Andy Holloway and Mike Wright. Whoa, welcome to the fantasy footballers podcast. It is November 4th, 2014. I am Mike, the fantasy hitman, right. I kept forgetting to call myself that. Yeah, that's not how nicknames work. Well, no one's going to call me it if I don't start using it myself. You're supposed to tell me to call you that. Hey. This is Mike, the fantasy hitman, right? Yeah, and my co-host is Andrew Holloway.

1:47 ↗

Oh man, I thought you were going to drop me a sweet nickname. Andrew lost this three Callaway? Haircut? Haircut. Did you get a haircut? No, that's not going to work every week. I did. I actually got a haircut and the barber cut my ear with a straight razor. What? And I didn't notice it. Kind of bush league. I got home and I had this drip of blood down my ear. And I'm like, I paid to have a man cut me. That is a nightmare zone. Yeah, you know, you go in there. It's supposed to be a fancy haircut with a straight razor.

2:16 ↗

And they cut you to bits. Speaking of cut to bits, man, my fantasy, my whole mood is different when I lose. I understand. You know, you win. If you're out there, you're probably like us where you've got an important league. Now, we're in a couple different leagues, but there's one that we just, you know, care a lot about. And I lost this week, and I thought I was going to win. Why did you lose? Because of Big Ben Rothenberg. Oh, my gosh. You and many other people.

2:45 ↗

Big Friggin' bin showed up to play again six touchdowns, two weeks in a row? Yeah, that's an NFL record, 12 touchdowns in two games. Yeah, those are games that you see like once a career, not twice back to back. Those are games you see when you're playing Madden on Xbox. Right, right. But anyways, yeah, that was a crazy game, but you ready to get into it? You just one quick little, want to toot my horn here.

3:14 ↗

We've been writing for FantasyPros.com doing Fantasy Correspondent work, but I got called up to the big leagues this week, and I have a featured article on there where I... Check it out. Yeah, check it out, where I go over some Week 10 waiver fill-ins for this week, and there's going to be one about defensive streaming as well, hopefully.

3:38 ↗

That'll be up sometime of day. Yeah, check it out on fantasy pros.com. We should tell you where you can find us, too. Oh, yes. You can find The Fantasy Footballers at our podcast is on iTunes, subscribe on iTunes. You can listen to it there and on the website, the Fantasyfootballers.com. And you can email us any of your pressing fantasy questions to the Fantasy Footballers at gmail.com. That's correct. Drop us a line. We'll let you know.

4:07 ↗

We'll answer your question. Yeah, let's get into it. All right. News and notes from around the league. Yeah, let's start with some injuries. Not too bad this week, what we got. I think the big one, the big one was Nick Foles, quarterback of the Eagles, fractured or broken collarbone. I can't remember exactly how they put it. But it looks like he will be out for the year.

4:39 ↗

and possibly the playoffs if the Eagles were to make it. And Mark Sanchez will be taking over for Nick Foles. Yes, Arian Foster. Another big one. Yeah, Fantasy Monster this year, when healthy, he went out with an injury. But the report is that they have a byweek. Houston has a byweek this week. So the report is that he's not going to miss time after that, but it certainly is disconcerting for a guy that's had muscle and hamstring issues. It was a groin.

5:08 ↗

This was the groin injury. And when it happened, it was a non-contact, and he was very visibly upset because he knew he hurt himself and he slammed his helmet down. And I personally am not buying that he's guaranteed to be back after the buy week.

5:30 ↗

So make arrangements. If you need Alfred Blue, go grab him. Which we will talk about him coming up. Lamar Miller running back for the dolphins. He left the game with an AC joint. They're saying he's going to try and play next week, which... I heard that this morning as well. That would be a feat for a running back. He did practice today. He did some things in practice today. I think that's going to be a difficult injury for a...

5:58 ↗

for a running back to play with, but it sounds like he's going to give it a go. All right. Philip Rivers mercifully hurt his hand. Yeah. Did he? Was that his hand or his ego? Oh, that game, we have a really close friend who's a diehard Charger fan. And halfway through this game, I just sent him a text and I said, hey, I'm not trying to rub it in, but what in the world is happening to the Chargers? How is this happening?

6:24 ↗

Bad to worse. They did come out and they said Philip Rivers was not pulled from the game because of his hand. It probably had something to do with the 37 to nothing score. Even better for that, the diehard Charger fan was playing me in fantasy this weekend. He had Philip Rivers. It didn't hurt you, did it? Nope. And let's see. Ronnie Hillman, we'll just bust out the last two. Ronnie Hillman tweaked his ankle in the Patriots Bronco game, but he went back in and was a beast. And Wes Welker left with the back injury after he got.

6:53 ↗

He took a pretty good shot. They're saying he's day to day with a chance of maybe missing this upcoming week and coming back in week 11. So you're probably not counting on Walker at this point. You hopefully weren't counting. I was unfortunately counting on him. It's so sad because you see the writing on the wall. Yeah. His career is coming to an end. One other big piece of news out there. There you go. That sounded so realistic.

7:19 ↗

Yeah, one big piece of news is the Adrian Peterson news coming down today that he's reached a plea agreement that will essentially end the legal components of his case. So it'll be up to the NFL to decide if there's going to be further punishment. And very important to note, not that we are legal experts of any means, but what he pleaded guilty to, I believe, was a reckless assault or something of that kind. But the...

7:48 ↗

There's nothing about... Misdemeanor, reckless, fault. Misdemeanor, yeah. So there's nothing about hitting a minor, nothing about a domestic... That means it didn't happen. Well, I'm not saying that. No, I know. I think these... For the implications of the punishment from the NFL is what you're saying. They can't say, well, you did this, even though your court case was resolved that you were guilty for this. I think that's a fuzzy line that they're going to have to figure out.

8:17 ↗

hopefully we haven't really talked about peterson lately but we were at least eight weeks yeah so and the the standard domestic suspension is six games not that he's not technically suspended he's still getting paid so it's hard to know what the league is going to do and it's hard to know what the vikings are going to do but what we had talked about on this podcast was i thought

8:45 ↗

The worst thing that could happen for Jerich McKinn and Matt Aziada is the Vikings to win. Because I think if they win, the Vikings, it's a weird business decision, but you almost have to bring him back because he improves your team. And they're four and five right now. The NFL is the business of winning. And I think the lions and the Packers, are they tied with six wins?

9:16 ↗

Am I right? I got distracted by the NFL power rankings. Oh, that happened again. I just had to go see where our Cardinals were. That's not fair, man. How do we stay at number two when... Because the Patriots beat the Broncos. If we would have beaten the Cowboys with Romo, we would have moved up. That's... All right, that's totally distracting. But anyway, so I believe that I think Green Bay and...

9:41 ↗

and the lions are both tied with six wins apiece. I'll verify now that I'm not distracted. So that would put the Vikings two games back. It's actually Detroit, 6 and 2, Green Bay is 5 and 3. Okay. So, I mean, there are only two games out. Yep. So they're still in the division race. They are currently the ninth seed in the playoff standing. So, yes, well within striking distance. Green Bay is just on the outside. So if...

10:08 ↗

If Peterson gets cleared by the NFL, I feel like the Vikings have to put him back in. It's very possible. So maybe it... Oh, so we'll get to talking about him, I guess, for when we talk about adding players. Sure. He's probably dropped. But let's talk about some good stuff. This week's fantasy stud muffins. Quite a few muffins. Yeah, you want to start us off? Studs?

10:41 ↗

I snuck him on the list just because he's been gone for a while. Yeah, there was a Marshawn Lynch sighting. If you don't know who Marshaun Lynch is, he's the running back for the Seattle Seahawks. You might not have known from the last couple of weeks. But yeah, a couple touchdowns for old Lynch back to normal. That was the, this was the game we had talked about where if he had failed against Oakland, I was jumping off the bridge, but luckily you're here to step back. I'm casting with us. And we're going to keep riding Lynch.

11:11 ↗

Matt Azad is back on the list. He's a three touched. If he scores a touchdown, he scores three. It is disgusting. Ten for 26 with three touchdowns. And poor McKinnon. Jerich McKinnon still has no touchdowns as an NFL running back, which is you mix that with this Peterson news and you got to be worried about McKinnon moving forward. I do not see Ozietta duplicating this moving forward.

11:41 ↗

I'm not looking for him to repeat his muffany ways. There you go. Mark Ingram, he had a what I thought was good, not great night. It's a great fantasy night. It's a great fantasy night. 30 carries for 100 yards and two touchdowns. The Saints were unabashedly committed to the run. They were. And he was the only guy who could do it. It wasn't going to be Travarez Cadet and Pierre Thomas and Kyrie Robinson are out. So Ingram put.

12:09 ↗

You know, for, yeah, it was a good game. It was a really good game. So two touchdowns, 30 carries. What do we think moving forward? I... Because they've come out and they've said it's likely to go back. Right. They're not going to give them 30 every week. However, from what I'm hearing, the Pierre Thomas and Robinson aren't likely to play again next week. So if it's still Ingram and Cadet, you've got to roll the Ingram show.

12:38 ↗

Absolutely. And he does look different. He looks like a different running back heading into free agency. He's sprightly. My man. I wish I had some trumpet fanfare for this one. Jeremy Hill, who has been one of my guys. He's one of your dudes. I touted him before drafts, and I drafted him in every single one of my teams. I have Jeremy Hill. He went out with a monster performance.

13:06 ↗

against Jacksonville, 24 carries for 154 yards and two touchdowns, and he had a catch for nine yards. Now people will say, oh, it was Jacksonville. Jacksonville's defense has been playing pretty well, especially against the run. So for Hill to come out and dominate this way, including a 60-yard touchdown run where he put the okey-doke on the safety and made him look like a fool and then carried him into the end zone.

13:37 ↗

The Bengals look good with their running game. They got a little bit back on track. Gio has been out. Gio is reportedly out again for Thursday's game against the Browns. So you throw Hill out there. He is a, he is the reason why you handcuff when you have talent like that behind the starter. Absolutely. Dynard Robinson. Move to your guy. Dernard Robinson, yeah, you know.
