Fantasy Football Podcast for Week 6/7

I don't know. We'll see. It has been building for the past couple weeks. Right. But he wasn't home. And wait. No, that was in Houston. That was in Houston. He was in a dome. That's more what I meant to say. Because T.Y. Hilton outside is useless. It's true. But in a dome, he does produce and at home, especially, even though it wasn't at home. Whatever. Right. All right.

Everyone's maybe favorite, because I think the new segment is the favorite segment, but the... This is my favorite time. Maybe it's your favorite segment. Let's talk about poop. Poopped in his big boy pants. Pooped his big boy pants. Oh, so first on the list, Shane Vereen. Ugh. You got Ridley's out. You still can't produce. Nope.

So I guess we can talk about the New England running backs at this time. So we got Shane Vereen. So the backups to take over for Ridley. You got Bolden and James White. Is that right? Did I say his name right? I'm staying away. Yeah, I wouldn't buy into this. If I have Vereen, I guess I'm still going to hold him and hope that his value goes up. Do you start him this week? Man, after that poop. Who are they playing?

The, checking out the schedule. Oh, of course. They're Thursday night against the Jets. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. So I think I am starting him just because of Thursday night massacre. Yep. Is that in New England too? Yeah, I think so. So the, and just another PSA, please give her a Thursday night football. Although last week turned, they were so happy because it turned into a game, but that thing was a blowout forever.

And then Fitzmagic did not have enough Fitzmagic. Yeah. I mean, I like the football week to be spread out like this. I just don't like it to be every Thursday at this rate. I mean... I just want the quality to improve. Exactly. Not only you rushed on fantasy, but furthermore, every player is not as well prepared. We're seeing all these home team blowouts week after week. Like you said, minus this last week, which still... That turned out to be a great game, luckily. I don't know. I'm torn. Yeah. And...

And that's just selfish of us for thinking of fantasy. Right. I did. I had a friend of mine who was asking me about some guys for Sunday, because he was asking about Floyd, who I ranted about. I loved Floyd this week, but we weren't sure at this time if Palmer or Stanton were going to play. That's true. And he had Hopkins. I was like, you have to put Hopkins in because we don't know right now if Floyd, even though Floyd was my start of the week, because I thought Stanton was going to get cleared sooner.

It just, it was a mess, and he couldn't use him. Right. Because he was forced, his hand was forced to avoid that, avoid weapon X, Logan Thomas. Man, that guy's not ready. Speaking of Hopkins, also, pants be pooped. Oh, yes. Yeah, and then I felt really bad for telling my friend to play Hopkins. Oh, yeah, he did not produce. There was a lot of points scored by his way. And Hopkins didn't want, and.

Hopkins, did you, so did you analyze the last play where the Fitzpatrick fumbled? No, not in its entire. Oh, my goodness. And D'Andre Hopkins is, he just freezes. The fumble could have been his, but he made a complete business decision of, I'm not getting in there. But if you go back and you watch the film, it looks like he could have gotten the ball. But he does this.

I'm trying to get the fumble. Oh, no, there it goes. Yeah, and then Indy recovers, he's like, oh, drats. If only I had been closer. But the two defenders, I mean, they just, like a cheeseburger on the ground, they're just diving at it, and Hopkins is like, eh, no. He's vegan.

I don't know if that's true. It's not an insult either way. It worked for the whatever the metaphor I was using. I put this one in because I think it needs to be talked about. This guy didn't play and pooped his pants. Terrence West. He has been surpassed by the crow. I love Crowell. Cuckaw! I've talked about it many times.

But it's official. It's no longer speculation. Terrence West was benched for an undrafted rookie. To start this year, I was pretty high on Terrence West, too. Yes, because we didn't really know about Crowell. True. Until that first game, when he scored twice. Yep. So I think Terrence West is dropable. Oh, absolutely. I have no reason to keep him on a bench. Storm Johnson sucked as expected. Yep.

Big Ben, what do we do about Big Ben? That is, it's a surprising week-to-week thing for me. Because he had two great matchups in a row, Jaguars, then Browns. And he sucked. Luckily, he had the game against Carolina before that, too. Where he was good. Yeah. But I'm saying he's had two great matchups and has not produced. Oh, I seriously. And he did score, he had massive garbage yesterday, so it somewhat saved his...

Fantasy Day and mine. Right. But Big Ben is a, he is an enigma of, you think his matchups are good and then he doesn't produce. His matchups bad. He has a great game. Exactly. So I don't know if I trust him very much. And then we'll talk about one more. Larry Danelle, that's another really bad game. Yes. For the Giants' tight end.

And although I believe he had a touchdown that was called back on a sketchy penalty. Yeah. But are you bailing on him? What do you think? I'm a little indifferent on that one, to be honest. Don't know yet? Yeah. I still need to see more for sure. I haven't been completely on either, so it's the level of indifference I have towards it. I am for sure not dropping him yet.

With Victor Cruz out, you would think that his targets have to increase unless ODB is going to pick him up. I didn't come up with that one, but I love it. Back up. O'D, that is amazing. I guess one more to talk about as far as the pooping pants. This isn't going to be a consistent thing out of him, but Russell Wilson really struggled against Dallas. He did.

I mean, in our league, 10 points or something like that. Yeah. This is one of his, I think this is the first home game of his where he did not put up multiple touchdowns. That's very possible. I'm not sure on that step. I'm not 100% on that step, but. That was a very surprising game. Yeah. Especially fantasy-wide. And Seattle, they apparently forgot that Marshaun Lynch was on their team. No joke. Like, we should keep throwing the bite.

You know you have one of the best running backs in the league? Give him the ball. Maybe he didn't want to be embarrassed in front of DeMarco Murray. It's possible. Murray's bones are going to explode in his body.

I fear for it because Dallas is going to rely on him heavily throughout the rest of the season. And at some point, I fear for an injury for him. I don't want it to happen. Yeah, we never want it to happen, but he's carrying the weight of that football team. There's no way it can't happen. Right. Let's move to the waiver wire. Put me in, coach. which is a fantastic resource for everybody out there to get information, all kinds of information. Really anything you're looking for in the week, they'll have it available. And they, weekly, we'll put out their waiver wire, top waiver wire targets. So we grabbed their target list, and we're going to go through some of these guys, talk about if we actually like them, if we agree with them or not. And number one on the list is ODB, Odell Beckham Jr.

and I probably agree with this is the number one. It's a strange, strange is the wrong word, it's a light waiver wire week, especially after last week's humongous, right? We had, well, and we had three potentially huge targets. True. Odell Beckham, he should be a starter now. Cruz is gone for the year.

Pretty much any receiver right now for the Giants, I feel, has an equal shot to take over that number. Right. I think Reuben Randall takes a bump as well. So maybe he's out there in your league. But the crow. Number two. Isaiah. Oh, yes. He is one Ben Tate injury away from being a running back one. Do you think Ben Tate gets hurt again?

Do I love Chipotle burritos? You did have a... I did go bowl. You went bowl. I'm watching the carbs. Oh. I got a football game tonight, so I want to be light. Fair enough. But the answer to that is yes. Yeah. And I don't... So a Ben Tate injury would not shock. It wouldn't shock Ben Tate. No. That's how much... He'd be like, I can't believe I got injured again. You're like, no, Ben Tate would go, ah, yeah. We were due. It's been a couple weeks since I got hurt.

Brandon Bolden, we talked about him. Andre Holmes, I mentioned him. Third-year receiver, Derek Carr is persevering in the midst of just an awful situation. Yeah. New coach, the Raiders is just a toilet. Well, and they've flat out said that Speron is not going to be a full-time coach. Like, this is it for him. So the very little motivation that that team has to play is.

I don't get the mid-season coach firing. I feel like it makes your franchise look even worse than you already are. They were neck and neck of who is the worst right now of Jacksonville and the Raiders, and then the Raiders did the coach move, so I think far less of them. I feel like they have no idea what they're doing where the Jaguars are at least maybe they're building. I'm like, oh, they haven't fired it. Maybe they're building. They haven't built in a long time.

It's like our road construction. Yeah. It's any road in Scott still. Three years later. Oh, they repaired the street light. They widened crosswalk. I like Andre Holmes. I do too. I'm a little bit bigger right now on James Jones if he's available in any waiver wires, which isn't likely. That is very fair. He's getting more targets anyway at the time being.

And James Jones does have the pedigree. Yeah. Yeah, but Andre Holmes has tons of talent, third year. I totally buy into third year receivers. I think that's, if they're going to blow up, that's when they do it. Right. So also on the list, Devante Adams, we talked about him last week. Cesar Schwartz had a pretty good week talking about the injury guys. Cecil Schwartz is, he gets injured while he's taking a nap. He does, I'm sure.

He just wakes up, oh, my hamstring. It should have stretched so hard. Storm Johnson. The Jaguars just cannot run. Let's see. If there's anyone else who I really, Brandon Lafell, I think that is an interesting name. The Patriots wide out. He's had a couple of big games. Tom Brady, it looks like he is.

And this is not a surprising thing, but Tom Brady, I believe, I believe he hears the media when the media is burying him. And he says, F you, I'm Tom Brady. And he's like, I'm going to throw four touchdown passes. Yeah. So it would not, it seems like Lafell is growing into the top deep target. So he's probably worth a, he's worth grabbing. He's worth rostering. Yeah, absolutely.
