Fantasy Football Podcast for Week 2/3

That is a Homer pick. Homer for the minute. I think with Stanton playing, it's going to be tough to beat the 49ers, so I'm going to take them. And then, you know. Broncos at Seahawks, the Super Bowl.

Redone. Even worse. Even worse for the Broncos. It's not a neutral site. It's in the 12th man will be present at this one. So what does that mean? Let's talk about this because everybody owns a Bronco, right? Peyton Manning, Wes Welker, Emmanuel Sanders. Welker is reportedly going to be back. Back from the drug policy change. From his ecstasy trip.

Demaris Thomas, Julius Thomas, Monte Ball. I'm still starting them all. You start them all. I don't think the Seahawks were exposed as fraudulent by any means last week. Very powerful Broncos offense. They were at least shown that they can be beat. The Broncos defense, I think, this is a much better defense than they faced last week. Last week, last year in the Super Bowl.

And when your defense is better, the whole game has changed. Your offense is better because your defense is better. So you're starting all the Broncos? Yeah, I'm still starting. What about Emmanuel Sanders? Does he go down with West Walker coming back? I think he takes a slight of a hit. I'm still going to start Sanders. I still start him right now, yeah. In Seattle, we've got keep your eye on the practice reports this week, just in case something pops up for Lynch. Lynch in his back.

This has been something that we've seen for years with his back spousalms. He normally plays, but he might not practice. Keep a close eye on it. And if you need to, maybe handcuffed with Robert Turbin. Yeah, do not take Michael. I would take Turbin. Yeah, absolutely. Turbin actually scored last week. And then as far as Russell Wilson, Percy Harvin. Harvin is a dynamic threat, but last week that game got away from them, and he didn't get a touch outside of fumbling on the kickoff return after his...

Long touchdown. His fraudulent run? Yeah, he is out of bounds touchdown. But he is. The jet sweeps, they're running with him, is running opportunities. We'll see if they bounce back. They normally do at home. So Seattle, I actually got Seattle winning this game. I don't think they're going to lose it at home. I don't think so either. I think I'm taking Seattle. Chiefs at Dolphins. We got three games left here. The Chiefs are facing the Dolphins. The Chiefs showed me a little something this past week, being resilient and nearly putting that game into overtime against the Broncos. But from a fantasy perspective,

I think the only relevant players here are Nile Davis and Travis Kelsey. Yeah, I'm not starting any Chiefs receivers. No. I would actually, I'm still skeptical to start Kelsey, even though I like him and I think he's on the precipice. Yeah, that's fair, actually. I shouldn't just throw him in as a starter. But if you need him. Maybe you're going to roll the dice that this is the week it happens.

And then you look real smart. If you're the Vernon Davis owner and you... Yeah, there you go. And you need a guy. Maybe Kelsey's your guy. In Dolphins, I like Mike Wallace a lot in this game. You just lost your top back in Noshan. Lamar Miller is banged up. You had to bring back Daniel Thomas. You have put Daniel Thomas back on the team. On a professional roster. What are...

Desper times. He knows the system. So I'm going with Tannahill and Mike Wallace. So you think that has some success against that chief secondary? I do. I absolutely do. Eric Berry's gone? I have not heard if he's playing. He was in the same boat as Charles, so he's probably going to be out. And that's in Miami. So I don't mind those plays. I'm taking the dolphins to win, and I'm taking the Dolphs to win fantasy. Oh, you're taking the Chiefs? I am taking the Chiefs to win this game. Yeah, I think the Chiefs actually come out in.

Run away with it. Steelers at Panthers. Sunday night football? We got the one-in-one Steelers. Prime time. And the Cam Newton-led 2-0 Panthers. Well, Cam Newton slash Derek Anderson. Give him the credit. The Panthers' defense is tough, man. They are a really great defense, and the Steelers last week showed us nothing. That their defense sucks. Yeah, well, and they showed us nothing on the offensive side of the ball either. So are you worried about Lev?

The Leviathan. You don't sit Levi-on Bell. No. But I think you're worried. But you're worried that he's going to have a poor performance. And he will. I think this is in Carolina. You're going to have to deal with Luke Kieckley. Don't expect monstrous things from Labion Bell this week. It's probably going to have to come in the air. I think so. Yeah, I think pass catching from him. Which he can do. I think for Pittsburgh in general, it's going to have to come in the air. So you're talking Antonio Brown.

and Marcus Wheaton. Yeah, you're not sitting at Tonya Brown. No. That guy is matchup proof to me. He is the least respected superstar in fantasy football. Oh, I love Antonio Brown. And then for Carolina, it's kind of... Calvin Benjamin? What's your temperature on Kelvin? Oh, wow.

This is what people come for. That was very scientific. The fantasy footballers dropped the science and the literature reference. Oh, my goodness. My temperature on Kelvin is probably stay away from him because he's going to have Ike Taylor on him, and he had the drops he's last week, and he's a rookie. I'm playing him. There you go. I am playing Kelvin Benjamin this week. All right. So you've got a hunch that the Kelvin's... Sometimes you've got to follow the gut. Well, you know, there you go. And speaking of guts, Jonathan Stewart...

Are you talking about, like, metaphoric guts or? As opposed to the one hanging out at the front of it. Oh, no, that's Tolbert. I was picturing Tolbert in my head. That's the gut I'm talking about. Sorry. I'd stay away from the... I apologize to Jonathan Stewart's family. John's Stewart's got some heft on him, too. But...

But, yeah, the Panthers offense, stay away from the running backs. Stay away from everybody, but about Greg Olson to me. And if you're with Mike, you'll start Calvin Benjamin and be disappointed. If D'Angelo Williams sits out, I'm starting Jonathan Stewart as a spot. Because if he's on my team, that means something went wrong. But all the indications are Dee Will's playing. That's what we've heard. And it's a Sunday night game, so you don't, if you're taking a chance there, you better have somebody to play on Monday night like you're sorry.

So that's that game, and I've got, I think Panthers win that game at home. I agree. I want to take the Steelers, but in a upset, but I just don't think it's going to happen. And then Monday night, we got our last game here. The Chicago Bears. Smoking J. Cuddy. Duh, bears. Throwing nonstop Marshall touchdowns. And they're playing in New York against the Jets and Gino Schmidt. Schmitty. So let's see.

Are you scared to start anybody? No. What about Forte? Obviously, you're starting it, but do you have? What is your sentiment on him? Yeah. What's your feeling? I think Forteys just has the skill set to perform in this circumstance out through the air. He had a really... He got bottled up last week, but he didn't. It wasn't for lack of targets and attempts. Right. So I just think it's a matter of, you know, this game, to me...

is not one where they're going to be throwing. I mean, they're going to throw the ball, but they're probably going to have a lead. So I would expect find things from Forte. I think you get an extra day for Marshall and Alshan to be healthy. I think Alshan looked bad, right, or limping around the field. But keep your eye on those guys, and if you don't have a backup, you're talking about Monday night. You better have Santonio Holmes on your bench. Right. Have Santonio Holmes on your bench. If you're playing them out of the flex, have.

Martell's Bennett ready or one of the running backs from New York. You need to prepare yourself. Otherwise, just go with somebody else this week. If you're the Ashon owner, let's get an example here. If you're the Ashan owner and you've got Kelvin Benjamin, I'm going Kelvin Benjamin. You're starting Kelvin Benjamin. You're starting. If you're the Brandon Marshall owner and you've got... I heard he played after a leg amputation. Was this this past week? No. You're saying if he's hurt, he's playing, and it don't matter. I'm saying you remove his leg, and Brandy Marshall is going to go. He's going to go back out there. And he'll score a touchdown. Yeah, he probably will. Yeah, he's one of the top wider series and fantasy right now, and will be throughout the year. On the other side of the ball? Oh, yeah, I guess we should talk about. Yeah, on the other side of the ball, you got starting any of the jets at all? Who? Yes.

Offensively? Yeah. If I got one of the running backs, I'm starting them. Because of the Bears' defense? Yes. Okay, so let's take a look here. Who would you rather have? Would you rather have Johnson or Ivory? This is, my gut tells me Chris Johnson, which I know he had an awful week, but I still think Chris Johnson's the guy to own out of the backfield. Even Ivory seems to get the goal line. That is correct. I...

But I'm still, if I have one, I'm still going to start him. All right. Well, that's the matchups. Who did you got winning? You know, goodness, the Bears have been an enigma. I don't know. Probably the Bears. I have the Bears winning the Division. I have Smok and Jay Cuddy as a top five fantasy quarterback. So I'm taking the Bears. Oh, I thought you were going to come back with. And I got dead jets. So let's.

Let's talk about guys that we really like for this week. Sure. I've kind of already done that, but... But, I mean, you're talking... Who do you have the best feeling about? I've already said it, but I love Gio and Jeremy Hill this week. I think they're going to be a scoring... Gio and Jeremy Hill, okay, since now... I can't think of a good... At home against Tennessee.

I think DeMarco continues his huge week. DeMarco is a start for me. I mean, one of the best starts of the week. And I hate to do obvious things, but I think if Peterson plays against that Saints defense with he, I think he'll put, he'll take everything and he'll put that on the field. And he's going to play even angrier than he normally plays. So I...

I've got a breakout candidate for you here. All right, let's see that. I think you're finally going to see the real Keenan Allen this week. I can get behind that. Even though the Bills' defense has been good, I think you're finally going to see Keenan Allen have a week that makes you happy that you drafted him in the top few rounds. I feel like depressed. You have to be a little worried about that, which opens it up for Allen, who has been played two of the...

top defenses in the NFL. Yeah, especially on the passing side. So, yeah, I like, I can, yeah, I can get behind that. All right.
