this week and who you put in your lineup, who you left out of your lineup. Anything stand out for you this past week? There was a lot of big numbers from quarterbacks this week. A lot of big numbers. Quarterbacks we didn't expect. Some quarterbacks that we didn't expect. Right. But I just think across the board it was a very strong fantasy number. It's almost like it's becoming a...

passing league. Almost. We're almost there. Right. No, that's good. I think this is that time of year now when all the preseason hype about players starts to come either to fruition or you start to get worried about guys. Yeah, that's fair. You know, because those first couple weeks, you got excuses, you got reasons. And honestly, you can't evaluate, you know, if we were basing everything off week one, you know, Kevin Ogletree from...

Last year would be the beast of the wide receiver core. But yeah, I mean, you can't judge on game one, but game four? Yeah, I think you're about, you're 25% through. You're starting to get, you got to make some decisions about guys. And so for fantasy owners, it's got to be things like, do I buy low on this guy? Or is he going to be, you know, Eddie Lacey, right? Right, Eddie Lacey. Top, you know, top five prospect at running back. Top five overall pick? Right. Top five overall pick.

What do you do with them now? Are you in the by-low can? That is a very good question. I think it's probably safe to say that this is a, it is a very pivotal point of when like a season, I don't know why, maybe that's too, speaking too much in hyperbole, but this is a season making decisions can happen right now. I think this is an important time too because depending on what kind of league you're in, you're making.

You're making moves based on, are you at the top of the pack right now? Maybe that puts you in a position where you can buy law on some guys wait a little while. Are you at the bottom? Are you, you know? I wonder what the numbers are, like, for redraft leagues. How many people are, I've quit now? Oh, as far as like those, like the randomly assembled leagues that you have on, like, CBS. Well, not even just random, just, I mean, even.

Family and friend leagues, well, a lot of people go, if they go own 4, 1, and 3, they'll just quit. Yeah, yeah, that's sad, though. It is sad. It is sad. And dumb. Not my leagues. Those owners are gone before they can quit. That's what I... But yeah, let's take a look around the league. News and notes from around the league. Well, let's start with some injuries that might impact owners this week. What do you got? Let's see, what would the...

Most impact. I don't know what the most impactful one. I already want to think about that. Yeah, you have guys coming back. Certain guys are coming back like Jamal Charles came back. And he came back. What did you like from him? I mean, obviously he. He looked really good. He said, remember me? I was the number one pick. I mean, he looked. He looked just very good. There was a, that brief moment of panic when on the, I think his.

third score when he went down it was like oh oh if you didn't have nile davis you were probably freaking out but then it was it was just cramps luckily but that was oh oh yeah but i mean he just he looked shifty and to it would not surprise me and i also think it would be beneficial if reed would play them both and not just run charles into the ground and let davis

have some carries like he did last night. Yeah, he had 17 last night. And that's a good point. I mean, sometimes you do that mix and match, and the fantasy owner doesn't like to see the guy off the field, but we also don't want to see him get hurt, and we want to see guys run on, you know, six yards of carry and not two and a half. So I just think with Charles, his home run ability, keeping him a little bit more fresh during the game, I think fantasy owners can expect that too.

For these next few weeks, at least seeing him eased back into that role. And there was an interview after the game where they were talking to him, and he was his ankle. He said his ankle was very sore. So he's not over it yet, but you're starting. He sure looked really good. Yeah, that wasn't a high ankle sprain recovery game last night. Yeah, some other guys, you know, Teddy Bridgewater got his first start, looked really good.

How would you gauge his fantasy relevance, if any, right now? Because he's also questionable for this week. This Thursday, I am not when, not only is that a, the injury is not good, but you have a rookie quarterback who has to figure out how to play the Green Bay Packers in two days. Right. So it's just, that's a very tough situation, I think, for him. But for the rest of,

the year. I think his outlook is not bad. Especially, I mean, he's with that, when he, when he ran, I think it was a 15 or 20-yard score. Something like that. I mean, it looked good. Yeah, he looked really good. In the pocket. And mobile, he's a lot more mobile, I think, than people. Then we didn't really talk about him running at all. My concern is what he's got right now, which is.

little nicks and bruises because he's not a big guy. He's not Cam Newton. He's a little frail looking. He's felt. Yeah. And so Bridgewater's questionable this week. Got to keep an eye on. Some other guys that. Vernon Davis is having back spasms. That's not good. No, he's questionable right now. Keep your eye on him. If you're relying on him, that's a tough thing to do right now. Another tight end that's tough to rely on is whoever's starting for Washington. Man. Niles Paul. That Niles Paul hit was just.

Brutal. Brutal. Yeah, he got lit up, concussion, not practicing today. So right now, Logan Paulson is the starting tight end for the Washington Redskins, which you might have to pay attention to because of Kirk Cousin's propensity to throw in the middle. Yeah, he likes throwing those underneath. But the play in the Giants game, which the whole game was a debacle, of Paulson had a catch, and I don't remember who the defender was, but he literally just took the ball.

out of Paulson's hands. Yeah. While he was standing there. That should not happen. It was like a gift exchange where Paulson was, here you go. How do you let someone just take it from your hand? It didn't get punched out. He just grabbed the ball and said, I'm stronger than you and I'm going to take the ball. Yeah, that was embarrassing. He said, give me your milk money, Logan Paulson. Are there any running backs left in Carolina? Oh, my.

So what's the situation there? What should fantasy owners be looking for at the running back position in Carolina? You should not. You should not be looking there. So who's the next man up? Darren Greaves, right? Grieves, and then they just picked up off the street. My main man. Chris Ogbenaya. As we call him, Chris Oingo Boingo. Yeah, I don't want to pronounce that name again. I thought he's out of the league. Oh, we call him Oingo Boingo. It's all good to go. So he's, yeah, that's a nasty situation.

That's one of those backfields where you looked at it and you're like, oh, Tolbert and Jay Stu and DeWill and Whitaker and all four are down. So stay away from that. Stay away from that offense in general. Yeah, they look. Greg Olson. Keep Greg Olson in your lineup. I still like him. I guess, yeah. The good news is that he can catch touchdowns from both Cam and Derek Bulletarm Anderson.

Oh, right, right. Well, there's not many pass catchers to go around in Carolina, and they got a home game this week against the Bears, but, yeah, tough sledding when... It's a good matchup, too. Tough sliding when you have a quarterback who is known for his mobility and getting out of the pocket and keeping people honest with the run. They just can't do it right now. No. Other than that, Arian Foster's day-to-day. Ben Tate's practicing today, if you are the...

Terrence West or Isaiah Crowell owner be expecting Crowell. Crowell? Have we? Yeah, you're right. It's Crowell. Crowell. I heard they're calling him the Crowe up in Cleveland. I like it, man. The crow. Undrafted Free Agent. He's looked good. He has looked good. You know what looks good? His physique. He's a, what are you saying? I have noticed his physique. Of course you have.

He's got the Marshawn Lynch about him, doesn't he? He looks like a running back. Yeah, he's strong. Keep your eye on Tate coming back, though, because they said he will start. If he practices, he will start. We've got our own little bet about how. He will get two carries, and he will break. Wow, he does break. Other guys that stood out this week, I got a couple guys on my list. Who you got? Steve Smith. Yeah. Senior. Oh, yes. Oh.

Must qualify. He is just really fun to watch. Yeah. You keep giving him no credit because of this tip pass. No, this week's explosion where he has an outlier stat line from this week with a fluke. Hey, you have to be good enough to get an outlier. On his second touchdown, the play where Joe Flacco, I can't remember if it was a botched snapper if he fell down. But.

he's about to get hit Flacco, and he doesn't even look. He just throws the ball to Steve Smith in the end zone. He just trusts him. Yeah, he's like, hey, save me, Steve Smith, and Steve said, dude can still play. No problem, Joe Flacko. Yeah, he's a, I mean, to me, he's a wide receiver right on the 2-1 line now. I think we've seen enough through 4. He's a guy that you can make a decision on here. Nobody drafted him to be a wide receiver 1, wide receiver 2, and he's performing like a week-to-week, and the trust is only building.

when you have games like this. Fluker not on the long touchdown. He still had a big game. He's still been in the top 10 wide receivers in fantasy so far this season. And I think you have to eventually take the step and say he's here to stay with Flacco because Flacco trusts him. I saw Flacco go to him four consecutive times inside the red zone. That's the kind of trust that that offense has. And you see them succeeding by trusting him. So big week. The only thing that can stop Steve Smith at this point would be.

a Sunday night or Monday night prime time game because he will at that by that point he's already hit the buffet and he's in bed 35 and kicking unbelievable I heard he's upset that his AARP card hasn't showed up yet exactly him and Fred Jackson right

Other guys that we already talked to all about Jamal Charles, Antonio Brown continues to be an absolute monster. Consistency monster. What's the stat on him? 20 straight games with five catches and 50 or more yards. Unbelievable. That's what you want in a fantasy wide receiver, right? We don't want that Deshawn Jackson boom or bust. We want Antonio Brown. You want boom. Boom. Yeah, just boom. Just boom. Nick Novak was boom, boom, boom. It's now Boom, Boom, Brown. Well, and even in the past couple years, I mean,
