Oh, wow. Just to put you in a... That's a really tough spot. Put you in a Christmas bind. That's definitely a tough spot. You reach your hand into the stocking and who do you pull out? Shepard. Yeah, I think so too. You're talking about the number one wide receiver versus maybe the two, three on that other team. I probably get a nice gash on my hand when I'm reaching into that stocking. But my bloody stump will pull out Sterling Shepard.

134 passagesLet me ask you this. Do you think I should have left those potatoes in Jason's stockings without telling him? Like, do you think that that would have been worth it to have them have a Christmas morning that has like kind of a smelly potato in there? I mean, every prank you have to figure out what is your, what's the line? I'm just worried about what's the goal. It's the kids, man. I don't care about Jay. Oh, if it was, if Jason was was cruising along in a bachelor pad, I would let those just funk up the house. Yeah. But.
I mean, they're going to get funky if you have stayed in there. All right, let's get funky with Russell. The Seahawks, 8 and 6, the Cowboys 8 and 6. Wow, this game might be. I'm dying to see this game. I mean, this is like desperation. The loser of this game is out of the playoffs. It's over. The winner might be out anyways, especially if you're the Seahawks. The Cowboys, I think their path is a little bit easier. But both teams are at 8 and 6. And a 47 point over under, Dak Prescott, you said you'd start him.
Yep. Zeke comes back. You're hoping he fixes this offense. Yeah, the splits are real. I talked about this a little bit earlier that my disappointment in Dak Prescott, I really thought he could carry this offense without Zeke. But the splits are real for both Des Bryant. I believe he's five or six PPR points better in the last two years with Zeke. Dak is a lot better when Ezekiel. Now Tyrone Smith can miss this game. That is an impact, which...
The fun part about this, of the giant experiment, is you had Zeke and Tyrone Smith go out earlier in the season. Tyron Smith, the left tackle for the Dallas Cowboys, one of the best left tackles in the game. They both went out at the same time, and you saw Dallas implode, and the news reports were all the Cowboys, they can't win without Zeke. So now we will get to see, possibly.
What do the Cowboys do if Zeke is on the field, but they don't have a superstar left tackle? So that's also just another watchable piece of this game. Yeah, I'm very interesting to see what happens if Smith is out. You had the embarrassment of the Seahawks last week. I don't think, you know, I would expect Pete Carroll and company to be able to come out and put up a fight in this game. There were a lot of hurt egos. There was some tweeting going on between.
You know, Bobby Wagner and the safety whose name is, I'm blanking on for the Seahawks. But, uh, no. Chancellor? No, no, no. Earl Thomas, for goodness sakes. Thank you. You know how you do that sometimes? Yeah. Oh. But Earl Thomas and Bobby Agner, they're tweeting back and forth. You know, you shouldn't have played with an injured hamstring and.
I'm very interested to see this game. Now, Mike Davis burned a lot of people last week. Can you play him in this game against Game Script? GameScript completely wrote Mike Davis. So he's a bounce back? I believe so as well. Doug Baldwin bounced back. Yeah. You have to expect that against the Cowboys defense. Yes, I would expect it as well. There are a lot of fantasy relevant pieces in this game. I also heard that Pete Carroll was so upset that he will never chew a specific brand of gum again.
I did not know that. Yeah. I thought it was always peach cobbler that he was eating. I thought he was taking a bite of peach cobbler and then, you know. If he was actually eating peach cobbler. Well, it's like six or seven pies per game. Well, it's Willie Wonka gum. It's peach cobbler gum. Yeah. I mean, we call him peach cobbler for a reason, Mike. Russell, Wilson, you're going to start him. Yes. You got to start the number. Get back on. Now, people don't want that. If they survived last week, they don't want to mess with it again.
The number one, he's still the number one fantasy quarterback. You have to play Russell Wilson. On the year you're saying. Yes. Okay. Not your number one for the week. Because that's Cameron Newton. Yeah, that's fine. But Russell Wilson is a top three option. We all have them at number two for context. Yeah, exactly. Russell Wilson, you play them. If you want to know our top consensus five, it's Newton, Wilson, Breeze, Smith, and Stafford. Nice. Nice. Question for you. Yes.
Low level, because we've been trying to dig in the weeds a little bit with the running back. You know, championship, some people are struggling. Rod Smith has been, he's been downright good. He should be the passing down back still with Zieg back. That's the question. Will they continue to utilize Rod Smith? I mean, how do you? I would not touch him of the 10 foot pole this week. I think Zieg may get a 39 and a half foot pole or whatever. Yeah, the Grinch pole. Zeke's going to get.
every opportunity to be on the field as often as possible. Yeah. It's a curious case. He's got six weeks of ab workouts to get out on that field. So, yes, Rod Smith, while he may still end up the passing downs back, there's no fantasy confidence you can have with him. Hey, guys, real quick, what running back on the season do you think Zika is right now, half point? Oh, even with the missed six games? Yes. 15? I'm going to go 11. 13. Oh, my gosh. So we were both right. Well, well done, Mike.
The 11 and 3 Steelers take on the Texans in Houston on Monday night. Merry Christmas, Houston. Look under your tree. You're not going to like it. Lev Bell is... I hope you like your family. Lev Bell's sitting there. I wouldn't watch. Indian style just sitting there under the tree looking up at you and saying this is not going to be pretty. Nine and a half point underdogs at home. Big Ben and Company coming off of the defeat, still fighting for a number one seed.
And while they won't have Antonio Brown, they do have weapons in Juju Smith-Schuster, Martavis Bryant, you know, Lev Bell, obviously, who is given as many touches as you can possibly imagine. Yep. So from a starting perspective, it really comes down to Martavis Bryant and how much confidence you have in him taking advantage of Antonio Brown's absence. Martavis Bryant, if you believed in him before the Antonio Brown injury.
Then it was you and Mike in a back room somewhere. I'm talking about recently because he's, he's, he is very consistent. Since, since week 10 against the Colts, here's his yardage, 42, 30, 40, 40, 40, 33 59. He's, he's got a very specific range that he sits in. He's got touchdown upside of course, but I don't think that the Antonio Brown injury necessarily is a,
is a huge uptick from Martavis Bryant's target share. He still, he had six targets last week against the Patriots. I think it's an uptick. The wide receivers in, the Pittsburgh wideouts have been targeted 26 and a half times per game. That's number one in the league. I think he can go to the eight, nine range this game. Receptions or targets? Targets. You said he was in the six range. Yeah. I would expect two to three more targets for Martavis, which is two or three more opportunities. Antonio Brown.
missed the vast majority of that game. And Martavis Bryant still had six targets. Juju Smith-Schuster, the star is born, as Jason would say, he is the largest benefactor of the Antonio Brown injury. That's fair. By the way, Lev Bell, nine targets per game. Levy on Bell, also a huge benefactor. I would play him. This week, I'm not making my start of the week. I'm thinking about it. If only that was allowed. All right. Jesse James. Interesting.
Very interesting. Targeted last week fairly frequently. You know, you bring up a guy like Ebron. I'd probably go Ebron over James. Okay. You bring up a guy like Watson. That's where the line is. Jesse James. He got my Jack Doyle award last week with the baby hands. Yeah. Well, come on. Oh, those hands slip. For the touchdown? Those hands slipped off. Those hands, like, if you want, we're not going to get into a catch rule argument here. We should. No. No, we should not.
But when the ball hits the ground, his hands definitely came off the ball. Can you start Lamar Miller? Steelers' defense struggling against the run without Ryan Chazier. But Lamar Miller has been atrocious. Oh, he's been so bad. I don't think you can. Jonathan Stewart or Lamar Miller. We talked about Jonathan Stewart against Tampa having the opportunity. Stewart. Yeah, there you go. DeAndre Hopkins is an auto start. Oh, absolutely. Always. We were talking about him on the show. You know, outside of.
Antonio Brown, maybe O'Dell Buckham Jr. Hopkins will be the next off the board. You want to talk about consistent. I could do the exact same thing with Lamar Miller's yardage of anywhere between 50 and 60 yards for about two months on the ground. Look, if this is what you need for your title game, if you need double digit carries and 50 rushing yards. A healthy P. Rine or Lamar Miller? But he's not healthy. Right. He's not healthy. An active Pyrine.
Okay, that's fair. An active P-Rine or Lamar Miller. Probably go Lamar. I would go Lamar Miller. I'm afraid of groins. Okay, okay. Cut that one out, Brooks. Mike is afraid of groins. When I look under my bed at night, I'm like, oh, please don't be a groin down there. All right, the Raiders. Close the closet. The Raiders were expecting a lot more this Christmas. They thought they'd be playing for what they were hoping to play for last year, which was a title before Derek Carr got injured. Now they're six and eight.
And they take on the 12 and 2 Eagles. The Eagles are 9 point home favorites, 47.5 point over under. And this is our final game of Week 16 on Monday night, Christmas night. Is there any chance that the real Derek Carr is actually still injured? And this has just been a doppelganger the whole year? It's possible. They just grabbed a guy who his actual real name was Carrick Dar.
And they're like, good enough. They just found a raccoon out there somewhere. I'll say they just, they put, they put some eye shadow on. Somebody gave him luscious lashes. I hope so. I mean, I hope Derek Carr is the real Derek car shows up at some point because it's been a struggle. You saw this last week. Hopefully this is not the real Derek car, you should say. Yeah, I mean, yeah, no, you're saying which is more prescriptive for the future. I'm here for the party, guys. He's been.
He's had limited weapons. He's had an offensive coordinator issue, in my opinion. And he still managed to give you a fantasy relevant date from time to time. But this is not the Derek Carr you hope for. This is the regression Derek Carr we all kind of talked about preseason where we liked him, didn't love him. March on Lynch? Touchdown dependent.
Mark Michael Crabtree, my start of the week. Even with Amari Cooper back, Eagles defense does struggle against the wide receiver. 29.7 fantasy points given up. The volume will be there for Crabtree. But outside of that, I mean, I'm not starting Cooper if he's healthy. He only represents a few lost targets for Crabtree to me. And I'm not starting Derek Carr against this, you know, Eagles defense has fifth against or six against quarterbacks the last six weeks. On the other side, Nick Foles, I like him. I don't love him this week. That's fair. That's absolutely fair.
And I think you're going to see a bit of that efficiency regression on Monday night football. He'll probably be good for two touchdowns. I think he's probably good for a pair, which means, you know, you're starting Allison Jeffrey. You're starting J. Ajai. Yeah. Where's your confidence level with Jai? I was really, really hoping that. 10 to 12 points. That last week would be the breakout. He actually received fewer carries than two weeks ago. But he's...
I mean, double-digit carries. JJ is an excellent running back. He's very elusive. So the big play is always there. So you're, you're fully confident playing JJ, running back too confident? I'll put it that way. I mean, I'd be a lot happier with him in my flex, but sure. The carries were 10 to 12 points. The carries were fewer, but he finally hit over 50% of the snaps for the Eagles. Yeah, I'm confident.
And another reminder, I mean, if Minnesota Green Bay on Saturday night doesn't go the way we'd plan and Green Bay wins, Philly will have clinched the number one seed throughout the playoffs. So you know what? I think that affects who only? Zachertz. You think he'll be out? I think if they're going to bench anyone, I really don't think they will, even if they've clinched because they, you have to get reps with Nick Foles and his cast. I agree. But Zach Hertz was the guy who's been beat up a little bit. Maybe not maybe you let him get some rest because.
Troy Burton is an excellent backup. Well, you might see JJ get rest. You might see Legerat Blunt and Corey Clement take more of that workload, not wanting to outwork him before the playoffs. So we're hoping it goes according to script, and we just kind of don't have to worry about this this week for week 16. I'll say if I'm in the championship and I have the spot for it on my bench, which you probably do. If you have, and this is if you have Zacherts and Minnesota loses. Yes, if Minnesota loses.
I'd put Trey Burton on my bench. Sure. Just in case. Just in case. Well, and that's kind of the hedging you need to do. I mean, I would do the same thing with J.Jia and Ligar Blunt. I would do the same thing with Nick Foles with the Derek Carr if he's available because he plays on that same night. If you're leaning on Nick Foles, I just don't want to take the risk.
