Fantasy Football Podcast for Week 6/7

In our defense, the guys, the experts on the James Jones side, those are guys that I like. Oh, okay. Not that I dislike the other guys, but these are guys that I really like. So I'm calling that, I'm taking a victory. So the experts have taken ODB. Next on the list, we got Pierre Garsohn or Sammy Watkins. Garson against the Titans, Watkins against the Vikings. Yeah, see, I try and make them tough. Yeah, no, this one's a tough one.

And Garsohn was much of a no-show last week. That's very true. He got the garbage, not garbage, but he got the late touchdown. Right. I'm going to go with Garcon over the Titans, mostly because of their secondary. And I will go with Sammy Watkins and the police officer who throws him the ball. Have you seen these pictures of Orton lately? Yeah.

You nailed it. I didn't even think about that. It is amazing. So I think if you look like a police officer, then you get a couple, a police officer from the 70s. Ooh. The experts agree with you. 64% Pierre Garsohn. Okay. So Sammy Watkins, 36%. Man, that was much closer in the last weeks. But these are still not terrible. At least I haven't hit the 70% where it's just ridiculous.

So the experts agree they would play Pierre Garson. All right, let's move to number three. Okay, I did it again, which is really funny. This one is Kelvin Benjamin versus the Packers or T.Y. Hilton against the Bengals. And Kelvin Benjamin made my starts of the week. I did this last week with Floyd, and there must be some subconscious things going on. So I'm going Kelvin Benjamin. Okay.

I'm going to agree on Kelvin Benjamin. I think the T.Y. Hilton thing's kind of a fluke. All right, let's pull it up. The experts have spoken. 61% Kelvin Benjamin. Okay. So the experts lean with us. I see some names that I like that are on the T.Y. Hilton bandwagon. It's just so hard for me to get behind T.Y. with his... He is generally boom-bust guy. Yeah.

And a very combustible one. I had the fortunateness of playing against it. Yeah, you did. The old Thursday explosion. Yeah. Oh, which made. Talk about ruining your weekend on Thursday. Yeah. Great, I'm going to lose fantasy this week. The rest of it hasn't even happened. All right, this is now, because we're assuming he plays. Right. Ronnie Hillman against the Niners, Reggie Bush against the Saints.

Hmm. Now that I look at it out, this one probably is not as close as I initially thought, but we'll find out. No, I don't want to get this wrong, but I think I'm going to go with Reggie Bush against the Saints. You're going Bush. I'm going to go Hillman, and what I now actually think is going to be a landslide. Nope, not. It's much close than I thought. 61% Hillman. Okay. So, not bad. Hillman might be a good time that we should mention this. Hillman was the guy.

Yeah. We weren't sure who it was going to be because they had the three backs, and you never know with the Broncos, but Hillman got, he got the lion's share of the carries. And surprisingly enough, Thompson was the backup. Julian Thompson, CJ Anderson, I think, got one snap. Yeah. And so don't worry about C.J. Anderson. I might gamble on putting Thompson on my roster because.

Who knows how long Hillman will stay in favor. It's true. If you have the spot, it's worth it. I'm also right. This matchup, like 49ers D-Lines, nothing to Gokka by any means. They can stop a run. I don't know where they rank at that right now. I don't have that stat right in front of me, but yeah, I can definitely see Hillman having a good day. And he's definitely the back to have from Denver. From Denver. All right. Last one of taking fantasy footballers versus the world.

Larry Fitzgerald versus the Raiders or Keenan Allen versus the Chiefs. Larry Fitzgerald had, I think, his best game of the year last week. That is true. He looked good. Keenan Allen has been bad. Yeah. He is not, and what's so crazy about Keenan Allen's disappearance is Philip Rivers is dominating. Yeah.

He's one of the best quarterbacks in the league right now. He is just dominating. And I think maybe some of what's going on is he's just finding whoever, maybe his vision is working on all cylinders right now where he's finding the open guy making the correct pass instead of force feeding. He's not going Stafford with Calvin Johnson. Right. Where Calvin Johnson's the first, second, third, and fourth read. Rivers is actually going through his progressions and maybe Keenan Allen's not getting open.

Larry Fitzgerald, 54%. Ooh. I got a good one in there. So 54% to 46% right now. I don't know if these chains throughout the week, I doubt it. I mean, Fitzgerald hasn't had a great season. No, he is not. I mean, after last week and even showed some positive signs from the week before, I think that it could be on a climb up. Part of Fitzgerald problem is much like Michael Floyd is the quarterback. Right.

First up, our buddy Keith, he's asking a trade question. Do I try, oh, I like this one even more now that I'm looking of interest. Do we trade Eddie Lacey and Mohammed Sunu for Jamal Charles? Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Yeah, that's so tough.

Here's what we will break down. Sunu is on fire. He's the guy now for Andy Dalton. Andy Dalton has been a, he is a monogamous quarterback. That's very true. He finds his bromance on the field, and he sticks with it. Sunu can end up at least second or third ring. First and third. And for all the...

For all the hype and excitement following one game of Eddie Lacey being back. Right. And now he, the other Eddie Lacey's back. Yeah. Maybe. Yeah, me. And lots of James Stark snaps. So would you trade that pair for Jamal Charles, who is, his season has actually been a bit up and down as well? Yes. I think it is a completely fair trade.

But with AJ Green out, I think you have to keep Sanu for the time being. And Lacey is a serviceable back. Yeah, that's what I would stick with. The value of Charles is there. If you have other receivers who you are okay with, then I'm going to make the trade. But it's funny that Muhammad Sanu is the tipping point for this. A guy you grabbed off of waivers, you're like,

I'm not trading that guy. Yeah. But so I... I mean, I guess here is your chance to get the value for him because... That's also a very good point. Right. Right now you could sell him high. And this is a... This is difficult because I always like to have the best player in the trade, and that's Jamal Charles. Yeah. But I think I might write out Lacey and Sunu. Yeah. Next email. Our friend Christian says, who's better, rest of season? Oh, Andy is not here. Andy would love this question. Rest of season, Ben Tate or Andre Ellington. Both who were, these were darlings. Yeah. Fantasy darlings at the start of the season for Andy. Yep.

So who are you taking the rest of the season? I mean, I went as far as drafting Terrence West, so, I mean, not until far late. I guess that, yeah. Ben Tate's going to get hurt again. I'm going with Andre Ellington. Ben Tate has looked, he's looked good. It was a bit of a slow start against Pittsburgh. True. The crow, cacao, was actually outperforming him, but then Ben Tate got the goal line carries. Ellington has had this foot thing, which we're not hearing anymore.

about the foot, and he seems okay. I'm going to take Ellington. Yeah. I'm going to take Ellington for the rest of the season. A combination of crow and injury. usurped by Jerich McKinnon. McKinning got the bulk of the carries. And Jeremy Hill is, he's actually had, he's had fine standalone value. In our league format, he's averaging 10 points a week. Which, for a lower end running back, that's fine, maybe a flex play. However, Geo, he hurt his shoulder. It looked pretty bad. He came back in the game, so we think he's okay. We haven't heard anything else.

But if Gio Bernard goes down, to me, Jeremy Hill is an instant running back one. Absolutely. Running back, too, minimum. So if you have Gio on your team, there's no way you make this trade. But let's say you do not. You used to have Jeremy Hill. Are you going to hold on to him with that lottery ticket, or are you going to pick up the other scratcher of Jared McKinnon? Yeah, I mean, both of these are gambles. I actually really like Jeremy Hill. I think that right now it would be worth getting.

um jerrick um just with jeremy not with jeremy hill not starting i think right now you have the chance to get more out of jerrig yeah i if you don't have geo if you if you're not trading jeremy hill but hold on to your handcuff if you uh if you do not i think i'm going to take the the chance i'm akin to turning into something right uh i think it's not that we weren't sure of this but the but

Peterson is, he's not playing this year. And then watch, he's going to, we're all, like, this Justin, breaking us. We're all, Peterson is done. And then for the fantasy playoffs, whoever held on to him, it just gets an automatic win. But I'm going with Jerich McKinnon. And our last email of the day from Anthony is a trade question. Would you trade Matt Ryan, Fred Jackson, and the aforementioned Jerich McKinnon? So it's a three-bagger.

Matt Ryan, Fred Jackson, Derek McKinnon for Big Ben and LaShawn McCoy. I think that's another quarterback, maybe. Big Ben to me should be like waiver fuel, like just somebody to get you to a week. He's off your quarterback one list? Yeah, exactly. I mean, you know this personally from our conversations. I'm not huge into quarterbacks because once you go out of the top eight, six even, like the point differential is not huge. It's a week-to-week thing.

I would personally hold on to Matt Ryan, Fred Jackson, and McKinn. Shady McCoy is wonderful, but there's more value you can get in there. Now, this is surprisingly close for me. Matt Ryan, I have growing concerns for Matt Ryan in Atlanta. The O-line is in shambles. He seems to only be good at home, which is 50% of your games. That is a good point. Oh, man.
