It is immediately a problem again, says that this is going to be, he's not going to play week one. He's not, I think it could go several weeks. I think this could be something that turns into a core muscle surgery situation. He is bodied now in my rankings and I've tried to make trade offers, you know, for the hopeful upside because.

But I am completely 100% pessimistic on the outlook of Curtis Samuel. So Logan Thomas gets a bump. And third round rookie Diami Brown, I think is worth a speculative ad. Throw him on the back of the bench.
Yeah, I mean, if Jason's right, which I tend to agree that there's a chance that this lingers for a really long time into surgery. When I hear it doesn't quite feel right after this amount of time. When you saw the video, like it just happened to be captured, him running the route, and he pulls up, and you could see in his face, like this is a man who knows that he's not going to be playing football. He's on a road. Yeah.
Just throwing this out there for week one players that are not on the injury report that may have popped up during the off season. D.L. Henderson, Justin Jefferson, Tyler Lockett, Julio Jones. AJ Brown missed practice, but it was just rest. DJ Chark, Marvin Jones, both playing. Treyquan Smith, Adam Troutman, both playing. Wait, what? Yeah. What? Adam Troutman? What? Not on the injury? Oh, it's a football day miracle. Do you want to take away your Juan Johnson undrafted?
Jam. I think that Johnson is still worth a speculative ad in deeper leagues, but this is, this is incredible news, fellas. Why did no one share this with me earlier? We've been trying to keep it from you. Yeah, clearly. Yeah, it's been really, both producers didn't want to let you know. Can I, we know how you get when Troutman's ready to go. But can I go back and change my my guys. Oh, absolutely. Absolutely. You can, yeah, yeah, we're fine with that. I mean.
Adam Troutman's in. I don't think you want to do that, but that's awesome. That's great. I'm not sure Troutman wants you to do that. He's already overcome one micro, right caused injury. One injury that seems to be healed is Hunter Henry. I mean, he's back. So that's interesting with your Johnny Week 1. It's interesting because, you know, Henry last year is 600 plus yards at the tight end position. Very valuable. Ramandre Stevenson's okay as well.
Anything new, Brooks, that broke over the last five minutes? No, sir. All right. You feel free to hop on the mic and break in if something happens, okay? You got it. Be bold. Be strong. That was today's news and notes brought to you by Sleeper. Hop over there on the Sleeper app. Get the breaking news. Something happens, and you don't have Brooks sitting close to you to you to tell you what's going on. You hear that sound and you know what to do. And if you've got open waivers or...
You know, you can act. You can act quickly. It's time for match. I'm really excited. Fantasy forecast. We did it. Big breath. We got to the football season. We did talk through the Cowboys Buccaneers matchup on yesterday's show. So if you want to hear that matchup breakdown, Jason's got just a smile. That, yeah, I hope we're looking at the same thing. Well, it started with the drop.
And just realizing we're in the fantasy forecast. But then it was really taken over the top by Dean Pease. Yeah. So we have a note here from our editor-in-chief, the Borgogun, who is a Falcons Homer. But he just wanted to remind us about the defensive coordinator, Dean Pease, with the important note of he also poops. He does both. He does both. And that's what you want in a defensive coordinator. And this is great foreshadowing for the Atlanta Falcons. Oh, no.
Is it? It sure is. Well, let me lay it out here and we'll talk about the matchup. Eagles traveling to Atlanta take on the Falcons, the Draft King Sportsbook line for this game. It's Falcons minus three. The over under is 49 points. Battle of the birds, two bad defenses, two offenses we like.
for fantasy in a dome in Atlanta. I like this game. Mm-hmm. Yeah, this game, and I'm just glancing at it, starts the week is coming up, but there's three of them in this game. You've got a couple of quarterbacks that are, you know, if you drafted somebody that you are waiting on, both Matt Ryan and Jalen Hertz, the wheels up, right? Yeah, they are both absolutely in play. It is indoors. We know that things are just a little bit faster.
in Atlanta. Matt Ryan kills the yardage when he's playing at home, and you have entering the season, two of the worst secondaries in football is graded out by pro football focus. I mean, we're sitting at a 49 point over under. This game is a powder cake that can turn into just fantasy points, a paloosa, if this turns into a shootout, which I...
I would be shocked if it doesn't. Me too. I was actually surprised to see the line at 49 points. I would expect this to be an over 50 matchup. That's, that's, I don't think either of these defenses can stop either of these offenses. Right. So I do want players in this game. There are very few options that I would, like for instance, I've been going back and forth because of my Curtis Samuel injury on, on even Jalen Rager.
versus some other, you know, Terrace Marshall. Sure. I'm not calling a shot here that Jalen Rager is going to be special, but it's a pretty good matchup for, you know, Week 1, Jalen Hertz and Devante Smith and Jailen Rager. So who are we not liking in this matchup? Not liking in this matchup. I don't, you know, I think the tight-in situation for Philadelphia is still a mixed bag of like not knowing.
whether Zach Ertz or Dallas Goddard is a more viable start. They're both in play. They're probably both in play, but that also just, it's just not the most comfortable situation. Correct. So I guess that one stands out. Right now, Mike Davis should get all the work for Atlanta or the majority of it. Miles Sanders love him this week. So both of the running. I was going to say, Miles Sanders is, he's, you're playing him as a running back too. But fantasy points against last year the Falcons were not terrible because.
Not because they were a great defense against the run, but because you ran through the air. When you played against the Atlanta Falcons, you didn't need to run. And that's not Miles Sanders job, I don't believe anymore. I think that Boston Scott and the rookie Kenneth Gainwell will be the primary pass catchers at the running back position for the Falcons. Yeah, and we'll see how much the rushing volume of Jalen Hertz impacts the screen game in general.
for these two teams. I also, I think it's a good overview thing to say. These powder keg games, these potential fantasy point bonanzas are prime for week one overreactions too. Because if some of these players have huge weeks, maybe it's a Miles Sanders, maybe it's a Jalen Rager, maybe it's a Russell Gage. Maybe it's a Kyle Pitts. Yeah, maybe it's a Kyle Pitts. Jason is.
fully clenched. He knows what's about to happen. I do. I know what's about to happen this week and this season, and it's unfair. And this season. So we've reached that point, too? Well, I think he's going to get off. I think Kyle Pitts is going to get off to a strong start. I mean, you can't ask for a much better matchup than this. Week one at home against not a great secondary, possibly missing, you know, your main safety. So.
Yeah, Calvin Ridley and Devante Smith. Devonta Smith should have an opportunity to get off to a great start as well. And Ridley is our wide receiver three on the week. So you weren't going to sit, Calvin Ridley. No, I think Smith and Russell Gage are the biggest questions, right? Those are the guys that are actually decisions for people to make because where they were drafted, they might have other players. And I am playing Devontas Smith. Yes, 100% Devon. So is Mike in our League of Record, I believe. Yes.
The question is like, do you go Devante Smith or, I'm trying to pull up a different name? Like Devante Smith or. What about Beckham? I'd play Smith easily. But you're like Devante Smith or Leviska-Cenault versus Houston. Devante. Yeah, I would play Chanel. Devante Smith or Jerry Judy against the New York Giants. I want to retract my Chanelte over Smith comment. Can we go back in time? Sure. It wasn't that long ago. Yeah, I'd go Smith.
I would go Smith on both of those. Okay. All right. Before we get into our next matchup, we want to thank today's sponsor, Fight Camp. The Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Buffalo bills in Buffalo. This draft king sports book line here, bills minus six and a half, over under his 48.
which I think is a little higher than I expected in this game. Implied point total for Buffalo is almost 28, and for Pittsburgh it's 21. This is a rematch from week 14 last year. Buffalo won 26 to 15, which would have been the under. Yeah, and also as a reminder, that's when the Steelers started imploding at the end of last year. Yeah, I think some people forget that they were undefeated through, what, 11 weeks last year? Correct.
You know, for fantasy purposes in this game, how do we feel about the quarterback position? How do we feel about Josh Allen himself? Excellent. How do I feel? Okay. I mean, you just start Josh Allen each and every week? Yes, yeah. This isn't a, you don't draft a quarterback in the fourth round. Should I play him week one? Well, let's talk about it for dynasty purposes, though. You saddled up.
You know, people have multi-quarterbacks situations. I have to stare down Tom Brady and Josh Allen in a league. I'm going to go Brady, I guess. Again, that's why I ended last year. Let's just make the wrong choice again to start the year. But you have confidence that he'll do enough at home with the line the way it is? I do. And Buffalo is they're going to throw. This is how they're going to attack the Pittsburgh Steelers. I am not playing either of the Buffalo Bills running backs.
