It was a fantastic Monday night football game. And I did not have to sweat with the rest of America. So it was, I just got to absorb all of the great plays from every single player, both sides. While I know that many of you were, you know, just the, the prayers were flowing last night for both sides, for both sides of just absolute redemption, panic. It was a great football game. Plenty of games last night. Yes. You thought the game was out of reach. You thought you had won, or you thought you had lost, and then monstrous performances by a handful of individuals last night. Changes, I mean, just insane. People go into bed thinking they lost by 50, 60. Nope. Yeah, I mean, Travis Kelsey, four touchdowns, Devante Adams had two of them. Now he might be suspended. We'll see. Yeah, he got the rage monster kind of took over there.

For Adams. Yeah, he truck sticked a photographer who has now filed a police report. And I don't blame them. And so we'll see what happens there. Glad he came out and quickly apologized. But, you know, you can't do that. Yeah, it's on film there. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, submitting video evidence. So he'll have to write a check for sure. And Josh Jacobs. I mean, Brooks, you, you were out of town for a while. We gave you. gave you some dapp on the Josh Jacobs adoration. Brooks said no fifth year option. I don't care. Playing in the Hall of Fame game. I don't care. Not a big deal. Not a big deal. He's a great player. Yes, he is. And we do have. Not good enough for the fifth year option to be picked up. Yeah. I mean, he's a running back, so it's tough.

It really is tough. And, you know, they could always bring them back. And the nice thing about the running back market is I don't know that you can play yourself into anything extravagant these days. Yeah, that will be interesting. I don't know the numbers of what would the fifth of your option be compared to, yeah, it was a fief. Okay, I'd just make it sure I'm not the only one that heard that would go on. The native tongue came out a little bit there. No, they did give him his fief year option. They just didn't give them his fifth year. But what is the cost of the fifth year option compared to

what he is trending to making from the team right now. Well, it's a lot more because they would still have to sign a new contract next year. It's just a matter of, you know, what they're paying them this year. This was a career high in rushing, I believe. 21 for 154 and 1. Devante Adams was 3 for 124. After hitting it last week. Yes. So I believe he's broken his own personal record twice. Just watch. Use your eyes. He looks good. He's running hard on every play, making good decisions. On the other side, Derek McKinnon was the lead runner, 8 for 53. Clyde was not good between the tackles. Nine for 15, 1.7, a carry. And then 3 for 20 through the air, almost got into the end zone on a reception, but didn't. And here you are. I mean, without the touchdown, you're at 20.

12 total opportunities for 35 yards. And you did not give what you needed if you started Clyde and you were hoping for a combat victory. Yeah, this is the Clyde Edwards-E-Layer we know and love from his, from the rest of his career. It's really a matter of whether you get those touchdowns. And Travis Kelsey said, no, they are mine. So the Raiders have lost four, one score games now and sit one in four, the Chiefs. the comeback victory. We do have the deucer cam available to us. So let's, let's do it. But it's the playoffs. It's not just like one of 182 or whatever they have. It's like.

It's a playoff game. That's insane. Okay. All right. Any other thoughts on the Monday night football game before we get into the news? Yeah. Darren Waller was. Oh, yeah. Darren Waller unfortunately tweaked his hamstring super early in the game and was ruled out. So if you needed something from Waller, you did not get it. At least the tight end position is super deep and predictable. His season has been a disaster. Yeah, because I've seen the victory lapse about. Kelsey, which are fair, right? Like, you should have just taken them in the first round again. Mark Andrews has had a great, if you, if you drew the wrongs, you know, you drew the Waller straw there, that was costly. Yeah. So unfortunate, and now you're going to be scrambling to the waiver wire, which luckily that's what today's show is all about. Really, any tight end, other than Kelsey and Andrews, any other high draft pick tight end has been terrible.

I mean, other than the Hawkinson, one game. Sure. No, and I don't. He has been terrible. He helped you for one game and was decent in another and destroyed you in the rest. The only other draft pick, I think, was a quality pick for where you got him. Kind of the middle rounds has been Dallas Goddard. Dallas Goddard has performed well, and he didn't cost, you know, the fourth, fifth round pick. Yeah, Kittle hasn't gotten going yet. Dalton Schultz has been a disaster. We all remember Cole Komet. Kyle Pitts. Kyle Pitts, yeah. Yeah, that's bad. Let's talk news. News and notes from around the league. Presented by USAA Insurance. I guess we didn't talk about, and it kind of fits into the news, but we didn't talk about the ridiculous call on the Chris Jones Fumble. The roughing the passer? Here's the thing that I didn't hear anybody say, and maybe this is inaccurate. But on that play, once the fumble took place,

To me, that's Scrumville. Like, that shouldn't even, there shouldn't be anything after the fumble began that is even considered part of a sack. Yeah, the head referee actually addressed that after the game because they were as specifically about that. And he said that when the quarterback is in the act of passing until he can protect himself by rule, and that is how it's described in the rule book, until he can reestablish protection of himself. the rules applied to the quarterback. Still wrong, still incorrectly called because he braced himself with his arm. Like it was an incorrect call and unfortunately you couldn't review it. But I was really proud. Which they do in college. Right. I was very proud of the Kansas City Chief fans there because they let them have it and they didn't stop. They went to halftime. Came back and the crowd let them have it. They were holding the grudge and I love to see it. It was a.

It was a potential game-changing, very incorrect call. He did. He tried to catch himself not to fall onto the quarterback. But he couldn't use both hands because he was busy taking the football away. I'm sorry that he decided to go after the ball instead of prioritizing not completely smushing the quarterback. Well, and you're a victim of your size in that situation, right? If that's Buda Baker and he's sack in the quarterback, he can't land on him hard enough. You know, like the NFL came out and said they're going to invest, they're going to look into this. You know, we got to get to the point where we accept that football is inherently.

a physical sport. Players have to be able to do something to tackle the quarterback. And players are going to get hurt. Has anybody ever been willing to say players are going to get hurt in the last 10 years and we just have to accept it? You know, there's not a penalty every time somebody, we've seen this in the secondary, right? Where there is a big hit that is a legal hit with a shoulder or something. And then it's a penalty because the... inherent reaction to the player being down in the field is, oh, no, they're hurt. Something must be a penalty. It's football. Yep. It's a tough game. Mike McDaniel said Tua, Tung of Iloa, not yet cleared for football activity, unlikely to play in week six. Okay. I think we'll have Teddy back, though. Damien Harris, the hamstring, likely to miss multiple games, New England, and Romandre Stevenson get Cleveland, Chicago, New York, Indianapolis, before the buy.

I don't think you'll see Damien Harris in those games. Yeah, it would be, it'll be at least two weeks before he's back. But with the by week coming up in a month, you might end up holding him out. In the meantime, holy moly, Ramandre Stevenson is going to be good. And in the short term, I am devastated. Why is that? Which side of the equation? I don't know if you guys know this. I don't have a running back to start this week now. Oh, man. Damien Harris, I just lost. So that's, I'm in, I'm in a real pickle. Oh, really? Yeah. Yeah. Who do you, uh, you play anybody from this office? You play Al or? I don't know who I play this week. Oh, let's, uh, let's, let's. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. Uh, the, my bountiful riches. You have a bunch of guys that, uh, uh,

are hard to get excited for they are running backs but they're starters but yeah i mean i mean it's like a j dillon right and zeke and yeah and it's just like i mean they could fill a hole for sure uh they're much better than no running back that is true yeah the commanders uh jehan dodson didn't play in week five didn't practice on monday his comments made me think he's going to be out a little while logan thomas limited Probably not a solution to your tight end woes. Yeah, the fact that they play on Thursday is very low odds that Johan Dotson plays. Isaiah McKenzie in the concussion protocol. And the Seahawks claimed Tony, Tony Brooks, James Jones, Jr. off of the waiver wire from the Saints. So it's good to have him back in the fold. Yeah, sure. But poor Rashad Penny. Is that literal? No, it's just, man.

I'm sorry. He's so good and his body does not want to play football. Yeah. I mean, well, this is like you broke a bone too. You don't prep your body for not breaking a bone. Well, I mean, you're supposed to milk up. Oh, yeah. Got milk. I don't know what Rashad Penny's milk stance is. Maybe kicking some trees. You know what I mean? You got to toughen up the shins. You got to build up them bones. You think he's going to bamboo scratch? He's going on almond milk. Is that the problem? I don't know. I mean, I would never accuse a man of not being on team milk. Yeah. Do you do any of the deucers back there? Are you any alternate milk consumers? Are you all? I mean, there's dairy problems out there. Give me your percent. If you're, what, are you two percenters? I'm a whole man.

Oh, are you really? Well, someone doesn't have a weight problem. I'm just saying you will not be a whole man in a few more years, Kyle. What about you, Brooksie? Two percenter. Yeah, that's where. Do we have bye weeks now? We unfortunately do the Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, Las Vegas Raiders, and unfortunately the Tennessee Titans are on by. Well, you know, you have a dominating one game leading the division. You should be fine, Jason. All right. So we do have bye weeks to add to the mix with injuries as we welcome some players to the fold. It's waiver wire time. And. Let's begin. We saw Jacobi Myers come back from injury to eight targets, seven for one, 11 and one. Is he at the top of your list if he's available? Because he is, you know, rostered in a majority of leagues. Sure. He is available in some. And yes, he is my, he's my number one wide receiver acquisition of the week. 38% of the targets this past week, 38 when we saw him in week two, 20%. I mean,

Jacoby Myers has always been a PPR guy. But if you're going to be pulling in that type of a target share, those are absolutely incredible numbers. The upcoming schedule that we laid out for Stevenson, it's the same for Jacobi Myers. That's, it's pretty soft. And like, where do the running back targets go? Right. Where do they just filter to Jacobi Myers even more? I think that that is a possibility for him. So he just, he feels like an incredibly safe, the ceiling isn't outrageous for Jacoby Myers. It really never has been. But for a, for a low-end wide receiver two or a high-end wide receiver three to be sitting there for you to pick up, I would.

I would go after him at the wide receiver position. Yeah, a couple weeks ago before the injury, I said he was basically a poor man's Deontay Johnson. And if you... He might be the rich man now. And that's what I... Well, that was where I'm going. He might just be Deonté Johnson. If Deontay Johnson was on waivers. What would you spend on Deonte Johnson? You'd spend up because he's such a talented wide receiver. He has a history of being great, great for PPR. But now this current season that we're playing fantasy football in with the quarterback situation for Deontay Johnson with, you know, the arrival of Pickens kind of siphoning some of that off. It's a very, very similar comp, a PPR guy that can really have a big performance if he gets a touchdown. And so I would, I would.

I would go pretty hard at Jacobi Myers if he was on waivers. Obviously, mostly rostered in, you know, in most deep leagues. We also do have kind of a cool, big announcement, something that for our waivers that we are unleashing on the website today. It is live right now. We have a waiver wire page now. We've never had that. We've always written like a, you know, a recap of this episode, and we've put that out there. But there hasn't been a place where you could go Monday night. You could go Tuesday. You could go and look at a list of our players. See how much fab we would spend. See how each one of us individually prioritizes.

each player within the position and overall, which position we would go after, you know, if you've got a roster spot to burn. We have that now up on the website. So you can go to the rankings, just go to the fancy footballers.com. And it's under the rankings, waiver wire rankings. You could go there every week forever. Nice. Yeah. I recommend it. I love it. I was putting in waiver claims and it's really nice when you could just have like I. We know this. We're talking about this. But it's nice when you have the list of people that you can just at a glance, one screen the other screen. Right. Let's talk about the Steelers, though, for a second, because your comments, you brought up Deontay Johnson. George Pickens last week was six for 83. Pickens is exciting to me because you get big plays. You can get really big plays at George Pickens. I know you'll disagree with me on this next comment, but...

Since you brought him up, I believe and am actively targeting Deonté Johnson in leagues. I think Deonté Johnson is a perfect by-low candidate. We're talking about George Pickens because he had a six-for-83 game with eight targets. Deontay Johnson had his most targets of the season. 13. With Kenny Pickett this past week. Problem is he caught five of 13. But when I see the targets you're maintaining with the transition of quarterback, And the history, you brought it up, right? That's the difference between Jacobi Myers and Deontes, you have multi years of production. I do believe he's a target. So I will be pursuing him. I don't disagree with that. I think Deonté Johnson is a fine undervalued target right now. But, I mean, if Jacobi Myers is on a team and he's not on the waivers, I think you could poke for him as well because they just, nobody really wants, nobody values the guys that aren't touchdown scores as well as they should, especially if you're in a PPR league.

Pickens, 71% rostered, though. So let's get into some names that are a much lower rostered, interesting names. Jason, are you reacting to Alec Pierce here? I am. There is another rookie across from George Pickens who I think is the better pickup than Pickens. I mean, you can. Better pick? It's a lot of pick. Yeah. Pick the players, not your nose. Picking up the pickens. Pick the players not your nose. Alec Pierce. Was the target leader last week for the Indianapolis Colts? Over 21% target share has looked great. Was an early round draft pick. You know, everyone loves George Pickens. I love George Pickens. He's super talented. I thought he should be a first rounder. He drops into the second round. You know who else was a second round pick? Alec Pierce.

And because we weren't expecting him to be a first rounder who we feel dropped, we don't give him the respect, but he's looked great. Matt Ryan loves him. There's also the target tied for the target leader of the week before. Yeah. So it's not just one week. He is absolutely involved and very, very talented. So I, you know. He's a must pick up. Now, how much you spend on Fab, that's going to depend on your depth, right? But I think you need to take the shot on him because I think this offense is going to figure some things out. I mean, they have looked so terrible, right?

But one of those games was no Jonathan Taylor. One of the other games was no Michael Pittman. And I think that might have been Alec Pierce's first game. So you have two weeks that are, and he's coming into this Frank Reich system. We've all trusted Frank Reich over the years. I do think it will get a little bit better. You know, Brady had a really soft, bad start to the year. Got some pieces back. You know, Pittman, Pierce, and Taylor with the three gigantic tight ends. It could get a little bit better for them. It can get a lot better because the uptick of Alec Pierce this last Thursday night, I think that you can say there was some correlation with Ashton Doolin getting banged up in that game. And then so if Doolin is still dealing with his foot injury, and then the other competition for Routes is Paris Campbell, who's just running around out there. He's just, I mean, probably having a good time, just getting some exercise in.

But that's the competition. So I do think that Pierce is a priority ad this week if you need wide receivers because as the year goes, I mean, I expect that it will be Michael Pittman and Alec Pierce before sooner rather than later. He played his first game as a rookie. He didn't do much. Then he got a concussion. That's part of why he might not have done much. But then he comes back week three. Since week three, the last three games, he is averaging five for 74. That would be 85 for 1258 yards. Yeah, that's delightful. Obviously very small sample, three games to extrapolate out, but it just shows the talent is there. And the reason I like him more than Pickens isn't really because I think he's better than Pickens. It's just because he's cheaper.

People are going to go hard after George Pickens harder than they will after Alec Pierce. Yeah, Pierce, I think, is the priority ad under 50% roster percentage. And I would drop Elijah Moore, Alan Robinson, Juju Smith, Schuster, all of those guys for the upside of Alec Pierce. Jason and I made an offseason Alan Robinson juju trade. I told him before the show, we traded the wind for the wind. I mean, it's just, juju turned what? She lacked a wind. Juju turned 34 this year. And I mean, that's what it feels like. The reason I wanted to make the trade is because if they both did good or they both did bad, well, at least juju is younger. He's aging at a rate that's like there's a scientific like movie to be made. What was the movie where they were on the beach?

Oh, yeah. Yeah, the M-N-Night Shamelon movie. We just saw this. No, that's exactly. The J-Ju-Ju went over there, and now it's like five years for every one year or one hour or something like that. Beyond Alec Pierce, let's talk about. He's 25 for what is. He was 25. Yeah, yesterday. He is no longer. He went from 19 to 25 to 34 in three years. But outside of Alec Pierce, I think there are some, you know, a lot of the names that will be. At the top of waiver list today, I think have a little bit of a trap floor where Khalil Shakir scored, right? Diomy Brown scored. Randall Cobb got a bunch of targets. I don't, me personally, now I want your takes, I don't look at those players as sustainable options.

to pivot to. I look at one of them as a good pickup. Diami Brown is a temporary thing. He had a perfect matchup and Jahan Dotson was gone. Now, Johan Dotson will probably be gone this Thursday. If you want to take another shot at a deep bomb touchdown, sure. But Diami Brown is not going to be a thing going forward. There's too many targets in this offense. He is not really worth a pickup for me. Because if I'm not going to play him this week and I'm not. then I'm not going to need him on my roster. I'm not picking him up at all. Same with Randall Cobb. I'm not going to be chasing the game that will come every four or five games where he leads in targets and doesn't do enough with him. But Khalil Shakir, I am interested in. And the reason I'm interested in is because Jamison Crowder was really, really involved. We don't know. When Isaiah McKenzie comes back from his concussion, which we hope is this week, Isaiah McKinsey could be.
