Last year, he had 203 fantasy points at this point in the season. This year he's the wide receiver 21 with 124 fantasy points. If you had to classify Mike Evans, where he went in drafts and what he's done, would you call him a bust? Ooh, could call him a bust? No. I don't call... My bust threshold is if I'm expecting you're a top two rounds or maybe even three, as long as you're in that...

153 passages1 to 24 range for me, you're not a bust. It's like Todd Gurley last year, maybe you feel like it was a bust because he was the first running back taken, but he still finished at 17, if I recall correctly. So it's, it's not a bust. It's just, it's a huge disappointment. Yeah, I would agree with that. Now, this week, it's a really tough matchup for Mike Evans. Yes, it is. Darius Slay has in the past said, Mike Evans, you belong to me.
And so this is not a good matchup for him. That's what I did in Fuzball against yesterday. Oh, no. No, you've just ruined the show, Andy. You cannot. Oh, man. Jason is still soulless. What? I, yeah, I will say this. Andy dominated me in Fuzball yesterday, left, right, and center. I could do nothing, and I was a man that was.
My soul has had left my body. It still has not returned. No. Thanks for bringing that up. We were talking about Darius Slay. Ten targets have come Mike Evans' way with Darius Slay on him. I believe he's cut one in his career. My analysis says that for a guy whose last name is Slay to really produce. You know that he's coming through in December. Oh, you know it. Because this one, that's when you ride the sleigh. It's slate time. Ride the Slay. Ride the Slay.
Yeah, hard hitting analysis. Okay. So seasonal analysis here at the fantasy footballers podcast. If their name pertains to the nearest holiday, you know the performance is going to go. But while Darius slays an excellent cornerback and can he can shut people down, they're still allowing points, especially to the quarterback or the past six weeks. The lions are 29th against quarterbacks. James is in a good spot.
And if Evans is going to be shut down, Deshawn Jackson is in an excellent spot and camera braight as well. And Charles Sims out of the backfield. If they're possibly, if they're limiting, you know, if Doug Martin is sweating time, Tim still has third down work. I'm going to say something that's really gross. Okay. I know it's coming. I like Doug Martin this week. He is a good start and it's really difficult because he's been bad on the season. I like Doug. Then he was out with a concussion and now he's back and Detroit.
has been really bad against the running back position. They're 29th on the season. So it is a good matchup for him. But it's tough to trust that. Tough to plug him in unless he's, you know, if you are one of the teams that snuck into the playoffs and you've got maybe not the best roster, that's where I'd start him. I feel like I would still rather bench him even though it's good match. Tion Green or Doug Martin in this game. Great.
Assuming Amir Abdullah is out. Assuming Amir Addull is out, I play Doug Martin. I'd go Doug Martin as well. I think I'd go Tehan Green. I just worry about them wanting to see Peyton Barber or something just completely unexpected. It's a fair concern. All right, the Cowboys at 6 and 6 take on the 2 and 10 Giants in New York. Giants are 4.5. Underdogs at home, a 41.5.5.0. And this is the return of Eli Manning.
Now, I've heard the narrative. It was gone. I've heard the narrative, though, that this is, what did I hear? Someone said Manning up to management. This is the revenge game of Eli Manning at home against what leadership did to him and the chance that he could come out and have a big time game against a defense that's struggling. 21st against the quarterback, 31st against the wide receiver over the last six weeks.
Eli Manning gets Shepard back. Evan Ingram had a monster week last week. I'm trying not to let Mike talk. No, it's, I'm laughing over here silently because I've figured out who Eli Manning is. He's Chad from those Saturday Night Live skits. Okay. The idea of that Eli Manning is going to have his revenge game. They said, I feel like they said, okay, Eli, you're not starting. Okay. Hey, Eli, you're back. You're going to start for us. Oh, okay.
So you don't have any emotional range for a revenge game? No, I do not. Not from Eli. He's just cool. Yeah. He's just whatever. No, no, no. No, you're not bench anymore. Oh, my bad. Okay. Okay. Fair enough. Do you like Eli Manning at all this week? Yes. At home. Against the Cowboys. Which Shepherd and Ingram? I do. We haven't talked about him as a stream. The problem with Eli as a streamers, there's so many streamers I love. Yeah, this week is.
is a really ripe week for streaming quarterbacks, people that I would prefer over Eli. That being said, I do think Sterling Shepard, his number one target in this game, is going to go full ham. If he plays? Yeah, I mean, obviously his hamstrings, his stringy ham is a slight issue, but I expect him to play. Obviously, in the end and out, we both projected him in. And if he plays, I think he is. Am I allowed? He's like a top 12 wide receiver option. Am I allowed to double down?
on like double double the almost of course you are there's no rules here and he's almost upset of the week four and a half point line at home i'm taking the giants to win outright oh well i guess i'm taking them to almost win outright yeah according to the segment but uh look there's so i got the browns and giants winning this week guys that's where i'm at in my life
I'm really doing well. I don't blame you. The Cowboys seem to be reeling. Dak Prescott. They had a good week last week, but the defense in New York, it's okay. If all you do is look at the box score, you might think, okay, he got it back together last week. He was not that good on film. Now, this is a great match. I don't think the box score was very good. Well, you had multiple touchdowns. You had two touchdowns. And I'm saying overall fantasy points. You're like, oh, okay, he was.
You know, 18 fantasy points. He's been living in that, like, negative three area. And so, hey, hooray, 18. Now, this is a great matchup for him, though. You have, the Jack Rabbit is gone on defense. He was their best, you know, secondary player. They call him the Jack Rabbit? I believe so. Isn't that Genoa's Jenkins? What are you looking to me for? Because you're knowledgeable. You actually do football analysis. Not on Jack Rabbit related nicknames. Judge, do you know?
No idea. Sorry. I'm Googling one of the league's best cornerbacks goes by Jack Rabbit. Boom. Tough acted. I got I got son of bummed to get it. It's Dominique Rogers Comarty. No, I'm just playing with you. Janoris Jenkins is the Jack rabbit and he is on IR. So, I mean, I will say this. No, Des could have a really good game. Des and Jack could have good games. Will. You believe? I believe in Des. Des top 10 this week. This week.
Low. Starting Alfred Morris, starting Jason Whitten? Yes. Okay. Dak Prescott, most of the heads-up matches people are giving me for choosing between, you know, like, does Sean Kaiser or Dak Prescott this week? Oh, I'm going Dak. I don't believe in Kaiser the way that Mike does. Nobody believes in Kaiser as a real quarterback, Jason. No, I'm saying fantasy. Fantasy football. He's at home this week. I'm taking Kaiser over Prescott. Oh, my goodness. I know.
He's your start of the week. Yes. Who are you taking? Yeah, that's the question. I mean, I would assume if he's your start of the week, you would agree with Andy. I do like Dak. I like Dak a good amount this week. I don't know if I can play Kaiser over Dak. Okay. That's tough. Yeah, no, I look. Eli Manning says, okay. Man, Dak Prescott's sacked 15 times since week 10, most in the league. This game could be, what's the over under this game? 41.5. I'll take the over.
Give me the over at that 41 and a half. All right. All right, the Titans take on the Cardinals in Arizona. Cardinals are three-point underdogs at home. The Titans just keep finding a way to win ball games. I don't know if there's been an 8-14 that I have less confidence in than the Tennessee Titans, yet they keep getting it done. We expect the Cardinals to be without Adrian Peterson this week.
For all intensive purposes, the Titans will probably win this game. It really is bizarre. When I think about the Titans, here's the list of things that come to mind. Poor defense. Yes. They can't play defense. Mariotta has been really bad this year. Yes. Marco Murray has been very bad. So their running game, not good. Their wide receiver core. Injured. Totally underperforming. Their quarterback not good. And their defense not good. Delaney Walker's carrying this team by himself. How bad is this division? Yeah, this is.
I think the Cardinals will win this game. I think that the Titans are a bit of a mirage. Sorry, Tennessee fans. DeMarco Murray, still starting him over Derek Henry? Oh, absolutely. I pumped the brakes on Derek Henry. Derek Henry's numbers were inflated by one run when the game was over and he just needed to pick up the first down. It is still DeMarco Murray is the guy that you need to start in fantasy. On the season, the Cardinals are ninth against the running back position, but over the last six weeks, they're actually 17th. They gave up...
The big plays to Deonté Foreman in Houston. They gave up some yards last week. So DeMarco Murray could be okay. Would you play DeMarco Murray or would you rather play, I don't know, Jerich McKinnon asking for a friend? I would, in this week. I'd play McKinnon. McKinnon plays Carolina, number one running defense right now. I would go Murray. McKinnon. Other starters, you're starting Delaney Walker. Are you willing to play Mario this week under any circumstances?
it's sure in a two quarterback league so not not confident gabbert gabbert or mariotta in this game jabbert i would as well lean towards gabber he's been pretty good for fantasy and this is a uh a decent matchup he's at home larry fitzgerald love larry start of the week i think he's got a good rapport with him and of course larry's very good uh first ballot hall of famer so i i would lean gabbert rickie seals jones tied in for the arizona cardinals is he startable
Yeah, I think he is. He's low-end startable. I would much prefer to start someone like Delaney Walker or even Austin Sferian Jenkins. So there's a handful of guys, Cameron Bray and Stephen Anderson, Mr. Anderson. But once you get past that, you know, if I'm looking at Charles Clay or Ricky Seals Jones, I lean Ricky Seals Jones. Yeah, it's the rule of three, right? NBA Jam solves all your problems.
You get three in a row philosophy I have. Two, you're heating up. Three, you're on fire. Has he been on, I mean, has he been that good though? Yes. Yeah. Well, with the first week was the two touchdowns. Then it was 72 in a touchdown. And the third, while it doesn't seem great, you're like, oh, I got 44 yards. 44 yards from a tight end in this day and age. I'll take it. I will absolutely take that, especially if I'm trying to.
salvage. I'm jumping into the sewers. Since we're in this game, breaking news right now, there's a source saying that the Cardinals running back, Adrian Peterson, is likely not playing Sunday. The neck injury does not require surgery, but it will require rest. So I'm, you know, let's assume now, based on this report that is just now coming out, that Adrian Peterson is out for this matchup. Curwin. Yes.
Do you start Kerwin? Okay, so let's add Kerwin to that. Let's add Kerwin to Tion Green and Doug Martin conversation. You know, Kerwin Williams last week, in place of Adrian Peterson, looked pretty darn good. It doesn't seem like this team wants to give DJ Foster a chance between the tackles. So I think Kerwin Williams has that locked up. Titans over the last six weeks, 19 fancy points in game to the running back. This game's in Arizona.
I actually am okay with Kirwan Williams this week. I'd play him over the aforementioned Tian Green. I'd probably start him over, you know, I'm not starting him over Geo. Would you start him over Doug Martin? You know, I would. See, I don't believe in Kerwin nearly to that level. I know he looked good last week, but we have to remember early in the year, he had another opportunity due to injury to be the guy in week two against Indianapolis. Nine carries for...
22 yards. Yeah, I mean, but doesn't the game last week matter more against the good rushing defense? 16 for 97? It does. And here's the thing about Kerwin Williams, the next games. This is a great match against the Titans. And he gets Washington, who the past six weeks are 28th to fantasy running backs. And then he gets the Giants who the past six weeks are 26th against fantasy running backs. That's pretty good.
If he's still on your waiver wire, you have to pick him up, in my opinion. Not necessarily that you're going to play him. Maybe your roster is too stout, but you have to keep Kerman Williams away from your opponents right now. Yeah, that's a good strategy. I agree. There's no other Cardinal that you would start here at the wide receiver position outside of Larry Fitzgerald. And we spoke a little bit about the wide receivers for the Titans. It's probably Richard Matthews or no one.
