what Kansas City needs if they don't have Tyreek Hill, which is someone to run as fast as they can so that when Patrick Mahomes uses the cannon, somebody's there to catch it on the other end. It's rare for a rookie to have the opportunity to walk into an offense, potentially start on the outside with an MVP quarterback that just threw 50 touchdowns. That's what he has before him. Whether he delivers on that promise, I don't know.

but he deserves to be highly considered in your rookie drafts. Yeah, I've 100% agree. And Andy Reid knew this. The, Matt Mahomes is incredible. He's going to be one of the best quarterbacks in the league for a long time. But Andy Reid knew the key to this offense was there was speed. Because if you take.

If you take the burner away and you're left with Watkins, who can be a possession guy, Travis Kelsey, who can also be a possession guy. You lost Chris Conley to free agency. If you don't have the speed, this offense will not be nearly as high powered as it was last year. That's something I wanted to point out. So we're talking about Miko Hardman as, you know, he is a winner. But the reality is the drafting of Miko Hardman.

is essentially admitting that Tyreek is not going to be on the team. Sure. It's swapping out Tyree. That's how we're all viewing it at least right now. Am I correct to say that we're all viewing. Okay. So if that's the case, then Pat Mahomes is a loser here. Agreed. And the entire offense from what that monstrous offense was last year is they take a slight down. He's a loser from the perspective of losing Tyreek. He's not a look.

He'd be a bigger loser if they didn't draft the wide receiver. 100%. I mean, me, Cole is great for Pat Mahomes losing. But we can't say that me, Cole, Hardman, is just going to come in and be Tyreek. I mean, we had 35 receptions last year in college. This is a guy who's very fast. He's not as good a route runner. Doesn't have the same hands. We haven't seen the toughness yet that Tyreek showed on the field at that size. So.

You know, I do see Sammy Watkins as a winner and Travis Kelsey is a winner just from a standpoint of they are all the more important to the offense. And then we can talk about running backs. I don't know if I view them as winners because I don't necessarily see the volume, the target volume going up for them. No, DeMarcus Robinson would be a loser in this situation because he had an opportunity with Tyreek being gone. Hardman was drafted ahead of our Sega White side, ahead of Paris Campbell, head of Andy Isabella, ahead of D.K. Metcalfe.

To speak to Mike's point, they should have taken Paris. They were filling their need. And they believed that Hardman offered, I mean, they moved up to get Hardman over a guy like Paris Campbell. Right. And this is a team. They didn't have, I mean, they sort of filled some defensive needs with their first round pick, trading for Frank Clark. But that's where they had problems. It was on the defense. And they said, oh, crap, now we have a bigger problem at the wide receiver position. And that's part of why in this draft.

The Kansas City Chiefs were not able to pay high capital to get a running back. Here we go. No, I mean, that's just the case. They traded picks. They had to use one on two on me Cole Harmon. And so you're saying in a perfect world they really would have wanted to get a big running back. I believe that that is true. This is Jason. They still spent a six rounder on his bedtime story. Darwin Thompson. As he goes to sleep to shake off the the shadows and the demons that Damien Williams is about to become.

Damien Williams is locked and loaded, and here's the reality of the situation. They did not draft a high draft capital running back. They are a team scrambling to fix the wide receiver position. the backbone of the offense at the running back position, those two guys, I still think there's an opportunity for Hyde to make his mark in training camp, and I still think if you're a Damien Williams owner, you need to keep your eyes open. Or if you're a prospective owner, you're an owner. Hold on tight. A prospective redraft owner needs to look at that situation and adjust what they want to spend on Damien Williams based on training camp. Well, I think that you can also say if you're already an owner,

Do you capitalize on the value that he is the perceived clear starter? Because I would. I still think the long term, the dynasty value is not there. In redraft, he's going to be very high in my rankings. Probably be a top 15 running back because I still believe even without Tyreek that it's going to be a plus offense, living the plus life. It will be, but I was going to mention losing Tyreek will have ripple effects throughout the offense. It's not just going to be the wide receivers.

It's not just going to be Pat Mahomes. It'll be the running game, too. What Tyreek Hill did cannot be replaced by a second round draft pick overnight. Sure. And I would say, to change the whole offer. To Jason's point of, do you trade Damian Williams now if you're in a dynasty league? If you are a rebuild team, 100%. Go get value. Trade him to a contender because it could be a one-year shelf life for Damian Williams. Yeah, he signed a two-year contract. But even I'm like, I am firmly on team Damien Williams. I have them on my dynasty team.

But I readily admit this could be a one year thing. But that one year is top 15 with top five upside. So if you are, if you're non-contention,

Go ahead and sell him. But if you have a chance to win this year, I would not sell him. Yeah, and you're only selling him if you get a haul. I mean, that's my point, is you don't just sell him because things worked out well for him. That makes no sense. It's sell him if things worked out so well that someone else is willing to overpay. You're probably only going to get like draft picks because you're not going to get a comparable running back, a top 15 level running back who's more stable. But you could pivot to a wide receiver. Oh, yeah, okay, you can maybe do that. I think this is.

We've heard it several times today on this show, and you heard it on the Tuesday show. This is why before the draft you were kind of looking at not just where these rookies went, but who came out unscathed? Right. Damien Williams came out on Skate. Look, they did sign Darwin Thompson and Utah State, and there's people out there who really like Darwin. I readily admit I haven't been able to dig into him just yet. But he was a sixth round draft pick. The probability of guys drafted in the sixth or later.

It's so astronomical. And yeah, maybe you're riding the high of what Philip Lindsay was able to do last year. The reason why what Philip Lindsay did was so celebrated and so gnarly is because it doesn't happen. Do you think if he performs your thoughts on him will evolve? Oh, very, very nice. Realistically, everything stayed status quo on the offensive side of the ball. They used a third round pick on an offensive tackle. Okay. There's no loser here for the Chargers as far as offensive fantasy football. What you saw last year is what they're going to try to roll out there this year again. So I don't think the draft had any bearing.

And in fact, it only could have hurt. I don't think there was a situation or an opportunity a whole where had they drafted a wide receiver or a running back, we would have been excited about. It only would have hurt their situation. And so it's smart that they focused much more on the defensive side. It reinforces Mike Williams' significant role in the offense. Yes. Did you guys do your overrunners on the? I took the over for the chargers. Did you? I was going to say I actually took the under. Were they at nine?

They were at 10. 10? Yeah, they were at 10. I think a winner, a potential winner would be Justin Jackson, who I know I just talked about how late round guys don't pan out, but Justin Jackson was able to get on the field and show something to the team. Austin Echler's in the last year of his contract, and they didn't add anybody at least this year. Just seeing that Justin Jackson is, if he's on the fringe, like the low end of your bench on your dynasty team, make sure he stays there.

All right, the Oakland Raiders. They drafted one, two, three Clemson Tigers in the first round. Oh, my. Josh Jacobs, welcome to opportunity. First round pick by the Oakland Raiders. That's the headline here. Yeah, he's locked in. He is a, he's going to be given a three-down roll, the high draft capital, the skill set.

And then Isaiah Crowell going down and not a lot of talent behind them. It gives the offense a lot of flexibility to be able to throw to Jacobs out of the backfield. And he is a huge winner with the landing spot. Derek Carr, big winner. Huge winner. He's my biggest winner here because there was all the – Because he has a job? Because he's got a job. Not only does he have a job. It's a pretty good job. Like right now, they went out. They got Antonio Brown. They got Tyrell Williams. They got Josh Jacobs who can catch balls out of the backfield.

They even took Hunter Renfro. Hunter Renfro is a good wide receiver. I think it's not a bad spot for him to go for the future development. But the worry was, are they going to go after Kyler Murray or Dwayne Haskins and replace Derek Card? They didn't, which means they're going to have the stance that that was nonsense. They would never even dream about replacing Derek Card. That's their guide. They're all in on them.

Whether true or not this season, they're pushing all their chips in on Derek Carr. And he is in a position to win, to be an actual relevant fantasy quarterback this season. And I think we're so just done with Derek Carr from the last year and a half that we don't. See, I think it can be valuable this season. I'm out. Even if you don't believe he's, if you're in Game of Thrones, okay, and you've got to go fight the Army of the Dead.

And you aren't sure whether that guy over there is a good fighter. Cars in the front line. Get out of here. What I'm saying is maybe you're not sure that he's a great fighter. But then you give him a tool belt and it's got all the best weapons that exist in the whole world. Yeah. At least you got a shot. Better than being out there in the snow naked. He's going to be a little bit more. Say it once. Say it a thousand times. Little more Tim Allen, little less Al-Borland with that tool belt.

If you know what I mean. So where do you stay? So obviously we, Mike and I are on different sides. Great opportunity for Derek Carr to have a bounce back season. I don't argue with that. Of course he has opportunity. He has the best wide receiver of football on his team. And you don't think that's enough for him to be fantasy.
