Welcome into the fantasy footballers podcast. Andy, Mike, and Jason once again with you, prepping you for week 14, your fantasy playoffs and a whole lot more. We've got all your news. We've got the fantasy forecast. We have our highly flammable starts of the week. Who? Combustible. Fire. Fire. Yeah, we're going to debut our week 14 starts today. We're going to talk about a lot of different things.

There is a new bobblehead at the front of our desk that I bought for someone in here that is not looking at me right now. I bought it for him as a commemoration of the gift that Devante Adams keeps giving you. Devante Adams, regardless of what he does on the field, look at his head bobble. He will always stink to me. Did I take Jason out of the playoffs? nodding. He's nodding. Yes, I did.

I hate you to vote. All right. Hey, before we get going with the news, I have a quick question in the form of a game. You guys ready? Love it. Playing a game of Who Am I? Let's see if you can figure this one out. And I will give this hint as well. It ties into something interesting later in the show. So who am I? Here's clue number one. I'm the RB 10 in half point scoring. Okay? Okay. Running back 10.

Running back 10 and half points. Are you with us, Jason? I am with us. All right. I'm 21st among running backs and attempts. Even Devante Booker has more carries than I do. Okay, so low volume, high production. High production. Number three, I'm 13th in rushing yards in the league with 758. However, John Coon and Robert Turbin both have one more rushing touchdown than I do. It's kind of sad. Okay. Number four, Theo Riddick.

Leads running backs with five receiving TDs, but I'm tied for second with James White with four of them. I got it. I got it. Let's hear it. You got one clue left. Let's see if you can get it. Well, give me the last clue. I mean, no, no, no, no. All right. I think receiving touchdowns who has not had as much volume as we hoped and is coming up later in the show has to be Marcus Ingram. Mark. Mark.

Not Marcus, but yes, Mark Ingram. All right. Mark Ingram is the name. Isn't that interesting? He's number 10 in half point scoring, but man, those touchdowns was goal line. You heard one of the names, John Coon, stealing him. That dirty rat. He's catching him. John Coon's catching Ingram? No, I'm saying Ingram's catching the, you know. Yeah. And most of those have been down around the goal line. Those little three, four-yard screen passes to Ingram, they've been working.

I just say we will talk about him later in the show. Note to Sean Peyton. Mark Ingram is the best running back on your team. Seriously. We'll talk about that later in the show as well. I promise. All right, I'm going to let this one be our headliner. Gary Kubiak said Wednesday that Justin Forset will be an immediate part of the Broncos backfield plans. Quote, he can help us quickly. We need someone to step in and contribute. It was a blessing that he was let go last week. So now Kubiak, they've signed Justin Forset familiar with Kubiak system, probably more familiar than even Devante Booker is. Yep. Veteran, fresh legs.

This is why I said it's, it seemed like a funny blurb note that Justin Forsett was signed by the Broncos, but it should not be ignored. Having said that, uh, what is, what is an immediate impact? Is that eight carries? Well, let me ask this question. Jason. Yeah. Would you drop any of your handcuffs to pick up Justin Forset? Yeah, I would. Um,

It depends. I'm not dropping my very necessary handcuffs, right? You mean, if I've got shady. Handcust. Yeah, if I've got shady who's always in and out and Gillisly is a good fine backup, you know, I'm not going to drop them. But, you know, I'm dropping, for me, I'm going to drop Andre Ellington possibly because I think that Forescette could come out. And I'm, no one, no one should start Forescette this week. That would be ludicrous. It would be stupid. That being said, he could come out.

and end up in a complete 50-50 or even, I wouldn't be shocked if he had the majority of carries. I'm not projecting that, but that could happen. And if that happens in a Kubiak system that he's familiar with with fresh legs, there could be fantasy value there. He can catch the ball, too. Yeah. And we've seen the backup running back always be the best looker on the team. Here's a big story in that same game. Simeon, Trevor Simeon, he's out of his boot.

But Paxton Lynch still getting a lot of the first team reps. We don't know who's starting. Oh, come on, Simeon. Makes a big difference to me on how I rate the wide receivers and the running backs. For sure. Trevor Simeon's my stream of the week, so you better be playing. All right. Brown's plan to start RG3. Yeah. Is there anybody else that plans to start him? Well, I want to know who's going to finish the game. Yeah, that's a great question. Do they have to report two? Do they have to report the starter and the finisher? Yeah. The Browns, too.

It's a closer. I believe those are called closers. Right. I'm a baseball guy, Andy. What if that's the strategy they took with him? He gets the first half and then he won't get hurt. Then they'll have them for the next week. That's about the only way. Adrian Peterson confirmed what we talked about earlier in the week. He won't return if the Vikings are eliminated from playoff contention before he's ready. So he's a very sketchy ad. Does that mean that if they're in playoff contention that he will return before he's ready?

No, no, no, no. No, but that's what it seems like because I'm not going to return. He's saying if they're eliminated. Right. Before he's ready, then he will not play. Okay. That's what he said. I'm with you. Shane, uh, no new report on his status. I don't think we really, uh, I don't know how much that impacts everything. The Giants are deciding this week. I don't think anybody's starting Paul Perkins. Rashad Jennings, Mike talked about him earlier this week. Pumped the brakes on Rashad Jennings. That was my name. I certainly did not. That was Jason Moore. That was Jason.

Yes. You guys are both the same to me. Ryan Matthews ready to go. Yep. Doug Peterson says he's going to play, so Ryan Matthews will be inactive. Oh, who knows? You confuse. Every time we bring up Eagles, I worry that our listeners do not understand what you're actually trying to say. Sorry. I just, I do the opposite of what Doug Peterson says. But Ryan Matthews should be playing this weekend. Now, what do you make of the news about, what, yesterday you read about Doug Martin and Jekwiz Rogers getting some more carries and.

Then this report from the Bucks offensive coordinator came out saying they're not pleased with the running game. Well, and what's, I don't know if you remember it off the top of your head, but Devante Booker since taking over the running, the main running back position for Denver. What's his yards per carry? His last, I think five games was 2.9 per carry. Doug Martin since coming back from his injuries right around 2.8. Yeah. So, I mean, things can't be pleased with that. No. And what's tough is Rogers.

was effective. I mean, so this isn't, we don't know exactly what is, what the problem is. I mean, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are near the bottom of the league when it comes to yards before contact. So it's, it's tough sledding for Doug Martin, but it's the same line, the same scheme that Jock Quiz Rogers was running behind and having some success. I still imagine that Doug Martin will be the primary running back, but.

I'm not expecting that 22-carry game from Doug Martin, which stinks with a great matchup against the Saints. A reminder on tomorrow's show we'll have in and out. We'll go through all the injured players and give you our kind of Friday viewpoint as to whether these guys are going to play. You're talking about the, I don't know, the Julio Jones and Sammy Watkins and Theoretic and all these guys that show up as Q on your roster. So we'll go through all those tomorrow. A couple quick updates on the Thursday night game before we get into the rest of the matchups. We previewed Thursday night on yesterday's show. But Jeremy Macklin's going to play. Yay. And here's a staff for you, because I want to know how you feel. Latavius Murray has set season highs and touches and playing time in back-to-back weeks. Yeah. We know about DeAndre Washington's inactivity.

This is turning into the Belcal Murray situation. This is the West Coast Jay Ajay, where the coaching staff all offseason was trying desperately to find a different running back. I mean, they were any big name running back who was a free agent, the Raiders were linked to him. They were linked to drafting Ezekiel Elliott if he somehow fell to them. The beginning of the season, they were in a three-way timeshare.

trying to get other people involved who just, and they were hoping DeUnder Washington could do some things. People just fail to take care of that job. And now Latavius Murray is a true workhorse running back the last couple of weeks, and he's producing like that. So to a tip of the cap, if you bought Latavius Murray low in the middle of the season, get ready because you have a stud running back moving forward. And what's funny is the chief's their middle of the pack against the run.

But when you look, it's like they have either great games or bad games. They have over seven games this year where they've given up more than 100 yards on the ground. The last three weeks, two of them were over 100. The other one was 94 yards on the ground. Yeah, Murray. Murray looks great. Would you take Murray or Gordon rest of season? Gordon. Still Gordon for me. Just making sure. All right. Let's jump into the Steelers in the Bills matchup this week in Buffalo. Steelers are favored by a point in a half, 47.

Point over under. We said we'd talk a little bit about the weather if it was relevant. Some light snow game will be in the 20s, but over under and Vegas thinks that there's going to be some points on the board. So the big stories from this game to me circle around a couple guys that I really like this week, that I'm not sure you guys do, but that's Sammy Watkins and Ladarius Green.
