to the fantasy footballers podcast coming to you from the fantasy jocks.com studios with your host Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright. Ah, yeah. Woo! In a world. In a world where Todd Gurley joins the show. Yep. The fantasy footballers are back. Thursday, July 21st.

3:02 ↗

Todd Gurley is going to be on the show today. He is. And I'm going to, I'll say another shout out to our man, Willie Sneed, who joined us on Tuesday. If you missed that, head on back in the old podcast queue because it's there. How do you go back? We've got to go back. You just click. Oh, you just click the one below. Yeah. When I was in California, I went to the Universal set, and I got to stand next to the old Lion Estates from the movie. Ooh.

3:30 ↗

I could feel the energy. I could feel... Doc Brown was actually there. He was sleeping back behind there. He's not up to much these days. No, he's not up to a whole lot. So, no, we've got a good show for everybody today. We are going through yet another division. We're talking AFC South. A lot of changes have happened in that division. We've got the up-and-coming Jaguars. Jaguars? Jaguars. Jaguars? We get criticized for two...

3:58 ↗

pronunciations that are just, I guess, built in. One is Jaguars instead of Jaguars. I'd probably say in that wrong. And the other one is Bengals, like as though we said it with an A, like Bengals. Because, well, the Bengals are a band, a rock band from the 80s that sang about walking like an Egyptian. What's that snack? Aren't those called Bengals? No, those are called. Are those also? Bugles. Bugles. Come on. That's not even close.

4:23 ↗

Don't mess with me on my snack knowledge, okay? You're talking of the ones you put them on your fingertips and you look like... Every time somebody says we say bangles, I'm picturing those snacks. That's a weird thing. That's a weird thing. You were way off. All right. We got news and notes. We're going to talk through a few more breaking fantasy tidbits today. I'm going to jump right into the quick question before we get to the Division Overview as well as Todd Gurley. I'm going to also warn everybody. Todd Gurley interview.

4:53 ↗

was a good interview, but the reception on the phone was a little bit rough. Now, Mike has done some good work with it. I'm doctoring up the best of my abilities. But when you have Todd Gurley on the phone, you don't hang up the phone. Excuse me, Mr. Gurley, could you call me back on a better connection? Yeah, so just a fair warning there, but it's a good interview, and he's got some interesting things to say about a one David Johnson. This is the first episode.

5:21 ↗

where I hope our good friend David Johnson is not listening. Oh, we need to get him back on the wall. Yep. No offense to Jordan Reed, but Jordan Reed's been up there too long. Sure. All right, quick question of the day, guys. This one comes in off of Twitter at Tom Morrison 4. What is the better backfield to own the dolphins or the bears? Oof. So that's an interesting question because when I read it the first time, I kind of think I thought, you know, who's the better?

5:48 ↗

which back would you want overall? But this is more like which whole backfield would you want. Which situation would you rather lock down? Oh, and I'm going to lock up the, I'm going to go with the Dolphins and just for the reasons. I talked about it on the Tuesday show, diving into Adam Gase and his historical usage of a running back, I believe that there is a good chance by the end of the season that somebody,

6:17 ↗

will be the guy. Maybe Aaron Foster is the magic man and can come back from a rupture to killies, or maybe J. Ajai just proved to them why he was such a highly touted rookie coming into the draft besides his knee problem. So I would personally go with the dolphins. Can I take the Rams backfield? Is that an available choice here? Because I'd much rather have the Rams backfield than either these two. I don't believe that it is. I think everyone would. Well. Because in that situation, you get Todd Gurley. I'm going to. Cunningham.

6:47 ↗

Yeah, well, if it comes with Todd Gurley, it's a better combo. I would say that if I had to take an entire backfield, I would also side with the Miami Dolphins just because you have Jayadjai who fell to the fifth round because of knee concerns and Arian Foster, who, I mean, you've got three guys there that are extremely injury back there. Injury prone. But if I'm being realistic and going into a draft, I'm not doing either of those things. I would draft Jeremy Langford.

7:16 ↗

And I'm probably not going to draft any of the other people for where they're going. All right, pop quiz. Jeremy Langford in the fourth round or Jay Ajai in the eighth round. Ajai. That's too big of a gap. I take Ajai in the eighth. Jay Jai in the seventh round or Matt or Jeremy Langford in the fourth round. If you said four, five, I would have taken...

7:38 ↗

the higher Lankford pick? I would take Lankford in the fifth. I would take Lankford in the fifth, which I have seen. So I think that's realistic that he gets to the fifth. He's been dropping a lot lately. I would take Lankford in the fifth. I'm not going to take him in the fourth, not because just because of him, but there's a lot of guys in the fourth I like. Matt Jones has really risen for me after the Arian Foster signing because I was worried someone's going to come crash that party, but now he's it.

8:05 ↗

The Abdullah lover on this show was sweating a little bit with that nonsense of maybe that Foster is going to go up to Detroit, but thankfully that did not happen. All right. Well, if you want to follow the show on Twitter, if you've heard of Twitter before, we're at the FF Ballers. You can follow Mike at FF Hitman. You can follow Jason at Jason FFL. You can follow me at Andy Holloway. I'm the coolest of the three. We're also on YouTube.

8:33 ↗

What? This is my read, Mike. Would you please just step away? We're also on YouTube, the Fantasy Sports Network, and on Facebook as well. And if you have a question for the show, we do mailbag episodes every week. We try to get those on quite a few of our shows. And you can send in your question at the Fantasyfootlers.com. All your information on there. If you need a super fast question, you can get those answered on there as well. You can connect with us on Jointhefoot.com, our fantasy community. And you know what we're going to do today?

9:03 ↗

What? We're going to break... Oh, do I even have it on here? Yeah, we're going to break a segment that we haven't done in a long time. Oh! We're going to break it back out. Because people have been asking, you know, where's the reviewosaurus? And you know what? I found it. Oh. I found it. Reviewosaurus regs. This one comes in from W. Forrest, from the USA! He says it's too good to share. Five stars. I started listening last summer and haven't missed an episode since.

9:34 ↗

The data is great, and the guys are entertaining as well. The only problem is that I am holding them back. What? The show is so good, I will not tell my league mates. What? Oh, yeah, hashtag Foot Clan title. Well, thank you. I think you, Forest. Forest from the United States. I think I have cracked the code on this forest character. Is it an actual American forest? No, it's not W. Forest. It's...

9:58 ↗

Forrest W. It's actually Forrest Whitaker, the Hollywood actor. Oh, from the USA, though. Yes. Well, of course he's from the USA. So Forrest travels a lot. Thank you for listening. Thank you, Forrest, Wittaker. Thank you for your review. Thank you, everyone who leaves us a review on iTunes, Stitcher. Anywhere else, you can give us a thumbs up or a heart or whatever other symbol they put next to our podcast. It really helps the show. And Forrest, if you've already got that hashtag Foot Clan title from us last year, up the competition. Tell your buds. All right. Yeah. So, uh,

10:28 ↗

What I'm going to do now, right before we jump into the news, I want to thank a brand new sponsor that we just got connected with, really compliments our show. Look, if you're one of those fantasy football players that has been frustrated with your fantasy performance, I've got some really good news for you. We just got connected with Finnish First Fantasy Advisors, right? You like listening to this show. We cannot consult you one-on-one all season long, but check this out.

10:53 ↗

They offer season-long individualized fantasy advice. You go to finishfirstfantasy.com, you sign up for a season-long membership before your draft, and you get matched with a one-on-one advisor that is experienced in your league format. You get consultations with them. They are with you in the draft room on draft day. You get live consultations every single week of the season, unlimited emails with them. But here's the part that got us. If you don't make the playoffs in your league,

11:23 ↗

You get all of your money back. You get... That's pretty good deal. You want to guarantee you're in the playoffs? Wow. Yeah, you get all of your money back. So you just... And what's really cool is they've partnered with us to offer a special discount to Foot Clan listeners. And so you go to Finish First Fantasy.com and you get 50 bucks off the season long membership with the promo code, Ballers 50.

11:46 ↗

And like we said, this is cool because you get one-on-one consultation and all your money back if you don't make the playoffs. So something you definitely want to check out that's Finish First Fantasy.com, sign up with the promo code Ballers 50. Let's jump into the news. News and notes from around the league. That's pretty cool, though. That's not bad. That's putting your money where your mouth is. That's true. You know what?

12:15 ↗

I'll put this out there for the Foot Clan. If you don't make the playoffs listening to this podcast, we will return your podcast. All the money. Your podcast entry fee? Well, to listen, to listen to the podcast, which was free. Oh, okay. So I've tricked everyone. You might have just tricked yourself. Welcome to the news. The Lions team reporter Tim 20 men has said Stephen Ridley is the favorite for the number three running back spot, presumably behind Abdullah and Riddick.

12:43 ↗

Yeah, this is one of those interesting. So the Zach Zinnert discussion comes up here. A backfield to watch where, let's say maybe you're not an Abdullah believer, and you think one of these guys is going to be the big back in Ridley and Zenner. And if you don't believe in Abdullah, one of them is going to get some work la Joyke Bell. And so there could be some fantasy production there. Do you buy into this? I definitely buy it. I buy that it's Ridley. You lean more on the Ridley side. I do.

13:09 ↗

Yeah, if Ridley is looking good in camp, he's the more experienced and has been successful in the NFL versus the undrafted Zach Zinner. Back when it was black and white. It was only, you know, two and a half years ago. But in the middle of that was in, you know, he tore his ACL. Of course he's going to kind of have a hard time playing with a torn ACL. So if he's back and healthy, that's good. Another point in his column, a torn ACL. The problem that I have with this.
