Fantasy Football Podcast for Week 2/3

He missed practice again today, two days in a row with the hamstring. The good news for all of you, Julio Jones owners, is he practiced in full today, and he is a start and never-sit kind of player. You never sit Julio Jones. What about the running back situation in Atlanta? Can you start anybody? Oh, man. I guess I don't start everybody, but. Yeah, you don't start. Stephen Jackson, Devante Freeman, Rogers, Joaquiz Rogers, Anton Smith. You never know who's going to hit. Stay away from those, I think. You're throwing the dice.

Every time you throw it an Atlanta running back out there. So I would shy away from the running back from the Falcons. For the Buccaneers? For the Buccaneers. Oh, man, Rainy. Bobby Rainey? Making it rainy. Regardless of who else is whether Martin's back? Yeah. Oh, I just don't care. Vincent Jackson? You still got to start him. I mean, there's just been no production. McCowan.

McCallin had himself on his fantasy team last week and decided that he was going to run in two scores and not share the love with VJax or Evans. You know, the Buccaneers' offense reminds me a lot of the Bears' offense with Lovey Smith, which is not very good. And we were all hoping for the Bears' offense, the Tresman offense when McCallin came down, but we got the Lovey Smith. Who wins this game? Oh, man. I think Falcons bounce back.

Me too. Chargers Bills, what I will say is I am going to, it's only, we're only two weeks in, but I'm buying end on that Bills defense. It looks really good. I think they are going to prove legit. They shut down. So you're starting them this week? The Bills defense? I think I am. That game is in Buffalo, correct? It is. So I do.

put stock into West Coast teams flying over to East Coast for morning games. I'm still going to start my chargers, like Rivers and Allen, maybe Allen finally. Donald Brown does something. And I like Donald Brown. But there is concern because I think the Bills D is for real. Antonio Gates, for real? Reborn? Not reborn, but...

You know, he was hurting. Yeah, I know. And he came out and gave three touchdowns last week. The problem is his, is the bum hammy, I think it is? Well, whatever, leg, leg injury. I think you got to. Yeah, but you have to play him after three touchdowns. And he was the name we left off the waiver wire list. He is on waiver wire. Is he really? For some teams, I mean, for many leagues, he was, the Lederius Green Hype got to excessive.

If you drafted Liberius Green, you need to immediately pick up Antonio Gates. Yeah. And... Stop throwing these guys away before they're dead. And beg for my goodness. For the Bills, unbelievably, they're 2-0. Sammy Watkins. He is the name to... I think you've got to keep starting him now. Yeah, you probably do. He just got targeted so much and made big plays. He's a lot like Demarius Thomas.

in the fact that you can get him the ball in space. Those little bubble spins slants. E.J. Manuel, his right arm's best friend has got to be these little teeny throws that show up on his stat sheet as 75-yard screen passes. But Sammy Watkins is their most dynamic player. C.J. Spiller had a good fantasy week again, but that was if you got points for special teams. If you don't, then I'm sorry. All right.

So anything else on that game? No. No, no, I think the Chargers probably win that game, but it's probably pretty close. I'm taking the bills. All right. The Ravens Browns. Ravens at Cleveland. Both teams are sitting at 1-1. After the Ravens bounced back against Pittsburgh last week. We talked a little bit about Steve Smith already. I think if you feel comfortable, you start Steve Smith. Tori Smith has been invisible so far, so you wait and see, yeah.

And what about the running back situation in Baltimore? Now, I'm still going to start Pierce, and if you have four set, you picked him up for a reason because you were hurting. So I'm going to start him too. But after last week's just getting shut out on the goal line with Pierce, to me, the thing I'm watching most on this game is does that situation come up?

again with a goal line carry, and does he punch it in? Because if he doesn't, I think the Lorenzo calls are going to start picking up steam. That just makes that Ravens Backfield even more of a mess. Yeah. Which I'm not saying, don't rush out and pick up Tally Fierro, but he is on the watch list. He's a name that you should at least be paying attention to. His...

His attributes are very good for the Kubex run system. So if he's given the opportunity, he could take it. But at this point, he don't pick him out. I would just watch him. In Cleveland, I think first Cleveland's defense could be a little sleeper here. At home, Baltimore hasn't shown a lot of aptitude to score points so far this year. Right.

I'm not saying. Oh, start Tucker. Absolutely start Tucker. Oh, yeah. For Baltimore? Great. But, yeah, Terrence West is a good start again this week. Ben Tate's out again. Other than Terrence West, though, I don't think you want to be starting a lot of the offensive pieces unless you need to start Andrew Hawkins. I'm okay with that, especially in a PPR league, high receptions. I would agree with that. But I actually think that I think Cleveland wins this game at home. A very close game, but it's tough.

It's tough because... I will actually... I take the Browns, too. All right. So let's move on to the Tennessee Titans, which have been a bit of a two-faced team so far, at Cincinnati. And this just does not look good for Tennessee. Start your Bengals running backs. Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. The Marco Murray destroyed these guys, the Titans last week. I'm in a league. I'm starting geo. Not that you weren't, but if you have Hill...

And you don't have a surefire guy to start over him. I'm starting Jeremy Hill this week. Yeah. Is there anybody that you want to start at all from that Tennessee offense? Because for me, it's sit them all. Yeah. Sit every single one of them. My note is I'm sitting all Titans. Yeah. No locker, no Hunter, no green, no Sankey. I guess Delaney Walker would be the guy that if he's your tight-in, he's your tight-in. You have to start him.

But Cincinnati's defense looks legit. That team looks legitimate. And they're at home. So, like, quick, let's talk quickly about what do you think is going on with the Titans running backs? They seemed to have lost faith in Sean Green last week. I think Sanky's going to get his time in the sun here soon. McCluster. Next couple weeks or you think? No, no. I think. Five weeks or further? Yeah, I mean, he's probably going to get dropped in a lot of leagues from those type of owners that don't.

You know, they bought the hype of a preseason depth chart and drafted him and he puts up zeros. So you might be able to stash him. Yes. And I would absolutely stash him as well if I had the spot. Because he, you know, Dexter McCluster they brought in to be. He's hurt. Yeah. And they brought him in to be this Woodhead, Danny Woodhead role. And he's not performed. So Sankey's going to get his time. I think last week was kind of a.

terrible performance by that team altogether. It's not like Green ran poorly. He was 5 for 40. So I would wait and see on Sankey. But yeah, that's a good question. Good thing to bring up. Who do you got? Who's winning? Oh, the Bengals destroy them. I mean, yeah, and start your Bengals. Start your Geo, Dalton, Sanu, Bengals defense. Green, if he plays. You play? Yeah, absolutely.

Yeah, I do. You don't, if a guy, a perfect example is Brandon Marshall last week. He doesn't need to be 100% to perform in the red zone against this defense, in my opinion. So I think if you got AJ Green, unless you have just an amazing other option you play him. All right, let's move on. Cowboys Rams. My note here is who are the Rams? I have no idea. Are the Rams the team we saw last week against the Buccaneers? Or are they that?

The dumpster fire that we saw against the Vikings. I think they're the dumpster fire. And I think last week we saw exactly how ineffective in much of a struggle it's been for the Buccaneers so far. I don't think the Buccaneers are a very good team. Okay. And so, but yeah, they were kind of gritty last week. Austin Davis didn't even commit a turnover. Yeah. He played okay. But to me, I think the Cowboys defense last week was...

A complete surprise. What's going on with that? You have to believe it will crack eventually. Right now they are one of the best three teams against the run. They are the third best team against the run right now. I think that's going to continue with Stacy. I was never a big Stacy guy. Didn't buy into the hype. No, the average was just too low for me. So is there anybody to start from St. Louis?

I don't see anybody. No. Even if you take a fly around quick, you don't start it. Oh, you're not starting. You're just picking them up to see what happens. And Cowboys, you're starting them. Des. And actually, I like Witten. I think Witten finally puts up a Jason Witten type. And I think this is a great streaming defense too, which is not the Cowboys. The Cowboys streaming D this year or this week is, which sounds ridiculous. But they're actually, right now, they're in the top five against.

wide receivers and against running backs in terms of fantasy points given up. And, you know, part of that's this alternate offense where you're taking the clock up with DeMarco Murray and you're not putting your defense in a position to be completely lit up. So, yeah, as far as Romo, you've got to start him if you're still probably starting him. I don't blame you if you want to try your luck with Cousins or Tannenhill this week. However,

If I'm the Roma owner, I'm still playing Roma, especially against these Rams team. Moving on, we've got the Green Bay Packers in a divisional matchup against the Detroit Lions. Now, I am somewhat torn on this because instantly my mind says this is a fantasy fun house game. This is a motherload of fantasy points just exploding all over the board.

A little Stafford Rogers explosion. It's a division game. And division games are always much, not always, but generally are much tighter than... I think it will be a close game. I do agree with that. I just don't know if... I wonder what the over-under is right now. I wonder for that game. I don't know if that's come out yet. But I'm going to lean towards Fantasy Funhouse. I'm starting everybody. Oh, my one sad face note is Fantasy Funhouse except...

For Lacey. Yeah, you know, I looked up Lacey against Detroit last year. He averaged 4.5 a carry, had 100 yards rushing. But, yeah, right now, so far, he's had some tough matchups. It's going to really depend on the way that the game flow goes, I think. It's going to depend on the – I think this is going to be a close game, so I've got the Packers winning it. I start everybody on both sides, and that means Stafford, Calvin.

Reggie Bush? I think when I said, when I say everybody on both sides, I have to say yes. It hasn't been good for Bush, though. 44% of snaps he's been in. The Packer defense is not good. I think you can start him as a flex. You have to play Lacey. If you have Lacey on your team, you took him in the first round. So you still have to play him. I think he'll be okay. I mean, you had poor performances so far this year.

but you had a really weird game last game, and the first game he got concussed. So I think you stick with him. He's going to get the goal line. He's going to get opportunities to catch the ball. Starks didn't get a carry last week. So I still think Eddie Lacey's a guy that you – if he struggles this week, I still think he's a guy you buy low on. Yeah. Oh, if he struggles this week, I'm launching a full attack to get Lacey on the team. To acquire him in all leagues. Yeah. Okay, moving on. Texan – oh, you have Packers. I have Packers as well. Yeah.
