This episode is brought to you by State Farm. Every football fan is different. Some won't wash their lucky mustard-stained jersey until the season's over. Some insist they can't sit down on third downs and some pick their favorite team because, I don't know, just like football fandom, nobody's life is exactly the same. And that's why State Farm gets to know you, not as a policy number, but as an actual person.

so they can help personalize a coverage plan that's just for you. Whether it's game day or just another Tuesday, State Farm has you covered. This is the story of the one. As a shipping manager, he's running the dock, stocking supplies, and making sure every order goes out on time. And Granger helps him stay prepared. From shipping supplies to PPE to hand tools, he counts on Granger to keep products moving and trucks rolling. So his operation runs smoothly.

0:55 ↗

No matter the shift. Call 1-800 Granger. Click Granger. Or just stop by, Granger, for the ones who get it done. A fantasy footballers podcast with your host, Andy Holloway, Jason Moore, and Mike Wright. Oh, welcome, man. Oh, take it easy. He's agitated. The bear? Yes. Yes, indeed.

1:46 ↗

Welcome into the show Thursday, April 14th. The fantasy footballers, the minus one. That's right. Jay Gris in the house today. Mike Wright is here. I'm Andy Holloway, but we have a cardboard bear extraordinaire. In the place of Big Shimmie, Jay Sizzle himself. Jay Sizzle. I'm just trying it on. Jason's not with us today, unfortunately. We have a second R.B. Ranking show.

2:18 ↗

Why isn't he with us today, Mike? He got it. He finally got it. He did. Got the Rona. Yep. It's, yeah. Unexpected. Things have been nice and calm. Nice and chill. And then suddenly it reared its ugly virus head. The Spanish Inquisition. No one expects it. But this is, uh, this is the first, uh, the first one of us to go down.

2:48 ↗

Not surprised it was the weaker one. I didn't want to say it out loud. I was thinking it real hard. Now, we may be joking around, but that's only because he is feeling quite well indeed. Soreth, a little bit tired and already extremely irritated to be stuck in a room at home and not here talking to you folks. He would have been on the show today from home, but he said it hurts the time.

3:15 ↗

It hurts to talk. That is the common cry of the of Omicron. It has the cry of Omicron. It goes, and that's what he's doing. So, but we're here. We're here, and we miss you, Jay. Get better soon. Should be back with us next week. And we've got a lot of running backs to talk about Al Borland in the building, the Borgogan as well. We've got a skeleton crew. Yeah. Because it's just the Giamati fella isn't here today either.

3:47 ↗

That's right. Not sick. Nope. Fellow ball boy. Is that what? Are we going with? I don't know. You tell me. What were the? There were too many, too many suggestions that weren't good. And no, we, we, I mean, people want, a lot of people making a really, really abundant effort to tie in the foot clan with some sort. A bunion effort? Yeah, with some sort of foot or toe relate, like everything from toe jam, toenails, bro nails, feet,

4:17 ↗

things, I mean, the shoes, the socks. I mean, they're laying it on thick on that front. And the ball boys, I mean, the Jam Squad, the Ball Boys, those came up on the show. The Bunions, people bring that one up again with the feet because of the Borgogan, Brooksie, and Borland. Borland. And then there's a lot of them out there. And I don't think we've settled just yet. We have not. We are still running through. Water Boys. I don't mind that.

4:46 ↗

The Water Boys is okay. Because they help out. I also like producers of our podcast show. Producers of our podcast show. So what would the acronym be? Poops. The poops. The poops. Okay. Okay. Definitely on brand. We're still working. We're still looking. And then, you know, the deucers. I'm not sure. Like a shorthand for producers. The deusers? What do you think of that? I like it. The fab three. Number two.

5:16 ↗

The Fab 3, but that's like Fab, no. Like the Fab 5, but no. Yeah, but that has alliteration. Right. This doesn't. The Fab 3 does not. We need two more. We'll get there. The dinner butter club? No. It's a little too. No. Too big. Dinner that happened. I still like ball boys. I like it. What's better? Ball boys or water boys? Ball boys. It is by ball boys? I concur.

5:41 ↗

Both of you think that. See, people thought water boys, they were conveying that that's better because it's more complimentary. Like somehow that's a higher calling to be bringing the water than getting the balls? Who's higher up? The water boy or the ball boy? I think the water boys probably higher up, right? I think people think that just because Adam Sandler made a movie about a water boy. Yeah. And then he became a superstar football player. Okay. I know Jason's a big fan of the Ducers.

6:09 ↗

All right, couple headlines here for you before we get into some news and some more running back rankings. Thank you, Mike. Footclanhelp.com. This is our one and only time we'll be calling for some new writers on the website. We don't post the link anywhere. We want people who love the show. So we only mention it here on the show. If you go to footclanhelp.com, you can apply to write for the fantasy footballers.com. And...

6:38 ↗

We have a great group of writers right now. I'm going to add a couple more names to that list. Get the privilege of working with the Borgogun on a regular basis. Privilege slash curse, as I would say. But footclanhelp.com. That's it. That's all I'm saying. That's it. Not mentioning it anymore. What web address? Twitter at the F.F. Ballers. Are you doing all right today, Mike? I am doing good. You got the sun's cap on the playoffs, getting ready to start. I'm sure people want to hear about that.

7:08 ↗

Oh, I can't wait to talk about Sons and Four. Oh, no. That was so fun last year. I'm doing all right. We're just, you know, was a wild day yesterday as we were trying to get our wits about us of how to handle, you know, Jason making sure he's okay. His family's okay. Are the rest of us okay? And so just just still trying to find my bearings. It was like you scattered cockroaches. I mean, we. It was.

7:36 ↗

We got the test results in from Jason and everyone. That was the light. That was the light. And it's just everybody scrambled into different places. So we'll make it through. Yep. A reminder to check out ultimate draft kit.com. You want to get the ultimate draft kit now when it's cheaper. Get access to the dynasty pass. Let's talk news. News and notes from around the league. The cockroaches was actually one of the popular names.

8:09 ↗

That was brought up for the three guys, maybe. That's not as flattering. No, no. But I was a real popular entry. Okay. What I understand. All right. We have, we got some news, contract news. Send in the car. Send in the car. Congratulations. Derek Carr three-year, $121 million extension through 2025. You know me. I'm quick to give Derek Carr credit. You are. You are, you're quick to get on and off of that, of that bus.

8:40 ↗

Yeah, that's fair. I mean, that's... But of the three of us, you have definitely been the most supportive of Derek Carr. And it's... It's just a sign of the NFL. Like, Derek Carr is a good player. He is not an elite quarterback. I'm sure that he would disagree with that. But the general public at large, like, Carr is just... They know. He's not an elite quarterback, but he's a good player.

9:08 ↗

And when you have a good quarterback and you have a situation where you can win, this is what you got to do now in the NFL is you pay them just a crap ton of money. And they weren't going to start over. So congratulations, Mr. Carr. Sorry to interrupt you there. Would you rather have Derek Carr or Kirk Cousins be your quarterback? Oh, that's interesting. Because I have a thought on that, but I'm curious to your answer.

9:38 ↗

I, Derek Carr's younger, I think, right? I mean, Derek Carr. Don't even factor that in. Just factor in like. He's a lot younger. He's 34. Yeah. I guess I just mean as your quarterback, as your leader, who do you think is a better combination of the two? I think that like when Cousins is on, he's better, but Carr with a little bit more consistent and there's still, it's hard to really shake any.

10:10 ↗

thing of being concerned about like Kirk Cousins and being clutch. Yeah. So I guess I'd go Carr. Yeah, I think he's a better leader, even if he's more limited as a quarterback. And last year to the playoffs, they add Devante Adams. There's some hope there. So congrats to Mr. Carr. Yeah. I mean, look at that. Like Carr was able to get an elite wide receiver to come to his team. Yeah, they would not have. Kurt Cousins was able to get an elite wide receiver to want to go play for a different team.

10:40 ↗

With Stefan Diggs? Yeah. Yeah, that's true. Ipsopecto. Travis E.T.N says he feels like he's 85 to 90% recovered from LISFranc surgery last August. Some research on LISFranc injuries. They start fewer games two and three years post-surgery compared to those without a history of the injury. Performance is reduced by 21% in the first year after surgery.

11:09 ↗

His injury was obviously as early as it could have come last year. And James Robinson's recovering from an Achilles injury in the week 16 of last season. What they're going to do at the running back room is fascinating. Yeah, I mean, they need another body. They do. It was very funny to watch the interview with ETN. I don't know if you saw that, Kyle. But he was just like, you know, if I was going to miss any year in the NFL.

11:39 ↗

This would be the one to miss. Because he missed the whole experiment with Urban Meyer. Urban Myers. So it was a funny watch, but he's getting himself back. He'll be competing in the running back room. Noah Fant's 50-year option picked up by the Seahawks. Great. So Noah Fant and Will Disley. Yeah. Yep. And then Anthony Furkser, signed by the Falcons. Oh, baby. One-year contract. How's that feel, Kyle?

12:08 ↗

The FERC daddy came home. FERC daddy fresh. Firk Daddy fresh. Does that really change your outlook for the, for the Falcons this season? Are you feeling a little bit better about that receiving corps? I don't consider him part of the team. Okay. Oh. Okay. Furk daddy, not making an impact. Oh. I'm sure you were like, you're still burnt that they missed out on Byron Pringle. Somebody. Do we have any other news over there?

12:37 ↗

You got anything, Kyle? We're good. Anything exciting? No extension for Kyle. No three-year extension for Kyle. He's one year to time. Oh, we go year-to-year. Yep, for him. With the bunions. See, I don't like that. I don't like that one. No bunions. No bunions. All right. Let's talk rankings. Running bags. All right, we just did the top 10 running backs on our consensus early rankings on Tuesday's show, Mike.

13:13 ↗

Let me ask you a question before we get into 11 through however many we can. Did you find it easier than you expected or more difficult to put players in a particular order at this time of year? It's far more difficult when you're looking at it, you know, just from a high level perspective like this where it's not the statistics surprising you from time to time. And it's like the top is easy and then just the further you go down, you realize, oh, but I.

13:43 ↗

I think I like this player more than player Y, and then you move it, and then the entire Mosaic puzzle just get screwed up yet again. So when you get into this range, it does start to get difficult. So for those that are new to the show where you need a refresher, when we get our UDK rankings out there, those are our full stat projections. We go team by team, player by player, every offensive player in the league.

14:08 ↗

We look at last season. We look at the depth chart. This is post-draft. And we're literally projecting every single statistic for those players. And that determines the ranking. So at that stage, when you hit June, when that releases post-draft, you're getting the byproduct of statistical projections. So we're not sitting there trying to make a player number six or number 10 or number 24. It's an outcome of the stats.

14:38 ↗

Right now, this is just an initial order, and then we're putting our rankings together and seeing what the consensus is. But it's fun to talk about these players and see where we're at. One through 10 was Jonathan Taylor, Christian McCaffrey, Derek Henry, Austin Eckler, Dalvin Cook, Giovante Williams, Alvin Kamara, Najee Harris, Joe Mixin. I should say the disrespected Joe Mixon and James Connor. Because nothing I've seen more.
