A little fun for the Christmas season. Brooks is going to take part as well. We're going to do a little holiday movie draft to start things off. We're going to do about three rounds, Brooks, before we get into the matchups. You bet. And I just did a random thing to determine the order and Mike's got the first pick. So Mike has the first pick. That's not fair. That's not fair for you guys. In our holiday movie draft. Mike, what are you going to go with? Lots of choices. I can't tell you right now. Well, aren't we starting it?

Oh, I missed that part. You're on the clock. We're starting the show with the movie draft. It's a quick question. All right. That's easy. The new version of The Grinch with Jim Carrey, it is unbelievable. I've just watched this yet again with my kids. I'm still finding new throwaway lines in this movie. And I'm cracking up. Jim Carrey, this is the nuance.

and the subtlety of so many of the jokes makes this a lifetime gym. I need to watch that. You still haven't seen it? I don't think I've ever seen the whole thing. I've seen parts of it. Who's second on the clock, Brooks? You're up. I'm up. And I can't choose Die Hard or can't I choose Die Hard? Oh, you can choose. Look, Die Hard is my number one choice, but I think we're not trying to stoke the flames of Is Die Hard a Christmas movie or not? We'll leave it off for today.

Because that's, I mean, die hard is just my, it's my favorite movie of all time. So that's what I would take it. This is tough because I have the option. I could go classic with like a Christmas story or It's a Wonderful Life. Or I could go with Home Alone, which is another great option. I think I'm going to set the foundation of my roster here. And I'm going to go with a Christmas story. Now, I realize that, what was your reaction there, Brooks? That was my pick.

Oh, was it? That was going to be my pick. Oh, okay. I love that movie. Okay. Good, good. That makes me, that validates my pick there. Brooks, you're on the clock and the turn, so you get to pick up back-to-back Christmas movies. All right. I'm taking Home Alone for sure. Yeah, that's, that's, I knew it wasn't going to get around to me. And I'll take the original Grinch, the cartoon. Ah. It's not bad. You know what? The surprising thing about the original Grinch is how short that is. It's like 25 minutes. It's a short film.

Very, very short. As a kid, it seemed very long. But that's how all things are. Like your 10-minute drive to the mall seemed like an eternity as a kid. So now I'm coming back around to my pick. I'm going to be shocked if my second pick drops to me. Making it through you. You know, it's tough. A lot of good choices. You could go elf, obviously. Yes. You could go Frosty the Snowman, which is a classic. You can go jingle all the way. Oh, the holiday classic.

Jingle all the way. The Home Alone 2. I'm going to take Christmas vacation. Oh. I'm going to take National Lampoon's Christmas vacation, a classic. I feel good about that. Yeah, that's not bad. And here we are. Now, Mike, you get a pair of picks. Here we are. I'm shocked. Elf has dropped back to me because Elf is in strong consideration at the 101. It's also a nice compliment with the Jim Carrey Grinch. I feel like those two, they're a nice combo in your backfield. If.

If I had only two Christmas movies, rest of life, ROL, as they call it. And it was Jim Carries the Grinch and Elf, I'm set. I am set. There is no problem with me at all. I see that Brooks has included crampus as one of the options. Which crampus movie. Doug Martin is available?

All right, so you got another pick though, Mike. You're not going crampus, are you? No, because there's, I mean, there's too many crampus movies to change from. I mean, it's, it's nightmare before Christmas. Oh, that, that fits. This is Halloween as I sing about Halloween for my Christmas movie, but it's, uh, it's, it's a great one. And I got to pull that in for my kids because my youngest obsessed with Jack Skellington. My, my youngest.

he's uh he's gonna be one of those hot topic kids yeah i know it's coming i've accepted it not surprised he's gonna not surprised from you he'll probably have the black the black nail polished on the fingers and you know what cool you can deal with that oh i can handle it absolutely you know sometimes we want to draft all the new hotness

but sometimes drafting veterans that just get the job done is what you need to get to the final. I see what you're looking at, and you've got to take it. I'm taking the Charlie Brown Christmas. Absolutely. Yeah, I'm going to go Christmas story, Christmas vacation, Charlie Brown Christmas, three classics, but there's no way I'm finishing last in this league. There's no way with that team. No, it's impossible. And then Brooks, you got to round out this draft. You have a lot to choose from here. You have Home Alone and the Grinch OG already. Who are you taking?

I'm going to take Home Alone 2. I don't. No, I don't mind that. He's handcuffing. No, that's the equivalent of the wide receiver quarterback combo. Oh, the stat. He's got the double stuff. Yeah, it's not just a. Home Alone 2 is not just a handcuff. And if he is, it's a... Yeah, there's value in Home Alone's test. So let us know who you think won that draft, right? I mean, we want some opinion on Twitter at the F. F. Ballers. I'm calling that Mark Ingram and Alvin Camara right. All right. Well, good job.

Jay Gris is kind of upset. He didn't get to participate. Yeah, he's a bird. He's hibernating during this time of year anyway. Shockingly, Jay Gris is not a cinephal. Shockingly. Yeah, I mean, I would have think he would be, he's got all that time in the cave. He tried to be. Admission is an issue. You can't get in. They're trying to make it buy two tickets. Yeah, that's not fair. Like you're a bear. You're going to take two seats. So, Mike, you got the Grinch, elf, and nightmare before Christmas. I went.

All classics. Christmas story, Christmas vacation, and the Charlie Brown Christmas. And then Brooks, Home Alone, too. I wish there was some controversy here. These are all great picks. Yeah. I was really hoping that Brooks was going to jump on love actually. Yeah. I saved it for him because he talks about her all the time in the office. Cannot stop. The Kiara Knightley. I mean, he's just all about her. Isn't Jack Black in that movie? Yeah, that's reason enough not to choose it for Christmas.

I love Jack Black. All right, let's get into the news. News and notes from around the league. It's important to realize that that was Brooks' idea. So if you didn't like that segment whatsoever this Christmas season, it was Brooks's fault. I'm sorry. No, it's good. I'm just saying we don't normally get veered off into, you know, non-football discussions. But that was a lot of fun. It's Christmas. Hopefully everybody's excited for the season. And I'm happy with my draft there. All right, the Seahawks refined 100 grand.

Consider yourself lucky Seahawks fan. This is for the concussion protocol issue with Russell Wilson where in a primetime game for a league that is at least publicly facing hypersensitive about concussions, ran off the field, was put in concussion protocol, was supposed to be checked, checked. The magic tent went over his head. It did not complete the process of going over his body.

Didn't complete the process. And he said, screw this noise. He dipped back into the game. I honestly thought a draft pick penalty was coming for the Seahawks. The next team that does this will absolutely receive that. You got the $100,000 slap on the hand. You have to feel blessed as a Seahawks fan that that's the only thing that happened. All right.
