. He could end up with the deep bomb touchdown. I'm staying in the absolute scorching fires of Keenan Allen. Yeah. Are you really? Yep. I believe in Keenan Allen over Josh Norman. I considered it. I did. In the same game, I'm going to take the other running back there, go Melvin Gordon, go with last year's duo of destruction. Todd Gurley, Melvin Gordon. All right, my last two picks. I went with Shady McCoy, and then I'm looking at my quarterback, trying to think who I'm a fan of this week, who I think has some upside.

I'm going to go with Philip Rivers counter effect Mr. Keenan Allen a little bit. Pretty happy with that because there was the guy I wanted to stack with my. Tyreek. Tyreek the freak, Alex Smith. Sure. Okay. So I'm going to close this thing out here and I need a running back. You got a guy that I really wanted to take there sitting on the board. Well, there's lots of guys that I want to take. But who will you take? Because I believe and I have a dream.
