News and notes from around the league. All right, the Carolina Panthers have made a splash, gentlemen. They've signed.

one of the last remaining what we deem valuable free agents. C.J. Anderson is now a Carolina Panther. One year contract, and he's going to walk right into a role that suits him well. Jonathan Stewart is gone. I believe they are missing 202 carries from last year. And so in the meantime, we've sat there and we've said, well, Cameron Artis Payne is the only guy left there to kind of step into that role.

Christian McCaffrey is going to have to carry the ball more. And instead, C.J. Anderson lands in Carolina. And again, I like Carolina this year. And this is coming from a guy who doesn't like C.J. Anderson. But I like C.J. Anderson for this. This is the role for C.J. Anderson. Don't make him a three-down guy. Give him 175 carries. That's what he's going to get. That's where I think he'll be. 175 carries. He'll probably score six or more times.

And I think it's very interesting. The question I have for you guys is, what happens to Christian McCaffrey and how you had looked at him? And did you ever really expect McAfee? I mean, he's not going to carry the rock 250. No, he's not going to be 250, but just a shade under 200, I thought was in the realm of possibilities for Christian McCaffrey if Cameron Artist Payne was the only grinder thumper on the roster. But C.J. Anderson.

is a very good running back. We do differ on our opinion of Anderson, but we don't differ on thinking that this landing spot is actually okay. It's not Indianapolis Colts good, where he would walk in as the clear start. As the clear guy. I actually think he is the clear guy. I think he will be, he'll have the most carries on this team. And I would actually slot him in for more than 175. Jonathan Stewart was at 198 and 15 games.

last year. I think he'll come very close. He'll give a little smooch. I actually have them at identical carry counts. CJ Anderson and Christian McCaffee. I haven't both at 175. I think it'll be much heavier in Anderson's direction. Yeah, you've got a new offensive coordinator. That's one thing we've got to keep in mind here. Well, he's not really new. Sure. He's not new in the sense he's 500 years old. He's been around the block in North Turner, but we can't just look at how they called the offense last year.

and think, okay, he's coming in as the Jonathan Stewart replacement that carry counsel be the same. Norve Turner historically has had a predominant back. And if I had the backfield with Christian McCaffrey and C.J. Anderson, two players that I legitimately think are both good. I would give the lead to Christian McCaffrey. So I do think this is a good landing spot for just about everyone involved. I think it'll keep Christian McCaffrey healthy. I never expected CMC to be up, you know, near those.

total touches around 300. And, you know, there's definitely worse spots that C.J. Anderson could have gone as a dynasty owner. I'm happy with this. Okay. Matt Ryan, five-year extension. 100 million guaranteed. Did we mention that on the show already? I don't know, but it's worth mentioning again. I feel like we mentioned that you can make $100 million and still not be able to throw the ball in the red zone. I think that's what we mentioned. Hmm.

So I was just wondering how you handle losing a trade if you trade all the time and then how you get over that for next year or even in the same season making another trade. Definitely dealt with that in the past. I'm just wondering if you guys had any tips. Talking about the tilt.

You need to find some small sliver, some silver lining, some.
